I'm a guy, when I travel, apart from clothes I take a toothbrush, razor, deodorant, toothpaste, aftershave, shampoo and shower gel and a tiny pair of scissors. It all fits nicely in my wash bag. Why do some women need a whole suitcase for their cosmetic stuff, can't they travel light?
It's like they are packing for the apocalypse, I can't even imagine what their baggage weight is! Do they use all this stuff or are they covering for every single possible eventuality... Edit: Side comment on the topic.... Do you think women (and some guys) are being taken advantage of by the cosmetic industry making them believe they need all this stuff? almost to the point that without it their face will implode or fall off. submitted by /u/TSQ_builder to r/askanything [link] [comments]

₹119/hr to carry your bags in Lajpat Nagar.
CarryMen launched in April. Foldable chairs, power banks, stroller rentals, 12kg weight limit per guy. 50 bookings in month one, all word ofmouth. Genuinely solving a real problem for elderly shoppers and pregnant women in chaotic Delhi markets. But here's the moat question: the moment a customer saves the worker's number directly, the platform ceases to exist. At ₹119/hr, margins are razor thin. The entire addressable market is currently one neighbourhood in Delhi. And they're collecting zero data - queue times, peak hours, purchase patterns - that could actually make this defensible. Twitter named this "chotu AI." I'd say it's more like chotu Dunzo.. and we know how that ended. Is there a real business here, or just another good hustle? submitted by /u/Extension-Visit-6298 to r/IndiaBusiness [link] [comments]

I’m leaving the subreddit because informative posts keep getting removed when they could be used to help not just sexual abuse survivors of all kinds, but humanity.
There are some posts like a video about the DynCorp sex abuse scandal that Kathryn Bolkovac exposed, the Sascha Riley claims that he was a child victim of a snuff ring that Epstein and Trump participated in, or the names of the male and female co-conspirators of the Epstein inner circle have been getting removed even though they are multiple files saying of their involvement or at least knowledge of the Epstein operation. Hell even stuff like the alleged Sarajevo Safari get dismissed even though Epstein was alleged to hunt black people or my most recent post asking what is Trump building his ballroom/bunker for get removed because it is “off topic”. I am not saying that we need to go all Alex Jones and spout conspiracy theories but it seems like you are part of Bannon’s winning strategy: flood the zone and get rid of the quality safeguards! This doesn’t even go into the dismissal of male testimonies or black people’s voices (just look at the comments on this post). We need to stop with this perfect victim mentality because it hurts everybody and see that Epstein and company were using or at least interested in using dangerous psychotropic substances on victims. If this is not due to malice then, there is a saying that you guys should be aware of: “Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence”. Edit: It is so annoying that I get condescended to when I want to do the right thing, whenever it is about the discussion of the continuation on racial sexual profiling of young black girls, the victims not always being female or white, wanting to discuss about the alleged human hunting of black people and Eastern Europeans or wanting to reach out to the NYC mayor about a female co-conspirator living in his city. submitted by /u/Fair_Term3352 to r/Epstein [link] [comments]

New update: AITAH for telling my wife that I will lose respect for her if she doesn't apologize?
DO NOT COMMENT ON LINKED POSTS. I am NOT OP. Original post by u/TechnicalHousing97 in r/AITAH, r/neurodiversity, r/offmychest, and r/Redditor_Updates Previous BORU New updates marked with ****** trigger warnings: verbal abuse, intellectual elitism, possible ableism, homophobia, antisemitism, racism mood spoilers: sad and frustrating   AITAH for telling my wife that I will lose respect for her if she doesn't apologize? - December 6, 2025 My wife and I have three kids. Thursday my wife was helping our nine year old with her homework. She was supposed to fill in a chart with the times tables. That was a hectic day. Our four year old threw up, and I was trying to clean him up, and my wife was having trouble getting our nine year old to focus on what she was doing because she kept looking at me. Our nine year old hates math and is pretty bad at it, which annoys my wife who is usually fantastic at math. My wife asked our daughter was seven times seven was. Our daughter said she didn't know. My wife kept telling her to try to think of any answer. She kept saying she didn't know. My wife was getting frustrated. Our daughter finally guessed 37. My wife said "close, 47." Our thirteen year old then said "no mom, it's 49." My wife snapped at that point and told him to shut up and go upstairs. He went into the backyard instead. She took a deep breath and then went into our room. I finished with our four year old and then went outside. I tried to talk to him, but he didn't want to listen. He kept saying "but dad, seven times seven is 49." I told him his mom just got frustrated and didn't mean to yell at him. He kept insisting that seven times seven in 49 (which I am aware of), so I got nowhere. I went back inside to talk to my wife. She said she knew she shouldn't have yelled. She said she was frustrated because he was distracting her, and that's why she made the mistake. I pointed out that she made the mistake before he said anything. She started crying and asked why I was being so critical. I apologized and told her I loved her. We hugged it out, but then I asked her if she was going to go and apologize to our 13 year old. She said no, because he shouldn't have interrupted her. She said he was rude and needed to learn not to interrupt. I told her it's not okay to tell him to shut up. We went back and forth, and finally I said I won't be able to respect her as much if she doesn't apologize. That really hurt her. She said she needed space. She hasn't said a word to me or him since Thursday. I know that what I said is harsh, but I can't respect someone who won't apologize when they make a mistake. Am I the asshole? My sister says I am because I'm not being supportive and our 13yo is "a lot." Update: My wife got up before our alarm and started cleaning our bathroom. I started the laundry and made breakfast. She didn't say a word when she sat down to eat. She ate much faster than normal. She stood up, picked up our four year old and told our nine year old to get ready because they were going to the library. She didn't say anything to our thirteen year old. I told her we need to talk, and she shook her head. I followed her upstairs and insisted that we need to talk. She just kept shaking her head. She went into our four year old's room and locked the door. I went downstairs and told our thirteen and nine year old that we are going to the dog park. They both asked if Mom was okay, and I said yes and that she needed space. I grabbed some clothes for our nine year old from the laundry room, and she got changed in the downstairs bathroom. We are at the dog park, and my wife is refusing to answer my texts. I'm starting to think this isn't about math.   