Single dad - oldest daughter wants to start shaving armpits - any advice for best razor?
Any tips for a razor and teaching a young girl to shave? (Feel free to to stop reading here if not interested in the story) Overall, I think I’m handling being a single dad pretty well. I have 5 daughters and my oldest is 9 and started puberty young, she got her period a few months ago and I think we handled it well (also discovered period underwear, which she prefers to liners) I don’t have a lot of women to go to for advice. Their mom can’t contact me, and only sees them in supervised settings. I don’t really believe in waiting to a set age, her armpits are getting hairy and she asked me about it - I said I’d be happy to help her shave - I just want to find the best razor for her and then I’ll teach her. I’ve heard men’s razors can be better than women’s - should I get something like a Mach 3? I personally stopped using a razor entirely and use an electric OneBlade. Is there something electric that is good for arm pits? I don’t think she’ll care if it’s a “close shave” or not. She doesn’t seem self conscious, and to my knowledge no one has said anything to her in a negative way - I I also know she hasn’t told her mom though and doesn’t seem to want to - so that could be part of it? Anyway I’m happy to support her, just want to make sure I can minimize any cuts! Sorry long post, discovering this subreddit it looks like I may be using it with some frequency. *edit: thanks everyone! Gonna try the Venus with comfort bar and see how that work for the first go. She hasn’t asked about her legs or anything else yet. submitted by /u/Invinoveritas753 to r/daddit [link] [comments]

Finally purchased but I have a question ⬇️
1) I see a lot of people mention using this on their bikini line. Am I able to do a full Brazilian with this? I’m tired of waxing just for it to last a week and then not being able to do anything during the inbetween periods. And don’t get me started on ingrowns & irritation bumps. Feel free to also give me tips and tricks, I’d appreciate it :) Thanks in advance submitted by /u/stonerbaby369 to r/HairRemoval [link] [comments]

I just watched ads for Venus, women's razors, and Gillette, men's razors back to back and they were drastically different.
I was sitting through the obligatory "Ha, you're too broke to view content without ads" nonsense and a Venus ad came on. Now, I mute ads so I have no dialog for either commercial. The Venus ad featured many, many, slow, close up shots of women, dripping wet with water, wearing bikinis shaving. The primary focus of the commercial were the bikinis and shaving around them. There's nothing inappropriate about the commercial other than it had me questioning why I was watching a woman shave her zoomed in crotch in 4K in my living room. As the ad ended, I was thinking to myself that I wished I had a men's commercial to compare it to. Gillette, owner of Venus, gifted me the men's version of the commercial next. It was half as long. It featured a bearded man, who didn't take his shirt off to shave???, swipe twice on the underside of his neck with a razor. Then to a camera shot of the razor and some shave gel. I dont know if I'm reading into it or not. From the perspective of a bi guy, the women's commercial seems sexualized while the men's does not. Otherwise I think I would be seeing how well the men's razor works on a man's chest, inner thigh and lower abdomen while he glistens in the shower. submitted by /u/Naive-Button3320 to r/TwoXChromosomes [link] [comments]

Razors for women!
so I've been using Harry's subscription service and it's ok, but I used a Venus razor for the first time in well over a year the other day and it made my legs soooo smooth! I'm wondering if anyone has used a good subscription service for their razors because anything sold in stores is way too expensive and not worth the price. Any women use Dollar Shave Club or Billie? submitted by /u/DisappearHereXx to r/beauty [link] [comments]
