Hi everyone!! I need help with outfit ideas for a golf outing as a FN. A little background: I’m athletic, but I only golf maybe once or twice a year. I attend this tournament every year with my dad, and it’s mostly an older, retired crowd with some higher-up professionals/CEOs attending too. It’s laid back, but I still want to look polished and appropriate. I’m a 28 year old female if that matters lol. Discovering Kibbe typing a few months ago completely changed how I see clothing. I’ve finally embraced my broad shoulders and natural frame instead of trying to force myself into styles that never felt right. I have a larger bust (34DD) and lack a “seat” aka butt. It’s a family trait unfortunately. Last year, I worse a tight, ribbed athletic tank top with an athletic skort from Athleta and I looked so stiff and uncomfortable in photos. I looked into a 90’s female golfer style but I feel like that will look out of place in modern golfing. It’ll be around 80°, sunny, and humid all day, so I really need something breathable. I’d love advice from other FNs who’ve figured out golf attire that actually works for our frame. Right now I genuinely can’t picture what would look good or feel comfortable. I moved out just about a week ago. Mentally, I feel confident I made the right decision, but emotionally I’ve been all over the place as I’ve incrementally made contact with my wife and her family, at which point my confidence falls to pieces, but then slowly builds up with distance again. I left because I seriously suspected infidelity and she refused to provide any kind of clarity so I walked. Here’s the story and my reasons for suspecting: -my wife met a guy when she was about 20. He was about 10 years older than her and was her first boss in her career and has been kind of a mentor figure to her. For the majority of our relationship, I never had an issue with their dynamic (we started dating when I was 17 and she was 18) -about 3 years ago, my wife started going for drinks somewhat regularly (maybe once every two weeks) with this guy and another close female friend from work. Again, didn’t have a problem with this. -during this time, my wife expressed to me that she was concerned that this guy and the other female friend might engage in an affair (they’re both married). I didn’t suspect my wife at all at this point, but this was a red flag about the guy, since it indicated that she believed he was at least capable of cheating. -eventually, the female friend stopped joining them and my wife was meeting with this guy one on one for coffee, drinks or lunch. -I still wasn’t concerned at this point, but felt it was necessary as her husband to draw a healthy boundary: she said they had talked about meeting once per week and I said that was too much and ideally, they should try and see each other with other people present or at the very least, not meet together nearly that often if it has to be one on one. -my wife did not respond well to this. This was the first major red flag. She expressed that she felt like I was trying to cut a very important person out of her life. We argued about this for a few weeks and didn’t reach an agreement and she even saw him a couple times during this tense period. -one night the argument eventually came to a head and I insisted that she stop having these meetings altogether. She accepted begrudgingly. -when she returned home from work the next day, she was visibly upset and told me that she told him they wouldn’t be able to meet frequently anymore. She then asked me “how often am I allowed to see him?” -about 2 weeks later, my wife said she wanted a divorce. From my perspective, this was completely out of the blue. She cited small grievances (nothing even remotely close to infidelity or abuse on my part, more like a bunch of little frustrations). She insisted that the other guy had nothing to do with it. -after long talks with me and her family, she agreed to stick around but never admitted to the other guy being involved in any way. -about 6 months of us trying to fix the marriage, which was going well, she went to a work party where this guy was going to be. She hadn’t seen him in a long time. -the very next day, she brought up divorce again, very much out of the blue. She continued to deny that this guy was a factor in any way. -again, I managed to get her to stay. We kept going the last 6 months, but it always felt to me like her heart wasn’t in it. -during this time, she’s frequently been going out for drinks with friends from work. I don’t know these people. They stay out quite late. (I know this sounds odd but I was trying to save the marriage and I felt that any pushback would result in her just leaving.) -I’ve been periodically pushing for more clarity on the situation with this guy. She’s given me nothing and continues to insist that it’s absolutely not a factor. -I even suggested that the four of us (me, my wife, the guy and his wife) get together for dinner. It wouldn’t be for me to grill him, but an opportunity for me to demonstrate to him that I’m present and I’m aware of him, and for my wife to show me that the dynamic between the two of them isn’t problematic. She refused. -in the summer, after I’d made it abundantly clear that I was uncomfortable with her relationship with this guy, she attended a golf tournament for work where she