Hey mamas! We are expecting baby 2. My December 2021 baby is very excited for his little brother to arrive & he wants to match his clothes with him. What’s your fave brands, preferably bamboo pajamas (that aren’t expensive), everyday clothes etc.

For some reason pajamas (2 pc) are always so small. I generally buy 1 or 2 sizes up for my oldest. I only see this issue in pajamas, it’s so strange. Also Get yourself a bamboo fabric or something really stretchy which will last longer.

@rural-newlyweds, seriously! Between running around and eating a 1/4 of a meal lol it’s been so nice not feeling like I’m buying clothes every other week though! Going forward I’m only going to buy bamboo style pajamas though. She has a 9-12 month that still fits her and was in a 3-6 month until she turn like 10 months lol

Mine hasn’t used a blanket in like 6 months since he stopped the sleep sack. Still In the crib. Sleeps perfectly happy all night with just 2 piece bamboo pajamas and socks. We keep the house at 70ish

@nicSol0217, Caden Lane, that’s a really good one and there’s another one that my friend recommended I can’t think of the name. But if you look up bamboo pajamas, a lot of of them come up like that. The part that stinks about the Caden lane wants is that they are expensive, but really good quality and if you get a universal friend, you can use them for more than one kid in the future.

I buy bamboo pajamas, they are pricey but the stretch is worth it. My son still fits in 3-6 months while not fitting into Costco 9 months or Carter’s 6 months. The little sleepies 6-12 months are huge on him and will last for a long time so for me the price is totally worth it

We have a humidifier and we use tubby Todd cream everyday. Pajamas are softer on his skin when we put him in bamboo pajamas

I find bamboo pajamas, last us a bit longer. In cotton ones and daytime clothes he is in 12 months but he’s able to comfortably wear anywhere from 3 to 6 months to 12 months in bamboo. I like the quality of the target cloud Island ones and also angel dear. They’re a little bit more pricey, but well worth the money in my opinion. I order ours from the little lamb boutique or off of Poshmark.

@baby2form3, My son takes his diaper off through his pajamas �� He doesn’t do it often and it’s only the bamboo ones because they’re thin. I was hoping he was ready for potty training but he won’t sit on the potty

Long sleeve 3.5 tog sleep sack from ergopouch and bamboo pajamas underneath. The sacks are expensive but we were using a 2.5 sleeveless sack but I was worried he was cold and he seems to like this better. He sleeps in our bedroom but by a window and it can get to 63 overnight even with the heat set to 69.

We just do bamboo pajamas without footies and sleep sack. I don’t like footie pajamas once they start crawling mostly because I just don’t always change baby out of pajamas in the morning lol they spend more time in pajamas than actual clothes over here

