My 1-year long gym crush liked me on hinge
Pre-dinner snack (there’s way more food coming but I’m too excited to wait) of hummus and baby cucumbers and baby carrots. I had a gym crush at my old gym for pretty much a whole year. It wasn’t just that he’s crazy handsome, unbelievably athletic, and very stylish. No….. no no no. It’s that his form on all his lifts were perfect. My mans cares about doing things right. He made 140kg look like thin air. He could do multiple pull ups with 20kg chained to him (ahem) in exquisite form. Really it was like watching art performed in real time. He liked me on hinge. I messaged all my girlfriends asking if it’d be weird to bring up the gym because I’ve moved cities and haven’t been there since February. They all egged me on to ask and well…. He ended up bringing it up! He was like “are you the girl from x gym? I thought about saying hello a few times but you looked like you wouldn’t want a bar of it” and I nearly cried. I couldn’t believe a man this handsome could ever notice little old me. Anyway, I need to work on the RBF I suppose. But we are going on a date on Friday! Will post update with outcome for those interested 😝 submitted by /u/habitual_citizen to r/GirlDinnerDiaries [link] [comments]

We should get rid of baby carrots.
Once I realized that baby carrots are just regular carrots that are trimmed down to 2 inches, tumbled, then polished to appeal to the masses, I'm rethinking. Is the energy going into this process worth this expenditure of energy and wasting part of the carrot? submitted by /u/Bug_Kiss to r/unpopularopinion [link] [comments]

I will always rely financially on my partner if i continue to pursue the career I love. Tuna with hummus and hot sauce in a pita pocket, cold brew with almond milk, baby carrots, kosher dill pickles and a blue raspberry jolly rancher.
I love my job working in the human services field and i truly believe it is my life’s purpose. But I realized recently that i’m getting paid less at my current job than when i was working retail and it is so much more emotionally and mentally draining. My partner is in the tech field and he is happy to be the main provider but i feel so useless and worry about losing my independence as we continue to build our life together. If I wasn’t moving in with my partner while i got my masters i would be totally screwed financially. My father always wanted me to be a “Woman in STEM” and i feel like such a stereotype choosing a career where i am underpaid to take care of others. Sometimes i wish i had just put aside what I really wanted to do and gone to college for something that would actually make enough money to live on comfortably. submitted by /u/boyardees_meatballs to r/GirlDinner [link] [comments]

Are baby carrots a good snack?
I got really hungry at work and stopped by the store to pick something up on my break. I ended up opting for an entire bag of baby carrots as opposed to the sushi i wanted because of calories (i love the crunchy stuff and spicy sauce type sushi and it adds up) and price. I felt full after and was happy I found a way to volume eat without breaking the budget. I started using baby carrots as a small snack for when I'm feeling particularly nibbly (not often but when I begin eyeing chips or something more calorie dense) But when I told my friend they said carrots contain sugar and aren’t good for you because of that so now i dont know what to think. Is it good to eat carrots as a snack or not? I wanted something cheap and low cal that i could eat in bulk without much prep but also know sugar isnt super great for you in large amounts. I thought the fiber or other nutrients would offset it but i wanna hear other peoples takes. Edit: thank you all for the reassurance! I was worried about it for a bit and just want to make sure I'm on track since i was trying to limit sugar (refined mostly) due to it triggering binges/stress eating and carrots seemed to help as an alternative. I may add in sugar snap peas and other things though just because i dont want to turn orange if I rely too heavily on them as i tend to when i find a new favorite thing 😂 Thank you!! submitted by /u/A_Rolling_Potato to r/loseit [link] [comments]
