AMELIA+BLIXEN: Black & White Spring 2026 Capsule
In early March of this year i decided to try dressing out of a capsule of black and white/ivory. I made this decision partly to simplify dressing as i live w my mom and her health required more attention, but also just because. For me, it’s fun to dress a bit more intentionally, mom likes seeing my get ups, so it’s a way to have some fun for myself but making it easier by reducing options up front. There’s about 25 pieces here, more or less. I’ve been very intentional about bringing pieces into my closet for decades now, i’m picky! Some of the clothes here have been in my closet for 15 or more years (the ivory w black embroidered polka dot top, the black and white me made corset tops), but most have been around a few to a couple of years. I used to design and sew most of my clothes, the last few years i’ve had neurological problems and so i haven’t. But i have found some brands which produce pieces very much in line with my aesthetic, if not my budget lol. I use the gem app to alert me to DOEN blouses: between seconds, used, and dupes i’ve managed to get a nice collection over the years. As you can see, i enjoy layering these blouses in various combinations - they are of lighter fabrics which makes this more comfy in hotter weather (i’m also usually running a low grade fever). My aesthetic is kind of a combo of Amelia Earhart utility and Karen Blixen decaying belle epoque. I like to have pieces that reflect both attitudes in both tops and bottoms, so i can go strictly utilitarian or full frou frou depending on my mood. I’ve taken screenshots of the phone folder i’ve been keeping of some of these outfits, with a variety of single outfit pictures so people can get a better sense of the pieces (i’m not sure how many pictures i can post!). Capsule wardrobes are usually associated w ‘classic’ or ‘minimalist’ aesthetics, but i’ve found that they can work with really a huge variety of aesthetics as long as the pieces work with each other and with your actual day to day life. Base Colors: White through ivory, cream, beige, tan, khaki Black - solid, textured, patterned and dark navy Accent Colors: denim and tobacco Dusters: Tobacco in linen by Solitaire Black w tan pin strip by Gudrun Sjogren in cotton hemp Natural linen by Hearts Desire by Mary Grace Blouses: White linen corset top of my own design: one shorter, one longer Black cotton eyelet corset top of my own design w multi buttons Gap x DOEN peter pan collar white cotton button up blouse Cotton ivory top w black embroidered polka dots and ruffle Kara Thoms cotton tops in cotton-white w voluminous sleeves and ruffled yoke, ivory gauze w lace trim DOEN henri style top in black/ecru floral cotton Madewell henri style dupe in white cotton ‘shadow plaid’ weave DOEN knock off rayon black sleeveless ‘henri’ with front ruffle and pintucks Cotton button up shirt by Frank and Eileen in soft white w faint blue and grey stripes Scoop neck fine ribbed cotton tees by Everlane in black and oatmeal heather Cotton Crochet short sleeved cardigan by DOEN in white Me made and stitched long sleeved little rayon cardi/shrug, black w white stripes inspired by Ivey Abitz Skirts: Eyelet edged cotton half slips by Gudrun Sjogren in black and ivory Black cotton eyelet skirt of my own design White eyelet trimmed skirt by DOEN Pants: Painter’s pants by dickies in white and light khaki Curve leg jeans by Everlane (they are very long in the crotch, too much so for me but i got them second hand to try out jeans for the first time in many years. I love the denim so will be looking for a better fit) Dresses: Black and ecru floral in rayon knit by Gudrun Sjogren White cotton eyelet by Gap x DOEN Aprons: Williams and Sonoma in heavy cotton, dark navy and light tan stripes Me made in graphic floral denim print Shoes: Sneakers in white/ivory; urban clogs by Sanita in light grey (to be honest tho i spend a fair amount of time barefoot) submitted by /u/IdaCraddock69 to r/oldhagfashion [link] [comments]

#Eurovision2026 Day 1 Live Megathread
This is the official Eurovision Live Blog of Vienna 2026, coming to you from right in front of the Wiener Stadthalle stage! We’re sharing what we see as the artists rehearse their performances for the very first time. Got questions about anything? Ask away in the comments section! We’re here all day. We wouldn’t wanna be anywhere else, would you? 🤩 Here’s the rehearsal schedule for Day 1. We start with Moldova, apparently take a brief detour to Palma de Mallorca (???) and after five more countries have rehearsed, we end the day with Finland. Fin. 10:30 🇲🇩 Moldova: Satoshi - Viva, Moldova! 11:10 🇸🇪 Sweden: FELICIA - My System 11:50 🇭🇷 Croatia: LELEK - Andromeda 12:45 🇬🇷 Greece: Akylas - Ferto 13:25 🇵🇹 Portugal: Bandidos do Cante - Rosa 15:00 🇬🇪 Georgia: Bzikebi - On Replay 15:40 🇫🇮 Finland: Linda Lampenius x Pete Parkkonen - Liekinheitin All times are in CEST. Which is appropriate, because if you open your map app in Vienna and zoom out, you realise that you really are right in the heart of Europe, they’re not just saying that because it sounds poetic ❤️🤍❤️ --------------------------------------- 10:15 - We're in Wiener Stadthalle The Live Blog is where Eurovision fans and friends come to get the very first insight into what all 35 performances are going to look like on 12 | 14 | 16 May. Before our photos are published and our preview clips released, this is your place to discover every detail and ponder every prop. Until the visuals arrive, you can rely on our words. And as we’re in Austria, the ghost of Edgar Allan Poe might even be popping up to assist. Who The Hell Is?... First things first. Your gal Heidi, who you’ll remember from doing the Live Blog in previous years, is currently off on