Update: AITAH for telling my wife that I will lose respect for her if she doesn't apologize? - December 8, 2025 Link to my original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/AITAH/comments/1pg8ss5/aitah_for_telling_my_wife_that_i_will_lose/ TLDR for those who don't want to click: My wife and I were having a crazy week last week. Thursday she was helping our daughter with her math homework while frustrated and overwhelmed. She gave our daughter the wrong answer to a question. Our son corrected her. She screamed at him to shut up. Afterwards I wanted her to apologize. She refused, and I said that would make me respect her less. She gave both me and our son the silent treatment in response. Update: Yesterday (Sunday) my wife wanted to take the two younger children to the library. I tried to talk to her, but she locked herself in our four year old's room. I took our older two children to the dog park. She took our four year old to the library. At the dog park I talked to our 13 year old. I explained to him that a lot was going on right now and his mother was overwhelmed. I said that sometimes when a person is overwhelmed the next thing that happens, good, bad, or neutral, is the thing that pushes them over, and the source of that thing, good, bad or neutral is what they lash out at. I said his mom was wrong to lash out at him, but it wasn't his fault and she didn't really mean it. I said she was embarrassed, and that was why she was avoiding him. He said that wasn't fair, and we kept going back and forth. I was trying to help him understand he didn't do anything wrong and shouldn't feel bad, but all he could focus on was that he was being treated unfairly. I told him that it was unfair, but that his mom isn't perfect, and everyone makes mistakes. I said sometimes he is unfair, but we forgive him because we love him. I said forgiving his mom, even though she is wrong, would be a nice way to show his love for her, but that he doesn't have to. Again, he just said that the situation was unfair. Which it is. It really is. After the dog park I took our 13yo to a friend's house and our 9yo a friend of mine's house. I went home and made dinner. However, my wife went out for dinner with our 4yo, so she didn't get home until after I had put everything away. I told her that we had to talk now that the older kids aren't here, and that not talking wasn't an option anymore. She still ignored me, so I said that if she wouldn't engage with me, I would have to call our sisters and get them to come over to help me. She got very angry, but she finally engaged. She told me that she is drowning. She said work is exhausting, and every day when she gets home her patience is already below zero. She is scared and upset by our 4yo's stomach issues. She said he threw up again at dinner (she really shouldn't have taken him out to eat, because we are supposed to keep track of everything he eats before throwing up or not throwing up before the appointment today, which is impossible to do at a restaurant, but I didn't mention that). She said she can't take our 13yo's behavior anymore. I said he didn't do anything wrong Thursday. She said that when we were that age if we interrupted our parents to tell them they were wrong we would have been punished severely. She said we raised a spoiled entitled child. She said she can never get any peace and quiet in our own home that we worked hard to pay for because we have a spoiled teen that refuses to ever stop talking or making noise. I said we have been working on those behaviors and he has been improving, but she lashed out when he was trying to be helpful and that sends the wrong message. She told me that I am not supporting her. She said she needs things to change. She said we need to crack down and stop being so lenient. If he plays the recorder after we've told him he's done for the night, we need to take it. If he interrupts, he needs to go straight to his room. If he argues about curfew, he needs to lose privileges. I told her we need to take a step back. I said if she is overwhelmed she needs to take a break. I told her this heightened emotional state is a bad time to make huge household changes. I suggested like many commenters did that she get a hotel for a few days and decompress. She said she's not the problem (I didn't say she was) and he is. She said he was bad from the beginning. She said when our daughter didn't have all his issues she thought it was because she is a girl, but our 4yo is a boy and is also better behaved, so he is the problem. She also said I've always seen it and used to admit it but stopped to make her look crazy. For context I used to joke that our 13yo is a changeling because he likes to be outside so much, loves animals and loves playing on his recorder. I want to stress that this was a joke. The reason I stopped making this joke is because I noticed my wife didn't find it funny anymore. This was years ago anyway. I said all that, and she said no, that I saw even then that he is wrong but stopped acknowledging it to make her feel like the problem. She also said she has been seeing an online therapist (I had no idea). She said she didn't tell me because she was embarrassed. Her therapist told her that our son has dangerous tendencies and shows signs of being contemptuous towards women because he doesn't respect his mother. I had no idea how to respond to that. I said any therapist who would say something like that about a child they've never met shouldn't be licensed, and if it's an online therapist for all she knows they aren't. At the end of our conversation she agreed to go to the hotel only if she took our 4yo with her because she wanted to be the one to take him to his medical appointment. I didn't think that was a good idea at all. However she ended up just taking him and going. I picked up the kids and brought them home. They sense that something is wrong and were very subdued this morning getting ready for school. I talked to my boss when I came in and he is going to let me leave early to go to our 4yo's medical appointment. I am not sure what will happen there. I am hoping it will be good news and that will make us all feel less on edge.   Should I have my child reevaluated? - December 9, 2025 When my 13 year old was in the first grade his teacher suggested we have him evaluated for autism, which was done through the school. The psychologist who evaluated him said that he did not have autism or any other neurological condition. She said that while he did have some traits associated with autism, he didn't meet the diagnostic criteria, and that none of the traits he exhibited interfered with his ability to function as necessary in his day to day life. Recently I made a post that mentioned my son and droves of commenters demanded he be reevaluated. They cited as evidence something called "justice sensitivity", his love for music, animals and the outdoors, his habit of interrupting and his habit of constantly talking. I mentioned that he had been evaluated and the psychologist had said he isn't autistic, but I was told sometimes teens are easier to diagnose. I don't think he is autistic, mainly because a specialist said he isn't, but I also have other reasons. He understands sarcasm perfectly well and has no trouble identifying emotions from facial expressions and tone. He has a lot of friends and is good at interacting with people, even strangers. He is not sensitive to stressful stimuli like loud noises or unpleasant textures. He is not obsessed with routine. The commenters are convinced my son is autistic, so I thought I would come to a subreddit more specific to that issue for a different take. The thing is, I don't want to have my son reevaluated. I think he would interpret that as me saying there is something wrong with him, which there isn't. He's a very normal teenage boy. If he was autistic I would want him diagnosed, but I really don't think he is. I appreciate any insight anyone is willing to share. Editor’s/compiler’s note:A similar post was made to r/medical_advice, I will be omitting this due to it basically being a less-detailed version of this one.   My wife lied to me, and I don't know who she is anymore. - December 11, 2025 I should probably stop posting online. It's, in all likelihood, an unhealthy coping mechanism. The thing is, this has become the only place I can speak freely. In my real life I have to be so careful with every word I say. I just need to say one more thing, to get this off my chest and then be done. It wasn't always like this. Most of this story is a romance. I met my wife in college. I liked her immediately. She was beautiful, of course. She was funny and smart, naturally. The thing that made me attracted to her, that made we want her, was that she was sharp. I have always loved sharpness in women. I was sharp myself back then. We sharpened each other. We were the couple that sat in the back of every room, with our noses turned up, judging everyone, whispering comments just loud enough to be heard and just cutting enough to hurt. We thought we were so smart and sophisticated. Our tastes were the most refined, and we didn't think anything was uglier than a rounded edge. When I first asked her out she told me we wouldn't work because her father wouldn't approve. I didn't care about her father. I cared about her. The more time we spent together the more I loved her. Her father's first words to me, even before hello, were that I wasn't good enough for his daughter. He refused to come to our wedding, but the day after he gave my wife 20k for a down payment because no daughter of his was going to be a renter. I never liked him, but I was amused by him. I thought of him as my wife and I's private joke. He was so ineffectual against our love. When he saw our first baby he said "he looks like his father" and