feel like this cut makes me look like a grandma
EDIT: thank you everyone for all of the nice comments. i was just in shock from losing length. i don’t think it’s a bad cut at all just a huge change for me. i think it will grow out nicely & appreciate all of the comments 💕 went to a curly salon & she cut basically all of my hair at the nape of my head & now i just look like a grandma & i want to cry :-( i feel like she definitely didn’t need to cut that much :-( the last picture is before the cut it looks good and full all around & im just so upset… pls tell me if im tripping (just the length makes me feel like a grandma not the overall style) cause I WANT TO CRYYYYY i hate looking like a grandma. anyway my routine is shampoo & conditioner hydration biolage line leave in cream design essentials & designme yellow bottle curl line i use a denman paddle brush to detangle (best brush imo) i wear a bonnet every night & have a satin pillow case. submitted by /u/LivelyCouture to r/curlyhair [link] [comments]

Don’t listen to the Pantene hate
Believe me when I say I’ve used every popular salon grade shampoo & conditioner there is. Shu Uemura, Redken, Oribe, Pureology, Amika, Olaplex, Biolage, Bumble and Bumble, K18, Kerastase. And while these products aren’t all bad I really think none of them have done my hair as good as Pantene & the L’Oréal EverPure collection(Not pictured here). I use the Wella Fusion Intense repair conditioner paired w the Pantene shampoo but I ran out so I’ve been using Pantene conditioner in the meantime and it works just as good as Wella does. submitted by /u/suggabunny to r/longhair [link] [comments]

Biolage hydrasource
I saw someone else also shared not too long ago and I thought I would post my own review. I have fine hair (and a lot of it), and it is fairly dry. I have struggled to find shampoo and conditioner that I truly like. I had remembered liking this brand a long time ago and I’m not sure why I stopped using it. My hair is also completely my natural colour as I haven’t coloured it in years. I have been using the hydrasource shampoo and conditioner for about 6 weeks now. I was losing a surprising amount of hair in the shower before this, and I’m finding I have now significantly reduced that issue since switching to this, which is a relief. It’s much less dry and softer than usual. It has a fresh scent which is not overpowering. Very happy so far! submitted by /u/onelove_ to r/finehair [link] [comments]

Biolage shampoo/conditioner replacement?
My MIL gave me this biolage shampoo and conditioner when we went to visit her and I have grown to love it, but it was about half full when she gave it to me. I looked it up and it is far out of budget for me. I find that it helps with frizzy and tangly hair, what kind of shampoo and conditioner do you think is similar, or that you think works for you? Preferably under $20 for each bottle Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/sadcrumbs7 to r/Haircare [link] [comments]

FINALLY found holy grail shampoo & conditioner
I see people mention that they appreciate when people post their success/when they finally find a product that works great for them. After scouring reddit, trying to sort through all the recommendations, what's hype, what's real, what will work for me, etc. I finally found the game changing product for me- Biolage Hydra Source Shampoo & Conditioner. I have had issues with having to use so much shampoo to make it suds, my hair tangling like crazy when washing, hair still not feeling silky after conditioning, scents I dislike lingering for days, and overall my hair just looking "stringy", never smooth & shiny like others. This shampoo & conditioner + the verb ghost oil has made my hair look & feel like my dream hair for daysss- 10/10 recommend. https://preview.redd.it/ksag2u9sx7eg1.png?width=1650&format=png&auto=webp&s=3bf6dd5c985bfaa1219068818e101ecff37ba551 submitted by /u/Plenty-Net3589 to r/finehair [link] [comments]

Any experience with Biolage Scalp Sync?
I normally use Paul Mitchell Moisturizing shampoo, r+co conditioner and Davines cleansing cream, but the cold weather is already doing a number on my scalp. It’s dry & itchy, and extremely annoying between washes. Anybody have experience with this shampoo and conditioner. Is it worth taking advantage of the jumbo sale, even though I technically don’t need anything? Thanks! submitted by /u/nilsiniloo to r/Ulta [link] [comments]