a multiple-week jaunt around Europe. But she hopes to be chatting with you again in the future 💬 Instead, you’ve got me, the social media guy. I write the captions across the Eurovision social media platforms all year round. And it’s nice to not be restricted by a shorter character limit here, because I’m sure there’ll be plenty to say. --------------------------------------- 10:30 - Moldova and mash-ups We're waiting for Satoshi to take the stage. He said it would happen and he was right - Moldova is about to be on duty! I was humming Viva, Moldova! earlier this morning and it suddenly drifted into Forogj, Világ by NOX. That’s got some monumental mash-up potential right there - 🇲🇩 2026 vs 🇭🇺 2005 In the grand spirit of the Käärijä x Baby Lasagna interval performance at Basel 2025, drop your dream Eurovision mash-ups in the comments below. --------------------------------------- 11:15 - Saluti. A tutti. The first Live Show of Vienna 2026 on Tuesday 12 May has got its party-starter, its hype guy and its on-your-feet crowdpleaser all in one. This is an ideal Semi-Final opener from Moldova - Viva, Moldova! by Satoshi. If you’ve seen the Selecția Națională performance which won in Moldova, you’ll be well aware of the BIG energy that Satoshi exudes by bouncing enthusiastically around the stage. Well, at the Wiener Stadthalle he’s got even more space to cover, and you can tell he’s absolutely in his element exploring every inch of it. He’s as happy to be in Vienna as we are delighted to have him - and Moldova - right here with us. At the start of the performance we even get to see the Moldovan flag beaming out in big lights from behind the screen. And it’s a beautiful sight! Call us Athena Manoukian in 2020 because we’re currently thinking one thing: CHAINS ON YOU! Satoshi is adorned with rows of chain mail on his shoulders, draped over a blinged-out sports top in royal blue. Royal blue - fitting for our Moldovan king 👑 The choice of accessories has caused what you could call a chain reaction… those chains have extended to his band and his co-performers (oh HEEEEY, Aliona Moon, it’s been a minute!), with every outfit accented with a touch of shiny metal. Not that the heavy material is weighing anyone down… So! Much! Bouncing! If you’ve been getting to know Satoshi since his national final win, then you’ll be familiar with his deep appreciation for Japanese culture. He’s ensured that this is on full display here, with a cute n’ colourful backdrop that viewers will no doubt find adorable. Cos it is adorable. And features even more bouncing. --------------------------------------- 11:40 - First Look photos are on their way We’re officially SEATED. And we hope you are too. Our seat is in the Wiener Stadthalle, facing the stage. To our right is a big production team that are checking every performance closely on their monitors. They’re made up of lovely folk from the Austrian broadcaster ORF, as well as our Eurovision office besties. To our left is the phenomenally talented Eurovision photography team 📸 We’re truly blessed to have Corinne, Sarah-Louise and Alma are back with us once again. They’re gonna be darting around the arena at an impressive speed, taking gorge pics of all 35 First Rehearsals and painstakingly choosing the best shots to upload. The first images will be released tomorrow on the Eurovision Song Contest Instagram and Facebook! Now, Sweden is up next. Time to open our head, our heart... --------------------------------------- 12:00 - MY 💥 MY 💥 MY SYSTEM Guys, we’re shaking. We’re physically shaking. Not because we’re in the presence of icon FELICIA (though that can’t be fully counted out), but because those banging synths near the end of the song (you know the part we mean, we know you know) are making the arena floor actually vibrate. It’s like a potent current of epic electronica is running underneath us. And it’s not an unpleasant feeling, truth be told. FELICIA is dressed in black and sparkling red, the colours of a Black Widow - which is incidentally the name of her debut single, if you’re on the hunt for more FELICIA bops. It ain’t the black and red number you saw at Melodifestivalen, however; her outfit’s had a system upgrade! The performance opens with FELICIA getting the wind-machine treatment, parting a cloud of smoke and revealing the Swedish singer standing on stage. Well, revealing her as much as one can behind that mask. And yes, Tuesday night viewers are going to get to enjoy that thrilling switch-out of masks near the end of the song. Accompanied by GIANT FELICIA climbing out of the screens and into the audience. It's still a total gag, no matter how many times you've seen it. As with the Melodifestivalen-winning performance from March, FELICIA is engulfed in lasers throughout. Lots of 'em. But new for Vienna is some interaction! During the second verse we get to see FIGHTER FELICIA literally battling away lasers with her bare hands, before she tames them into doing her bidding. Before long those lasers are framing her poses so that she can look extra stun for audiences at home. This diva knows her lighting. --------------------------------------- 12:35 - Stationed for the Croatian nation There’s just something about being in the presence of the LELEK ladies singing in unison. It changes you. We may never be the same again 🥵 Not long into their performance of Andromeda, we get a stunning shot that really makes use of the catwalk leading from the Green Room up to the stage (and it’s the first time viewers will get to see the catwalk element properly pop). It serves as a dramatic presentation of the Croatian group, giving their arrival to the Eurovision stage the majesty it deserves. LELEK fans will know from their Dora-winning performance that the band LOVE a