I’m asking because i’m trying to figure out the best swing set for our backyard and don’t want to end up with something that looks great at first but turns into a headache. This would be for younger kids with room to grow, so durability and safety matter more than flashy extras. i’m torn between wood vs metal, bigger sets vs simpler ones, and what’s actually better long-term vs what just takes up space. assembly time and how well it holds up over a few years are also big factors for me. I have been looking to get a swing set for my preschooler so they can have more outdoor playtime at home. I want something sturdy, safe, and fun that can last a few years as they grow. This may be a bit specific, given that children's playgrounds aren't typically "for life." However, I have four children aged 5, 3, 1.5, and a newborn, and we're looking for a high-quality backyard swing set that will grow with them and is made from durable materials. Initially, we planned for my husband, who is an excellent woodworker, to build it from scratch. But, with our busy schedules and numerous ongoing projects, we need a quicker solution. We want the backyard playground set up so the kids can play outside while we tackle indoor projects. We're located in the Southeast US, and our budget is between $1,000 and $2,000. Thanks! We have a 3yo and a newborn and can't decide between these 2 swing sets. We like the look of the Mystic Tower and the tube slide of Magnolia Falls. A negative for Mystic Tower would be the "death hole" on the second level that a child could fall 5ft straight down if they are not careful, but we could just put a piece of plywood over it until the kids are older. My husband is trying to talk me into a $1000 play structure from Costco. It has a slide, swings, climbing wall, areas to climb up like a tree house. We have 2 boys, ages 5 and 1. I think even if the play structure was cheaper by half, that it wouldn’t be worth it. I’m worried that the boys would quickly get bored with it. My husband grew up with one and he and his siblings used theirs all of the time. Do you feel it was a good purchase? When did your kids stop playing with it?
