Anyone ever try adaptogen drinks like Hiyo to help with focus?
I bought one yesterday to try to drink at work because I saw it had l-theanine and lion's mane, and I was looking for an alternative to a Celsius or other caffeine heavy drink. But I just googled and realized it's actually for social drinking as an alternative to alcohol and now I'm a little worried since I'm drinking it at work haha. I'm curious if anyone has tried one of these and has thoughts on if it is helpful or harmful for getting things done. I feel tired today so I was looking for more of a pick-me-up, and this sounds like it could backfire and be relaxing and weird...but I can't tell from the reviews. submitted by /u/everything-matterz to r/adhdwomen [link] [comments]

🌿 Adaptogens in Your Cup — The Beginner's Guide to Adaptogen Drinks
If you've been seeing words like ashwagandha, reishi, or holy basil popping up on your favorite drink labels lately, you're not imagining things. Adaptogen beverages are one of the fastest-growing segments in the functional drink space but what actually are they, and do they work? So what's an adaptogen? Adaptogens are a class of herbs, roots, and mushrooms that are believed to help the body "adapt" to physical and mental stress. The concept comes from traditional Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine, and has been studied in modern research with growing though still evolving scientific support. The basic idea: your body has a stress response system. Adaptogens are thought to help regulate that system, keeping you from spiking too high or crashing too low. The most common adaptogens you'll find in drinks: 🍄 Reishi — Often called the "mushroom of immortality." Associated with relaxation, immune support, and better sleep. 🍄 Lion's Mane — The nootropic mushroom. Popular for focus, memory, and cognitive clarity. 🍄 Chaga — Antioxidant powerhouse. Often found in coffee blends. 🌿 Ashwagandha — One of the most researched adaptogens. Linked to cortisol reduction and stress relief. 🌿 Rhodiola Rosea — Popular for energy and endurance without the jittery caffeine effect. 🌿 Holy Basil (Tulsi) — Common in teas. Associated with mood balance and inflammation reduction. 🌿 Maca Root — Energy, stamina, and hormonal balance. Earthy flavor that works well in lattes. What do adaptogen drinks actually look like? You'll find adaptogens showing up in a wide range of formats: Mushroom coffee blends (Four Sigmatic, Ryze, MUD\WTR) Canned adaptogen sodas (Recess, Kin Euphorics) Powder drink mixes you add to water or milk RTD (ready-to-drink) lattes and tonics Herbal teas (Tulsi, Ashwagandha blends) Do they actually work? Honest answer it depends. The research on adaptogens is promising but not conclusive. Many studies show real effects on cortisol, cognitive function, and stress markers, but dosage matters a lot. Many commercial drinks contain adaptogens at levels too low to produce meaningful effects. The general rule of thumb in this community: check the label for actual dosage, not just the ingredient list. A drink that lists ashwagandha but doesn't tell you how much is a red flag. Getting started — what should you try first? If you're new to adaptogen drinks, here's a simple starting point based on your goal: Stress & anxiety relief → Ashwagandha or Reishi-based drinks Focus & mental clarity → Lion's Mane coffee blends Energy without caffeine crash → Rhodiola or Maca lattes General wellness & immunity → Chaga or Tulsi teas What's your experience with adaptogen drinks? Have you noticed a real difference? Got a brand or blend you swear by? Drop it in the comments — this community runs on honest reviews. 👇 submitted by /u/anonspamuser to r/functionalbeverage [link] [comments]

Best DJ drinks that have adaptogens
I’m getting 1,000 ads about a bunch of different beverage options with adaptogens and other uplifting or calming properties. I am looking for something good and tasty for social situations. I’m also looking for post-work unwind options. They’re all kinda expensive, so I want to get some advice before I buy. And I’m not asking for simple “mocktails” (which are also yum), just this kind of beverage option. Cans are easy to take to parties. What are your favorite: A) uplifting beverages? B) mellowing beverages? submitted by /u/RebaJams to r/DryJanuary [link] [comments]

Adaptogen drinks
I’m preparing to do IVF and have quit drinking for the last two months. I’ve recently discovered the Adaptogen/ashwaganda/nootropics drinks they sell at the grocery store. Does anyone know if these are ok to have if you’re preparing to do an egg retrieval/ transfer in the next couple months? I enjoy them but I don’t want to mess anything up by drinking them regularly. Adaptogen I can add to drinks?
I can’t really drink anymore due to health issues. I do love weed but it makes me very lazy. This weekend is my friends birthday and we are going out. I want to be relaxed, confidently energized, social and giggly. I want something that I can add to ginger beer that I order at the bar. I’ve looked up kava and I heard the drops aren’t as strong or good. Open to suggestions. I need something with quick shipping. submitted by /u/bluecowboyboots2 to r/SoberCurious [link] [comments]

Adaptogen style drinks?
Do you have any recommendations for zooptropic/adaptogen style drinks or supplements that help your symptoms and don’t have any coffee derivatives? I have been drinking spacegood’s rainbow dust but realised their caffeine is from coffee extract and coffee makes me sick. There are so many options that I don’t know what to choose! And the market is less regulated than it should be. I am considering trying matcha. submitted by /u/aheath478 to r/adhdwomen [link] [comments]

Adaptogen Drinks
Hi all! I’m looking for some advice on non-alcoholic beverages and if they would show up on a drug test? I have been sober for 130 days, and will be starting probation in 3 weeks for a year. I stopped drinking since I received my DUI; however, going to weddings or celebrations, I’ll have an adaptogen drink like Recess, Hiyo, Juni, or Kin Euphorics. They help to calm me as well. They contain ashwagandha, lion’s mane, and L-theanine. I just wanted to see if any of these would show up in a drug test or fail me for any reason? I don’t want to fail a test for not even drinking alcohol or doing drugs. Thank you in advance!! submitted by /u/Historical_Hornet839 to r/probation [link] [comments]

Does anyone here use nootropics or adaptogens drinks to help improve your productivity? Do they actually work?
I feel that I am way too reliant on caffeine to get focused. I want something that I can still drink throughout the day to improve my productivity but isn't caffeine. Quite often I feel my heart racing during the day and realize I overdid it with coffee or other caffeinated drinks. Does anyone have any suggestions on what products may be out there that work or what supplements will be good to improve my mental focus throughout the day? submitted by /u/dicdok54 to r/adaptogens [link] [comments]

Curious about cbd/thc drinks or adaptogen drinks
Hi, I’m recently sober from alcohol and want to try out some cbd/thc drinks but don’t know where to start… I don’t want to be stoned at the bars but a good giggle would be nice! How do you feel about Recess and adaptogenic drinks?
I am a little conflicted on it. I had one yesterday at a party and I swear it did make me more relaxed for like an hour. It made feel a little like I cheated and now I don't know what to do. There's no THC in it. Just magnesium and L-Theanine, like stuff you find in the health food store. Maybe it was just like psychosomatic, but I enjoyed it and now I am not sure if I should purchase anymore. For the record: no, Im not hungover today. submitted by /u/YourMirror1 to r/stopdrinking [link] [comments]

Any drinks with adaptogens that aren't crazy expensive?
