SuperDuperSonic Grip Tape Peeling
Final Product Layout for idea The peel had been bothering me So my griptape has been peeling since I got the board. It's not even a month old, it was drooping like this out of the box. At first it was just kind of annoying then while pumping it got worse and my grip was getting compromised. Not a Pantheon issue, probably just a bad glue batch or something. I had some spare Mob Grip laying around from my freestyle skateboard and came up with this simple design. I will say aside from the grip issue the SDS has been fantastic 0 complaints. submitted by /u/Evesgallion to r/longboarding [link] [comments]

Please devs, add the old school 80s skateboards to this game!
To the Development Team, I am writing to provide constructive feedback regarding the content released for Season 2, following the announced 1980s theme . We were excited by the prospect of an 80s theme, and many players were anticipating a comprehensive integration of this era beyond just character fashion. While the current content is appreciated, the community feels that the extent of 80s-themed items across the game's core elements is currently underutilized and could be significantly expanded. Key Areas for Content Expansion: My primary request is for a deeper integration of 80s aesthetics into skateboarding gear and accessories. Specifically, I propose adding elements that truly capture the period's distinct style but not limited to only the season for future players. Skate Decks & Components: Introduce more Old School board shapes from the 1980s, including recognizable, influential designs (e.g., shapes reminiscent of popular brands like Nash). Unique Under-Board Accessories: Include nostalgic functional and decorative items such as: Tail Ribs/Rails: The plastic strips placed beneath the deck for slide protection. Nose/Tail Guards: Plastic components used for protection during slides or for braking. Brake Sparks/Spark Pads: (A highly desired element) Functional or visual accessories that generate sparks when used (if technically feasible, this would be a major feature). Apparel and Minor Gear: Expand the range of themed items to include more period-specific wheels, grip tapes, shoes, and general accessories. Community Inspiration: This vision is shared within the community. I recently observed a TikTok content creator demonstrating the game's potential by making excellent 80s-vibe reels using the current limited content. https://www.tiktok.com/@skate80_s?_r=1&_t=ZP-92BvrsAHKFK I believe implementing these expanded elements would significantly boost community engagement, user-generated content, and the overall longevity of Season 2's theme. I remain incredibly enthusiastic about the direction of the game, and this topic is so inspiring that it has even encouraged me to the possibility of actively pursue a future career opportunities within EA to contribute directly to realizing this kind of content. Thank you for considering this proposal. We look forward to seeing the continued evolution of the game and thank you so much for listening to your community. submitted by /u/I-Iarkadenn to r/SkateEA [link] [comments]

