This looks a great deal. I have FH6 on PC and I'm on the fence of sticking with my trusted Xbox controller or take the dive with the R3. I've never used or bought a racing wheel for gaming. Any thoughts for a newbie?

I primarily use a PS5 controller and I'd love to see icons for that instead of Xbox. My dumb brain is bad at seeing one button and pressing another, it becomes an issue when trying to do quicktime events lol

The natural hand resting position fits the xbox controller perfectly. You won't have to move your thumb out of the natural resting position. Meanwhile, the right hand is also placed in the natural resting position, which is perfect for precise and more intense button pressing. This makes me think of the skarrsinger boss from Silksong. While not the hardest, I believe it was mechanical perfection, and I sure as liked the ABYX button placement. Most controllers got this right, but at the same time, I think moving the left thumbstick is such a small and simple step that I don't understand why more manufacturers won't do this. Hell, if anything you only have something similar, where you can switch the position of the dpad and thumbstick on very high-end controllers that cost a lot. In order: Design lab Series controller - made it to look kinda like a desert eagle. Don't know how much I was successful in it, but I love how it looks. One S controller with a replica Starfield shell. Looks and feels incredibly accurate to the real thing. Blue One S controller I saved from trash. Customized it with pink parks I found on Ali. The pink face buttons are from the Forza Horizon 5 Series controller. They're a bit taller than the blue buttons, but I like the different feel of them, like Super Nintendo (🇺🇸) controllers. Originally the white controller that came with my Series S, customized with an ExtremeRate faceplate inspired by starfield, and a bunch of other parts I found on Ali. + Skull&Co thumb caps. 360 Halo 4 controller I got used that was in really bad condition. Replaced the shell with a transparent green shell from Ostent and a donor black back shell, and kept some of the original parts. I like how on this one the PCB is white and the LEDs are blue. Here is my collection of all Xbox Design Lab Elite Series 2. I really, really like controllers. 🤣 Some highlights: Every color at least once, even ones like “carbon black” which are available on the retail, I did a design lab variant. Should be about 28 of them, and then 30 if you count the Witcher 3 and Doom which were released in both retail and design lab. At least one of each color Dpad, Thumbstick, and paddle combination I bought these all myself, no sponsor or anything like that. I’m a controller collector, and I also like to learn as much as I can about them. I’m also a tech enthusiast and have done reviews and things like that. So my ultimate goal is to combine both, and almost do historical type things around controllers and collections. Especially Xbox! I also did this for the standard design lab, as well as all of the retail versions of Xbox one and Xbox X/S. One that will last more than 1 year. I don't want to give them more money. I've had sticks drift, bumpers broken, rubber stops fallen off, sticks drift, vibration motors stop working, charge ports go loose, audio ports develop static and then stop working, sticks drift, all mics gradually lose sound fidelity (explain mechanically how that even happens), I've even had one start smoking after plugging it in, and did I mention stick drift. It always starts a little bit at a time, and then it breaks all at once. I've gone through 13+ controllers, and I personally think it's on purpose and a scam, but you be your own judge. Any single point of failure is uncommon enough that they can get away with it, but together the odds of it breaking make it last about 1/year. Who do I give my money to, instead. Update: People acting like the Xbox controller doesn't break every 1-1.5 years are lying through their teeth, or maybe they're only using it on PC. I've never thrown a controller. Everything that breaks happens from usage. Charger and audio ports break from the cords being inserted and removed over time. The charge port can break just from the downward weight of a charge cord. Stick drift happens from repeated very fine adjustments like in games with build mechanics, not a dusty environment or eating around a controller, it isn't avoidable despite what people claim. As someone that grew up with Sony PlayStation..... I really wanted to dislike the Xbox controller. But its just feels better in the hands. It connects to every device known to man without fuss. While the dualsense is more finnicky I daily the dualsense right now. (Im on PC) . It is a great controller in its own right. But the Xbox takes the aspects of a dual sense controller and improves upon it in a way I can't explain. Which you prefer??