Sorry it's drawn so terrible, I did it on my phone but IRL the pattern is small, eeyore looks like a baby and there is bamboo around him. It's printed all over the bottoms, not just in one spot with a black background and green waist band.I had these around 2006. They were so soft and cute. I would like to find them and buy them. This week I hit a breaking point. I have always been a hot sleeper but this summer drove me insane to nearly crying over my lack of comfort. I can sleep naked with a fan blasting and a thin blanket and still wake up in a pool of my own sweat as if I wet the bed. Meanwhile my boyfriend has zero issues what so ever in the same bed. I did a hot sleeper deep dive a couple days ago on the dos/don’ts/must haves. I basically learned that my bed has been a hot sleepers prison. I have a memory foam king mattress with a “cooling” memory foam pad and microfiber/polyester bedding. I might’ve blacked out and bought new everything except a mattress. By the end of it I spent about $1,500. Feel free to judge me. I’m judging myself but praying it was worth it. Luckily it’s all returnable if needed. Curious of people’s opinions on these products and if some may actually be worth it. Everything arrives tomorrow/Saturday. So I’ll have an update Sunday. $290 wool mattress topper (Purevanna brand on Amazon) $768 Sferra Giza 45 precale fitted sheet $170 duvet insert with wool filling/cotton shell (YOUR MOON brand on Amazon) $80 100% cotton duvet cover (MooMee brand on Amazon) $80 down alternative pillows (Beckham Hotel Collection on Amazon) $90 cooling pillow cases (Rest Brand on Amazon) UPDATE: Everything BUT the sheet came Thursday night so we slept with our normal sheets. I did sweat a little but not nearly as much. Slept 6 hours straight peacefully and I even didn’t change the thermostat or turn the fan on to go just off the material. Was definitely an improvement and my boyfriend had never been more comfortable. Yesterday we got the sheet and last night I got to experience everything together. Overall was an improvement comfort wise compared to our old stuff and my sweating issue decreased about 93%. My next addition will be bamboo/linen pjs! Here’s by opinion/experience on each individual product: $290 wool mattress topper (Purevanna brand on Amazon) 5/10. I wouldn’t recommend if you’re wanting comfort. Based on the reviews I was expecting squishier/softer like a cloud as some said. I felt as if I could still feel the firmness of the memory foam mattress. Unfortunately not sure how well it contributed to the reduction in my sweating. For the price I wouldn’t recommend. I’m sure there is better out there for a combination of comfort and sweat reducing. I will be returning and searching for a replacement. But I will say the past 2 days I’ve woken up with less joint pain and muscle aches. $768 Sferra Giza 45 precale fitted sheet — The most controversial purchase. We had to make the decision to keep before washing and trying it out since it can’t be returned after washing. We bit the bullet and hoped for the best. Based on right out of package feel I was starting to get buyers remorse. It wasn’t what I imagined it would be but also my first experience with this material. I washed it immediately and slept on it last night. THANK GOD 20/10 EXPERIENCE. Promise I’m not gaslighting myself to feel better about the purchase. I’d HIGHLY recommend to my fellow hot sleepers even if it’s a similar cheaper alternative. Just get your hands on sheet like this one. Holy shit. Keep in mind I’m still slightly sweating. I don’t know what voodoo is going on but I’m all in. I don’t know where my sweat went but this sheet repelled it. I would sweat but I didn’t feel it in the sheet. It was still cool and soft to the touch as if nothing happened. I’m already searching for a cheaper back up set. $170 duvet insert with wool filling/cotton shell (YOUR MOON brand on Amazon) — my boyfriend is obsessed so my feelings aside it’s a keeper lol I’d say 8/10 only because this might be all seasons for an average joe but not a hot sleeper. I think this is what’s keeping me still sweating. I told my boyfriend I might get a twin size version so it’s only on his side for the time being haha I think until the weather cools I’m going to try to do duvet cover only $80 100% cotton duvet cover (MooMee brand on Amazon) 10/10. Already looking at more colors lol my boyfriend is actually obsessed with the duvet concept and tossing all our old comforters. They take up so much closet space and he likes only having to change the cover. It got so much softer after the initial wash. My pets hair doesn’t stick to the material nearly as bad as past comforters. Looooove the material. $80 down alternative pillows (Beckham Hotel Collection on Amazon) 10/10. A true hotel experience at home. Will literally have to buy another set. We are both 2 pillows sleepers and he took one of my Beckham pillows and refuses to give it back haha I will say if you’re looking for neck support turn away. It’s comfortable and soft but definitely too soft for the support some may be looking for. $90 cooling pillow cases (Rest Brand on Amazon) IM IN LOVE. These mixed with the sferra sheet is like a hot sleeper orgasm. So cool to the touch. They’re literally too cold for my boyfriend. You obviously have to flip the pillow after a couple hours but I don’t mind. The material is everything I dreamed it would be. I might look into their sheets too! Overall I’d recommend everything comfort wise besides the topper. Specifically for hot sleepers I’d mainly focus on the pillow case and sheet. My boyfriend isn’t a hot sleeper at all and came to bed last night and said the bed itself under the covers was too cold for him that he had to put on some layers. Thank you EVERYONE for the comments! I honestly learned a lot through everyone sharing their experiences! Definitely worst comes to worst I will be getting that bedjet but as of right now I’m getting to a comfortable spot! THANK GOD! I’m so excited to be sleeping better again. It’s still summer weather here so I’m even more excited to experience this bed in fall/winter. Everyone mentioning talking to my doctor - I see her in November and will definitely be bringing up the issue just to be safe! Thank you for the concerns and advice. The next time we move, we are 10000% getting rid of the memory foam mattress. I wrote down the mattress recommendations so thank you for that! I’m already ordering the pajamas everyone recommended. I had no idea sleeping naked can actually make it worse. I really wanted to like bamboo pajamas, I really did. Everyone raves about them online, says they’re so buttery soft, and brands like Little Sleepiest seems to have a cult following. So I bought a pair of Little Sleepies and… I’m just not blown away. It’s not very impressive to me, I guess. They aren’t terrible but I wouldn’t buy them again. I wanted to be wowed and I was let down. I rate them lower than average, like a 4/10. First of all, the sizing seems weird. Do they deliberately make their sizing run big so that people can say “my X month old is still in their 0-3 pair of pajamas!” Because the sizing is way off other non bamboo clothes in my opinion. Also, my baby always gets overheated in them, even when it’s chilly inaide. Not sure how that is possible when the fabric is so thin but it is. They say the feet fold over and they do, but it’s not functional. The baby’s feet leave the designated socks area and end up flapping around in the legs part of the sleeper outfit. If I fold the ends up over the baby’s legs, or leave red marks because it’s so stuff against my baby’s legs. They’re really tricky to get on and off for diaper change. It takes way longer than regular onesies. A couple of the designs are cute, but most designs I see on sites aren’t that great. And I’m someone who likes bold, colorful print! But most aren’t really that cute to me. The fabric also doesn’t seem nice enough to justify the cost. I really wanted to like them. I was ready to be obsessed. Can someone explain to me what I’m missing or change my mind? I’m open to changing my mind about it if I’m not seeing some perks.
