This game came out when GenAI wasn't even a thing. it was still a baby in some testing lab. The banner is made by the same artist who made the cover for the disk version of the game. I want to get into AI seriously but I've looked at UpGrad, DeepLearning AI, Udacity and a bunch of YouTube stuff and I genuinely cannot figure out what's worth it. Some have live classes, some are just recorded videos. I tested a bunch of uncensored AI tools for image + RP, ranking based on how open they actually are, features, and consistency (a lot claim “uncensored” but still filter tbh). Top Uncensored AI Platforms: - Grok, 4.8/5 → One of the more open mainstream options for chat, but still not fully uncensored and pretty limited on image/video side. - Eternal AI, 4.8/5 → Truly uncensored image + video gen, plus chat with strong memory and realistic convos that don’t break. also has free daily credits. - Ourdream AI, 4.7/5 → All-in-one with chat, image, video, but can get inconsistent depending on how far you push it. - Secrets AI, 4.7/5 → High-quality visuals and realism, but more structured and less flexible for custom scenarios. - Soulkyn AI, 4.6/5 → Community-driven with uncensored chat + image gen, lots of variety but quality can vary. - SpicyChat / GirlfriendGPT, 4.5/5 → Good for RP, but more companion-style and not as strong on consistency or visuals. - DreamGF AI, 4.5/5 → Dating-sim style with image + video features, more guided experience but less flexible. - Nectar AI, 4.4/5 → Customizable personalities + solid image gen, but leans more romantic/companion than fully open. I want to learn generative AI but i am a complete beginner just know basic python. there is way too many options out there and i am confused. You can consider me just know language thats it. i have seen courses from DeepLearning AI, Udacity, LogicMojo AI and tons of free stuff on youtube. has anyone actually done any of these? are they worth it? also do I need to learn traditional ML first or can i jump straight into GenAI stuff like LLMs and prompt engineering? I just had 3 shitty interviews back-to-back. Primarily because there was an insane mismatch between their requirements and my skillset. I am your standard Data Scientist (Banking, FMCG and Supply Chain), with analytics heavy experience along with some ML model development. A generalist, one might say. I am looking for new jobs but all I get calls are for Gen AI. But their JD mentions other stuff - Relational DBs, Cloud, Standard ML toolkit...you get it. So, I had assumed GenAI would not be the primary requirement, but something like good-to-have. But upon facing the interview, it turns out, these are GenAI developer roles that require heavily technical and training of LLM models. Oh, these are all API calling companies, not R&D. Clearly, I am not a good fit. But I am unable to get roles/calls in standard business facing data science roles. This kind of indicates the following things: Gen AI is wayyy too much in demand, inspite of all the AI Hype. The DS boom in last decade has an oversupply of generalists like me, thus standard roles are saturated. I would like to know your opinions and definitely can use some advice. Hey guys, According to some developers from Frigate the gemini has stopped working on Frigate ( i am running 0.17.0-beta2). And I have also read that the gemini 2.0 will be discontinued by the end of February if I am not mistaken? I guess there are not any other free alternatives, I have tried to use the gemini 2.5 but it seems that it has a cap of 20 requests per day which is quite low. Are you guys using any other AI for semantic? Is it worth to use OpenAI even if it is a paid service? This new statement comes from their recent AMA Swen Vincke, Larian CEO: So first off - there is not going to be any GenAI art in Divinity. I know there’s been a lot of discussion about us using AI tools as part of concept art exploration. We already said this doesn’t mean the actual concept art is generated by AI but we understand it created confusion. So, to ensure there is no room for doubt, we’ve decided to refrain from using genAI tools during concept art development. That way there can be no discussion about the origin of the art. Having said that, we continuously try to improve the speed with which we can try things out. The more iterations we can do, the better in general the gameplay is. We think GenAI can help with this and so we’re trying things out across departments. Our hope is that it can aid us to refine ideas faster, leading to a more focused development cycle, less waste, and ultimately, a higher-quality game. The important bit to note is that we will not generate “creative assets” that end up in a game without being 100% sure about the origins of the training data and the consent of those who created the data. Why were Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Chantey's awards retracted? The Indie Game Awards have a hard stance on the use of gen AI throughout the nomination process and during the ceremony itself. When it was submitted for consideration, representatives of Sandfall Interactive agreed that no gen AI was used in the development of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. In light of Sandfall Interactive confirming the use of gen AI art in production on the day of the Indie Game Awards 2025 premiere, this does disqualify Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 from its nomination. While the assets in question were patched out and it is a wonderful game, it does go against the regulations we have in place. As a result, the IGAs nomination committee has agreed to officially retract both the Debut Game and Game of the Year awards. Each award will be going to the next highest-ranked game in its respective category: Debut Game: Sorry We’re Closed Game of the Year: Blue Prince Both à la mode games and Dogubomb have been notified and were invited to record acceptance speeches. The art they create is original and I’m very proud of what they do. I was asked explicitly about concept art and our use of Gen AI. I answered that we use it to explore things. I didn’t say we use it to develop concept art. The artists do that. And they are indeed world class artists. We use AI tools to explore references, just like we use google and art books. At the very early ideation stages we use it as a rough outline for composition which we replace with original concept art. There is no comparison. It makes me feel sad, angry, and deeply disappointed not only at them, but at me for letting myself be surrounded by such people. If they used it to learn, I would have less of a problem. But they constantly use it to cheat on essays or to make the most ridiculously tiny decisions. They bitch whenever a teacher catches them because they simply copypaste, and so they get bad grades because they didn't learn anything from it. I get constantly baffled by whatever they ask chatgpt. Those youtube skits of people who use it for everything? I deal with it daily and the intelectual laziness is infuriating. They can't even choose what game they want to play, what food to eat or what show to watch. I lost all respect for them. I knew they were like that before because I often would have to make group decisions and take initiative because they simply could not decide. Or decide on what to decide. I know genAI didn't make them like that (it's making them worse though) but now it's painfully obvious. To make it clear, it's not simply the act of using genAI that disappointed me so much. It's the intelectual laziness and the outsourcing thinking for the simplest things.
