Air premia sales soon?
Hi everyone, I’m looking to travel from the US to East Asia in early August this year. Does anyone know if airlines will be running sales anytime soon, especially on airlines like Air Premia? I know with the fuel issues that prices are likely to go up, not down, but I wanted to check anyway. submitted by /u/Accomplished-Goat368 to r/koreatravel [link] [comments]

Air Premia price hike
Hi, I was looking to book a flight in August from SFO to ICN from Air Premia. Nearly all of the lite economy prices were $660 across the board. All of a sudden, they’re all sold out and only economy is available for $1100+ round trip. I find it hard to believe they all sold out in a day. Should I hold out hope that it’s coming back down? Air Premia Premium Economy Booking Questions (LAX > ICN)
Hey there! I am trying to book a premium economy flight via the CapOne travel portal (loving the new app as well btw). I am searching for a one-way ticket from ICN to LAX for this August, and I've heard decent things about Air Premia regarding their premium economy class. When I'm on Google Flights, I am able to see the premium economy class for Air Premia but I only see the economy seat option in the CapitalOne Travel portal. Of course, I would want to use the portal to gain my 5x miles back on the booking since it's a decent amount back, but how do I go about purchasing this premium economy seat? Air Premia is the only direct flight I saw as well. I believe I have a couple options but let me know if anyone else has encountered the same or has experience with this type of scenario. Option 1: Call CapitalOne customer service to add the Premium Economy option on Air Premia, somehow if possible. Option 2: Book the regular economy via CapitalOne and try to pay the difference and upgrade the flight via the Air Premia site. Considering CapOne has the 24h cancellation policy, I can always try this route and cancel if it doesn't work out. Option 3: Play it safe and just book direct on Air Premia without gaining the miles back (least preferred). Any help or feedback is appreciated! Thanks :) *EDIT: I mistitled my post, its ICN > LAX, oops UPDATE I called CapOne travel agents, they were not able to add the Premium option unfortunately, they went ahead and told me to go to Option 2. I did option 2, Air Premia does not have the option to upgrade seats (they have change seats for extra $, but not upgrade to Premium Economy, or at least I couldn't find it after searching for it). I ended up doing the cancellation and refund; going to stick with Option 3 now. I found a 5% premium economy discount code online for booking direct with them which makes up the 5x miles back in dollars I guess 🤷‍♂️ submitted by /u/ReanalyseJemm to r/Venturex [link] [comments]

EWR > ICN Air Premia: Upgrading to Premium Economy after purchasing Standard Tix
Hey all, I'm based in the US. My partner and I purchased our EWR > ICN Air Premia tickets at the end of December and selected Standard Economy seats. Fast forward to now, and we've decided we may want to upgrade to their Premium Economy (Economy Wide) seats. According to the Air Premia site, there seem to be Premium Economy seats available still. The caveat is that our trip is a week and a half out, and we can't figure out a way to upgrade through the Air Premia website. I've been perusing this sub and have heard that the airport may not have an Air Premia desk since they're a smaller budget airline, so no chance to upgrade in-person the day of departure. (Not sure if this is even true for EWR as it's unclear online.) Our next option is to call their english customer service line first thing Monday morning to try and upgrade. I hear mixed reviews on their customer service and that they're generally hard to get a hold of. Does anyone have experience doing this? Any help/recs would be appreciated! submitted by /u/shibamums to r/koreatravel [link] [comments]

Skipping the second leg of Air Premia flight
Hi everyone. I was able to buy a super cheap New York (EWR) to Bangkok (BKK) flight with Air Premia, with an 11-hour layover in Seoul. Now, however, I'm thinking about rearranging my itinerary a bit, getting off in Seoul and flying to Japan first before finally making my way to SE Asia. Their site indicates that they change cancellation and no-show fee. My return flight is not with them. My question is have anyone does that? Can I actually be severely penalized by doing this / can they randomly charge my credit card? submitted by /u/DrFreakonomist to r/koreatravel [link] [comments]

Air Premia EWR-NRT
Found this deal on Kayak. 1st flight has a 4hr layover at ICN while the 2nd flight is almost 6hr with "self-transfer". Is this legit? The luggage allowance, dates and overall price seems too good to be true. Also when going to AIR PREMIA's official website via Kayak, it says "Bad request. An error occurred during the process. Please try again from the beginning" and brings me back to their main homepage. I am skeptical of 3rd party booking sites for flights (booking.com, etc.) and just read a reddit post about AIR PREMIA's delays due to limited aircraft. Follow-up: Alaska confirmed as recipient ICN to SEA remedy slots, Air Premia for ICN to HNL
From the previous article discussing the applications filed. This is just a short follow-up confirming that these are indeed the airlines receiving the slots in an official capacity. This is quite interesting as both Alaska and Air Premia fly these routes already, so I'm not sure what the additional added frequencies will look like. The article says they are expected to have these operations "in the first half of the year". I believe Air Premia is not yet daily on ICN to HNL, so perhaps it ramps up there? Alaska already filed for an increase from 5x to 6x weekly on SEA to ICN starting in April 2026, last year in October. So I'm not sure what the situation looks like with these new frequencies being granted to it. submitted by /u/omdongi to r/AlaskaAirlines [link] [comments]