I was such a puffed up peacock, high on my own virility. I was too proud of my strong seed, my overpowering genes, to see that for what it was, a condemnation. When I held my firstborn for the first time, the world felt different. I felt different. I felt silly and immature. I began to understand the utility of the rounded edge. I saw how unimportant my high-minded philosophy was. Babies don't care how clever you are. They eat, cry and poop, and they are the most important thing you'll ever do. I softened up. I began to understand my parents. I always adored my mother, while also look down on her. Her politics were boring, her philosophy uninspired, her religion sentimental. When I held my baby I understood my mother like I never had before. She was soft, not sharp, and that was what my child needed from me, a soft place to land, not a razor's edge. We managed to adjust to every change in our lives. We always found our equilibrium. About a year ago that slipped away. Our toddler was struggling with potty training, and he had the occasional bad bout of diarrhea. Our daughter began to dip below average at school. Our oldest became the worst thing a person can be, annoying. We, who had once prided ourselves in our cleverness, were being outsmarted by a pedantic twelve year old. "You didn't say I could only spent $20. You said I couldn't buy anything over $20. Each of these twenty things are $5," type nonsense. It was the grandparent's revenge, right? Oh, that's the kind of little asshole I used to be. I see why some people hated me. But he's a good kid. He doesn't steal, hit, curse or lie. He argued, he talked too much and he complained, but isn't that all a symptom of cleverness? He was too much like us. However he was also nothing like us, this child we created, but isn't that good? Don't we want our children to be individuals? Yes, the arguing and interrupting had to be curbed, but we worked on it. He improved. He started to mature. Life was a struggle, but he wasn't the struggle. This parenting thing is hard. My wife cracked. It happens. We've all been there. Our son corrected a mistake she made, and she was embarrassed. She screamed at him to shut up. I asked her to apologize, because he didn't deserve that. She shut down. She told me that she was overwhelmed. I get it. I'm overwhelmed too. I think I've been overwhelmed for a long time and just refused to acknowledge it. I told her to take a break. She took a break. My wife, who I have always trusted, lied to me. She said she quit her job. That was a lie. She did not quit. She was suspended, and she will likely be fired on Friday or possibly next week. She has been telling me all year that her coworkers are incompetent and she is the only one doing her job correctly. In actuality, she has been in a performance improvement plan for months. Why was she suspended? She was telling a coworker that he needed to finish something by the end of the month to keep them on track for a February third deadline. He interrupted her to tell her the deadline was March second. She screamed at him to shut up and not interrupt her. She did the same thing to her coworker she did to our son. The only difference is our household doesn't have an HR department. She lied to me. Is that what I should be hung up on? Probably not. Here's what's killing me. Here's what I can't say in real life, to anyone, so I'll tell you. I always thought she was sharp, and I loved that. I thought I was so sophisticated for recognizing her elegance and worth. I felt special for loving her. But maybe she isn't sharp. Maybe she's just thin-skinned and irritable. Yeah, she lied to me, but maybe I lied to myself first.   Update: My wife finally apologized, but I already lost some of my respect for her.-December 16, 2025 I'm still getting notifications asking questions about certain things, so here's an update to clear everything up. Original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/AITAH/comments/1pg8ss5/aitah_for_telling_my_wife_that_i_will_lose/ Initial update: https://www.reddit.com/r/AITAH/comments/1phfg45/update_aitah_for_telling_my_wife_that_i_will_lose/?sort=top TL;DR: Our 13yo corrected my wife when she got a math problem wrong. My wife screamed at him to shut up. I asked her to apologize, and she didn't talk to either of us for three days. At that point I demanded she talk to me, and we had a fight where she blamed our 13yo for everything. She took our four year old and went to stay at a hotel last Sunday night. I retrieved our four year old at his doctor's appointment the next day. She stayed at the hotel alone Monday & Tuesday night. Wednesday she told me she quit her job. She did not quit her job. A concerned coworker of hers reached out and revealed the truth. She was suspended for yelling at a coworker to shut up. She picked the kids up from school + daycare Wednesday. After they were asleep I confronted her. We fought, and she went to stay with my sister. With my sister's influence, she called her boss and managed to work out a compromise where she won't be fired and can have some mental health leave. She didn't see the kids all weekend, even when my sister picked them up Sunday to take them to a party. She is back home now. So here's where the update starts. Update: I had our 13yo evaluated by a child psychologist like so many redditors suggested. If you learn anything from my experience, learn not to take medical advice from reddit. Our son is not autistic and does not have ADD. The psychologist said the only thing he comes close to meeting the diagnostic criteria for is anxiety, but based on their discussion and the paperwork I filled out, she's confident those symptoms come from external stressors, not an anxiety disorder. My wife came home after work, and when our son arrived home from his friend's house, she did apologize to him. He forgave her, and they hugged it out, but it was an awkward interaction. Afterwards he want outside to play with his new harmonica. My daughter doesn't have a learning disability. I talked to her teacher. Her math skills are average for her age group according to the teacher. The teacher suggested that if she is struggling to do the math work at home it is because she feels pressured. I ended up telling her that she can do the work in whatever timeframe she wants, and she can have her brother check it for her, so neither her mother nor I will know if she made a mistake. She seems happy with this new arrangement. I think my wife and I were too critical in our eagerness to encourage her to work hard and do well, and I accept culpability for that. Our four year old is allergic to soy. Since I stopped feeding him anything with soy in it he hasn't vomited once. He will soon be reintroduced to soy in very small doses to acclimate him. He is doing much better, and this has relieved a huge source of stress. As for my wife, as I said, she apologized to our son. She said talking to my sister helped a lot. She told me the reason she has been so overwhelmed and she lashed out was the realization that we aren't going to have another kid and the three we have are it. She said she is worried that our kids are spoiled and soft. She said she wants our kids to bypass their peers, and she doesn't see that happening right now because they are too undisciplined and unmotivated. She said sone of her dad's parenting might be what they need. I told her I would never be okay with that, and that would be a deal breaker for me. I also told her I don't see how anxiety about the kids caused her to lash out at work. I said that I think she is frustrated by the fact that she can't control people. She said that's unfair, and I apologized but also said I think that an issue similar to what I said is the likely culprit. We agreed to a compromise where she tries to relax until she leaves for her trip with my sister. If she feels she is getting stressed out, she will leave for as long as needed. We will talk about parenting strategies again after she gets back. I have hired a lawyer and didn't tell her. If she again tries to insist that we go full authoritarian on the kids I will raise the possibility of divorce. I love my wife, but I owe it to my kids to put them first.   