So I tried buying the new Nike tiempo maestro elite le from pro direct soccer but they canceled it due to not having stock:( I live in California any ideas where I can buy the same from? What’s up everyone, so wanted to share some information on this seller TopFootballBoots. My son plays travel baseball but prefers soccer cleats over baseball cleats because they’re much lighter. He currently uses a pair of Nike soccer cleats that were really expensive and since I’ve been into the rep game for many months now I figured why not look into rep soccer cleats. Ran across another subreddit that revolves around rep soccer cleats as well call them in the US, Football Boots in other parts of the world. TopFootballBoots posted a giveaway of a pair of his cleats in return for a review, he reached out and said I’d been chosen. He only asked that I cover shipping which turned out to be $17 to the U.S. which is very reasonable in the rep game considering the going rate for normal sneakers. If full transparency, he noted he’d refund the shipping upon my review. This is my only connection with this seller. Timeline: We selected our shoe on 11/6 Received QC’s 11/10 and GLed the same day Received tracking same day, 11/10 Cleats arrive 12/04 So 25 days to receive, a bit slow but at $17 shipping cost, no complaints there. The cleats look pretty dang good, they talk about a bend test when it comes to rep cleats, not sure what your supposed to look for but these bend about the same as my son’s retail pair. The soles are a different style than his retail and a different material and finish so can’t say how close they are in that regard. The cushioning that wraps the back of the heel isn’t as good as the retail but it looks fine. My son says these feel bigger than his retail so they may run on the bigger side but he said not by much. Both pairs are size 9 US (42.5 EU). The materials feel good and similar to his retail pair. He’ll be using them this weekend so I’ll post a follow up. He said the cost of these would be $50 shipped. No idea of the batch. I have my eyes on the Nike Sam Kerr signature boots. I like the way they look and there's no other version than elite. I play in an amateur club, won't have a y games now as the season is ending, only team trainings.But when I saw these boots, I started saving up and even got a part time job to get money for them. Now that I'm close to having the needed sum, I'm wondering if they're simply worth it. I've had Puma Future cleats for the past 5 years and nothing ever happened with them. Just got home from first year uni and bc I’m reffing soccer this summer i asked my parents where my cleats were. Found out they sold them while I was gone. It’s true they bought them for me a couple years ago and the last time I used them was fall of 2023. I wasn’t mad they sold them but I asked if they could E transfer me so I could buy a new pair and they got upset. They say I should buy my own new pair but it’s kinda expensive and I’m pretty upset they sold something that I thought was mine. What’re ur thoughts? Update - thanks everyone. Hi everybody, I’m praying on an event that happened last night during soccer practice. Anger is seething and I don’t want to make a decision clouded in outrage. I value a lot of the feedback I read in this community, and I’m a first time dad, so here it goes. Our son is 4, he’s been in soccer for the past month or so, it’s his very first sport of any kind. On his team are two brothers, perhaps twins, but very close in age. They are exceptionally unruly; I say this as I recognize my son’s own proclivity for anarchy. Last night I was lamenting to Momma Bear about how one boy kept knocking over the goals. While it’s not unusual for a four year old to play inside of and knock down a soccer goal it becomes frustrating to watch him do it 7 times in the middle of drills, running from one end of the field and knocking down the goal to the other just to do it again. Mom was on her phone, coaches were getting frustrated. For what it’s worth, I was really surprised by the patience and Grace that the coaches presented to all of the kids. Now, I’m standing behind a goal watching practice, and there’s 3-4 kids around the goal trying to finish the drill. The little boy is on the ground just outside the net again sitting down. out of absolutely nowhere he kicks a little girl in the thigh HARD and she stumbles back into the net. The next second he swings around on his butt looks at my son and kicked him square in the face with his cleat, again very hard. I yelled very, very loudly, “NO! NOT COOL!” Then looked over to the parents in the sideline, dad had just arrived a few minutes prior. Then yelled “He just kicked this little girl in the leg and kicked my son in the face with his cleat” Loud enough to get everyone’s attention, except for the two parents of the boy as they had their head stuck on their phones. Once I noticed that they had no intention of actually looking up from their phones, I took my son’s hand, grabbed his water bottle and we walked off the field. Now some background about the father. you ever hear someone screaming yell at their kids and you feel sad? Where the yelling is so severe, it feels like abuse? My fiancé immediately noticed it as well when we began soccer. His tone is very harsh, very aggressive, very dismissive, and while I’m not one to judge, we both come from a history of child abuse so we know what it looks and feels like. Also I’m prior service and can recognize the difference between abuse and aggressive criticism. my fiancé noticed long bruises on both the boys backs on one of the previous practices and it just makes me sad. Now, my knee-jerk reaction is to pull him from the team because I’ve seen enough already to know that it’s not a good environment. And if anything did happen again from this boy, and we had to go to the hospital, I would never forgive myself. on the other side of the coin, I love that he’s in a sport and is having fun and learning and growing. I’m not proud enough to demand that the boys leave the team but I’m not sure that my son should leave because he’s unsafe. Should we simply switch teams? He really really likes his coaches as do we. I really feel like these boys are loose cannons that come from an abusive family. I don’t want my son around it if I can prevent it especially in a physically active environment like this. If I could say anything to the dad, I would like to say “perhaps you shouldn’t teach your children not to hit by hitting them” but that’s not my role or responsibility. Just my feelings. Thanks for your input we appreciate it. Update: wow, thanks everyone incredible ideas. I spoke with the coach today, we are on the same page, I decided to speak with the Dad this Saturday at the next game. I’m going to say a prayer, take a deep breath and let him talk. If he wants to diminish the situation or says anything off color we’ll walk away and take it as an absolute sign that this behavior will continue and another kid will get intentionally hurt, but it won’t be mine. I (37M) live with my wife (37F) and son and daughter ( 9 and 11 respectively). Recently, there has been this kid who comes by our house after playing soccer and either rides his bike or walks over the lawn with his cleats on his way home. It started out as me giving him stern looks whenever I saw him, then it slowly progressed to me asking him to just go around. The last time I asked him to stop he made a point to stomp extra hard and twist his feet in to the grass to piss me off. Since then Ive just been hosing him. The first time I sprayed him with the hose he ran off, but then for some reason he just started standing there while I hose him like he enjoys it. Its now progressed to me sitting on my lawn chair pointing my hose at him, and him just staring at me while he does so. Sometimes we even make small talk. Im ngl, it started off as a really bitter relationship, but Ive actually gotten to know the kid quite well, we talk for maybe 15-20 mins everyday, and he doesnt seem to mind being hosed down after sweating hard playing soccer. He comes by daily and we just shoot the shit while I hose him and he stands there for a bit. Wife told me I need to stop, even after I explained it to her she said Im making us look like childish idiots.