robe ensemble. The striking fashion choice returns for Vienna, but this time they’ve woven a deep blood-red colour into their scheme. It’s a chilling visual and therefore a superb stylistic choice for a song teeming with this much drama. The ladies aren’t doing all the legwork, however. The screen behind them plays a big role in the telling of their story. It takes the viewer from a mystical cave to an enchanting forest, closing the performance by pulling us through a wormhole at such high speed, it feels like a time warp we have no choice but to travel through. Can that time warp take us back 30 minutes please?... We wanna watch those three run-throughs again! --------------------------------------- 13:00 - Ferto fun for all coming up Everyone has had a well-deserved break, but we're all back in the arena now. Another rehearsal? Ferto! A new performer to see? Ferto! Akylas from Greece? Su léo ferto!!! He's about to take the stage for the first time 🇬🇷 --------------------------------------- 13:35 - Hey kitty kats 😸 Is this real life? We’ve just been taken right inside a video game. And we’re legit winning 🎮 🕹️ 👾 Akylas is taking the Eurovision Song Contest from Arcade to arcade games! This game creates multiple illusions for the viewer and, in it, Akylas wants to introduce you to some new characters. But we’ll let him tell you more about them on Tuesday 12 May… Our Greek hero Akylas turns into a tiger on that Wiener Stadthalle stage. Not least because he’s dressed stylishly in an orange and black palette. The furry boots are out in force, as is the cutie kitty-kat hat with the lil’ ears. No Eurovision fancy-dress party is ever gonna be without one. And Ferto is certain to be a dance floor staple at those parties for at least another 70 years. Just when the audience thinks they are getting to know Akylas, everything changes. He stops, removes his funky shades, steps out of character and addresses his mother in an emotional display. Mommies everywhere are gonna love this. Daddies, too. --------------------------------------- 14:10 - Time to look at the world through Rosa**-tinted glasses 🌹** Portugal’s staging commences with a continuous shot that pans through the lineup of Bandidos do Cante singing to their audience. It’s like a Wall of Song - if the video game theme from the entry before them had continued into this one, then the Portuguese Wall of Song would be a proper ‘final boss’ moment! Like a lineup of football players singing their national anthem before a trophy-deciding match, you can tell that Bandidos do Cante are just as proud to be showcasing their beloved Cante Alentejano genre as the world watches. In Rosa, they’re not just performing in the genre, they’re telling the listener about it, too. If you watched the boys’ performance from Portugal’s Festival da Canção, then you’ll remember that they are momentarily joined by a sixth member! Their violinist is back and contributing a magical moment to proceedings, enhancing the soothing tone that’s already been set by the band. Bandidos do Cante give the First Half of the First Semi-Final a change of beat, which many viewers will no doubt appreciate. The performance ends with the visuals on the screen behind the band springing into life. This is when Rosa blooms, literally and figuratively speaking. And there’s not a thorn in sight. --------------------------------------- 14:15 - BREAKING! 🚨 No, literally, we're going for a break It's lunchtime. And we're gonna need to be on a high-energy bzzzz for Georgia. Not to mention the fire we'll need for Finland! 🔥 See you shortly xoxo --------------------------------------- 15:15 - Ready for replay Shall we talk about the stage? One thing we mentioned in the LELEK write-up was the catwalk element. It runs all the way from centre-stage to a double set of steps leading right up to the Green Room. It ends up splitting the arena completely into two halves. If you enter one side of the floor, you won't be able to pass into the other. One of our favourite things about the Live Shows in recent years has been the camaraderie we’ve seen going on between the artists in the Green Room. Everyone is rooting for one another! With this set-up, the performers are going to be able to strut down the catwalk, look up and see all of their new besties cheering them on. And that’s such a wholesome thought 🥹 Back to Day 1 rehearsals and Georgia are up next. We're gonna watch their song On Replay. Well, for three run-throughs, anyway. --------------------------------------- 15:50 - Don't. Think. Let. Go! It’s the stuff of dreams. Bzikebi representing Georgia at the grown-up Eurovision Song Contest - and they’re dressed fully in black and yellow 🐝🐝🐝 The talented trio are proud to pay homage to the big buzzzz around their Junior Eurovision beginnings and their outfits are a cute Easter eggs for longtime fans. Their hornet-themed high fashion has understandably had quite the glow-up since that Junior victory back in 2008. We’re at Vienna 2026, but Bzikebi look like they’ve come to us from some decades in the future. Yellow catsuits cinched in with black-striped PVC. It’s giving superhero, which is fitting really, because Bzikebi are our very own connecters of the ESC and JESC multiverse. But wait… there’s more! More Bzikebi, that is. Performing behind the Georgian group is a second iteration of the trophy-winning trio. Meet CYBORG BZIKEBI! They may look intimidating (don’t stare into those eyes for too long), but they’re here to help our Bzikebi babes. These cyborg overlords are surging the popstars with power. And with great power comes great… lasers! The laser show on display here is electrifying. Bzikebi weren’t lying when they said they were gonna “la, la, la light it up”. --------------------------------------- 