We’ve got some details to share to get you ready for Early Access — remember, coming at the end of this Summer (Northern Hemisphere) — as well as some Playtest details and some questions submitted by you, the skate. community. This volume of The Grind is gonna touch on customization, music and sounds in San Vansterdam, and we’re going to share a bit about our Seasons (starting shortly after Early Access drops) and the skate.Pass. At the end of July, we invited over 1 MILLION skate. Insiders to join us in San Vansterdam, and it’s been wild. We’ve got up to 150 folks in each server, throwing down, completing Challenges, having fun. With Early Access coming soon, it’s going to be insane! https://preview.redd.it/kmdf594wn7jf1.jpg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=06d611a9603dc937120a3e910bfff5a85b4cd808 I’m seeing videos - when can I record/share/stream? Reminder: the Council and some creators were given special access with a watermarkless build, but the NDA is still in effect for all Playtesters. We know you’re excited — we’re excited to see your content. We’ll be lifting the NDA before Early Access, so keep your eyes peeled for that NDA-lift announcement coming near the end of the month. Customization The Skate Shop offers (optional) premium cosmetics for purchase using San Van Bucks (or “SVB”) to customize your character beyond the free rewards you'll receive. You will see exactly what you are getting when you use SVB in the Shop. As we’ve mentioned in previous volumes of The Grind, there's a lot to unlock by simply playing the game and earning rewards -- we'll talk a bit more about that below. When you first load into skate., you’ll need to create your skater. First, you set up your appearance. Choose your build, height, body shape and size, and more to customize your look, then hit that right bumper to choose Locomotion (how you move off-board through San Vansterdam). Next up is your face shape — and there’s a lot of options. After that, pick your hair style, color, and shade, then slide over to your eyebrows to make your selection. Eyes, nose, and mouth are next, and you can choose facial hair and color if you want. Select your skater’s voice, and you’re done. Now it’s time to get dressed. Apparel, Accessories, and Boards are where you set your style. Starting off, you’ll have just a few options, like the “I ♥️SV” shirt, some basic pants and shoes, and basic deck setups (design, griptape, trucks, wheels). That’s where those Challenges and Missions come in. Complete Challenges to earn Rip Chips (only earnable through gameplay) and then hit the Shop to turn those Rip Chips into gear. Open a box of gear with your free Rip Chips to get great cosmetic rewards and also up your Rip Score, which will unlock even more items. With each tier of the Rip Score AND each tier of your Neighborhood score, you get more items to customize your skater with (hats, helmets, shoes, socks, shirts, pants, shorts, skirts, decks, trucks, stickers for the decks, grip tape and grip tape designs, and more). https://preview.redd.it/kbcdioj2o7jf1.jpg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=52ae73e7a0076214ae8a9aafa2a22b7df25b71de But wait! You’re not done! Quick gestures are customizable, so check out the Gestures option to select which of the four Quick Gestures you wanna have locked and loaded. DID YOU KNOW: You can do Gestures while pulling tricks in skate. - like this one. (You can even Gesture when you’re flying through the air. First, the soundtrack is big — like, 100 songs big. The team focused on emerging artists and threw in some deep cuts to help you discover music you may not have heard yet. https://preview.redd.it/swm4x1b7o7jf1.jpg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=727f9aca6293bb797fdabc154c079404a46f614f You can browse the soundtrack by pressing down on the D-Pad and then highlighting the headphones icon. From there, you can choose the Playlists you want to jam out to when cruisin’ the streets of San Van. You’ll see the main soundtrack in the Featured section - split into three playlists - DO A KICKFLIP!, SV Local Classics, and Down Low Radio. See that one titled San Van Jams? That’s the skate. community favorites - based on the songs most liked by all players across all platforms. https://preview.redd.it/r2sqjig9o7jf1.png?width=3834&format=png&auto=webp&s=c18d477cd919781b1e69ddc9341805b72acf682d You can favorite whole playlists or individual tracks to make your own favorite playlist, and you’ll see them appear in the Liked section. You can use the left and right triggers to adjust the volume, if you want it blasting or if you need it to be a little subtle. When in the world, you can mute the speakers by pressing down on the D-Pad (to open the Quick Access wheel) and pressing Y (or Triangle). And you can discover music just by skating around San Van - you’ll hear it blaring out of speakers in skate spots, teasing you from the top of buildings, and even from passing cars. Just run up and use Grabster when prompted (hold down on the L stick) to collect it! It will show up under the Newly Discovered category in Grabster. https://preview.redd.it/7sbpkjvbo7jf1.jpg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5d642190804d9cc8d02a7d89bf9b945637e0807b And if you’re liking the soundtrack, stay tuned! The team will be adding lots of new tracks every season - and making sure the ones you listen to and favourite the most stay in the game for longer! Now, we know music is a part of skateboarding culture - and not one specific genre or style, but all types of music (just