Not sure how this is a slickdeal. I wanted to check to see how its so cheap. It is a fully memory foam couch in a box. 300lbs total weight. On Temu similar couches run 150 to 300 dollars. Not slick.

I'm planning to move to a new apartment in Houston and looking for affordable new furniture. Because I'm only staying there for a year, my budget is really tight. I came across a few options on Temu but I'm not sure about the quality. Does compressed furniture actually expand fully to its proper size? How are the sofas in particular? This has not been posted to this sub before. This is very much ongoing. Mood Spoiler: confusing and frustrating Original Post: September 12, 2024 My (27F) fiancé (29M) proposed to me a few weeks ago. It caught me completely by surprise, but we’ve been together for 3 years and things have been going great. So I was really excited and said yes! I really liked the ring when I first saw it and my friends and family all think it is stunning. It’s an oval cut with “diamonds” across the band. I asked where he got it and he wouldn’t tell me where, but that he got a great deal on it. I didn’t think anything of it until yesterday we were in bed and I was asked him if it was diamond or moissanite mainly out of curiosity. I don’t have a preference btw. He said he didn’t know and would have to look it up. When I glanced over at his phone, he was in the Temu app. I asked him if he got it from there and he didn’t respond. So I asked again and he responded with something like “does it matter?” and left the room and ended up sleeping on the couch. I spent all night so confused. Today decided to download the app and look up my ring and I found one that looks identical. I found the exact ring and it listed at $38. I am mad. He makes good money (200K/yr) and I feel like he could’ve shelled out some money for a ring better than one on Temu. AITA for telling him I don’t want it? My MIL and her husband are staying with us for the week. We don’t have cable. This by itself is incomprehensible to this boomer. I was on MAX, navigated past The Truth vs Alex Jones, and heard a sound from the next couch. I look over at the boomer and say, “I’m not up for watching that documentary right now. I can’t deal with that shit.” He says, “why not, it’s not real.” I turned the tv off, turned to face him and said “excuse me?” He then begins regurgitating a bunch of shit, ”mainstream media, commies, Obamacare, Benghazi, hoax.” I said, “you gotta be fucking kidding me”, and stared at him, dead eyes, staring through his dipshit soul and wondering what my wife would do if I perp walked him into our yard and locked the door behind me.