Update: My wife isn't coming home. - December 30, 2025 https://www.reddit.com/r/AITAH/comments/1pg8ss5/aitah_for_telling_my_wife_that_i_will_lose/ Link to the original post above. I made other posts. They're on my profile. Someone compiled them all on a different subreddit. Listen, I just need to vent. My wife is on vacation with my sister after a mini mental breakdown. She just WhatsApped me that she isn't coming back. She said she needs to make some changes, and the New Year is the perfect time. She told me that a start-up working on a cause she is passionate about is looking for someone in her field. She's taking the job and moving to the opposite coast. Shock doesn't feel like the right word. It doesn't feel big enough. She wanted to stress that she isn't leaving me, that she just needs to pursue her passion. She said if this startup takes off we call all move to where she is going and resettle and get a fresh start. She also said that this new job is closer to the clinic our son's pediatrician recommended for his allergy treatment. I started to argue with her, but then I deleted the message. We're doing okay without her, as awful as that sounds. Maybe she needs this. I looked into this startup. I don't think it will take off. But maybe she just needs a break from us to recenter herself. So I told her I love her, that I believe in her and that I'm proud of her for following her dreams. What else could I say? My sister is pissed at her for abandoning us, and this has pretty much ruined their trip. I think I should feel bad about that, but I'm too burnt out. 2026. It's going to be a year.   Update: What happened while my wife was overseas. - January 4, 2025 https://www.reddit.com/r/AITAH/comments/1pg8ss5/aitah_for_telling_my_wife_that_i_will_lose/ That was the original post. We're well past that. I have an appointment with a lawyer tomorrow to file for divorce. In my last update I told people that my wife wasn't coming home, but I still think I can fix things if I give her space. I no longer believe that. Several of you (most of you not very nicely) told me she had abandoned our family. I didn't want to believe it, but you are right. I picked my sister up from the airport this morning, and we had a long conversation where she filled in details. When my wife, her sister, my sister and her wife got to the resort everything was fine at first. It didn't take long for my wife's sister to show her ass though. She called my sister a (slur that rhymes with bike) (other slur that rhymes with bike). She called my sister's wife a (stick with p instead of t) (that second bike slur). (Editor’s note:as there was some confusion in the last BORU,the first bike slur is an Antisemitic slur, as OOP’s family is Jewish, the second bike slur is a homophobic slur, and the stick slur is a racial slur against Hispanics) So that caused a huge fight. My wife cursed out her sister (rightfully!) and moved into the room my sister was sharing with her wife to get away from her sister. My wife told my sister more about the situation with the kids. She said she feels like she failed our oldest and he is completely beyond help. She said he is so disrespectful and obnoxious and she doesn't understand how she let it get to this point. Our son, by the way, made his little siblings breakfast and played monopoly with them while I was up crazy early picking my sister and her wife up from the airport. Evil child, clearly. My sister told my wife our oldest is just a teenager and that she is attaching significance to really insignificant things. My sister said teenagers are all annoying, but it isn't the end of the world. My wife said her dad wouldn't put up with that kind of behavior. My sister pointed out that her dad raised her sister, who goes around calling people slurs. My wife said that was her husband's influence, which, whatever. My wife also said she thinks our daughter is stupid. My sister was shocked to hear that. Our daughter's academic performance at school is average. Most kids are average. That's what average means. She isn't stupid. She's normal. My wife talked about a startup in California an old classmate of hers is going to work for. They do work she really believes in. She said she wanted to move to California to work for them and also so our youngest will be closer to a particular allergy clinic. My sister tried to tell her that is all crazy, but that didn't work, since my wife is currently on her way to California. Or maybe she already landed. I'm not sure. My sister is angry with my wife and doesn't ever want to talk to her again. They have always been close friends, so that really brought home to me how insane her behavior is. My sister thinks she is lying about having the job too. She thinks my wife is planning to apply in California and that no job offer has been made yet. I wouldn't believe that if not for her previous lie about her current job. To protect myself I opened a new bank account and switched my direct deposit. I also prepaid a lot of things that get paid from the joint account so she can't drain it and leave us in a bad spot. I opened a new account specifically for the mortgage, transferred six payments into it and put that on autopay. I won't use it for anything else. I bought a bunch of gift cards from the grocery store we use as well, so if she does drain the account we'll be able to buy food. I prepaid the daycare and school fees and activity fees for the kids as far as possible. I paid off and closed our joint cards. She still has her personal cards, and I still have mine. This is going to be messy as hell, and I am not looking forward to it. The worst thing is that the kids are sad their mom isn't coming home. Of course I didn't tell them what she said about them. Our oldest thinks she went to California to hang out with other cool people because we aren't cool enough for her. I told him that isn't true, but he doesn't believe me. I'm just devastated by all this. The person I'm supposed to be able to rely on abandoned me.   ***New update*** Update:I have full custody of the children-Jan 25,2026 https://www.reddit.com/r/AITAH/comments/1pg8ss5/aitah_for_telling_my_wife_that_i_will_lose/ My wife and I are not getting divorced at this time, but I do have full custody of the children. My wife flew back for court. She fought only for our younger two children. The judge asked her why she didn't want our oldest. She said he had behavioral problems. The judge didn't believe her because she had no proof. I was given full physical custody of the children. Legal custody is shared. She returned to California after the hearing. She cannot come back and take the kids. This is a huge relief. Whatever she does or doesn't do in California I'm not really concerned with at this point. Even though we haven't started the divorce process, we have both decided to open up our relationship, since she has no idea if or when she will come back and I told her I'm not willing to move to California. She assured me her birth control is intact, so if she finds a partner she can't get pregnant. I believe her. I've started reaching out to friends for suggestions of women my age or older that might be interested. I'm focused on the kids, but if something happens, that would be great. I really miss my wife, even after everything. We tried to make plans to get together before court, but I wasn't comfortable having her at the house, and I couldn't leave the kids alone to visit her. She suggested I have our oldest babysit, but that seemed like too much pressure on him with everything going on. That's when we made the decision to open the relationship. Part of me hopes that after seeing what else is out there it will make her want to come home, but realistically I know this is the beginning of the end. *Reminder - I am not the original poster. New update: AITAH for telling my wife that I will lose respect for her if she doesn't apologize?
DO NOT COMMENT ON LINKED POSTS. I am NOT OP. Original post by u/TechnicalHousing97 in r/AITAH, r/neurodiversity, r/offmychest, and r/Redditor_Updates Previous BORU New updates marked with -- trigger warnings: verbal abuse, intellectual elitism, possible ableism, homophobia, antisemitism, racism mood spoilers: sad and frustrating   AITAH for telling my wife that I will lose respect for her if she doesn't apologize? --New updates-- Update: My wife isn't coming home. We're well past that. I have an appointment with a lawyer tomorrow to file for divorce. In my last update I told people that my wife wasn't coming home, but I still think I can fix things if I give her space. I no longer believe that. Several of you (most of you not very nicely) told me she had abandoned our family. I didn't want to believe it, but you are right. Reminder - I am not the original poster.

--New updates-- Update: My wife isn't coming home. So that caused a huge fight. Reminder - I am not the original poster. AITAH for telling my wife that I will lose respect for her if she doesn't apologize?
