State Farm Layoff Plan
Are you apart of the State Farm Exit funnel? This is a corporate strategy that is used to have employees leave without requiring "layoffs". Volunteer Exit Plan- creates a "one and done" payment method (has been shown to help get older employees with retirement benefits, out of the system). One lump sum payment and then you can not collect unemployment. Quiet Firing, creating stricter and more difficult working environments so that it encourages to leave or letting go due to not keeping up with the workload. This is the unspoken competition with your peers. If your role has new tougher standards and you're getting an action plan memo or drop file, you may be apart of this. The goal is that the top employees make it to the next phase and if your not a top performer, you are let go legally. No unemployment, they make it look like it's your fault for not keeping up with expectations. Constructive Discharge. This is similar to above but this time is all about creating an uncomfortable environment. Are they pushing to move you where you go from hybrid working from home and coming in one week a month to needing to go in significantly more, various hours, and it is more difficult position? Typically a customer/agent facing or interaction role like claims.Often, this sounds like an employer is trying to sound like a good employer aka "We're realigning people so they keep their job." Meanwhile, bpo's are taking over. They are hiring other employees from outside this country (reportedly) in order to reduce cost or make it easier to remove them when positions are removed for automation. If they cared about keeping employees, why would they make such an effort to get rid of them? When all else fails, they will bite the bullet and let you go. This comes as a last effort opportunity when the profits or automation matters more than you, you will be fired. This comes with unemployment fees and possibility of lawsuits. Everything mentioned today is speculative, but if it talks like a duck, walks like a duck.... then maybe it's a duck. Are you being effected by the changes happening? State Farm Agent Input
I’m pitching moving a friend’s coverage from State Farm to Pure for Home, Auto, Umbrella and Collections. It’s a high value home with a $10m umbrella and Pure is a better fit for several reasons. The one issue is there is a secondary residence that is also insured by State Farm. Pure will cover it, but the premium is $5k with State Farm and would go to close to $10k with Pure due to fire response issues. He’s wanting to leave the secondary residence with State Farm and move everything else to Pure. State Farm agents - will State Farm continue to insure the secondary residence only? I don’t want him being non renewed. Appreciate any insight… submitted by /u/Kosmo9333 to r/InsuranceAgent [link] [comments]

Is this a good State Farm commission structure?
I’m newer to insurance sales in Arizona working for a captive agency (State Farm) and recently finally got clarity on our commission structure. Took forever to actually get an answer on structure seems like office transparency isn’t the best. Base pay is $18/hr and commission is based on monthly written premium: $28k = 4% $35.4k = 5% $42.8k = 6% $50.2k = 7% $57.6k = 8% $65k = 9% For context, my average production right now is probably around 12–13k monthly premium, with my best month around 24k. Not entirely sure if that’s good or if i suck at my job 😅 I’m trying to figure out if this is considered: - good, - average, - or difficult to realistically hit consistently in captive personal lines. I appreciate any feedback thank you! submitted by /u/The-Italian-Pony to r/InsuranceAgent [link] [comments]

Thoughts on the Convention Announcements?
Curious to hear everybody’s thoughts about the convention news yesterday. Do you think the future of being a State Farm agent is less attractive now? Do you think with active management and consistent life and financial services sales, They’ll be minor changes to what you’re doing already? People were calling this a “purge” on agents, which I personally disagree with, but curious to hear everybody’s thoughts! submitted by /u/MinutePosition2282 to r/StateFarm [link] [comments]

State Farm Team Members - advice needed!
For context, I joined my last agency in October. Welcoming environment despite me and the majority of the other sales team members working remotely, we had clear goals every month and my manager was very responsive when it came to questions, training, numbers, etc etc. I was mostly writing autos, homes, term life, and a handful of PAPs, still making good commission just on that. My agent accepted a sales leader role and basically us sales team members were pushed out the door to other agencies. I accepted a remote position with an agency that was offering me a $3k higher base salary with a tiered commission level, aka you make a minimum amount of sales a month (15 autos, 10 fire, etc) before you unlock commission. I was doing about that much at my old office and the new agent was basically like, you’ll have no problem hitting those numbers. Three weeks in, I haven’t made a single sale other than 3 renters that auto-issued. I had no training or onboarding at all, I had one 30-min phone call on my first day with my new agent where she was like, here’s a few campaigns, here’s this old team member’s tasks, have at it. Vast majority of the people on those lists haven’t been quoted in years, have no up to date contact info, are in ineligible areas, etc. My old agent bought at least 4 leads for me specifically every day. My new agent doesn’t buy any. I get inconsistent SF leads and that’s it. The vast majority of sales I’m told (by the other sales team members who finally i asked to teams call with because nobody else in the office had spoken to me) are conducted in-office, so as a remote team member I don’t get any of those. As far as I know call-ins are also a “if you happen to answer the phone” kind of situation, nobody’s passed me over anything so far. I don’t know how I’m supposed to make the minimum sales to even GET a commission, much less get a decent one. My new agent knows how new I am to the industry and promised to train me, havent heard anything yet from her. I will message her and she will go days between responses if she responds at all. She’s barely in the office anyway and I don’t have a manager overseeing me. It genuinely feels like my agent forgot she hired me. I’m in talks to join another agency in October but somehow I have to make it through at least the next few months here, where no one talks to me and honestly acts annoyed when I reach out to them. I’m living off a single income and I’m moving in two months. I cannot survive on a 30k base salary, and I want more experience and training so I can be successful but it is like pulling teeth to get anyone at this office to even speak to me let alone teach me anything. I know I need to get out, I’m planning on it, but how can I survive in the meantime? submitted by /u/magicvolley to r/InsuranceAgent [link] [comments]

