How do you track performance across Blinkit / Zepto / Ads? (2 min survey)
Hey everyone I’m trying to understand how brands actually track performance across platforms like Blinkit, Zepto, Meta ads, etc. From what I’ve seen, data is usually spread across dashboards, Excel, and tools like Tally—and it’s hard to get a clear picture of profitability. I made a short 2–3 min survey to understand real problems people face. Not selling anything—just doing research. Would really appreciate your input submitted by /u/sankalpkhare94 to r/IndiaBusiness [link] [comments]

Possible dark UI practice by Zepto? MRP increased after adding to cart (screenshots attached)
I think I just caught something concerning on Zepto and wanted to check if others have noticed this too. While browsing for a blood pressure monitor on Zepto, the product listing showed one MRP. But when I added the same item to my cart, the MRP shown there was slightly higher. Luckily, I noticed because I only had one item in my cart. But imagine someone adding multiple items — most people won’t remember the exact MRP shown earlier and would just proceed to checkout. What makes this more concerning is that a few months ago, Zepto had publicly acknowledged issues around dark UI practices and said they would fix them. They later introduced “zero handling fee” and removed delivery fees, which many of us appreciated. But this kind of subtle price difference raises questions again. There’s also another broader practice I’ve observed with quick commerce platforms (not just Zepto): Some brands appear to list products with higher MRPs on these platforms so that they can show large “discounts.” However, if you buy the same product from a local kirana store, the printed MRP is sometimes significantly lower. I’ve attached screenshots: Product page showing one MRP Cart page showing a slightly higher MRP Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a pricing glitch, dynamic pricing, or something more intentional? Would love to hear your thoughts. https://preview.redd.it/xou73htcxskg1.jpg?width=816&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=99bf24c535018d78f05262035c697a13461d918c https://preview.redd.it/iwm52htcxskg1.jpg?width=816&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b12ff0caf962cbf99e43936850ea1717d16c7194 submitted by /u/local-profit-6919 to r/isthisascam [link] [comments]

This is so freaking yummy 😭 I can't stop
I often saw the ads for Sweet Karam Coffee on Instagram. Today while ordering eggs from Zepto I found these online and decided to try them. It's was absolutely tasty and melts in my mouth just the way a bite of Mysore pak should. 10/10 experience dude, this is so peak 😭🤌 submitted by /u/ordinary-kryptonian to r/SnacksIndia [link] [comments]

Is it possible to run ads on Blinkit / Zepto / BigBasket without being a seller?
Hi everyone, I’m exploring quick-commerce advertising and wanted to understand if anyone here has experience with this. I’m not a seller on platforms like Blinkit, Zepto, or BigBasket, but I want to know: Is it possible to run ads directly inside these apps without listing products as a seller? Do they allow brand or service ads (non-product based)? Has anyone here successfully run ads via direct partnerships or media teams? Or is the only realistic option to use Google / Meta ads targeting quick-commerce users? I’m planning to start with a medium budget and initially target a single city (Ernakulam/Kochi). Any insights, real experiences, or contacts would be really helpful. Thanks in advance. submitted by /u/Beautiful_Remove_843 to r/StartUpIndia [link] [comments]