I am NOT OP. Original post by u/TechnicalHousing97 AITAH for telling my wife that I will lose respect for her if she doesn't apologize? Originally posted in r/AITAH TRIGGER WARNING: Psychological child abuse Original Post: December 7th, 2025 My wife and I have three kids. Result: r/AITAH doesn't have a consensus bot, but most redditors agree that OOP is NTA and that his wife needs to apologize to her son for snapping at him. Relevant comments: Redditor 1: She hasn’t spoken to her son in three days and she was in the wrong? Ouch Redditor 2: How can she ever expect your son to learn how to apologize for making a mistake and hurting someone if she doesn't lead by example? Redditor 3 in response to Redditor 2: Maybe OP's wife is one of those people that literally never apologizes. It's always justification, and the blame game, and then "oh it doesn't matter". That's the vibe I'm getting. Redditor 3: NTA- and the silent treatment- especially to a child- can be a form of abuse. At a minimum she needs some help to sort out her feelings because she’s taking them out on her family. Redditor 4: Your wife made it a bigger deal than it needed to be. A quick, “hey buddy, sorry for snapping at you; I was frustrated and distracted, but thanks for helping with your sister.” would have gone a long way to smoothing over the situation. When our kids were younger my wife refused to ever apologize to them. She saw apologizing as a way of losing “authority”. Me, I always apologized when I lost my temper, raised, my voice, etc. It lead to a really strong relationship with my kids. My wife, seeing this evolution, recently started apologizing when she screws up with them, and it’s made a world of difference in their relationships. It doesn’t matter if your 13 year is “a lot”, he’s a person who deserves respect. Something his mom should show him. Also, you should point out to your sister you’re supporting the person who was treated incorrectly: your son. Update: December 8, 2025 Link to my original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/AITAH/comments/1pg8ss5/aitah_for_telling_my_wife_that_i_will_lose/ TLDR for those who don't want to click: My wife and I were having a crazy week last week. Relevant comments: Redditor 1: You've correctly flagged that the online therapist is a quack. My recommendation is to ask if you can join a session to evaluate them yourself, and also get their info so you can look them up. If the therapist brings up negative points about your kid, deconstruct those in front of your wife. Your wife needs real help. She's displaying extreme anger towards your son that is clearly deep rooted. She does need a break, so try and organize that for her and your son. Maybe have all the kids out of the house for a while once the four year old's gastro passes. And then reassess. Every parent goes through periods of depression, but the extreme nature is not healthy and can't continue. Your wife clearly doesn't have the coping skills to deal with this, and needs better tools. Good luck. Redditor 2 in response to Redditor 1 I'm kind of wondering if this online therapist is actually an AI program. That would explain why they would agree that her son is so "bad" even though he's just a kid doing normal kid stuff. Redditor 3 NTA. If your wife is locking herself in your child's room, screaming at the kids to shut up, is this malicious towards your teenage child, and refusing to talk, this is a much bigger issue. At a minimum counseling will be necessary. There may be some other mental health issues at play too. OP, be prepared to defend your teenage child when things REALLY hit the fan with the wife. That day is coming soon. Redditor 4 Your wife should not be left alone with your children right now. Your wife should not be left alone right now. Can you get any family to help you? Maybe there's someone who can help you get through to your wife? OOP's response to Redditor 4 That's a double-edged sword. The thing my wife is most sensitive to is public embarrassment. Once I cross the line of involving other people, she might not be able to forgive me. I spoke to my sister initially, and my sister actually sided with my wife. My wife doesn't know I spoke with her. If I call my sister to come over and my wife finds out and my sister still sides with her I'll have two people angry with me. As for her sister, that's a while other complicated situation... My sister's wife loves the kids, but involving her has the same pitfalls as involving my sister with the addition of my sister being angry at me for contacting her wife directly instead of her. OOP's response to a deleted comment: So here's my mindset: Our son is a normal teenager. There are no perfect 11/10 13 year olds out there. Sometimes he is really annoying. However, like all good parents, we have been working on reinforcing boundaries and setting expectations and it has been yielding results. The interrupting and arguing have gone down. Have they disappeared? No. But they have improved. However, if we yell at him when he isn't misbehaving, all of our efforts to set boundaries will go out the window, because he'll have seen he gets yelled at even when being good, so why not be bad? Let's say though, for the sake of argument, that I'm lying (I'm not, but let's say that). Let's say he's a terror. Yelling at him when he's trying to be helpful won't make that better. It will make it worse. Those are the behaviors we should be encouraging. I'm not a hypocrite. I have raised my voice with him in the past. We were driving, I was trying to focus on finding an exit and he kept wanting to talk about the domestication of horses. I really needed to find this exit. I told him to wait. He stopped for a second and then started again. So I yelled at him to be quiet until I found the exit. Once I found the exit I apologized for yelling. I'm just asking my wife to meet that same standard we've always had in place. We should be examples to our children. If we make mistakes we should apologize, even when they are being annoying. Otherwise, they will treat other people (including us) with the same disregard we treat them. Relevant post in another subreddit: Originally posted to r/medical_advice and r/neurodiversity Should I have my child reevaluated?: December 9th, 2025 When my 13 year old was in the first grade his teacher suggested we have him evaluated for autism, which was done through the school. Result: Most redditors were quick to luck up OOP's post history and recommended that his wife is the one who should be evaluated and that even if his son is on the spectrum, there is nothing "wrong" with him and that he just learns differently and has different needs Update in a different subreddit: Originally posted in r/ relationships, deleted by a mod and recovered via rareddit. How do I(38) convince my wife(39) not to quit her job?: December 10, 2025 I don't know if our relationship will make it if she goes through with this. Sunday night my wife went to stay at a hotel with our four year old to get a break after she lashed out at our 13 year old. She said work was draining all her patience and she was stressed about the kids. On Monday I retrieved our four year old from the doctor's and she stayed at the hotel alone Monday and Tuesday night. My wife just called me and said she was coming home today. She said she would pick the kids up from school and we could cancel their after school care and daycare because she quit her job. I begged her not to quit her job. She said after taking some time to decompress she realized her job was causing her too much stress and making her lash out at the kids. She said we will save money by not paying for childcare, and if we tighten the belt we can weather the loss of her income. I never signed up to be a sole provider. We always agreed we would be a dual income household. I don't want her taking care of the kids on her own after the way she lashed out at our teenager. We have three kids, and she has made questionable decisions regarding each this past week. I begged her to talk to her boss and work something out and not quit. She said it's her decision. I can't handle this. If I have to be the sole income provider while also being afraid that she's fighting with the kids while I'm at work, I will break. How do I convince her not to do this? TL;DR: My wife is struggling and quit her job. I need her to not quit her job. How do I work something out that will convince her to stay? Relevant Comments: OOP goes into detail about his wife's situation at work: Co-workers, clients and boss. Co-workers are being lazy and doing their jobs incorrectly while giving bad information to clients. Clients are relying on my wife even though she is not supposed to be communicating to clients. That is specifically someone else's job. That person has annoyed the clients to the extent they keep requesting to be transferred to my wife, which the person agrees to do, which interrupts my wife's work. When she complains to her boss he says they are all a team and asks her to be a team player. OOP also considers to contact his wife's boss: I'm thinking about calling her boss to explain my wife has been going through a rough mental health patch and asking him to work with us. Do you think that would help at all or just make things worse? Her position is fairly critical. He might be willing to go out on a limb to keep her. The consensus in the comments is that this would only make the situation worse. Another update in a different sub: Originally posted to r/offmychest My wife lied to me, and I don't know who she is anymore: December 11, 2025 I should probably stop posting online. Relevant comments OOP on how he found out the truth: I was shocked when I found out the truth. One of her coworkers is dating an acquaintance of mine and got my number that way just to call me because she was so worried. Everything my wife told me about work was a misrepresentation. My wife told me she was frequently being forced to talk to clients even though that isn't her job. It turns out everyone is supposed to talk to clients that have questions about their part of the project. The person my wife claimed was supposed to talk to clients is just the one that answers calls and directs them to the appropriate person. Sometimes that appropriate person is my wife. My