16:40 - He's ready to sing and she's ready to string 🎤 🎻 Have you been likin' Liekinheitin? Linda Lampenius stands alone on the deserted stage of what was once an orchestra. Now, it’s been littered with the overturned chairs and sheet-music stands of Linda’s former musician colleagues. But what could possibly have happened here? Shall we head to the confessional box to find out? There, we find Pete Parkkonen, and he’s been in touch with the wardrobe department for an outfit upgrade. In the confessional box, Pete has got some things he’d like to get off his chest - and this all-new open top of his is gonna make that an easy-breezy process. It’s not just Pete who’s had an appointment with the Tampere tailors. Linda Lampenius has lightened her colour palette! Her dress, while structurally similar to what you’ll have seen at the Finnish pre-selection UMK, is now a striking silver. It makes her slow descent towards the burning confessional box even more otherworldly to the eye. And it’s difficult to look away - both performers are emanating star power so brightly here. The staging for Liekinheitin has turned the Eurovision Song Contest into an Olympic sport, with silver-clad Linda Lampenius going for gold in the sprinting category. When the camera pans away from her towards the big climax of the song, the audience at the Wiener Stadthalle will be able to watch as our heroic violinist races towards the back of the stage to be reunited with her duet partner. There, she’s lifted up onto the abandoned orchestra seating for a final showdown with Pete. It brings him to his knees and the set goes up in flames, destroying all evidence! --------------------------------------- 16:50 - Now it's your turn! We just had our big finish with the Finnish! Linda Lampenius x Pete Parkkonen were the last act to rehearse for Day 1. Social media guy has some social media stuff to do, but I'm sticking around here for a little while too. Ask me some questions in the comments below and I'll see what I can answer. --------------------------------------- 17:30 - What to look forward to tomorrow What a day. What a tonne of top-tier tunes. What a load of lasers. We'll be back tomorrow morning at 10:00 CEST sharp ⏰ And we've got all this to look forward to: 🇲🇪 Montenegro: Tamara Živković - Nova Zora 🇪🇪 Estonia: Vanilla Ninja - Too Epic To Be True 🇮🇱 Israel: Noam Bettan - Michelle 🇧🇪 Belgium: ESSYLA - Dancing on the Ice 🇱🇹 Lithuania: Lion Ceccah - Sólo Quiero Más 🇸🇲 San Marino: SENHIT - Superstar 🇵🇱 Poland: ALICJA - Pray 🇷🇸 Serbia: LAVINA - Kraj Mene We'll also be posting some First Look Photos from today's rehearsals, so that you can finally get to see a glimpse of how things will look. Oh, and mark your diaries for 10:00 CEST on Monday, too. What are the "cool girls" in your life wearing so far this spring?
I noticed that all the hip young women at my work are all wearing midi dresses this spring, no more knee-length dresses anywhere, and hardly a maxi. Same thing at a fancy cocktail attire wedding I went to - all the hip young "hot" girls were wearing midi length slinky slip dresses with a slit, whereas in the past at such an event I'd have seen more mini dresses. And of course for casual wear - wide leg pants or jeans with a boxy white tee or something with some minimal sneakers. A tiered flowy white cotton skirt for casual/dressy. Those seem to be the "uniforms" I'm seeing all the people in my life at work, among friends, family, on the street, etc., who are the type of people who always look put together and fashionable. It's weird that I haven't seen midi length very highlighted in any 2026 spring/summer content I've been looking for. I'm so sick of videos and articles and stuff that just look like they are rehashing fashion shows. I like content that feels like a cool older sister is showing you her actual closet. I like Anna Reid the best for this - she tries the stuff on how she would actually wear it out in the world, shows a bunch of street style pics in the real world, shows of a bunch of outfits relatively quickly, but the Youtube videos are long enough to enjoy, etc. I wish I could find more content like hers. What are you seeing the "cool girls" in your life or on the street wearing for spring? submitted by /u/IncognitoResearch111 to r/femalefashionadvice [link] [comments]

The month before the Summer, a relaxing hot spring season... and then bam! A surprise EX Masterfair! Review of Rate UP characters in May 2026
TLDR for this month's new sync pairs, in order: Drayton & Archaludon: EX Pokefair Dragon Tech with EXR Special Striker whose passives lets him inflict Special Break on enemies and summon Dragon Zone, and can summon Special Paldea circle. B-Move deals more damage to paralyzed opponents! Sygna Suit Kieran & Furret: EX Masterfair Special Ice Striker with EXR Sprint! He can not only auto set Paldea Circle, but also summon Ice Zone, and his B-Move gives Special Break! Rika & Great Tusk: Variety Ground Field user, can summon EX Ground Zone. Poppy & Iron Treads: Variety Steel Field user, very notable for summoning EX Steel Zone. Has respectable damage. Larry (Special Costume 2) & Komala: SC Normal Field with EXR Support user who can summon EX Normal Zone. Even though his pokemon gets a permanent Sleep condition, his passives lets him use moves, and grants Sleep immunity to all allies. Flannery (Special Costume) & Magcargo: At last, Flannery debuts with a new alt! Tera Fire Sprint with EXR Special Striker whose passive lets her multiply her Tera attack by 10 times at start. Mix Hau & Incineroar: Dark Field user with EXR Physical Strike, respectable Mix unit. Welcome back to this month's edition of reviewing the sync pairs. It looks like this one is very early. I know next week is Golden Week in