I used Dove? Hello??
I don't know where else to rave about this. I was kiiind of a hair snob, if my products weren't expensive they weren't doing their job. Nexxus, Biolage, Olaplex, etc. Then I was given Dove shampoo as kind of a "here I can't take this, you take it" type of deal. Dove body wash, lotion... all great. But the shampoo? $4? Eehhh.... but I tried it. It actually held up close to Nexxus Clean and Pure, which was my favorite go-to. Plus the scent was better (shhh). But still I went back to Nexxus for the next few years. Then I decided I was sick of using the same shampoo as my daily driver. I did a tiny bit of research and found people were raving about Dove--Google, YouTube, here--and I decided to give it another try, only instead of the Daily Moisturizing, I'd use Intensive Repair. I heard it was "intense" and "heavy" and while I don't think it's either of those things--my hair actually feels lightweight right now--everything else is true so far; my hair is silky smooth, it never was before, and combing my hair while blow drying was never easier. So if you're thinking about switching brands, want something a little easier on the wallet, give Dove a try. I never thought I'd rave about cheap hair products. submitted by /u/Acrobatic-Comedian43 to r/Haircare [link] [comments]

Please recommend shampoos, conditioners or any other product and a routine if needed :/ (TL;DR in the end)
I had straightened my hair in the picture but they looked like this after some time. My hair is super frizzy and dry. Right after a wash, it looks straight when wet but dries into wavy, undefined curls..frizzy and tangled like a proper ghonsla. It feels rough and looks dull. Detangling is a daily struggle…there’s too much hair fall and it’s getting thinner and weaker over time. Even when I try to straighten it, it doesn’t get properly straightened and whatever little effect I get hardly lasts for even a short while. I don’t know if it’s my hair, the straightener or the weather. I’ve never coloured my hair..only straightened it. I honestly don’t even know my exact hair type..maybe 2B, 2C or Type 3? I’ve used these shampoos in the last 1-2 years: 1. Minimalist 2. Biolage 3. L’Oréal Extraordinary Oil Nourishing Shampoo 4. Indulekha Bringha Shampoo I also used rice water (after shampoo) for about 2 months but didn’t really notice any difference. And strangely now, conditioners don’t make my hair soft either..I’ve tried L’Oréal and Biolage but my hair still feels dry and rough. (I always thought conditioner, no matter the brand, would at least make hair a little soft?) If anyone could pls recommend a good shampoo, conditioner or other products or a routine that could help with frizz, dryness, thinning and this hairfall..I’d be so grateful🥹 TL;DR: Frizzy, dry, rough hair that gets wavy and tangled after drying. Hair fall + thinning. Straightening doesn't help and doesn't last. I had straightened my hair in the picture but they looked like this after some time. Tried multiple shampoos (Minimalist, Biolage, L'Oréal, Indulekha), conditioners don't make it soft either. Rice water didn't work. Hair type maybe 2B/2C or Type 3..not sure. Follow up on that previous post about Cécred…
There was a post earlier that asked “why were people buying Cécred”. The comments ranged from “it’s expensive. I don’t like celebrity brands. I hate Beyoncé because she practices witch craft”. It’s cool to have opinions but some were just absolutely appalling. It’s also important to note that different stores located in different demographic areas will not buy it (suburban versus metropolitan). Ive seen this first hand - the products were sold out at a store in my area that was located in a diverse metropolitan/urban area versus a store located in a predominately white town. Background: Beyoncé mom, Tina Knowles, is a licensed cosmetologist that ran one of most successful salons in Houston in the 90s. Tina and Beyoncé worked with scientists to create this brand and formulate the perfect products for ALL hair types. If you need more info about the science back research, google it. I like to share my review. I’ve been using Cécred since it launched in February 2024. I started out with using the travel sizes because I didn’t want to waste money on a product that I didn’t like. For reference, I have 3c/4a natural African American hair that I wear in silk presses, braids, sew in, etc. This product has drastically changed the health of my hair. Before using this product, I would use Matrix, Redken, Biolage, Keratase, you name it. The products were…ok… but they didn’t provide enough strength AND moisture that my hair desperately needed from my weekly silk presses and occasional protective styling. Cécred gives me that ultimate balance between moisture and strength. I see less fall out, breakage, and frizz. The products are concentrate so a little goes a lonnnggg way. I also can make my silk presses last two weeks without needing to add additional heat to my hair. Not to mention, the products smell so dang good. I’m happy that ULTA carries the brand now so I can acquire points and use my points. This is my second round of shampoo, conditioner, and edge restoring drops. I’ve used everything in this line and love all of it. submitted by /u/Imtherightkind to r/Ulta [link] [comments]