After 16+ years abroad, visiting India with my 2 kids made me realize I can’t move back
I just got back from India after visiting with my two kids for the first time, and I wanted to share how I felt. I’ve lived outside India for 16+ years, and this trip made something very clear: I don’t think I can ever move back. This is hard to admit, but I felt a lot of anger and resentment while I was there. Toward the environment, the systems, and yes, sometimes even toward people I love, including my parents and siblings. Not all the time, but enough that it shook me. It made me realize how much I’ve changed. There are many things I found really difficult: How people treat each other in daily life So much shouting, cutting lines, emotional drama, and zero basic courtesy. I especially struggled watching how husbands treat their wives and how casually men treat women in general. It’s normalized, and it bothered me deeply, especially now that I’m raising two boys. Over-dependence on “help” or “labor” Nothing feels autonomous. Every small task needs multiple people. I didn’t like the feeling this creates, for either side. On top of that, reliability issues like lying and theft added stress. Traffic and driving culture Mentally exhausting. No rules, no predictability, constant honking. My nervous system was on edge all day. Pollution, dust, and health impact I had cold, cough, and breathing issues almost the entire trip. Add mosquitoes to that and it was constant physical discomfort. Food quality vs convenience Yes, Swiggy/ Zepto are convenient, but the quality was disappointing. I was paying ₹170 for a small box of strawberries and consistently finding stale ones. This happened multiple times, not just once. Healthy food is hard to sustain By healthy, I mean balanced protein + fiber + carbs + fats. Eating that consistently was hard. Unhealthy food, heavy carbs, butter, and ghee are everywhere and normalized. It’s very easy to eat badly without trying. Emotional performativeness A lot of people play with feelings and emotions, showing care without actually caring. It felt performative and draining. Clutter and hoarding mindset Even small things added up, like parents not being able to throw anything away. The mental and physical clutter was overwhelming. Socialness felt draining I cannot party/ be socially so active. Banking: Dealing with banks in India, their processes and timelines, honestly feels like a joke. I’ve been trying to recover ₹30K from a so-called dormant account that I was told was active. I only found out five years later that it was never properly activated. This was under a scheme where the amount was supposed to double, which of course never happened. Its now been eight years of trying to get this money transferred to a new account that they forced me to open. Instead of resolving it, they keep asking me to add more money just to maintain the account. Endless loops, no accountability, and zero urgency to return money that’s legally mine. Insurance claim's: another scam. That went in circles with no results. Public toilets, pay to use via cash/UPI money transfer to be able to use public toilets that are stinky and dirty. Funny thing is I was confused to be upset about paying to use public toilet or be thankful that they take online UPI payment aswell. It's insane. To be clear, India has positives: family, culture, familiarity, convenience, help, kids being around grandparents. I see all of that. But the cons feel heavier for me now. The sensory overload, the impact on my health, the emotional exhaustion, and the values mismatch in how I want to live and raise my kids. This trip didn’t make me nostalgic. It gave me clarity. I don’t hate India. But I also don’t think it’s my home anymore. submitted by /u/Efficient_Parfait956 to r/Life [link] [comments]

Built an app to compare 7 quick commerce stores + cab fares (Uber, Ola, Rapido) in one place
A while ago, I built Comparify to compare real-time prices and delivery times between Blinkit, Zepto, and Instamart, mainly because I was tired of overpaying for everyday stuff. Then I added a cab fare comparison feature (Uber, Ola, Rapido & Namma Yatri) so people could check which app’s cheaper with their actual prices, including coupons, offers, and wallet balances. Now there’s a new update: Comparify now supports JioMart, Flipkart Minutes, BigBasket, and DMart, so you can compare even more stores at once. It’s been fun seeing how wildly prices and delivery times differ between these apps sometimes 😅 If you haven’t tried it yet, you can check it out here: Play Store Website (for iOS users) Would love feedback or ideas for what to add next, I’m still building this solo and open to suggestions! submitted by /u/akshat207 to r/gurgaon [link] [comments]

We did it guys 😬😌😌 Zepto has now added the below tab
Zepto's public image around dark patterns and hidden fees had become so strong that they couldn't get away with JUST removing the fees. They had to put banners on the main page & cart page about how they have removed these. submitted by /u/LuckyYard3713 to r/FuckZepto [link] [comments]

New feature I added to Comparify: Compare Uber, Ola, Rapido & Namma Yatri fares (with your actual prices) — also works for Blinkit, Instamart & Zepto
I originally built Comparify to compare prices and delivery times between Blinkit, Zepto, and Instamart - to avoid overpaying for everyday groceries. But I just added a new feature that might be even more useful: You can now compare real-time cab fares across Uber, Ola, Rapido, and Namma Yatri - and it shows your actual prices, including any coupons, offers, or wallet credits from your account. No more switching between apps - just open the app, see the fares, and if you want to book, tap the one you want. It opens the cab app directly with your pickup and drop pre-filled. The back-and-forth to save ₹20 was getting tiring — so this felt like a necessary fix. Sharing in case anyone finds it useful. 📲 Play Store 🌐 Website for iOS Users Would love any feedback (bugs, feature ideas, etc.) if you try it out. submitted by /u/akshat207 to r/Frugal_Ind [link] [comments]

Zepto just added 20Rs to my order without even telling me
While placing the order, the order amount was 175.69, after I placed the order the amount shot up to 195.69. Reason? Rain fee. it wasn’t even fucking raining, just got a bit cloudy. If any of you are Zepto drivers please let me know if this 20rs goes to you guys or these people are just greedy fucks. Oh and I also couldn’t cancel the order after I saw its price increased up ( which I could see only after the order got placed) because they had already started packing in 1ms after I pressed order. I am pretty sure this is illegal. submitted by /u/Raijin_Thund3rkeg to r/FuckZepto [link] [comments]