Thoroughly disgusted with State Farm!
Please forgive me ahead of time, I’m not sure of how to write all this, I’m pretty upset right now about what is happening, I don’t feel like this is right and I feel all alone in this, so please bear with me and I hope you’ll understand what’s going on….thanks in advance for reading this: So I paid off my mortgage on my house the first part of April, 2026, after 30 years, and it was also time to look around for some new insurance on my auto and home and I found some really good rates with State Farm and I had been with them in the past and had no issues until a rate increase a few years ago so I had changed to a different insurance company. Now, back to State Farm. I got signed up with a different agency and got my premiums set and paid the first month I was set up with auto pay and these premium amounts were for six months. They were a little bit higher than where I was before, but he said that was the best he could do. The agent told me that he needed to send out an adjuster(?) to take pictures of my roof since it had a little age on it and they needed to make sure that it was OK to include in the policy and he said he felt like everything would be just fine. My policy started on April 8 of 2026. It was several days later when I got a phone call from my agent and he was stammering and stuttering around saying that I had some “slight hail damage” and I would need to have a contractor/roofer take a look at it and put in an estimate of what they felt needed to be done to fix it and if they felt it didn’t even need anything then to write up a report saying that, and send it in. He said it may not even need anything, but he said it just showed “slight hail damage“ those were his exact words and he said this on the phone . I voiced my frustration because I am on disability and on a fixed income and I told him I just don’t have that kind of money for major repairs but I also stressed to him that I have no leaking, no visible damage that I can see, and IMO, my roof is in good condition, and he was more or less saying well that’s too bad. He also reiterated that I had “plenty of time” he said “6 months” to put in a report from a contractor and if my contractor said it didn’t need any work then they would accept it, and if it did need work, then said I had til July 5th to fix it or they would drop my policy. (6 months-July 5th? something is wrong with his math?) So I went to work making phone calls and I had a contractor come and take a look at it. He said he did see some minor hail damage on the front part of my roof, but on the back, it looked fine. I hadn’t even had a chance to make a return phone call to State Farm when I got an email from the agent, saying the only way they would overturn that decision would be a complete roof replacement and to “clean up the yard of vegetation” What??? trim bushes, clip some tiny vines off of where? I don’t know what he was referring to! I asked him to be more specific about what he meant in the yard and I got no response. I made the request in an email 2 more times, and still got no response. I mentioned this to several people and friends and they said there was nothing wrong with my yard. I felt like now they’re being nitpicky. And regarding the roof wanting a complete roof replacement now? I was extremely upset and I was thinking oh you changed your mind now? I mean, can they do this? and he was adamant he said the underwriters made that decision not him. He said he understood my frustration and he was sorry. So everything was getting worse by the minute I put in a claim to the former insurance company because I’ve only been with State Farm for 20+ days at that point and I really didn’t think they would even look at a claim so I’m waiting for the claim for the former insurance company. I’ve got an adjuster who is also working on this, as my contractor friend doesn’t do roof repairs. So on May 1, I received a letter from State Farm that was dated April 27, 2026 stating that they are not gonna send me my policy which I had requested, because they have decided they are not going to continue covering me after July 5, 2026 because of the need for a new roof and the excessive yard issues and it’s a lot of formal yada yada yada in this letter and if I have any questions I can contact my agent well, my agent doesn’t seem to want to talk to me about repairs and I haven’t even had a chance to get things rolling. It did say that if I put in a report from a licensed roofer stating what needed to be done and that it had to be done within 60 days. They would possibly consider reinstating my policy. I have absolutely no leaks. There are no shingles that are gone. There are no shingles that are lifting or visibly damaged to my eyes and to most people that have looked at it. I am waiting for a licensed roofer to come and write up their report, but they haven’t hardly given me a full week to do this and they’re already saying goodbye basically. since I’m on disability, I know I have a lot of rights in Illinois and I have been suggested to contact the IDOI and make a complaint I just wanna make this known and see if anybody else has been treated this way I didn’t even know I had any “slight hail damage“ I feel like State Farm is being jerks about this and even the main agent that is over my policy said “oh I’m from Decatur so I got your back”. Also, I told them that I preferred to communicate through email (because it creates a paper trail and I have that documentation), but they don’t seem to want to do that, well that’s too bad because they talk on the phone and they twist things around and they twist my words or they try to anyway, and the other agent already has lied to me first saying all I needed to do was repairs, and or submit a report if the roofer didn’t feel like I needed anything done and everything would be fine- that was said in a phone call and then he sends an email saying that it had to be a complete roof replacement. Oh, I am livid! And I just want everybody to know what they are doing. This is an agency out of Chicago and that’s who I was connected with when I called for rates to get new insurance. I am hoping and praying that the former insurance company will accept the claim they actually did say that they didn’t see a problem. I am going to be shopping around for a new insurance company, but my concern is will other insurance companies do the same thing to me? I sure hope not. Thanks for hanging in with me and reading this! submitted by /u/craftycatdiy to r/StateFarm [link] [comments]

