My status finally changed from 75K to Super Elite at the end of May. Honestly, I grew so frustrated with the delay that I kind of gave up on Air Canada and kinda stopped flying them altogether earlier this year. They did finally come through last month, and I am officially SE again, but I'm not sure what the best move is now. Has anyone dealt with a multi-month delay like this?

My 86 was converted to 134a and I was able to buy small cans to top up. Now in Canada, you can’t get them any more. 2 years ago, it got a bit low on refrigerant so I decided to vacuum the system and switch to the propane version, which I can buy everywhere here. Nice cold air again and apparently the molecules are larger and harder to escape.

Should I hide my history of Air Canada to apply rouge
Hello guys, I was a FA with AC mainline for a couple months and just got fired almost one week before my probation ended. I was fired without a legit cause but anyway… Now I see Rouge hiring, should I just delete the AC part in my resume and apply for rouge again? Or I should be 100% honest with them? Is there any risks associated with each option? Thank you! submitted by /u/GardenMurky5156 to r/cabincrewcareers [link] [comments]

Another Air Canada Work Stoppage Coming???
Hi everyone, I have a flight booked with Air Canada in July, and a friend who works there mentioned that there might be a possible work stoppage involving ground crews around that time. I’m not sure how accurate this is, so I wanted to ask if anyone else has heard anything similar or knows what’s going on with the negotiations. Is this just a rumour, or is there actually a chance of a work stoppage this summer that could affect flights? submitted by /u/Free-Lengthiness3865 to r/aircanada [link] [comments]

Air Canada might be pretty good airline
Look, their soft product on long haul range is nowhere near Asian or European standards, but their customer service (in Spanish), somewhat flexibility even on bare bones rates, App experience (which is probably the best airline app I’ve ever used), and competitive rates to Europe, has earned my love. I’ve flown over 70 airlines in the last 5 years, so I do not say this lightly. There’s still a long list of things AC can improve, but definitely has some sides of the business and passenger experience completely figured out. I also loved they have the full seasons of shows available on their IFE; I hate it when they just add 3 or some random non consecutive episodes. If I had to rank american airlines, they would rank first above Delta (close second) and LATAM (not even close third). I also have a sweet spot for Avianca and their miles program, despite how incredibly awful their planes are. Anyway, Air Canada is pretty good. I know many don’t agree, but based on my last experiences you will only hear good things from me! *If this post gets deleted, future me might have gotten “rouged” submitted by /u/Alechacon27 to r/aircanada [link] [comments]

What’s the Point of Air Canada Rouge These Days?
Genuinely curious here — what’s the actual business case for Rouge in 2025? I get that it started as a leisure brand: fly older planes to sun destinations, cut some frills, save on costs. Made sense back then. But now it feels like they just slap Rouge planes on whatever route needs a body, regardless of destination or market. From a marketing perspective (my background), the brand feels totally directionless. There’s no distinct identity, no real pricing difference from mainline, and seemingly zero marketing push behind it. It’s basically just Air Canada in a red uniform with less legroom. It doesn't seem to be directly competing with Westjet/Flair or any other LCC right now. Are there even dedicated teams at HQ still managing Rouge? Or has it become a leftover brand that exists purely for ops flexibility? Would love to hear from anyone with industry insight or recent experiences. submitted by /u/ML6467 to r/aircanada [link] [comments]

Your experiences with air Canada ? (Is it that bad)
I’ve been reading reviews about this airline and I’ve seen so many bad ones. I’m flying w them a really long flight (from Perth to sydney, Sydney to Vancouver (14.5 hrs💀)and then Vancouver to Montreal) in august. This is my first time flying w them. I’m low-key scared about all the reviews saying theres delays and baggage getting lost. I’m going to Canada for a wedding and I’m gonna obv pack my attire so if the bags get lost I’m done for. What are you guys’ experiences w this airline and how often do issues like this (delayed/cancelled flights and lost baggage) happen ? submitted by /u/noodlesandpasta123 to r/aircanada [link] [comments]

How bad is Air Canada really?
Hi all, I am heading to Toronto in June (all going well) and Air Canada seems to be the cheapest option by a decent margin, but all I've heard is bad things about them. Is it all just people annoyed after a particularly bad experience or does the airline really have desperately bad customer service and fleet and staff etc. If it makes any difference, I am flying from Europe. Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/HopefulKangaroo to r/aviation [link] [comments]