like there’s all types of skaters and all types of gamers). Our music team is currently curating the skate. Soundtrack (coming soon to Spotify), but we wanted to drop a sample of some of the artists right now to get you vibin’ and ready for Early Access. Some Artists from the skate. Soundtrack Turnstile Denzel Curry Little Simz Skegss Earth, Wind & Fire MF Doom Just a little taste, a tease of some artists on the soundtrack, and there’s a LOT more. The soundtrack for Early Access will have around 100 tracks, and we’re just getting started. We’ll share the Spotify link soon, so stay tuned to our official social and community channels. Seasons and the skate.Pass We’ve mentioned seasons a few times in The Grind. You’re probably wondering, “How will skate. do seasons? How long will they last? When do seasons start? Is there a skate.Pass?” Quick answers (full details coming in The Grind: Vol 6 next month): Yes, skate. will have seasons and seasonal content. The world, game features, in-game events, and even the soundtracks will be updated to celebrate each season. On average, the season will last about 3 months (so we’ll have 4 per year, like a real calendar!). Our first season will start shortly after the Early Access launch, and more information will be available next month in Vol 6 of The Grind. With each season, we'll be adding new cosmetics and customization items, more music, and more to do. We will have a skate.Pass - with a paid and free track with various rewards, Seasonal Challenges, and activities to keep you on your board. Stay tuned - we’ll have all the details about our skate. Seasons and the skate.Pass next month, so get ready! What’s happening with the skate. Insider Playtest? As of June 27, we closed sign-ups for the skate. Insider program. From the time we opened up sign-ups in 2022 to June 27, 2025, over 1 MILLION future San Vansterdam citizens signed up. And we spent all of July getting invites out to everyone who did sign up. Signed up but didn’t get an email? Are you sure you checked the right email? Quick reminder: Our official Discord is not the spot to share feedback, bugs, and issues - but we DO want you to share them with us. If you’re a playtester, head to the Playtest forums and let us know what’s going on. The feedback we’ve received already helped us get to 0.27 and 0.27.5 (coming soon!), so keep it up! Thanks for coming with us on the road to Early Access - we’re getting closer every day. Let’s dive into your questions. Keep them coming! Your Q’s, our A’s. What can you tell us about the future of the game's visuals? It’s important to remember that Early Access is just the beginning. Everything from the gameplay to core features to visuals will continue evolving and improving during Early Access and beyond. This is a new game, a new world, and we’re excited about where it’s headed. We think this is the best skateboarding experience we have ever created. Will the visuals change over time? Absolutely. You'll see the characters and world evolve to include even more detail and personality through our future updates. Thanks for your continued support. While we can’t respond to every piece of feedback, rest assured that we are listening. Is early access free? And if so, does everybody get it or is there a way to ensure I get in? Early Access is absolutely free-to-play. Everyone who wants to jump into San Vansterdam when Early Access launches is welcome! Was wondering if it would be possible to implement a type of party finding system for co-op missions? Playing together in the open-world of San Vansterdam is so much fun, from Throwdowns to Co-op Challenges. As we continue to improve and develop skate. through Early Access, we’ll look into more ways to improve the social experience and co-op/group play. Will server sizes increase even more? It would be crazy to have like 500 people on one server. It would be crazy - not sure if it’s the crazy we want to ensure stability. That being said, with Early Access, we’re just getting started and crazy ideas may make sense down the road. Currently, our sweet spot is up to 150 skaters per server, but that could change in the future. Will any extra skaters be available to play as like in previous games? Any pros? skate. is all about you and what you're doing in San Vansterdam. That being said, it doesn't mean we won't see the occasional new visitors in San Van sometime in the future. Will we be able to re-enter the tutorial area and explore it freely? It’s so cool; I would like to go back like in Skate 3 going back to Skate School. “I’m going going, back back, to the Isle of Grom” is definitely a jam, and we will be opening the Isle up at some point during Early Access so you can refresh the basics or get crazy, Isle-style. Are there going to be any collab's with show's, movies, etc.? Through skate.’s live service, we want to bring a lot of events and experiences through the Seasons, so we’ll share more as we get closer to the seasonal drops whenever we might incorporate these elements. Are you looking into custom/player-created gear or designs? We don't have something to share today, but this is definitely something the team is very excited about. When we have something concrete to share, like a timeline, we'll make sure to let you know. Don’t forget to drop your questions in the Q&A channel in The Grind category of Discord, and we’ll pull some to answer for our next volume of The Grind. Join the community at https://discord.gg/skateEA. See you in San Vansterdam, The skate. Team submitted by /u/Braddock512 to r/SkateEA [link] [comments]

