For my father, who spent over 9,000 hours in FO4
The man in the first image is my father, John. He very recently passed away from lung cancer on March 28, 2026. Just a little over a week before he passed, he went to the ER, where we learned he had cancer in his left lung that had already spread to his liver and colon. It all happened so fast. Prior to this, he had health issues that kept him from working so, he played his favorite game. My dad poured over 9,000 hours into Fallout 4 and more than 1,200 hours into New Vegas. But what he loved most about Fallout 4 wasn’t just the quests, it was building. He created thriving settlements, none falling below 70% happiness. He spent countless hours shaping that world into something alive, something cared for. Back in the days of Xbox 360 and PS4, I introduced him to Fallout 3, a game I had already fallen in love with. He picked it up on PC, and from that moment on, he was just as hooked as I was. Fallout became something we shared. With Fallout 4, he could spend hours building and still find joy in every minute. He made sure every settlement had everything a settler could need, farms, slot machines, exercise equipment, even bathrooms with doors for privacy. This universe gave us something special. We could talk for hours about what we discovered, which faction we chose, new weapon combinations, and everything in between. We looked forward to the future of Fallout together hoping for a Fallout 3 remaster, wondering what Fallout 5 would be like, where it would take place, what new creatures and factions we’d encounter. We even talked about the show and imagined what it would be like if we could have Walton Goggins’ Ghoul as a companion. Now, I won’t get to experience those things with him. That’s what hurts the most is knowing that when those moments come, I won’t be able to share them with my father, my hero. He taught me so much about cars, computers, and life. For his final resting place, my family and I chose something that felt right for the man he was. Someone who spent so much time exploring and building in the wasteland deserves a place there too. He’ll rest inside a Mini Nuke. I wanted to share this because Fallout was never just a game to us. It was a world we lived in together, a bond between a father and his son. And now, no matter how far I travel across those endless wastelands, I know I won’t find him there. Because now, I’m the Lone Wanderer. Addition: for those who asked and would like to, I’ve recorded a bit of his first save and posted to YouTube. I’m still going through and shortening it a little so they’re only about 20ish minutes and not overly long. If you wish to see walkthroughs of his settlements you can see them here. https://youtu.be/TOHXoNmWOrY?si=reiZj2sqnl0y41qu submitted by /u/SWZphotography1992 to r/fo4 [link] [comments]

Boss always found an error with my monthly reports and cover letters, so I used her old ones and watched her rip them apart.
I was telling this story the other night, and I was told to post it here. This takes place 19 years ago when I worked for State Street Bank for one of the worst human beings ever, Paula. Real places and names so I do not care. If you live in Boston and a looking to work at this place, skip it. It is a horrible place to work. Anyway, on to the story. I had just started working for Paula, the team was a mini project team tackling complex financial operation problems with high SVP visibility, that's how it was sold to me. In reality it was a mushroom farm, with Paula keeping you in the dark and feeding you shit. All I did was compile reports and gather data from people who were terrified of my team. Needless to say, I was bait and switched and was looking to get out shortly after I got there. She had a habit of always criticizing your work to hell with the stupidest things. One the reports I was responsible for was a weekly update on certain Oil warrants out of Nigeria. To those that do not know a warrant is an agreement to buy a commodity at a specific price, regardless of what the current value is. The reason being there was an option to buy at $30 per barrel when prices peaked at $90 per barrel. We had no idea if the holder knew about this or not, but we had to monitor and report because the liability and loss would have been massive. Any who, week after week after week after week Paula would review and rip me a new asshole over the format, verbiage and every stupid thing not related to the actual numbers being right. Total ticky tack stuff. One day I was going through the network files and stumbled across an old folder for a similar project. It was Paula's handiwork before they gave her a team to manage. So, I decided to use her format for everything, even changing the report structure to look just like hers and using her cover letter language. I brought it to her office to review and sign off, and she absolutely lost her shit. She asked what happened to the old format. I told her since she didn't seem to like what I had been doing I thought it best to change it around. She said that this was worse than before, probably the worst I submitted to her. She went on and on for what seemed like forever. I just looked at her and didn't interrupt with blank look. Her last question to me was what I was thinking when I made these changes. I told her that I used the formatting and language she used when she was doing a similar report a few years back. That I found the folder online and used her past work verbatim, just with the numbers and relevant information changed. I gave her printouts of her reports and letters to compare. She just looked at me and had this dumbstruck look on her face. I asked if this was bad should I go back to my format then? She just signed off on the reports and said to send them as is. I just wanted to confirm that they were fine to send because less than a minute ago she said it was basically unreadable. She said they were fine as is and we didn't have time to redo them. So, I sent them out. I was smart enough to find and save all of her old work, for example, to use. I noticed that she went thought and deleted/moved the older folders after I encountered because I expected her to. This cat and mouse game went on for remainder of my time there. I would use her templates/past work and wait for her to tear it apart. After a few more times, she eventually figured out I grabbed all of them. She asked and I told her I created SOPs using all of her past work and had it saved locally. It seemed like a logical thing to do. I was able to quit a few months later. Fuck you Paula. submitted by /u/MerryMisandrist to r/pettyrevenge [link] [comments]