Amazon India has introduced a ₹5 “Marketplace Fee” per order.
Even on Prime. Even for low-value items. What exactly are we paying for? This isn’t packaging. It’s not shipping. Sellers already pay logistics fees, storage fees, return penalties, ad costs. Now the buyer is being taxed too, just for placing an order? Isn't it a breach of contract for sellers or buyers already enrolled in Prime? Or can we do nothing but to look for replacements? What actual good replacements are out there because Flipkart is just an evil twin of Amazon already! It’s not about ₹5. It’s about how decisions like these made quietly, affect sellers’ margins, customer trust, and platform loyalty. Swiggy and Zomato started with Rs 2, moved up to 10. Then the government got greedy and wanted tax on it as well. So we now stand at 11.8 Platform fee for both Swiggy and Zomato. Flipkart has all sorts of fees, platform fee, open box fee, shagun ka lifafa for delivery person and whatnot nonsense! Is this a signal to move back to the local shops? Or is it just a sign and consequence of maturing market forces? EDIT: As suggested by Mods, here's the proof from Amazon FAQ: https://www.amazon.in/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=TF3RSudjie3qn1Q5y9 PS: If this is not common knowledge yet, Amazon is also charging a flat Rs 49 discount fee now. So if you buy an item worth 10k, get 10% discount on your SBI card on sales, but then return the item because its not as expected, the discount fee will still have to be paid. PPS: I know this is a corporate strategy. Amazon is well within its rights to first sideline the local shop competition by providing discounts, and then establish a monopoly. It is natural and expected. The point of this post is that we, as consumers, must also counter strategize, right? Actions must have reactions. A duopoly is in Amazon's benefit, not ours. Least we can do is make a point against irrational practices. For example, Zepto applies so many hidden charges that there is a thin line between placing an order and getting scammed. Most e-commerce platforms seem to be moving that way. If Amazon needs more money, increase the price of Prime by 100 bucks, I think hardly anyone will notice. But this practice of some surcharge here some there is, atleast for me, in bad taste. This is designed to entrap unsuspecting customers, not to charge genuine value. submitted by /u/not-trying-my-best10 to r/india [link] [comments]

Why do you guys hate Zepto so much 😭
Hi everyone, I don’t understand why soo much hate for Zepto here while they are doing God’s work. While every other app is on a mission to fry your brain with dopamine hits, endless doom scrolling and making your mind numb, Zepto is out here running brain marathons. Every time you open the app, it’s like a surprise math test. You added 1 pack of bread? Boom it’s 2 now. Clicked on ₹199 atta? LOL, it’s ₹305 by the time you hit checkout. Where Instagram wants you brain-dead, Zepto wants you paranoid, confused, and questioning your reality. A true mental fitness app disguised as a grocery store. If Zepto is spying here, I am on your side. Thanks for turning my grocery list into cognitive puzzle and keep my brain active😭😭 submitted by /u/Rogerwhat_ to r/FuckZepto [link] [comments]

Zepto is a parasite feeding on vendors, brands, and staff - it’s a ticking time bomb and no one’s getting paid.
I’m a distributor who mainly supplies to modern trade and quick commerce platforms. TL;DR: Zepto is the most toxic, predatory company I’ve dealt with. Instamart, Blinkit, even BigBasket - all of them at least pay their goddamn bills. They are now intentionally delaying payments so vendors can opt in to their new extortion scheme. They delay payments constantly with zero accountability. And when asked, their answer is always some bullshit like “cash flow issues.” Really? Then stop running prime-time ads and influencer campaigns like you’re fkn Amazon. But wait, it gets worse. They used to list products I supply at a 35% margin (on MRP), then run 10% offers and recover that from brands through debit notes (which, fine, is normal - if you send working files). But now? They slap a 45% margin on POs out of nowhere, with zero justification. When I pushed back, the reply was literally: “Our cash flow is affected.” Cool story bro, now explain how I’m supposed to supply you at a loss while you sit on my money. After chasing Zepto for weeks about our payments and getting zero response-no calls, no emails, absolutely nothing-they now have the audacity to roll out some bullshit scheme called CredAble for early payments. And guess what? It comes with an even higher discount than before. So not only do they ghost their suppliers, they want to bleed us dry while pretending they’re doing us a favor. It’s a scammy, predatory move-pure corporate extortion masked as innovation. Disgusting. They’re trying to be D-Mart without any of the ethics or systems. D-Mart pays vendors in 7 days. Zepto pays when you chase them like a dog and maybe if someone in accounts accidentally hits “process.” And don’t even get me started on Zepto Atom - a full-on scam that charges desperate brands for “insights” that should’ve been part of the deal. Imagine robbing someone and then charging them to tell them what you stole. The rest of their ops are just as chaotic: Staff keeps quitting or getting replaced Warehouse inwards are pure circus Delivery agents being treated like trash Dark stores running on fumes Their own brand Relish isn’t even turning the margins they hoped for This is a company built on burning relationships - with vendors, brands, employees, everyone. Nobody is making money except for Zepto and their VCs who are propping up a Frankenstein with duct tape and unpaid invoices. It’s a bubble. To every vendor out there struggling to get their dues cleared: you’re not alone. And to every brand still thinking they’re getting scale - just wait till the payments stop. Stay angry. submitted by /u/CapitalEffective2939 to r/StartUpIndia [link] [comments]

