普通にSkyscannerかKayakで比較してかかる時間（乗り継ぎが長すぎると宿泊費や食費がかかる）と値段の兼ね合い。 行きたい国や途中でもう一か所寄りたい何てことになったら、いろんなハブ経由のルートをマニュアルで検索して安くて乗り継ぎやすそうで経由地が面白そうなところを探す。

In Schwanau, near the French border for travel to Strasbourg or Colmar and the attractive German towns of Lahr, Gengenbach, Gutach.. this place w/ a/c may work for you and looks to be available for your dates. "Fe Wo Europa Park - Rulantica-Straßburg - Colmar" Found on booking.com, Skyscanner.com, maybe others too.

Using Skyscanner
I tried the suggestion of using a search engine, and then going to the airlines own website. I used Skyscanner and then went to the Ryanair website, but the prices were quite different. This was for a direct flight within Europe. Is Skyscanner really to be used for more complex, multi-leg flights? Could it be useful for some direct flights?