Mini-hound Farming Route
Seen a lot of information about the mini-hounds and how to find them, but not images for clearer guidance so I made this quick map to show the route I used in West Potomac to farm them. Each red X along the route is a potential spawn I found. Just running the loop on repeat is enough time for them to respawn in between encounters so you can just keep going until you get the bounty notification. I recommend farming the mini-hounds on an easier difficulty as they have HEALTH on Heroic and even in a 4 stack we were sometimes having trouble burning them down before they fled. Once you have the bounty you can start it from the Southwest area in the bounties tab. If you go more than 6 or 7 kills without seeing the bounty notification I'd check the bounties map anyway. On one of ours we went to 15 kills without seeing the bounty, so we decided to check if we had it anyway, and one of our team members noticed they already had it, so even though the event says you can stack them I'm not so sure. submitted by /u/LiquidAngel12 to r/thedivision [link] [comments]

Where do you place the mini-obelisks on your farm?
The popular placements I have seen are near the paths off the farm. For example: placing one mini-obelisk at the upper right towards town (next to farmhouse), and the other at the bottom towards Cindersap Forest. But in late-game it feels redundant because the return scepter returns you to the farmhouse Where do you place them? submitted by /u/-sadsunshine- to r/StardewValley [link] [comments]

My husband (31/M) bought farm animals on a whim, and now I’m (33/F) running a mini zoo. How do I get my husband to help?
Update: I talked with the volunteer farm and they have agreed to take the sheep. They said we can visit them anytime and the farm is excited to expand their stock. The kids were sad and crying. I explained to them about Lamb Chop growing up and turning into a ram and how he wouldn’t be sweet like he is now. My husband didn’t want to give up the sheep, but I told him it wasn’t going to happen. He complained and complained about it. I broke down crying and he finally relented. Now he’s following me around like a lost puppy cause he knows I’m mad, and it’s a bit overwhelming. But at the kids understand and they are happy that our sheep will be making friends and be with people that can really take care of them the way they deserve. —————— Hey Reddit, I’m in desperate need of advice (or maybe just someone to commiserate with). My husband (31M) has always had these grand, whimsical ideas. Usually, they’re harmless—like the time he wanted to build a treehouse for the kids (which he never finished). But this time, he outdid himself. He bought farm animals. Yes, actual living, breathing farm animals. And now, I (33/F) am running a full-fledged petting zoo in my backyard. It all started three months ago when he came home after we visited a volunteer based farm and said, “Wouldn’t it be amazing if the kids had sheep and chickens?” Before I could even blink or say, Maybe we should think about this, he showed up with two fluffy sheep and a half dozen chickens. The kids (5M and 3F) were over the moon, and I’ll admit, for a hot second, I was too. It was all fun, games, petting, and collecting eggs for breakfast—until reality set in. Now, every morning, I’m up at the crack of dawn feeding, cleaning, and making sure the sheep don’t stage an escape. One of them, whom I’ve sarcastically named Lamb Chop, has a penchant for squeezing through the fence and prancing around and eating the neighbours bushes. Meanwhile, the chickens have a vendetta against staying in their coop and are constantly eyeing my garden like it’s a five-star buffet. My husband? Oh, he’s too busy with work. He comes home, gives the animals a pet, and tells the kids, to look at what a great job I’m doing. It’s like, yeah thanks… anyways, I’m practically Farmer of the Year over here. The kids are obsessed, and every time I even hint at scaling back, they give me the wide-eyed “But, we love them!” speech. Cue the guilt. I’m exhausted, Reddit. I didn’t sign up to be a shepherd and chicken whisperer. But I also don’t want to be the villain who says goodbye to these feathery and woolly adorable friends. How do I get my husband to realize that this was his dream, not mine? And is there a way to share the load without making it feel like I’m dragging him into it? Any advice on making this sustainable (or maybe tips on how to re-home a sheep without traumatizing the kids) would be greatly appreciated! submitted by /u/Anxiously_nervous to r/relationship_advice [link] [comments]

Mini Mini Farm
Hi there Game Theorists, always just been a lurker and this is my first time posting. I have been playing a game that seems to have some at least mildly interesting lore to it. I thought there was a chance at least some of you guys here might enjoy it. I personally am not very good at lore hunting and coming up with theories. The game is called Mini Mini farm on mobile (I know it is at least on android I don't have an Iphone to check there). Edit: Well to give a basic idea. You start this game as just a guy that has been sent to an island to develop it and make way for other people to inhabit this island. You work your way through realizing that it must have been inhabited before because there are already abandoned buildings and these weird obelisks you find in each area. When you unlock new areas you get bits of lore here and there and you come to realize you seem to have been here before but you cannot remember. Then at the end of the game it seems like you unlock your memories and if I am reading into it correctly apparently your supposed to be curing some kind of plague? not sure exactly. You get to the end and break a huge pot and get a normal ending. You then find out you have to play through again to get the true ending and actually cure the plague. I'm not 100% sure yet I haven't beaten the second play through. I'm not the best at coming up with theories and maybe there is more in depth stuff that can be read into. But I think this game is actually really intriguing for a mobile game and hoping someone smarter than me can come up with a theory. Farmed 2 boxes of stone and traded them for wood. Had to rush to save my mini and now I find out you can no longer fill your own tank while seated and everyone can push you off. Seriously the devs just hate solos. Every update they make it worse.

[WP] You have an ant farm, which you have cared for since its humble beginnings. Having developed into a healthy ant society, you release the ants near your house. Days later you return to check on them, only to find a mini statue of yourself by their base's entrance. The ants stop once they see u.