United vs Air Premia vs Korean Air
Flying to Korea from San Francisco and need help deciding between United (basic economy), Air Premia or Korean Air. My bad experience with Air Premia
TL;DR: 1. Seats uncomfortable but good leg room; 2. Agent clearly stated 20,000KRW to check in baggage from ICN to NRT, but it was actually 70,000KRW (~$55); 3. They did not announce before commencing 14hr flight that their wifi is broken; 4. Food is bad; 5. Very unhelpful customer service I flew from LAX > ICN, ICN > NRT on Air Premia. It reminded me of the time I made the mistake of flying with Spirit super-budget airline. First, the leg room was nice but the seats are not comfy. Padding on the seats is not good. I do well on flights usually, but the last half of the flight was a very painful experience. I could not stop moving to find a comfortable position. Food was very average (porridge which was just 99% rice and water, and very bland fish for 2nd meal) and portions were very small. In addition, they did not notify anyone before the 14 hour LAX > ICN flight that their wifi is not working. They only said that the flight info screen will not be working due to technical issues. I purposely timed the flight so that I could work remotely on the plane, so once we took off, I frantically tried for an hour to fix the wifi issue on my phone/laptop thinking it was just my fault, then realized people next to me were having the same frustrating issue. I asked the flight attendant, only to find out that their wifi is broken. If they told me earlier, I would have at least told my work that I will not be logging on for my entire shift. I basically just disappeared on my team for the entire shift, not being able to communicate to them that I won't have internet. SAME exact thing happened on my ICN > NRT flight 2 weeks later. No heads-up about the internet not working. Then for my ICN > NRT flight, I called them to ask about baggage charges for my 2nd bag. They clearly told me and my friend that it's 20,000KRW, but at the airport, I was told it's actually 70,000KRW. I told the agent about the issue but he was not able to do anything, even though he could see the record that I called about the baggage charge 1 day before the flight. I contacted Air Premia about the huge inconvenience created by the wifi problem, and about the baggage fee, but all I got were "sorry there is nothing we can do, please refer to the terms you agreed to which says wifi might sometimes not work, blah blah blah" I will never fly Air Premia again. I would rather pay a tiny bit more for other airlines. submitted by /u/Any_Proposal9467 to r/seoul [link] [comments]

Fuck you, Air Premia
Air Premia changed my itinerary by more than a week, effectively fucking up my schedule. It's been two weeks and they absolutely refuse to pick up the fucking phone or answer their email. Their customer service is non existent. Many reviews suggest that they are fine, that is, if you manage to get on the plane. But it seems to be habit of this turdful airline to change schedule however they like without providing any kind of support. Take what you will from this anecdote but I'd not recommend going thru this headache for a meager saving of a couple hundred bucks. Yes all airlines suck balls hard, but this one especially. submitted by /u/aaa11aaa to r/koreatravel [link] [comments]

When my wife and I were planning our trip to Korea last year, we saw that there was a new budget airline called Air Premia. There weren’t many reviews on Reddit at the time and there still really aren’t any…so I thought I’d share my own experience. I won’t go into too many details of the aircraft since that’s readily available on their website. Booking: we booked directly on their website. It was fairly tricky when we booked (October 2022). The site would not fully load, especially on the payment page. Not sure if this is fixed/resolved, but it basically made me keep booking the tickets all over again (from the beginning…it was pretty frustrating). I think 3-4 tries and it finally went through. Use a credit card or debit card with no foreign transaction fees for this purchase if you are able to. Luckily we never had any issues to the point where we had to call their customer service. I believe it’s a Korean phone number. I’m also not sure if anyone speaks English on the phone (people speak English at the check in counter, though) Check in: at LAX, you cannot check in online prior to your flight…nor can you check in at a kiosk. Hopefully this changes as the airline gets more popular. We arrived 3 hours prior to our flight. I had read a Reddit comment from someone saying they had to wait a super long time in the check in line. Things must have changed since his experience because the line moved fairly quickly and there were about 6-7 employees at the check in counter. We checked in 2 bags…the whole process once we reached the counter took less than 5 minutes. Boarding: you are put into 3-4 groups based on aisle number and seat class. It’s the normal process pretty much. Disabled, people flying with children etc go first. Then the premium class. Then they start boarding those who are sitting in the back of the plane and move forward. Very straightforward and efficient. Flight: we sat in the regular seats (not premium). I’m a bigger guy so airline seats aren’t super comfortable for me anyways lol. And I got stuck in the middle seat. But the seats were comfortable. There’s a lot of leg room which was extremely nice. Staff were all Korean and super nice. They knew minimal english, but it wasn’t an issue. Plenty of bathrooms on the flight. Never really a long line unless it was after food service and people wanted to freshen up. Food was just okay lol. This is where the budget part of the airline came in for sure. First meal options were either a scrambled eggs dish or an egg noodle dish. Wife and I both ordered the egg noodle dish- not amazing but not terrible. The other meal towards the end of the flight was either fish or a beef tomato dish. We both had the beef tomato dish and we swear it was just beef covered in ketchup. It was eh lol. They offered a snack between the 2 meals which was some type of chocolate pastry with a cream filling - this was delicious. They provide water and coffee for free in small little cups. Any other drinks/alcohol or snacks require you to purchase them. We did not purchase any as we brought snacks from home. The flight was about 12 hours (it was supposed to be 13 hours). We hit some turbulence but overall a great flight with no issues. Overall, I would 100% fly with Air Premia again. Next time, we will probably do the premium class as the seats are a little bigger (my 5’0 wife did not have any issues in the regular seats). I’d recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks but that’s it! Let me know if you have any questions submitted by /u/kimbopanini to r/koreatravel [link] [comments]
