Fiz uma compra na loja através da plataforma Shein, porém a bora não serviu, eu fiz todo processo de devolução e estou até agora aguardando o reembolso que não foi feito. A mercadoria já chegou pro vendedor e na plataforma aparece que nem foi coletado ainda no armazém. Aguardo um retorno pois já faz mais de 10 dias e o que constava é que o prazo de devolução seria entre 1 e 3 dias.

So I ordered my boyfriend a Dandadan hoodie from SHEIN because he loves Momo and Okarun. The product photos looked normal at first glance and I didn’t think too hard about it. The hoodie arrived and I didn't notice anything. Fast forward to weeks later my boyfriend has been wearing this hoodie out in public regularly. Grocery stores. Errands. Casual hangouts. Living his life. Then one day we actually looked at the print closely at the same time and just froze. The graphic is Momo eating a slice of pizza but it looks like a dick. Like it straight up looks like she’s sucking a fat one. We stared at each other in silence for a solid minute before absolutely losing it. Cue the investigation. I reverse image searched the graphic because the art looked way too good to be some random fast-fashion print. The search brought me to an old archived Reddit post titled “Momo devouring pizza by me.” And WOW — the original art is actually fantastic. In the real version she’s clearly eating a slice of pizza. Totally normal, cute fan art. But the version on the hoodie it looks well... extremely NSFW 💀 like they removed her teeth and made it look like she's well.. you know. So now I’m 99% sure SHEIN ripped the art, butchered it, and accidentally turned wholesome pizza Momo into cursed hoodie Momo. I tried to track down the original artist to let them know their work got stolen and mangled, but I couldn’t find a working account or contact anywhere. I have been shopping in Shein since before Covid. I’m gonna say, for a broke high school/college student, it worked pretty well for me, considering how expensive clothing has become, and how oversaturated thrift stores have become because of influencers. About a couple years ago, I heard everyone is boycotting Shein because of their unethical ways of producing clothing. However, my cousin works in a production team for a very popular brand in the US, and the pieces are made in China and Bangladesh. From what she described, the whole process of making the big brand’s clothings are not so different from Shein. Just because it’s a big brand does not mean China or Bangladesh change their factory conditions/working conditions. They probably even use the same factories as Shein, who knows? Yesterday she told me that she were the Shein top that her coworker complemented and asked her where she got it from. The coworker’s expressions completely changed when my cousin said it’s from Shein. You can find the same Shein items in Chinatown/ Koreatown/Flushing and people buy a lot from there. So then, I genuinely wanna understand, why is Shein getting so much hate. If there is anything that I am missing, please correct me. Because what I’m seeing, all the big brands like Walmart, Old Navy, HnM, etc are probably doing the same. Then why can’t we go for a cheaper alternative? I understand the whole debate about overconsumption and I support the argument of how fast fashion encourages too many purchases. But other than that, why are other brands better than Shein? I promise I genuinely want to understand. Edit: Some comments are talking about overconsumption,- which I have already mentioned that I dislike too. I also admit fast fashion is encouraging overconsumption. However, how are other companies/ thrift stores not promoting it as well? Thrift stores are known to have affordable items and big brands also have multiple sales all year round to lure customers in. Whenever something is cheaper, you buy 2 instead of 1. I feel like overconsumption has become a generational issue atp and we (YES, INCLUDING ME) need to fix it and have more self control. My whole question on this post was about why people defend other companies while putting the affordable one down. THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY I have placed an order from SHEIN on Dec. 31 totalling $145.99. the package was never delivered to me despite the package being marked as “Delivered”. I have confirmed with my concierge the delivery on Jan 7, and in the photo UniUni (carrier) provided there is no SHEIN package to be found. I have an email from the carrier admitting that the package was lost. and the “proof of delivery” I received clearly shows there is no package from SHEIN, nor a package big enough to contain $146 worth of clothing as this was the contents of my order this has been an incredibly frustrating process contacting SHEIN and UniUni customer service and kicking the ball between themselves My credit card company has closed the dispute because shein provided a proof of delivery even though the proof is CLEARLY insufficient and recharged my card. But for some f*ck*ss reason the dispute is still not closed on sheins end and therefore they cant refund me 🙃 And im pretty sure they’ve blocked my actual account from customer service bc the option for a live chat wont show up anymore and I had to make a new account just to talk to a real person.