Japan, but we were expecting that we might have to wait way longer. In truth, I'm relieved that we can get this month over with, April was rather boring with the Academy reruns. Sigh... That being said however it seems like there's going to be a trend of Golden Week having a premium character - to my surprise this time it's Kieran in a Sygna Suit outfit. But first things first, let's welcome our new guest, shall we? Drayton & Archaludon Drayton seems laid-back and unserious, but don't be deceived by his appearance - he's the grandson of Drayden, so when he battles, he becomes a very serious individual. (By the way, Drayden is also finally appearing in the game, but he's only a NPC. Whyyy) Anyways, he debuts in a new EX Pokefair banner as Tech Dragon character with EXR Special Striker. His ace is normally Steel-Dragon, but his Tera lets him become Dragon. His passive lets his Paralyze status move, Thunder Wave, not only inflict Special Break, but also summon Dragon Zone, both first-time. The first passive lets him Terastallize on entry, not only raising his offense stats, but also summoning Special Paldea Circle, which activates the second passive to give all allies 1 SMUN. His main attack is his Sapphire Tera Blast, which inflict a random status interference, and if he has MP on his circle, he uses it to give aforementioned circle and restore 1 MP of his B-Move. His B-Move, Steel Flash Dragon Pulse, deals damage to all, never misses, doesn't lose power, and lowers their Special Defense by 2 ranks. Also, if the target is paralyzed, the power is boosted by 50%. His TM allows him to give 5 SMUN to an ally as well as Enduring effect. Finally, his sync will increase damage against a paralyzed enemy. In his grid, at 3/5 he has Foul Fighting 3, Soften Up 1, can take Circle Extension, and can take self Circle: S-Moves 9. At 4/5 he can boost all allies' damage in Dragon Zone and Team Circle: S Moves 3. At 5/5 the most important part is being able to summon extended Dragon Zone on sync. His 10/5 is not particularily worth mentioning imo. Recommended sync pairs: Considering he is able to summon Dragon Zone, despite being a Tech user he pairs well with Hassel who can set EX Dragon Zone. Him being Special means he probably replaces SS Serena's spot for understandable reasons. The 3rd slot is... abymsal, it's either SS Brendan or NY 2026 Lana. He's 7.5/10 or 8/10 individually imo, but why are the other partners so awkward in terms of options? Anyways, after him comes a new premium unit for Golden Week - it seems like there's a new trend of each year having a new premium unit each Golden Week. Last year, we got Arc Alder for said week, so this week, I present you... Sygna Suit Kieran & Furret It didn't take this long for him to follow after the previous partners. Carmine got her Sygna Suit, the Paldean MCs got their anniversary outfits. So it's natural that this time, Kieran debuts in a new EX Masterfair banner, wearing his Sygna Suit outfit with Furret! He's finally ready to show to everyone that Pokemon battles ain't just about winning or losing! Normally, Furret is a Normal type pokemon, but with Tera, SS Kieran debuts as Ice Special Striker character with EXR Sprint! His Masterfair passive emboldens his willpower, and has Sure Hit passive. He debuts with Ice Tera, changing to a passive that maxes out his offense stats and summons Special Paldea circle. With his circle, he can do the following: - upon using circle, summons Ice Zone, give 2 SyCDR and 2 SyMUN; - on sync, consume 1 MP to summon it and gives himself 2 SMUN and 1 SMUN to other allies. His Ice Beam move can be used once per sync: it deals very high damage to an enemy and gives 3 SyMUN to himself. His B-Move can be used once per battle and activates after a sync. It never misses during a hailstorm, freezes all, has expanded attack, and inflict Special Move Break to them. Best used when stacking a lot of SMUNs. His TM gives himself 3 SMUN, 5 SyMUN and gives Enduring. The main method of attack is his Ice Tera attack, which lowers the target's Sp. Defense and is expanded / doesn't lose power in AoE. At 3/5 he has Furious Brain, confusion chance grid, Brainpower, and can take Sure Crit grid for all his moves. Advancing him to 4/5 will allow him to extend Ice Zone and Special Paldea Circle. Advancing him to 5/5 will allow him to use his TM twice. Recommended sync pairs: SS Kieran being able to summon Ice Zone makes him good to pair with NC Hilbert to keep EX Ice Zone up. Personally, 8.5/10, I'm saying this as a Red fan. It feels like he's missing something though, because usually 5/5 is a capstone but the fact that it gives him just one more TM usage does feel underwhelming For support, Irida would let the ice team keep uptime on EX Ice Zone, but if you have an invested SS Kieran and/or NC Hilbert for extended the initial EX Ice Zone, then it is better to place Grusha instead, as well as to take advantage of the Paldea circle and EX MF passive. Larry (Special Costume 2) & Komala Later in the month, we'll get a new event that features two new guests... once again, it's Larry. However, with him comes a surprise in the form of Flannery getting an alt. Gosh. Larry takes a break once again, and this time he brings a Komala with him. It's hard to get tired of him relaxing in a hot spring... Considering his popularity, it wouldn't be a shock if he got an EX Masterfair variant in future. Anyways, this time, he debuts as Field Normal character with EXR Support. His passive... is interesting. According to Pokedex, Komala spends its entire life sleeping, and it dies asleep. A little omnious. Getting to point: his Pokemon enters the battle with a permanent sleep condition that cannot be removed, however they can still attack and it also ignores the gauge