wife was frequently lecturing the person who answered the phone and telling them to find the information in the project documents and talk to the clients instead of bothering my wife. That's why she was on a performance improve plan. A small update from OOP in the comments regarding how his wife is doing: She's actually at my sister's. When I found out she lied to me we had a huge fight. She left to go to my sister's while the kids were sleeping. I had a few too many beers and wrote the above crazy post. So yeah, the kids are with me and she's with my sister. My sister's wife texted me to give my wife space because she's not in a good place, which I find to be a huge understatement. And another small update from OOP regarding the therapist: It turns out my wife's therapist is a real therapist. I found out which therapist she is seeing. The therapist is online and based in a different city, but she is licensed in our state. She has mixed reviews. Some of her patients thinks she is great. Some think she is horrible. I found one review that said "she's crazier than me." But she is real. Redditor 1's response to OOP Then please report this therapist to the board immediately! Not only is what she said about your son extremely inappropriate and unethical but she's also acting against her license with that behavior. There are better providers, your wife has just found a horrible and dangerous one. OOP's response to Redditor 1 As many people pointed out, I don't have proof of anything she actually said, only what my wife said she said. OOP also talks about his wife's racial background and relationship with her family: I'm not mixed race. My wife is mixed race. And our kids are mixed race. Me, I'm the boring one. But my wife's dad was mad she didn't marry a person of his race, something he also didn't do, but that's okay because he's a man and can marry a woman who isn't his race, but if his daughters do it, that's bad. So since my wife's sister married a guy of their dad's race, she feels like she's better than my wife, even though their dad also hates her husband because he's super religious, and my wife's dad hates that. I see the iceberg. I'm just trying not to steer into a different, even bigger iceberg. OOP as response to another comment: My wife's sister doesn't like our kids because she's mad my wife married me and had mixed kids. She is insane for thinking this because she and my wife are also mixed but that's a different situation. OOP about what he did with his sun after this all went down: I did, after dinner when the younger kids were in bed. We went on a nighttime walk together (the thing we always tell him no, he can't do) and talked. I told him I shouldn't make excuses for his mom being mean to him. He asked when his mom was going to go back to normal. I told him I honestly don't know. I said she's struggling right now, but that it isn't his fault. He asked what she was struggling with, and I said stress. He said his mom was too cool to get stressed. I said anyone can get stressed, even cool people. He said he thought his mom just didn't like him anymore, because he's not cool like she is. I said he is cool and that I love him. I don't know if that helped at all, but I tried. Most recent update on r/Redditor_Updates due to r/AITAH's update limitation: Update: My wife finally apologized, but I already lost some of my respect for her.: December 16, 2025 I'm still getting notifications asking questions about certain things, so here's an update to clear everything up. TL;DR: Our 13yo corrected my wife when she got a math problem wrong. A: The day I should’ve died. Another apprentice and I were told to work on a switchgear live, something that even master electricians should not do, when his screwdriver created a path. BANG! The 500 gauge wire exploded with a flash, but shell shock insured I didn’t hear a thing. We were both knocked back and scurried to the opposite wall of the tight, rectangular electrical closet. BA-BANG!! Two more explosions and we quickly realized the breakers were not going to trip and cut power to these wires. We dashed into the even tinier electrical room offset from this one to gather our bearings. Mere seconds later, smoke began to billow in near the ceiling as flaming cardboard embers wafted in. The wires continued to discharge just outside. We had to go. We glanced at each other and knew words were unnecessary. We dashed past the switchgear to make it to the basement hallway and he got clipped by an explosion on his way through. He fell with a Ute and I jumped over him, hoping he would get up and get out. I dashed down the hall to a distance I felt safe, and looked back. He wasn’t behind me! I had no choice, I went back to the closet, yelled his name 2-3-4 times! No answer! The flames started pushing me back and I had to retreat upstairs to where the rest of the construction workers were. I yelled for everyone to leave the building NOW and reprimanded my foreman for putting two APPRENTICES in a situation like that. My partner showed up, I hugged him, and we got out of there. The owner of the electrical contractor called me later that day threatening me with counter-suits if I attempted legal action against him. I called him cold and heartless because the first thing he had to say to his employee that almost just died was a threat. I then said I didn’t plan on suing and he laid me off. He was cold and calculating. He had me replaced by the next day. This is a microcosm of the power corporations have over individuals and over our legislation. It feels to most of us that we don’t have any power over what happens in Congress. It’s time to change that. Q: You’re an engineer, a union member, a husband—why risk it all to run for office now? A: We are out of time. Our country is $35 Trillion in debt and Trump’s stacked Congress is cutting Medicaid and still running a deficit to give his billionaire friends even greater tax breaks, making his expiring obscene 2017 tax breaks permanent. The risk is not in running to save our country. The risk is in doing nothing. Q: Your platform leads with bold policies: taxing billionaires, empowering teachers and farmers, ending the Pink Tax. Why these issues specifically? A: Women are treated as second class citizens in our country, the greatest country in the world. No more. Teachers and farmers are the most important, most under-appreciated people in our country. Teachers raise our children and farmers feed the world. It’s time they get the respect they deserve. Billionaires have been eroding our middle class for half a century. Thanks to them, we spend a trillion dollars every year servicing our debt, let alone ever paying it off. It’s time they chipped in. Q: You’ve never held elected office. What do you bring to the Senate that seasoned politicians don’t? A: I was raised in a house that struggled to keep the heat on in the winter. My mom ALWAYS went without so that we could have. I worked HARD to get my degree in physics and to earn my spot in the IBEW. 98% of senators have never been working class. You ask what I bring to the Senate? Grit. Some would say running without money or connections is a long shot. I say running on a platform that steals from your constituents is the real long shot. Running on a platform of “not rocking the boat” or “waiting your turn” are far more dangerous to your political career and to the people you represent. PSA: electric razors are an option for women’s body hair!!
I have no idea why this never occurred to me as an option. My dad has always used an electric shaver for his face, but in mind it’s always been a man face thing. Never connected it to my hair removal. Meanwhile I have tried every style of manual razor (caused razor burn and ingrowns); waxing (time consuming, painful, caused weird burns and ingrowns); nair (messy, caused an allergic reaction and ingrowns); intense exfoliating (helped ingrowns a little, made razor burn way worse); gentle exfoliating (so many ingrowns) and have spent YEARS dealing with legs that look worse than if I just left them hairy*: tons of red spots, ingrowns, wounds from ingrowns I’ve removed, nicks from shaving, hairy knees because I just gave up on them, and that strawberry skin thing where you can just see where every hair follicle is. I’ve been trying to remove my leg hair for ten years and never figured out something that gives me a result I’m happy with. *saying this from the perspective of someone who wants the classic smooth, hairless leg look. There’s nothing wrong with having hairy legs if that’s what you want. I just tried an electric shaver for the first time—literally a 35 year old one from my mom—and I feel like a whole new world has opened to me! It cuts the hair a little bit of distance off the skin. Not high enough that it’s visible (at least for me as a person with very pale skin and dark brown but not coarse leg hair), though enough that you loose the totally smooth skin feeling. But that means the hair isn’t short enough to get stuck under the skin!! NO INGROWNS!!! The blade is far enough from your skin it can’t irritate it!! NO RAZOR BURN!!! And as if that wasn’t enough; you can shave anytime. You don’t need water! I shaved my armpits this morning in my room on a whim because the hair was long and I decided I wanted them shaved with the tanktop I was wearing. Shaving added about 45 seconds total to my morning. With a manual razor that would have been at least 10 minutes to get undressed; get my armpits wet with the sink, get shaving cream on them, shave, rinse, dry, and get dressed again. I’m sharing all this because of all the hair removal options I’ve heard as a girl, an electric shaver has never come up. I’ve heard disposable razors, reusable ones, laser removal and epilators; waxing and nair; but I never heard of anyone using an electric shaver. Maybe it’s just a weird coincidence for me and everyone else knew this was an option, but i’m making this post in case there’s anyone else in my shoes!! ETA: Since this post originally gained attention a few months ago, I’ve had 5 to 10 comments trickle in since all of which happened to link a specific razor product. It appears people are using this post to advertise their electric razors. What do you think happened to Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon?
