To make a long story short in October 2024 I felt my life was in danger by a police officer during a situation so I called 911 for my safety and who knows later that would bite me in the ass..so I was charged with misuse of 911 because the officer lied on the police report and now this is on my record. On another post I made some ppl said they get a background check every year I hadn’t because I would of got “kicked off” when I got the “charge” but I just got kicked of yesterday in the middle of a 3 shop order. I had a customer accuse me of peeing on her tomatoes today…. accepted this order and the store was 4 miles away so it took me about 10 mins to get there so i’m confused as to why i’m being asked if everything is okay as I literally hadn’t even stepped out of my car and started shopping yet. i start shopping and the order was going smoothly it was 15 items I didn’t need to substitute anything I check out and load up the groceries in my car and this is when the shit show happens (this was screen recorded and I couldn’t hide the keyboard so sorry for a lot of screenshots or cut off messages). this was the first time i’ve experienced someone so irrational and insane I have nothing but high ratings and good reviews and have never cancelled an order but I genuinely felt way too uncomfortable to deliver to this crazy lady and I figured she would remove the tip anyways. the last message she sent was that she’s familiar with “AWS” (whatever that means) submitted by /u/ProfessionalWafer401 to r/InstacartShoppers [link] [comments]

Now I remember why I never use Instacart
This time of year is hectic, work, family obligations, holiday, end of year crap. So I wanted to order my groceries and have them delivered to save another stop, make life a little less stressful. So I used Costco’s order and Instacart will deliver for a small fee and a tip for the driver. I ordered filet, not the expensive ones, but the choice. We are doing beef fondu this weekend and they will be cooked in oil and dipped in a sauce. So I click $41 filets I will cube for people to pretend we are back in 1970 eating fondu. The shopper, without telling me replaced with $110 filets and delivered me a different product I was charged for, the $97 filet. This increased her tip since i am generous to a fault I selected 15%. Instacart says “there really wasn’t anything they can do”. Never using them again….grrrrrr submitted by /u/Daedelus451 to r/mildlyinfuriating [link] [comments]

This was after a $25 tip on Instacart order
$25 tip on $250 Costco order. Nothing oversize or heavy in order of about 15 items, Costco like 2mi away. It’s colder than usual, but not single digits (and it’s Chicago in winter), roads have been clear for a week. We’ve had tip set at same percent since early days of COVID and never had an issue/complaint over probably 300 Instacart orders. submitted by /u/blipsman to r/ChoosingBeggars [link] [comments]

52 hours of Instacart
Put in some hrs this week. It could be less, I get lots of orders waiting at home and leave when Instacart sends the warning. Also I’m in the city so lots of apts., concierge, waiting for gate/elevator codes, looking for parking on street, traffic, up and down elevators etc..so it takes time to deliver. I typically go for orders $30+, which are a lot of 3 shops that take time to deliver.. I despise 3 shops 😩. I shoot for 4-7 batches per day, I stopped early to play Tennis on Thursday and Sunday because I am addicted 😁🎾. Some orders were stress, but overall this was a good week! 😁 submitted by /u/BguConsult to r/InstacartShoppers [link] [comments]

DO NOT WORK FOR INSTACART
They are getting more and more stingy as the tips have stopped and now they have to cover the cost of delivery and can't take advantage of the tips. On top of that they are sending threatening emails of account under review if you so take a little more time to deliver or drive extra even little bit due to rush hour or detour. Plus the shopping experience have gone down the drain with more items to shop less pay and hoard of NEW shoppers everywhere. It used to be great in its haydays of covid but now they are trash just like Uber. submitted by /u/moonlanderjoom to r/InstacartShoppers [link] [comments]

Welp, it finally happened.
Placed a small ($80ish) order to get me through the week. Saw the guy had no reviews or shops, never seen that but assumed he was new. I’m watching him shop and notice some slightly odd things like 2 extra cucumbers, 2lbs of steak instead of one. Okay, figured maybe there were more items in some of the packaging. 20 minutes later I get a notification about an additional charge of $125, so $185ish total. I’m immediately confused but as I was looking into it I get a “delivered” notification. I go downstairs, spoiler alert: nothing there. I send him a few messages asking where he is and that’s when I pull up the receipt. He increased some items by 10 or 20 items! He was working multiple orders so he probably made out like a bandit. Instacart was really not helpful, of course they refunded me, but I feel like that is an insane inconvenience and the fact that he was able to add so many more items seems like a major flaw in the system? I’m not sure, I’ve never had this happen before. Anyways, it’s really making me think if I wanna keep using Instacart. Edit: IC says the only consequence is he can’t shop for ME anymore. SMH. Perhaps there is more they won’t tell me but kind of insane for blatant theft. submitted by /u/Majestic_Month_4328 to r/instacart [link] [comments]

I quit Instacart in the middle of an order. DONE.
When I first received this order, before accepting, I analyzed it. There were few heavy items, no boxes of canned soda and it was already up to 79 items. It offered $16.75 for 2.5 miles, so it sounded like a decent deal. I started shopping and after I found about 5 of the items, the customer added a few small items. I quickly found them and then the customer added a few more. I was halfway through with the order when I the customer added all the boxes of canned soda. I found them and continued shopping. As I shopped, the customer kept adding pretty heavy items. Large packs of chicken and about 6 other different kinds of meats, a gallon of vegetable oil and a few more things. I found them and the cart was so heavy from these large newly added items, I wondered how many items I had left, looked and had completed about 60 and still had 33 to go. Then, the customer added more large items. I would have had to get another cart and being a 110 pound female, it would have been impossible to do it by myself so I just left. Instacart wouldn’t let me cancel the batch until after I got back home so now the customer knows where I live. Not to mention I haven’t done a single order without a case of water included in a week. I’m never doing gig work again. DoorDash was the same exact deal. People expect me to work harder than I did doing landscaping in this summer heat for leftover pocket change, doesn’t even add up to minimum wage after gas and maintenance and these people can suck it. That was the last straw. submitted by /u/Silver_Flight676 to r/InstacartShoppers [link] [comments]