was in a foursome with this guy. The day before, her and another girl in the foursome went shopping for a golf outfit. It was essentially a mini skirt and a neon tank top. -last week, I told her I need some clarity on the situation or I would walk out the door. She didn’t give me any and I’m gone. There are plenty of other red flags from this time but I can’t list them all. Her parents have reached out to me since I left and don’t want to hear my story and instead ripped into me for being a bad husband. Much of what they said wasn’t true and was based on lies that my wife told them. I didn’t feel I could respond and correct them because it would turn into my word against hers and they would believe her every time. All they know is that I suspected cheating because a year ago my wife met one on one with this guy a couple times. I asked her to stop and she stopped. That’s all they know and they won’t hear me out. Her dad told me he looked her in the eyes and asked her if she had an affair and she said no. He said he knows when she’s lying and he believes her. Prior to this I had a great relationship with her parents and really respected them. The conversations with them have left me very disoriented and questioning my decision. We have many new Fallout 76 players many of whom have never seen this event so I figured that we could all give them some tips to help them out. The Holiday Scorched event is actually three events in one. Holiday Scorched will be taking place from Tuesday, 23 July to Tuesday, August 6th. The first part of Holiday Scorched is hunting down and slaughtering Holiday Scorched, they will be the Scorched running around in Santa outfits accompanied by the sound of jingling bells. The Holiday Scorched are basically mobile piñatas filled with tasty prizes including a bunch of new plans. The Holiday Scorched can appear everywhere but are most often found where you find regular Scorched. It is very helpful to wear some ear buds or headphones while hunting Holiday Scorched as you will often hear them before you see them. Holiday Scorched will mainly appear outdoors but can appear indoors as long as there is no loading screen between you and the inside of the building; they can appear in the Whitespring Golf Clubhouse but not in the main building for The Whitespring. If you find a nest of ten regular Scorched and two Holiday Scorched kill all of them, not just the Holiday Scorched that way there is a greater chance of the Holiday Scorched regenerating later. The second part of the Holiday Scorched event is going to take some work on your part. I assume that Bethesda is going to put a free Santatron Collectron in the Atomic Shop. If you don’t already have a Santatron collect one from the Atomic Shop. Like any other Collectron your new Santatron collects things for you but instead of collecting junk or Nuka Cola your Santatron collects presents for you! If you already have a Collectron in your camp go into the build menu and scrap it, then replace it with your new Santatron! Yes, you can go into a Collectron’s setup menu and switch what it will collect for you from say Nuka Cola to presents but it sometimes bugs out and doesn’t collect presents for you, it is easier to scrap the old and replace it with a shiny new Santatron! Like all resource collectors you can lock your Santatron if you wish or even entomb it behind walls to protect him from dogs and such. Note that you can only have one Collectron in your camp. What is even better than presents from your camp Santatron…more presents from your other Santatrons! Go out in the wasteland and conquer a workshop. Build a Santatron in the workshop. It is best if you can build it on or in some sort of protection from attacks so he can make presents for you without interruption. There are plenty of great YouTube videos on how to do this, just search for Holiday Scorched. If you are able to build the Watch Tower prefab it works very well for this purpose. I put the Santatron in the top floor of the tower, added a fast travel mat, and finally blocked the bottom of the stairs with concrete barriers. After you build something that you are happy with blueprint it. Now go take over another workshop and instead of spending five minutes building you can just drop your Santatron blueprint where you want it and move on to the next workshop. This all works amazingly well if you have Fallout 1st and can do this on a private server, if done on a public server you may have your presents stolen or your workshop seized from you, that’s life in the Wasteland for you. The third method of collecting presents involved making them yourself! There has been a lot of thought put into the science of making your own presents so definitely check out some YouTube vids on this topic, maybe someone will add something to this post on the subject. Basically you will buy wrapping paper from the various NPC vendors, it is available in three sizes, small, medium, and large. Many people have done the math and shown that buying the medium wrapping paper yields a better return for your caps than buying the large wrapping paper. Take your wrapping paper to a Tinker’s Workbench and go into the menu until you find “Gifts.” Build your presents and open them! That is the basics of the Holiday Scorched event and I’m sure that I left a few things out but