This case is well-known but here is a recap: On 1st April 2014, Dutch tourists Kris Kremers (22) and Lisanne Froon (23) went on a hike at a trail called El Pianista in Panama. When they hadn’t returned by nightfall, their host family reported them missing and an investigation was launched by Dutch and Panama authorities. Months later, their belongings and some of their remains were found. Investigation of the phones showed that the women (or at least one of them) had probably been alive for at least 10 days and repeatedly attempted to make emergency calls that didn’t go through. The first emergency call was made just hours after they set off on the hike, while it was still daylight. Kris’ PIN was not entered correctly after 5th April despite her phone repeatedly being turned on, meaning that she was most likely no longer alive. Their digital camera showed a number of pictures of them on 1st April hiking and being happy before the pictures suddenly stopped. On 8th April, the camera was used again at nighttime, capturing the back of Kris‘ head, some candywrappers on a rock, and the surroundings (they appear to be near a cliff but it’s hard to make out). There has been lots of speculation whether the women had an accident, met with foulplay, or simply got lost. Evidence for foul play: A picture from the camera had been deleted, some of the women‘s bones appeared to have been bleached, the Panama authorities were very reluctant in releasing evidence, reports of other murders in the area Evidence for accident/ getting lost: The two women clearly underestimated the jungle and were evidently unprepared for the long hike, other tourists who hiked the same trail have reported almost getting lost despite following the trail, no suspect has ever been identified, Panama authorities and the girls‘ families (who would have more information than we do) have stated that the most likely scenario is that they suffered a fall and were unable to make their way back. Kris‘ parents were at first reluctant to accept this explanation but later came to the same conclusion. My opinion: I also believe that there is a lack of evidence for foul play. Europeans like myself tend to underestimate nature, especially in unfamiliar regions like the jungle in Central/ South America. Going by Occam‘s razor, I think the most likely scenario is that they (intentionally or not) left the trail or went too far and either got lost or injured (some of their body parts were fractured, indicating a fall). Kris died on 5 April and Lisanne stayed with her as long as she could before trying to make her way back before succumbing to the elements and her injuries on 10 April. Animals dragged them away, the sun bleached the bones, and the picture got lost through sloppy police work. However, there are a lot of people on the internet disagreeing with me. 8 women's razor heads for $47
I literally just walked past this today on my way to work and I was actually shocked. When I started working at the shopping centre a year ago, I bought one of these packs for $18 each which were the original price of them. Now they have gone up to 47. Don't worry man. You've also been affected as well, the men's Gillette razors in 10packs are also now $69 submitted by /u/DiabelJoe to r/woolworths [link] [comments]

So…how do you *actually* become more fuckable?
Got inspired to make this post when I saw a comment from a woman on a certain sub that said that most guys aren’t “fuckable.” I don’t want any platitudes - no “love yourself before anyone else can”, no “confidence is key”, no “personality is what really matters”, nothing like that. They might be true, definitely are important, sure, but I also want concrete, physical things I can do to make myself - an average to ugly guy - considered fuckable to women. Stuff where I can actually see improvement, I can actually see results from my actions. I never learned how to style my hair or pick a good hairstyle. I never learned skincare. I never learned how to properly groom myself beyond shaving with a straight razor and shaving my unibrow with one. Overall, I never learned how to make myself attractive, while it seems like everyone else just figured it out at some point. So, fellas, how can I make myself look “fuckable?” For what it’s worth, I’m not overweight, I’m skinny, I’m pale as snow, my teeth are a mess (but not dirty), a crooked nose, a weird smile, and I have a weird hairline. Edit: this blew up far more than I wanted. Appreciate the specific, actionable advice. Lot of stuff I want to try out. I do want to clear some things up, though. Yes, I do know confidence it’s important, personality it’s important, all that. That’s just not what I want to work on right now. One of my biggest insecurities is my appearance, so if I fix that, I’ll naturally be more confident because I know I look better. It’s part of the process, and again, what I want to work on at the moment. submitted by /u/Technical-Minute2140 to r/AskMenAdvice [link] [comments]

Best women’s electric razor
My Panasonic electric razor finally bit the dust and I am looking for a bit of an upgrade. Does anyone have any suggestions for a great razor that provides a really close shave for pits, legs and bikini? I’m thinking about buying the Braun Epilator Silk-épil 9, but I would love to get some real recommendations from people who have recently gotten great results with any of the razors on the market. submitted by /u/Puzzleheaded_Speed82 to r/shaving [link] [comments]

I just watched ads for Venus, women's razors, and Gillette, men's razors back to back and they were drastically different.
I was sitting through the obligatory "Ha, you're too broke to view content without ads" nonsense and a Venus ad came on. Now, I mute ads so I have no dialog for either commercial. The Venus ad featured many, many, slow, close up shots of women, dripping wet with water, wearing bikinis shaving. The primary focus of the commercial were the bikinis and shaving around them. There's nothing inappropriate about the commercial other than it had me questioning why I was watching a woman shave her zoomed in crotch in 4K in my living room. As the ad ended, I was thinking to myself that I wished I had a men's commercial to compare it to. Gillette, owner of Venus, gifted me the men's version of the commercial next. It was half as long. It featured a bearded man, who didn't take his shirt off to shave???, swipe twice on the underside of his neck with a razor. Then to a camera shot of the razor and some shave gel. I dont know if I'm reading into it or not. From the perspective of a bi guy, the women's commercial seems sexualized while the men's does not. Otherwise I think I would be seeing how well the men's razor works on a man's chest, inner thigh and lower abdomen while he glistens in the shower. submitted by /u/Naive-Button3320 to r/TwoXChromosomes [link] [comments]

AITA for taking my niece (15f) to get waxed behind her moms back?
I come from a family of VERY hairy, and very fair skinned women. The hair is thick, and very dark. Hair removal has always been a common topic of discussion amongst us all throughout our lives, many of my aunts, siblings and cousin have spent tons on laser hair removal over the years. And when i say hairy,i mean facial hair, back hair, stomach hair, that would be more common on your average man. My youngest sister is your crunchy granola, all natural type. Doesn't shave, thinks its a double standard and hypocritical, all bodies are beautiful, all that stuff and i support her in that. Be happy in your own skin. Well i am not one who particularly cares much about it either and only shave on special occasions, i am also am very well aware how cruel kids can be, as i definitely experienced a ton of bullying throughout my life for it and it took me well into adulthood to get comfortable with it. My sisters daughter has the hairy gene, and i suspect possibly some kind of hormonal issue. At 14 she has extensive facial hair, including from her chin to her neck, that insome spots is thicker than your average arm hair. My sister allows her to shave only from the knee down, and she will also shave her face, but she tents to get razor burn and a 5 oclock shadow. My sister refuses to allow her to "waste money on satisfying society's unfair beauty standards." Anyways, my niece asked me to take her. She says she is bullied constantly at school, and she is super self conscious, she was crying as she told me about it. She even once got chemical burns on her face after sneaking nair out of her friends moms bathroom in the middle of the night and trying to use it. I asked my sister if I could take her and she said no, and went on about how i shouldn't be forcing my beauty srandards on her daughter. I actually dont personally care what he daughter does about it, but she was obviously really struggling with it, so when she asked again because she had her first highschool dance coming up, and she wanted to look "normal"(her words), i took her to get waxed without telling my sister. She obviously lost her stuff on me, saying i over stepped and had no right to over rule her as a parent. I told her letting her daughter be miserable so she could prove a point to society made her a bad mom. AITA submitted by /u/Equivalent_Hour_9905 to r/AITAH [link] [comments]