Is this a good starting pay? (State Farm Insurance Sales Agent)
Hey guys, I am considering becoming an insurance sales agent and have made it through the interview process and I’ve been sent an offer. I want to know if this pay is good for the position and how much I should realistically expect to make my first year if I join. I am in the New York metropolitan area so any agents who also work in this area I’d especially appreciate your feedback. UPDATE: I reached out to the agent asking for the commission structure and he apologized and said it should have been sent with the original letter. I have uploaded the screenshots of the structure to an Imgur link. Please let me know what you guys think. https://imgur.com/a/p9hDpeo submitted by /u/Alxa23 to r/InsuranceAgent [link] [comments]

We bought a hidden 9-hole golf course next to State Farm Stadium (PHX) and turned the driving range into 32 TrackMan bays. AMA.
This whole project was scary. We’ve only done driving range rehabs. But now we’re taking the big leap to rehab a golf course too. Here’s the story: We bought a muni. It’s a public 9-hole in the west side of Phoenix called Desert Mirage. It’s in the shadow of State Farm Stadium (shout out Kyler Murray, shout out Call of Duty). The greens are legitimately in great shape. The golf course itself was just… unknown. Like, people who lived 5 minutes away had no idea it existed. That’s kind of what got us excited about it. The range situation… When we took it over it was a grass tee line. In Arizona. Which, candidly, is insane. You can’t use it half the year and you can’t regrow it without country club money. So we blew it up. 32 covered TrackMan bays. New poles and netting. Redid the pro shop. Redid the parking lot. The whole thing took about 4 months which was genuinely stupid fast in retrospect. Where we’re at now… The course still needs work. But we want to keep it crazy affordable. 9 holes with a cart is $32. It should be a family spot. Hang spot. We’re not trying to make it Augusta. The greens are great. We’re still working on fairways, tee boxes, sand traps — the small stuff that makes a big difference over time. Short game area is getting reworked too. Food and beverage is about 2 months out (licensing stuff). Once that’s in, the vibe really completes itself. Why I’m posting this… I’ve been lurking and posting in golf Reddit for over a decade. We’ve been documenting the whole build on YouTube and I genuinely want to know what people are curious about. What questions do you have about buying a golf course, the TrackMan buildout, running a driving range, the economics of a public 9-hole — whatever. I’m going to use the comment threads here to figure out what videos to make next. So don’t hold back. Video’s here if you want the full picture: https://youtu.be/PMLQK4D6AAs?si=yIim\_otcVsDICS5z Drop your questions below. CEO of State Farm just told workers they may be back in office more
I really wanted to take this job but was unsure with it being hybrid and having to drive so far to get to the office, when I know places like Allstate are remote, but now that they’re increasing in office time I will be searching for a new job. They do not pay enough for the wear and tear on my vehicle in addition to sitting in traffic both ways. Dropped by State Farm after one accident
I had a car accident earlier this year and State Farm is dropping me because of it. For context, I have no prior accidents, no points on my license, and amazing credit. Apparently, if you have an accident in the first 2 years of coverage with State Farm, they drop you no matter what. So, if you join State Farm, just don’t use your insurance and everything will be cool. Like a Bad Neighbor: The NBA Draft Was a Cringeworthy State Farm Infomercial
"It isn’t easy to convey the full extent of State Farm’s title sponsorship. In the arena, the fictional agent “Jake from State Farm” was treated like a legitimate celebrity, complete with red carpet, airtime, arena applause, and an oddly disquieting but spiritual presence. The most egregious offense? The signature chime sound—“the pick is in”—wasn’t the classic NBA chime. This year, they sold that to the highest bidder, and it became the State Farm jingle." https://www.mediaite.com/opinion/like-a-bad-neighbor-the-nba-draft-was-a-cringeworthy-state-farm-infomercial/ submitted by /u/coolbio to r/nba [link] [comments]