speed reduction from Sleep condition, so SC2 Larry is a bit like Summer Cynthia in terms of status condition. His Tera passive also grants sleep immunity to all allies, and his attacks will inflict Sleep condition on enemies. Also, his second passive makes him buff all allies' SMUN when an ally summons Normal Zone. His B-Move, Relaxed Charm, lowers all enemies' Attack by 3 ranks, increases all allies' SMUN by 2 and summons Paldea Special Circle. His TM gives slight sync accel and sharply raises both offense stats and critical. His Tera move is Special Normal move. It lowers an enemy's Sp. Defense and Accuracy by 2 ranks, and the first usage summons an EX Normal Zone. At 3/5 he has Dirty Fighting 3, Free Move Next under circle, circle extension, Brainpower, Team S-Moves 3 and Normal Zone Extension 3. Recommended sync pairs: If it wasn't obvious... he's to be paired with Anniversary Juliana, whose repeated Normal Zone summons and extensions on investment makes the zone last long. It's way more than enough with both her and SC2 Larry. Gym Whitney has some relevancy since her EXR is Field, but the presence of EX Normal Zone elevates Mai, a normal Support who can also summon multiple Normal Zone. Personally, I rate him to be 8.5/10. He is certainly a good highlight if you have Anniversary Juliana and Mai, and you want to enhance Normal team even further, but you have to consider if you want SS Kieran or wait for June, because there is a chance of a new Arceus Cup chapter in June. Flannery (Special Costume) & Magcargo A round of applause to those Flannery is in order! After 6.5 years, at last she debuts her first limited alt with a new outfit! Remember that event from a long time ago where people picked which units should get their first alts? Now it's fully complete with her presence. She joins Larry in sharing the hot spring experience. Her challenge is aimed at enthusiasts. Interestingly, she has learned the art of Terastallizing. This time, she's a Sprint with EXR Special Striker character whose passive lets her debut with an extended Sun weather, and she has Soften Up 1. Her Tera passives boosts offense stats, gives SEUN and 2 SMUN. Interestingly enough, her Tera move not only inflicts Special Break and gives 3 SyCDR first time, but also has its power multiplied by ten times if it's used and the team hasn't had a Sync Buff nor has it been used more than 2 times. Afterwards, it will give Free Move Next. It seems like the devs' solution to Sprint users so far seem to be making them able to deal immense damage on entry, which is an interesting concept. I just wonder how good it's going to be. Her B-Move, Thermal Inferno, is single target and inflicts Burn without missing. His TM is a bit supportive in nature, as it heals an ally by 40% HP, grants Damage Guard and Enduring effect. Finally, her sync move's power increases with higher Sp. Attack buffs. In her grid, at 3/5 she can make her Fire Spin trap all opponents, has 2 SMUN while 0 Sync Buff, Solar Flare 9. Not too noteworthy. Recommended sync pairs: She's probably not the best user to be positioned with Arc Suit Silver, as she does not have any other source of extending Sun, unless the third slot is with someone that can keep EX Sun uptime like SS Morty. Also, the fire type roster is rather saturated as hell... I'm tentatively giving her 6.5/10. Her kit design of having insane damage at start is at least slightly better executed compared to Academy Perrin, who I would give no more than 4/10 and that's despite her being Physical Flying. (...maybe 4/10 is too generous? How about 2/10?) Here are other notable sync pairs or things for this month: Rika & Great Tusk: Not much to say here. To be honest, she is a bit of 6/10 for me, it depends if you want to hyperspecialize a bit in Physical Ground, but if you have Variety N, she's not going to be a huge change for your team. We should probably be glad that Arc Cynthia's 5/5 can set Ground Zone every sync... Poppy & Iron Treads: Another Variety unit. She brings along EX Steel Zone. With her and SC2 Larry, we finally have all EX WTZ in the game now! Anyways, she's a 8/10, her kit is not too different from the likes of Variety Unova trio, her TM having SMUN 3 though means SS Lear supremacy, and she can pair well with Academy Sonia. But... oh no... Arc Stevenbros, I don't feel good about being replaced... Lodge Emmet: Not much to say, but he can be nice f2p pair for giving interference, especially in Tower. No rating, he is free. Mix Hau: Hau debuts in a new Mix variant with Incineroar, turning to the Dark side... His AoE move is actually really strong and a solid alternative if you don't want to invest in Giacomo, as he functions like Mix Elio but Dark-type. 7.5/10. SS Lusamine 5/5: Sprint 3 + max crit at 4/5, SMUN 5 on sync at 5/5. Actually a very respectable upgrade, as it makes her a bit more bursty which may be of further help if you have Arc Sabrina. NC Cheren 5/5: PMUN/SMUN 1 on attack and sync at 4/5, Strong Start 5 at 5/5. The capstone is the most boring thing ever, his 4/5 does boost his damage in a decent manner though and makes his build-up faster. Overall good but could be better. SST Red 5/5: His 4/5 is a little underwhelming, it's Headstart 2 and NOT 3 which would have been really neat. His 5/5 is fairly interesting, but there is only so many times you can summon Electric Terrain. He could have gotten something better, but it's whatever, I can just wait for Arc Suit Red next time. Perrin & Mai EX PF Rerun: We have our first EX PF reruns in Perrin and Mai, and it's a duo rerun. I'm curious what are the rates going to be. Perrin remains a very strong pick up and has its value boosted thanks to the shirtless guy that is Arc Suit Brock, so if you want to solidify your Rock roster, it