New Black/Blue Setup. Help me choose a grip tape.
Going for a black and blue setup. Deck is 8.5 Zero Burleigh Flash Series, Stage 11 Vertigo Forged Hollow Independent 149s, Spitfire Formula Four Radials 54mm, Thunder Blue 7/8 hardware and mob grip tape. I ordered two different designs. One is ‘Blown Ink’ Mob graphic, the other Mob x Zero Jamie Thomas Cross Cutout. I love both so much but was leaning towards the dog graphic because it matches the skateboard art. The cutout is cool too because I was lucky enough to get a blue top color to match. A blue cross against the black grip would look so slick and clean. Also the black isn’t as deep on the Mob graphic for what it’s worth. Just wanted to share my setup and get feedback on which grip tape you would choose? P. S. Great community and I love seeing all the different setups. Keep up the good work! submitted by /u/DBLUE711 to r/SkateboardSetups [link] [comments]

Skateboard grip tape
Is it possible to cut skateboard grip tape—it’s basically rough sandpaper—with a cricut? Will it completely ruin my machine? I painted this design but figured now that I have a cricut I could come up with some cool designs for my next skateboard deck. submitted by /u/voubled to r/cricut [link] [comments]

Custom Skateboard Grip
The board is a Landyachtz Dinghy Blunt Synth Made a design in Illustrator, printed and cut out the design, traced it onto the back of the grip tape, carefully cut it out, and stuck it on. It’s not perfect because of some warping, but I’m still happy with how it turned out. submitted by /u/ethanholmes2001 to r/Vulfpeck [link] [comments]

Meepo awd pro battery upgrade, grip tape upgrade, enclosure upgrades!
Hey Yall! I recently bought a tynee ultra x pro and it's literally everything I could ask for. BUT this awesome board has reignited my burning love for electric skateboards in general. So I dusted off my old meepo awd pro that's been broken for 3 years, and decided to do some trouble shooting. The problem I had with the meepo is neither side working, and only one side works when plugged into charger. I thought for sure atleast one esc was shot(it has two esc's). To trouble shoot, I found my old meepo shuffle v4 that has a broken esc, and it took its battery out to test if either of the escs work on the awd pro. Turns out both escs work with the shuffle battery and the board not being plugged in! Hooray! Only thing is I had to try the escs seperately, so I'm waiting on a meepo clone battery from puaida to come in so each esc has its own battery like its original design. It's possible you could connect both esc's to one battery BUT the regular meepo batteries wouldn't work bc they only have a continous output of 30a and the escs both require 24a continous(48a). Which is why it's good to let them have their own battery each. Puaida also told me they could remake me two 10s1p original batteries upgraded with p42a cells for $130 each($260 total if I buy two!) That's a steal especially since meepo sells a single 10s1p awd pro battery for $244(rip off). But I already have the shuffle battery, so i figured I'd save money and get the $99 4,400 mah 10s2p meep battery instead so I wouldn't necessarily HAVE to buy the two p42a 10s1p batteries($260 total, still a good deal though). Because of the drop through deck and the thicker batteries requiring a thicker enclosure, I will be putting the batteries on top so that im not scraping against every speed bump and little obstacles in the road. I will also be buying very small 5.6x 3.6x 1.7 inch enclosures for the escs. I'm hoping the board feels a BIT more flexy. I plan to put foam honey comb grip tape, and completely sand down the bottom of deck and stain it with a black stain. I also want to possibly tear off all the urethane off my old wheels and add cloud wheel sleeves the hard way. So far this is kinda what it will look like. Totally unrelated questions, backfire, Tynee, and exway all have hub motors that are around 550w and support 12s. Does anyone know how they accomplish that? Is it some kind of voltage limiter programmed into their escs? Would I be able to run my meepo shuffle hubs(620w) on a 12s esc and battery? submitted by /u/Top_Benefit6004 to r/ElectricSkateboarding [link] [comments]

This boy was skateboarding next to our jobsite all afternoon. We noticed his board needed work so the boys chipped in to get him a new one
After checking with his mother to make sure she was cool with us buying him a new board, they followed us to the surf shop around the corner from their home. He picked out the board and all the new parts to go with it, then assembled it himself. He picked a deck designed by John Montesi, which our sales manager happened to know, so we got him to FaceTime the boy and offer some encouragement. After that, we all hung outside the surf shop and watched him show off his new board. It brought us all back to when we were kids and first learned how to skateboard. The kid also had a pet opossum, which was cool. Shout out to the team at Daytona Board Store for giving us everything at cost, when they found out what we were doing, they even threw in the grip tape and hardware for free. Also props to the boys at Envirodata and Florida Foliage for chipping in. I'm sure that kid will remember this moment for the rest of his life. submitted by /u/MashedPotatoh to r/MadeMeSmile [link] [comments]

Skateboard deck designs
So I’ve been thinking about buying a skateboard deck that has the design on the top. I’m used to having grip tape on my board, and the design isn’t designed onto grip tape, it’s straight on the board. Should I still buy it and what does it feel like to ride a board with no grip tape? submitted by /u/Religious_Studies011 to r/skateboarding [link] [comments]

When I saw the skateboard deck a year or so ago knew I had to have it. Bought the only one I could off eBay, not "full" design version because the middle logo and no special grip tape with pin art, and it finally arrived today! Also my other new swag and stuff I posted before. With more on the way.