fortunately we have some great people in this Fallout 76 Subreddit who can add their knowledge. for the first time in my life, i was asked to be in a wedding. “yay!”, i thought. “of course i would love to be in your wedding!” i said. “oh my fucking god, i’ve made a mistake!” i thought, two months and $1,000 later. when i was told we would be going to the beach for the bachelorette party, it was SO SILLY of me to assume that meant we would, y’know, go to the beach! hang out at the beach! get dinner at fun restaurants! get drunk at the beach house and play fun bachelorette games! oh, how incorrect and naive i have been. it has been borderline demanded that we purchase the following: - assigned color coordinated outfits, one for each of the three days we will be there, including an assigned color of bikini for each day, a pink dress for pink themed night, and sparkly tops for glitter night (roughly $150 total) - a golf cart rental ($95/person) - two sets of lingerie per person to gift the bride (why they want me to be involved in their sex lives i do not know) totaling TEN sets of lingerie for the bride (roughly $50) - the house rental ($150/person) - a grocery budget per person ($75) - custom trucker hats ($30) - custom matching pajama sets/robes ($20) - custom t shirts for the weekend ($25) and today it’s been requested that we also spend an additional $125 for a horse back riding excursion that is an hour one way from the beach house … we all own horses. we all ride horses every day already. when i said “i can’t afford that, im sorry! i’m willing to stay behind though, if yall want to do that!” i got hit with “well the bride would be so surprised and she would love it”. 😐 this is also not including travel costs to and from the trip, which is about $75/tank of gas at about two tanks, so another $200ish, plus PTO i had to take, and not including the small things like sunscreen and the other small offhand beach essentials. also, this trip is the week after a business trip and the week after rent is due. i think i’m going insane. EDIT: 98% of this is requested by the MOH, bride is unaware of cost of everything except for golf cart rental (and maybe house rental? unsure on that). MOH wants all of it to be a surprise for the bride - i genuinely do not think bride would be okay with it if she knew how much it was costing, lol. EDIT 2: to everyone saying to back out or decline, the party is in two weeks and i am already knee deep, so at this point i may as well go. i tried to push back on the golf cart rental and got steamrolled. i am pushing back on the horse riding cost, which is what set me over the edge and made me make this post in the first place. my pushback is going over like a fart in church, if you were wondering EDIT 3 (The Horse Thing): apparently this is not common outside of the south (??) but rodeo/agriculture is HUGE here. owning a horse is incredibly common, regardless of income status. 35% of horse owners in the US have an annual household income of below $50,000. i’m not a fancy pants English rider from california, guys. i’m from rural Texas where, like, 7 out of every 10 people own horses lol submitted by /u/seeuspacecowboi to r/mildlyinfuriating [link] [comments]

Not sure if this is the right sub, but it sort of fits, I’ve been reading posts and it reminded me of this, hope you enjoy. I’m female and was 24 at the time. This happened over the course of a few weeks about 2 years ago. I was working as a construction/design engineer for hospitals (plumbing and air conditioning), I work for a company that’s hired by the hospital, not for the hospital itself. My company had been hired to do an ER renovation on an old hospital and the plans for the existing building were really old/damaged or just didn’t exist anymore. As low man on the totem pole I got the fun job of going out to the hospital to document/investigate the existing building (lots of going up on ladders and looking above the ceiling to track down pipes and ducts and such). Because this was an ER and therefore 24hrs/day we had to time our investigation for non-busy times namely 3am-7am in the middle of the week, I was also working my normal office hours (because my job offered overtime or in-lieu hours, and I needed the overtime pay, college loans lol!) so for all these interactions I was exhausted and just didn’t give a shit. So on to the story, I had to parked in the hospital parking garage, on the top floor to be out of the way of patients and visitors. I had finished early because an emergency had come into the ER and I had to get out of the way. I had some extra time so decided to close my eyes for a bit before driving to the office, when I was woken up by a tapping on my window, a man was peering in the window, we will call him Parking Dude (PD) . I waved at him thinking he was just making sure I was alright (I was sleeping in a hospital parking lot). PD gestured for me to roll down my window, so I cracked it to hear him better. He gruffly declared that “employees are to park in the back lot or on the street if that’s full, next time I’ll have you towed” He then turned and marched back to his golf cart, which he blocked me in with, as I called out “I don’t work here!!” He left, I left and went to work thinking it was a one time deal, little did I know. Over the next few visits, I came back to