is a good time. Moreover, Mai's value has been greatly boosted by SC2 Larry being able to summon EX Normal Zone, allowing both of them to drive their Normal-type MDPS units. If you have any spare gems, consider picking this banner up. By the way... if Academy Perrin was at most 4/10, her base version is still a 10/10, especially since she is very functional at 1/5, while for Mai it's 9/10, there are a few alternatives though of course. Paldea Master Fair Tiered Select: New Tiered masterfair it seems. It's probably because of heavily pushing the new special Paldea CS, which will have extra parameters aimed at using Paldean units. Just know this following: Florian is very solid if not considering Red96, Juliana is fine but is aging a bit, Geeta remains a solid physical partner for Anni Irida, Kieran is actually good to pair with Arc Suit Korrina. SS Nemona? Ugh, don't tell me about her. Anyways, that is all for this month's datamine. Please let me know if you have any thoughts, or want to correct something. Surprise datamine today so I might not have been as focused x.x. It's a shame though, I got Perrin from mix banner, but it also means I can skip the duo banner and focus on saving gems for June. There is 90%+ going to be a new Arceus Cup chapter, and one would really hope it's going to be Diantha. submitted by /u/AntonioS3 to r/PokemonMasters [link] [comments]

The Black Ribbon's Spring 2026 Lucky Pack
I wanted to share my experience with The Black Ribbon's Spring 2026 Lucky Pack. This Lucky Pack was advertised as being back stock clearance and was made with some of the last items that TBR had in stock before tariffs impacted their pricing. Rating: Value: 4/5 The pack was advertised as containing a plain black skirt, a cutsew, a strawberry apron, OTKs, an accessory, and an enamel pin. The pack's base price was 140$, and with shipping that came out to be 170$. All in all a great deal for the price! My only small complaint is that the bow is a bit small to be an accessory. Even without the bow though, the pack is a great value. Quality: 4/5 I've been a TBR fan for a long time specifically for the quality, and they didn't disappoint here either. The skirt is a light, linen feel fabric that will be great for summer! I was delighted to find that the skirt does have pockets like a lot of TBR's other releases. The apron looks and feels great! the embroidery is high quality and well stitched, and the apron fabric is a thick cotton-poly blend (based on feel). The cutsew feels lightweight and nice for summer as well, although the fabric is a bit thin. I will likely need to wear an undershirt with it. that being said I know it's hard to do a white jersey fabric that doesn't require an undershirt and that it would be a lot more expensive to make if TBR had gone that route. Cohesiveness: 3/5 TBR marketed this as a clearance pack vs. an outfit pack and I think that was accurate. These pieces don't come together to make a full coord, but you definitely can mix and match a few. I think the skirt would go very well with the OTKs or the cutsew depending on how you made the rest of your coord. Pieces like the strawberry apron don't really match here, but I think it's a versatile piece that could fit pretty well into an average sweet wardrobe. Overall: 4/5 I would definitely buy this again and I'll keep an eye out for more TBR Luck Packs! submitted by /u/M0richild to r/Lolita [link] [comments]

Red Hot Liu Yu Ning | Butteflies, Bubbles, and a Dream | Jiangsu Spring Festival Gala 2026
Butterflies, Bubbles, and a Dream Over the past 48 hours we've been blessed with lots of content on LYN Studio Weibo and we've been spacing it out a bit not to overwhelm the community all at once. Let's revisit his outfit and photoshoot from his Say Your Name Ten Thousand Times performance for the Jiangsu Spring Festival Gala. ____ Now, I must say I am a big fan of this red outfit, he always looks dashing in long coats... and his hairstyle - the spiky slightly messy hair — is totally a manhua touch that works super well on him. In the second picture, the way it was shot makes it look like the wings belong to him — what a vision. Utter perfection. His face and expression in the 3rd picture could make Antarctica melt. The "paper-cut" horse in picture 5 has already been covered in previous comments, and some have agreed the horse is luckier than us. The sixth & eight pictures show Yu Ning in his full glory. One can't get much closer to perfection than him here. I also really enjoy the half-face close-ups that follow. Pictures 10 & 11 are from an angle I have seen before, but one that always startles me because it somehow doesn't really look like him — I always wonder if that's the editing. 7 & 12 are simply out to get us. Then 14-16 show us our favorite Mr Not A Cat, a gorgeous man with no makeup, rehearsal time, in the cozy sweater I have a weakness for. And the bubbles... I really feel like the bubbles during the show were a subtle yet important touch — one that made the performance move away from ordinary, into the realm where dreams are made. Like the dream in which he calls her name ten thousand times. But she's not coming back. Butterflies, bubbles... they all float away. The fleeting dream that once was and which he keeps coming back to — is just like those bubbles and butterflies that accompanied him for this performance. Splendid. Something we want to hold on to, yet painfully ephemeral. Colorado Bassist Has Been in ICE Custody for Over a Month