War 2's last schedule has been pushed to May as Hrithik is injured during intense rehearsals, NTR was papped at Mumbai airport, He'll join NTR-Neel now. I think this gives rest to all the Post-SSR "Health issues" rumors because of the Zepto ad. That's just a low effort ad which got deserved bashing.

Best Tech Companies in India: Work-Life Balance and Pay
Hey everyone, I'm putting together a list of great product companies in India that offer a good work-life balance and good pay. I found this nice list by u/madao_est posted 3 years back, but I'm wondering if it's still up-to-date. Do you think this list is still relevant? Are there any companies that should be added or removed? Have your experiences with any of these companies changed? Companies in India with highest pay Good WLB Adobe Apple Broadcom Citrix Expedia Google Indeed Inmobi Intuit JP Morgan Linkedin MathWorks Microsoft Nutanix Nvidia Phonepe Salesforce - ServiceNow Bad WLB Amazon Arcesium Atlassian Codenation Coinbase DE Shaw Flipkart Goldman Sachs Harness Morgan Stanley Rippling Sprinklr Tower Research Uber Zepto - Zomato Unknown WLB (Didn't find much data) AirBnB Alphonso App Dynamics Aviso Bloomreach Cohesity Compass Cure Fit Gojek Grab Hasura HealthifyMe Instabase MotorQ Oracle (OCI) Palo Alto Networks Postman Practo Quadeye Qubole Rubrik Sharechat Stripe Sumologic Swiggy Target Udaan Vizury Whatfix - World Quant Mid Level paying companies Good WLB ARM Autodesk Blackbuck Cisco Datadog Directi Freshworks HashedIn Intel MasterCard Mentor Graphics Oracle (other than OCI) Qualcomm Redhat SAP Labs Samsung Slack Smallcase Texas Instruments Visa - Zoho Unknown WLB Box8 Chowbotics (DoorDash) Cloudera Dunzo Jio Juniper Networks MakeMyTrip MyGate Paypal Razorpay SanDisk Twilio - Upgrad Bad WLB BigBasket Cred Dream11 Hotstar Ola Oyo Paytm Unacademy Walmart Wissen - Zeta Unknown compensation Groupon Snowflake Truecaller - Zoom Visa-sponsors outside US Agoda Bangkok Booking Amsterdam ByteDance Singapore Databricks Amsterdam Meta London Spotify Stockholm Yelp London Zalando Berlin - Plenty of other options on Stackoverflow jobs. A Few Clarifications About the List: Moving the list to a Git repo or page: Some of you have suggested moving this list to a Git repository or a page. I plan to do that once the list is more complete. Right now, it’s easier for people to comment and give feedback here, which helps me update it quickly. Work-life balance is subjective: I know that everyone’s experience with work-life balance can be different. My goal is to show a general idea of a company’s culture based on feedback from the community. This way, it gives others some guidance, even though it might not apply to every individual. About adding new companies: Someone pointed out that I had added Zerodha earlier without checking if they were hiring engineers. Thanks for that! Now, I’m checking if companies are hiring engineers on their careers page before adding them to the list. If your suggested company isn’t on the list yet, it’s because I’m still verifying their hiring status. Focus on experienced professionals: This list is primarily aimed at experienced professionals, but freshers are also welcome to use it as a reference. It can still provide useful insights into the companies and their cultures.