Suggestions for Printing customs graphics on grip tape and skateboard decks
Hey guys, I’m quite new to this so I wanted to get some expert opinions. I want to start my own custom grip tape and skateboard deck business but I’m completely unsure with what printer to get. I make my own designs and everything but am worried about printing as I’m not sure which machines can handle what material, as well as what sizes they support. I’ve seen people talk about UV printers and ink-jets, but my knowledge is pretty much non existent. I want to make high quality custom prints for people at a cheaper price if possible as I come from a council estate I don’t really have a lot of money to work with. I’d really appreciate any suggestions given cause I’ve been searching the internet for the last month or so and can’t find anyone or anywhere where they are willing to tell people how it’s done. Really want to start printing as soon as possible! Thanks peeps :) submitted by /u/Ashamed-Television50 to r/CommercialPrinting [link] [comments]

A while ago my friend and I agreed to collaborate, and this was the result: a skateboarding themed AK-47 that combines wood and grip tape with an illustrated design.

Skateboard grip tape attempt
So, after watching doughnut tutorials I decided to design a texture for the grip tape using hair type particles. for simplicity I took a tiny cube as an object and I randomly distributed it on the faces of grip tape. I also gave them randomness to scale and rotation. The problem was that my 3D viewport started to go slower as I increased the number of little cubes. As I reached 1 000 000, for each edit action I had to wait for 2-5 min. And a million of cubes wasn't enough to accomplish a realistic grip tape. Q1: What are the suggestions to accomplish the desired texture? Q2: Do you think new RTX Machines (new era of realtime rendering) will be able to simulate such complex models in the game engines? https://preview.redd.it/7qvhk8ix1q351.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=caa03635abc197bb5d2aecbc38dd8bdf2b495092 submitted by /u/ArturLubiv to r/blender [link] [comments]

Grip tape for stealth recommendations
Hey. I’m looking for a new grip tape for my stealth. Does anybody have any recommendations for a good vendor or product. Don’t really feel like designing my own but want something decent looking. Thanks! submitted by /u/Booooooooosted to r/boostedboards [link] [comments]

Grip tape
Hey Everyone ! If I get some skateboard grip tape with designs and cut it up to fit my one wheel can I apply it over the original grip tape ? Or do I need to melt off the original grip tape with like a blow dryer and apply the new tape ? submitted by /u/Jakeww21 to r/onewheel [link] [comments]

Skateboard Griptape Grips [M&P Shield]
So I wasn't particularly thrilled with the grip on the M&P Shield. I wasn't disappointed, but I wasn't thrilled. I wasn't losing control of the weapon at all, but I tend to get sweaty palms and after a full days of shooting, I just wouldn't have the positive contact I desired. Since this was my carry gun, I was worried I could be in a situation, on a hot day where I had been active and with all this: it could be harder for me to control my weapon. While it's unlikely I ever need to draw and even more unlikely this is the situation in which I'm drawing in, why not be prepared? I found a few places that offered after market grip options, but they seemed expensive and I'm a DIY kinda of guy. I picked up a sheet of black griptape from Amazon for a grand total of $8.00. Also obligatory notice, if you use Amazon, use the SAF Link. I traced the design of the grip from the pistol onto paper, then onto the griptape and cut with an old pair of scissors (griptape, sandpaper, etc will fuck up your scissors over time). I've been quite happy with the end result. Due to the contour of the pistol, it doesn't sit perfectly flat, but the small ridges conform to my hand. The only downside is that I don't wear an undershirt, so at the beginning it would scratch me slightly, especially when turning around while seated. After wearing and using it a bit, the extreme grit seems to have subsided and I no longer notice it. The grip has increased by magnitude and it feels great in my hand. Here is a photo of the completed gun. Apologies for the shadow, I just took a quick picture for you all. If anybody has any questions or comments, I'd love to hear them. submitted by /u/whubbard to r/CCW [link] [comments]