Link: https://www.westword.com/music/denver-bassist-has-been-in-ice-custody-for-nearly-a-month-40832399/ As the Trump administration’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids continue across the country, Colorado has remained a lesser-known hotspot for the federal agency’s aggressive operations. Weeks after ICE agents in Minneapolis shot and killed Colorado-born protester Renee Good (and now, Alex Pretti, whose parents live in Arvada) the Aurora ICE Detention Center remains nearly full, with well over 1,000 individuals in custody, many of whom were taken the week of Christmas. That number includes Marcos Flores, the bassist for local shoegaze outfit Summer of Peril, who was detained by ICE in Colorado Springs just days before the holiday. While his abduction is still being investigated by Colorado’s ACLU chapter, Westword has been in contact with Flores’s lawyer, Kristi Englekirk, as band members, friends and family have rallied to demand his release from ICE custody. Flores was detained on December 23 while picking up a new visitor’s badge in order to perform contract work at the Colorado Springs Air Force Academy, where ICE was waiting for him. According to Englekirk, it’s still unclear how ICE received information about Flores. Englekirk says Flores is from Mexico but was brought to the U.S. as a young child, early enough that he doesn’t even remember Mexico or being brought to this country. After he was taken into ICE custody, Flores’s band and family launched a GoFundMe page calling for his release, and the fundraiser garnered nearly $30,000 for legal fees in just a couple of weeks. Flores had an initial bond hearing on January 16, when 34 friends and family members showed up to support him. Unexpectedly, the court only let two people into the courtroom, although the group had verified in advance that they would be allowed to witness the hearing. Englekirk says a federal policy guidance memo went out just two days before Flores’s hearing, reversing an order in class-action case Maldonado Bautista v. Santacruz that held that the government was unlawfully subjecting detainees to no-bond detentions. She says the memo, which came down from Chief Immigration Judge Teresa L. Riley, directly affected Flores’s case. As a result, his bond request was immediately denied without any explanation provided by the judge; the ruling means that Flores will have to remain in custody until his case is litigated. “We filed a ton of evidence. He has a ton of community support. He’s got great equities,” Englekirk says of Flores’s denied bond request. “It feels very unfair that he is in this situation, and that a lot of people are in this situation, because people have been getting bonds in this situation for decades. And it just feels like they’re just under marching orders and trying to find any way they can to deny people and deport people.” Flores’s lawyer is preparing a lawsuit against the federal government in response to the ruling. Even as Flores is held in Aurora, the GEO Group, the private prison firm managing the Aurora ICE Detention Center, is planning operations at a new detention facility in Hudson, according to documents obtained by the ACLU. According to the Denver Post, the Adams County Health Department is investigating the Aurora ICE facility over “multiple reports about possible gastrointestinal and respiratory illness.” The report also highlighted overcrowded housing pods; Englekirk estimates that close to 1,700 people may currently be in custody in Aurora. Some have been unable to show up to their hearings due to illness. Earlier this month, an ICE report claimed there were 1,153 in custody at the detention center, of which 828 were labeled noncriminal detainees. Flores doesn’t have a criminal record, says Summer of Peril frontman Alex Forbes, “not even so much as a traffic violation.” Forbes describes Flores as a “ray of sunshine” who “makes the best of every situation,” including the current one. “He seems to be holding it together, honestly, better than a lot of friends and family,” he adds. With the ongoing stress of a bandmate detained by ICE, Forbes says that Summer of Peril had made the tough decision to cancel a tour to El Paso the band had booked for fall, owing to fears over Flores’s safety. “That was another very, very frustrating thing: just the fact that another thing about Marcos is how hard-working and honest he is,” Forbes explains. “Something that I put in his character reference was how much he embodies…the traditional American values of integrity and honesty and hard work.” Forbes and other close friends threw a benefit show for Flores on January 9 at the Black Sheep in Colorado Springs. The bill featured Anaideia, Tunnel Jumper, Playn for Keeps, Cortez, Lucked Out and Bangalore; the latter two also feature members of Summer of Peril. Forbes describes the atmosphere of the benefit show as “insane” and “very positive,” noting that attendees exuded a deep concern for Flores. He also says they tried to keep it hyper-focused on Flores, rather than “getting people riled up over politics” — even though many in the audience shared the same frustrations and sentiments about the situation. “There was a lot of energy. You could feel it in the crowd,” Forbes says. “It was very, very overwhelming, but in a good way.” The bill was hand-picked, featuring people and bands Flores admires within the scene. “We tried to stick with the bands that Marcos really had a lot of respect and admiration for,” Forbes notes. The concert raised $4,360 for Flores’s legal fees; Forbes says he’s working on setting up another benefit show next month. Additionally, Forbes says he and Summer of Peril guitarist Matt Lopez have kept Flores’s phone fully funded so community members can talk to him regularly. Close friends and family have also put together a visitation schedule for Flores on Google Docs, so individuals can sign up to go see him in person, albeit through glass and over a pay phone. submitted by /u/Party-Belt-3624 to r/Bass [link] [comments]