my car to find increasingly angry “parking tickets” about parking in employee parking from now on! They were printed on 4A and very obviously homemade, with a blurry hospital logo and word art “parking enforcement” across the top. The notes threatened booting, towing, and demands for my supervisor’s name so I could be reported. I wish I still had them to share with you, my coworkers and I had quite a laugh over them. I even left a note on my dash saying I wasn’t an employee, and the next “ticket” had a rant about lying and that “You will be written up for lying, once I get your supervisors name!” Then one morning I came out to find PD waiting for me. He had blocked my car with his golf cart and was grinning at me like a cat who got the cream. I walked up to him and PD said “Employees have to park in the back lot! You are in so much trouble, I demand to speak to your manager! (yes he really said it), give me their name and number and the department you work for! I wont let you leave until you give me your managers name!” He did have my car blocked in. I tried to explain that I wasn’t an employee, I pointed out my outfit (work boots, jeans, safety glasses, and a toolbelt with flashlights, tape measures, lasers, and a clipboard with my drawn plans) and told him that this is where hospital admin had told us to park. But he insisted that my disguise wasn’t going to trick him and demanded to speak to my manager. I was so exhausted and wasn’t really up to arguing, so I just pulled out my business card, and my boss’s card, and handed them over. (I had told my boss about this, and he just told me to ignore it, as he had confirmed with the hospital that’s where I was supposed to park.) This dude pulled out his phone and called my boss and reported me. My boss (and older gentleman, who is also president of the company) later told me he had told PD that he had to let me leave or he was calling the police. When the dude hung up, he told me “I’m letting you leave this time, but next time you park here I’ll boot your car and find your real managers number and report you! Some trick with your friend wont work!” He got in his golf cart and zoomed away. Luckily my boss found this whole thing hilarious. It was about a week before I went back (bad weather=busy ER=no work for me) and I was almost done with my task (I would be back after construction started, but its all on hold now because of covid) I had finished for the day once again and headed out to my car, to find he had -sort of- done what he had threatened. There was a thick chain looped through the handle of my driver side rear door and a cinderblock all tied together with a large padlock. I knew this guy was a bit nutty, but I also had figured out he didn’t have any real authority, so to find this half clever half poorly thought-out ball and chain attached to my car, was a bit of a surprise. Now I got into engineering because I like solving problems (I actually don’t really like math even if I’m not half bad at it), and this wasn’t a particularly complex problem. I simply rolled my back window down and lifted the cinderblock and excess chain into my car, and then drove away. I passed PD on my way out, to say he was shocked was an understatement and I gave him a jaunty wave as I drove by. It was a cold drive back to my office with the window open, but it was worth the look on his face. When I got to the office, I had to go in and sign out the bolt cutters and was followed out by a parade of my coworkers to see it for themselves. I had to go back one more time, I was eager to see what PD might do after his last plan failed. I came out to find he had tried the chain and cinderblock bit again. This time he had wrapped the chain around the bottom of the wheel a few times, and had the cinderblock tied pretty close to the wheel and the chain through the handle again. It was definitely chained in a way that would take a lot more ingenuity to get out of…. Or a pair of bolt cutters I hadn’t returned to the office, you know, just in case. I cut through the chain, unchained the car, and then loaded the whole lot into my trunk. PD must have been harassing some other person, because he only pulled up as I was backing out of the spot. He blocked my car (again!) with his cart and jumped out. He came to my window and I did roll it down just to see what he had to say. “Hey, Hey!!! Where are the chains!! How did you get loose! This is stealing! (is it stealing to take stuff he attached to my car?) I will have your job for this!” I never did hear the rest of the rant, as I yelled “Magic and I‘m not an employee!!” during a pause for breath and drove around his cart and away. It was the most dramatic exit of my life and will probably never be topped. It was my last day there (for now) and I’ve since gotten a new car so I’m not sure if ill run into PD again. I’d like to think he is still puzzled over how I managed to unchain my car. My boss did lodge a complaint, but I don’t think anything came of it. Anyway that’s my “I don’t work here” story, hope it was worth the read. ​ EDIT to answer some of the questions in the comments: the chain was the rubber/plastic coated kind (this guy was prepared), and I was pretty gentle in moving it, no harm came to my old car. I did report him to the hospital, but I didn't follow up as no real harm was done to me.