Friends ditched me because I don’t shave, so I got the ringleader to pay for a wax session and then sent in my mom
Someone suggested I post this story to this sub after I posted it in another one seeking judgement for what I did. Here’s what happened: So I [24/F] stopped shaving about a year ago. I had never liked it, and I finally started dating someone who also doesn’t shave and helped me feel more comfortable with my body. It’s been awesome. However, not everyone I know sees it like that. My parents have stopped pestering me about it, but my friends still make offhand comments. I’ve been taking them as lighthearted jokes, but this past weekend cemented that they were definitely more malicious. One of my friends, Ally [25/F] had her bachelorette party this past weekend. She and some of our friends [22/F, 23/F, 24/F, 24/F, 25/F] got together for the weekend and went to a beach along the Florida coastline. To make a long story short, one of them noticed when I was changing that I hadn’t shaved and offered me a few razors (one for each region obviously) and some shaving cream and told me we had plenty of time before we hit the beach. I told her no thanks, that I was ready whenever they were. Ally came to find me half an hour later and told me I really should shave before we head out. Again, I said no thanks, and that I was comfortable going without shaving. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and apply some preemptive sunscreen to my face, and while I was in there they left me and went to the beach. When they came back, they pretended they thought I didn’t want to go and that they didn’t mean to leave me out (even though I’d literally told them all I would be ready to head out after I used the bathroom). To say I felt like shit is an understatement. It stuck with me the entire weekend. Ally and I were alone in the car after dropping the others off and she once again brought up my body hair. At that point, I was so angry that I told her fine, if she’d make me an appointment with her waxer, I’d get a Brazilian. She was excited and agreed and told me I would love it. She texted me the info later. Once I had it, I called up my mom, who gets waxed when she has the time and money for it as she prefers it to shaving, and gave her the info and told her to go get a free wax. I didn’t tell her Ally paid for it for me, just that I thought she deserved a free trip, so happy not-birthday or whatever. Ally texted me right after the appointment was meant to be over and asked how I went. I told her I sent my mom and she was very pleased with the experience. She lost her shit. Serves her right imo. Also, my mom knows the truth behind what happened. She’s in my corner about it. She’s also just happy get a free, and very nice, wax sesh. Edit: Lots of guys giving me their opinions, and I get where your heart is and all, but I’m a lesbian. It’s nice that “most men” you know don’t care about women having body hair, but that’s not really my area of concern lol Edit 2: YES, I stopped shaving EVERYWHERE. YES, that DOES mean I don’t shave my pubic hair. The only hair on my body that’s been shaved in the last 12 months is the hair on my head. TIL Pachucas were Mexican American women who wore zoot suits during the 1930s-40s, a sign of rebellion due to fabric rationing for the war effort. Their look included thinly-plucked eyebrows, dark lipstick and wearing their hair styled into a pompadour, in which they kept razor blades.

MOMMMM!!! I’ve been in a womens shelter for three months and I had to leave so much behind to not set off any alarms. I’ve finally been able to afford a laundry hamper and full body mirror 💙 I’ve never been so grateful so razor refills and a clock. A water bottle! Kitchen towels! They’re so pretty!
I’m literally dancing around my room opening this haul I’ve finally been able to afford after struggling for so long. It feels so bitter sweet. I have no one to celebrate this with who will understand why this is such a big amazing moment for me 💚💚💚💚 I’m so happy right now to have the basics I’ve been saving for months. Truthfully there’s no one I can celebrate all these milestones with. I’ve come so since I escaped and I wish I could tell the whole world or have someone say omg I see you! You’re doing it! This is a big deal! Thank you for being that safe space for me moms 💚 Edit: I forgot the other stuff I got! I’m literally happy crying from gratitude! I got a steel 30oz tumblr for the summer. It’s so cute and classy. No more rationing plastic water bottles. I can’t stop staring at it. I’m dancing in front of my mirror with my tumblr like the happiest I’ve been in so long. My clock is so big!! No more racing around looking for a device wondering what time it is while getting ready (I have ADHD so clocks help so much). I got face towels, no more paper towels!! But i got some of those and toilet paper too! I was using one roll of paper towels for both. I got the comfiest flip flops that I don’t ever want to take off. I got that lysol spray that smells like lavender 💜 and dryer sheets and febreeze that I keep spraying on everything lol god it feels so good. Body lotion!! And it smells like summer!! And it’s from my favorite vegan brand. I still can’t get over having my trash in an actual trash can and my laundry in an actual hamper that won’t stink. And another small laundry basket to carry my laundry up that won’t take using all my strength to climb the stairs. Can you tell I went to target? Lol thanks for letting me share this, I’ve been dying to tell anyone Edit 2: OMG A GOLD I LOVE THIS SUBREDDIT 🥺💓 Edit 3: I turned my phone off the night I posted this and woke up to all of this 💓 I’m so overwhelmed I can’t even put it into words. I’m sorry I couldn’t update sooner. My rabbit had a little scare this week and I’ve been high key stressed about getting him better and getting him to take some meds. He’s doing a little better now thankfully. I just didn’t have the social battery or energy to respond or update until now. I honestly didn’t think anyone would see this. Maybe one or two people but the out pouring of love I’ve received is one of the most touching moments I’ve experienced on Reddit. To be seen and celebrated with like this, it helps so much on the lonely harder days than you can imagine. I want to respond to each and everyone of you, but I might not get to it tonight. I’m so sorry to keep everyone waiting and sorry I couldn’t update sooner. I just want to put my full energy and focus into my replies To everyone who offered me some help, I can’t tell you the feelings of gratitude and love I had when I saw your messages. The internet can be such a crazy mean place. But all of your messages restore my faith in humanity and give me so much hope for our world. Im overwhelmed and want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your kindnesses are so heart warming. It’s really kept me going this week. I’m going to get back to everyone as soon as I can. Thank you for being so patient and sweet to me. I don’t know if I can post or link my stuff here so I’ll message everyone who offered individually. Moms, siblings, friends, fam, i love you all so much. I wish all the blessings on you. I honestly cannot wait to be in the position where I can scroll through this subreddit and offer kindness and help like you all have done for me 💛 I can’t wait to pay it forward and be a mom for a minute to more people like me who need support and love the most You’re all my favorite people in the internet Edit 4: I’m so sorry, I have ASD and things slip from my mind so quickly. I wanted to say thank you so much for all the awards!!!! I literally dropped my phone when I woke up and saw all of them. Good lord I’ve never received so many golds, let alone awards! I’m going around giving everyone all the rewards I can now lol thank you so much for appreciating and celebrating my little wins and milestones. You’re all so kind, I wish the world was more like you submitted by /u/bigfeelzptsd to r/MomForAMinute [link] [comments]

The life and times of Tallulah Bankhead. Famous for her distinct raspy voice, razor sharp wit, love of booze, women, and cocaine, and not wearing underwear. Here she is at a variety of 1950’s Hollywood parties. “Daddy warned me about men and alcohol. He never warned me about women and cocaine.”

Has anyone found a women’s razor that ACTUALLY WORKS???!!!
I’ve gone through so many razors, and still have yet to find one that truly works well. At this point I’m almost considering buying disposables so that I don’t keep wasting a bunch of money trying razor after razor, but I feel like that would produce a lot of plastic trash which seems to already be a big problem for the environment. The problems I keep running into: •Either the razor won’t cut close to the hair, and so there are a bunch of little hair stubs •Or the razor is sharp and will nick me a bunch and make me bleed •Or hair and shaving cream and stuff always gets stuck behind the blades and is almost impossible to get out, which makes the razor loose it’s function. Or a combination of these things. I literally just want a razor that gives a clean shave without nicking me every time in multiple places the doesn’t loose it’s function almost instantly. Has anyone found a razor that truly does what it’s supposed to? Any suggestions? Thank you. submitted by /u/aulei to r/TheGirlSurvivalGuide [link] [comments]
