I have my senior prom in June and i’m trying to plan now and get everything out of the way. I wanna go for a teal/silver color scheme like the one in my Pinterest screenshot but I have no idea what to do with my hairstyle. I’m deciding between braids and a wig - if I get braids idk if I want boho, french curl, or pick and drop and if I get a wig idk if I want a middle part, curly side part, or curly updo. I also can’t decide whether I want to do black, dark brown (like color 4), or medium brown (like color 30). I feel completely lost and would love any advice on what everyone thinks would look best with the ‘vibe’ I’m going for. I’m in the bridal party for a wedding I honestly do not want to attend at this point. The entire planning process has been a complete mess. When my friend first announced her engagement last year, I really tried to help her get organized because I know planning is not her strong suit. We even met for lunches with her mother in law, who was paying for the wedding, to try to get things moving. Unfortunately those meetings went nowhere and nothing ever actually got accomplished. For months I kept asking her to start a group chat with the bridesmaids so we could all be in the loop and help plan things together. My thinking was that if we coordinated as a group, it would take pressure off of her. Instead I got a text at two in the morning on Valentine’s Day asking if it would be okay to start a group chat. At that point I just thought, why are you asking permission, just make the chat and move forward. Now we are one week away from the wedding and only four out of the ten bridesmaids even have their dresses. The dress information was only sent out at the end of February, or at least that is when some of us heard about it. I also just received a text this weekend asking if we could donate money and attend a bachelorette party this Saturday and Sunday. It feels like new requests and decisions are still coming in constantly at the last minute. The schedule is also confusing. The rehearsal dinner is Friday evening but the wedding is Sunday evening, with the reception not starting until seven. Normally that would not be a big deal, but the wedding is about three hours away in the middle of nowhere with nothing planned in between those days. There are also unexpected expenses. We were originally told that hair and makeup would be covered because the bride wanted everyone to have the same hairstyle. Now we have to pay for it ourselves, which is apparently going to be about four hundred dollars. I would not have minded contributing if we had known earlier, but it is frustrating to find out about another large cost at the last minute. The dresses are also extremely questionable. They are Barney purple and the hairstyle is this side swept Taylor Swift look from around 2011. The original dress idea was a short A line tutu. I told her that looked more like something for a junior prom. Keep in mind that most of the women in the bridal party are over thirty seven and have kids. Her daughter is twenty one and I am the next youngest at thirty two with an infant. Her response was that A line looks good on everyone. I think she received a lot of pushback because the dress changed, but the new one somehow looks even worse. On top of that, I now have to buy a backup dress just in case the original one does not arrive in time. At this point it feels like I am hemorrhaging money for someone else’s event. This is not my wedding, my child, or my life event. To make things even more complicated, my husband and I will have to leave the reception early because he has meetings on Monday that he absolutely cannot miss. Solo Musician or Band Musician (Active Career): Career Dynamic: As Sims’ skills increase (Instrument, Singing, Charisma, Entrepreneur) and build relationships with key figures (i.e., Promoter, Producer, etc.), they’ll unlock access to higher-paying gigs, exclusive venues, and special events. For those choosing the band musician path, managing relationships with band members is crucial. Band member's skills, moods, relationship levels will impact band performances. Players can ask NPC Sims or Sims outside their household to join the band. Regular practice sessions with the band will increase skills for everyone and improve overall performance quality. Career Progression: Sims start by performing at small house parties, busking on the street, or even performing at local bars for a small crowd. As their skills and reputation grow, they can progress to larger venues such as lounges, clubs, etc. Career Goal: Reach Level 10 and headline the Music Fest (similar animations to what we had in the 2021 in-game music festival), becoming a world-renowned musician or band leader. Unlock special career achievements like “Legendary Performer” and “Music Icon.” Music Genres: Players will be prompted to choose a primary genre for their Sim or band. Sims can choose from existing in-game music genres or explore new ones introduced with the pack. Challenges: When asking a Sim to join a band, they will express their opinion on the band’s primary genre. If they love the genre, they’ll be more eager to join and more motivated during practice and performances. If a sim dislikes the genre, there’s a chance they’ll reject the offer to join the band or join reluctantly, which could result in lower performance quality, slower-skill progression, and no shows or disagreements during band practice. Music Producer (Active Career): Career Dynamic: Gives players a chance to shape the music industry from behind the scenes, using their Sims’ creativity and business acumen to turn aspiring musicians into superstars.