Hairstylist input on fine oily hair
Get the sulfates. Babe. I promise. Please use a shampoo with SLES (sodium Laureth sulfate). I can’t tell you how many clients come to me saying how greasy and oily their fine hair is and the nice, expensive shampoo they use makes it worse. I’m not kidding. 9/10 times I put them in a. Sulfate shampoo and they literally call me the next week saying I’ve changed their lives. HOLY GRAIL SHAMPOO - Redken Hair cleansing cream- maybe not daily use but 1-2x a Week. I can’t live without this one. It’s technically a clarifying shampoo but it’s so gentle. I have bright red colored hair and it’s still color safe. Salon quality: - Redken Extreme Length - Redken Volume Injection - biolage full density - Wella Invigo brilliance Drugstore: - Garnier fructis pure clean (very stripping so use sparingly) - garnier fructis grow strong - Elvive dream lengths - Elvive hyalauronic acid Also try a liquid conditioner! It’s life changing for fine haired girlies. Obviously these are generic recs, but I wanted to give a few. No one can say I haven’t tried…
Cleaning my shower today. These are all the shampoos/conditioners I currently have in my shower. I have baby fine hair with a thinner density and getting worse due to perimenopause (46F). I have made the investment and feel like I’ve tried everything. Top 3 I’ve found for my hair are the Lanza Keratin Healing Oil (back with gold cap), Lanza Healing Color Care (cover the gray every 5 weeks with a few highlights), and the Redken ABC. Underwhelming for me the Kerastase Genesis and KM Angel Rinse. With as much as I’ve spent on hair products, I’m researching the irestore hair cap and wanting to pull the trigger. Anyone here with experience with a red light cap? submitted by /u/Zone6Nobody to r/finehair [link] [comments]

I found the holy grail for oily hair!
UPDATE: beautyplussalon.com has this on sale for $20.80 plus an additional 15% off with coupon code BPS15 https://www.beautyplussalon.com/biolage-scalp-sync-oil-balancing-serum-1-6-oz I don’t post much but I had to share this magic serum for preventing oily hair. Let me preface by saying I think I’ve tried it all. I tried baby shampoo, it works but felt too drying actually, I couldn’t get a brush through my hair even after conditioning. Clarifying shampoo makes my scalp itch if I use it too often and I’ve done the dry shampoo thing but i can’t stand how my hair feels after using it. Then I found Biolage scalp sync oil balancing serum. It is simply amazing! My hair looks full and oil free the next day and only a tiny bit oily the third day. submitted by /u/joemama67 to r/finehair [link] [comments]

This community actually saved my hair!!
Quick back story: I M19 with curly short-medium hair moved to Bengaluru last year and my hair health went down the drain. Hair fall, dandruff, itching, you name it I had it. I initially went the all-natural route. I got a bottle of Bhringraj oil and started using it. Then i saw a video on youtube about Reetha, Amla, Shikakai powder shampoo. It looked promising and I tried it out and replaced it with my shampoo and conditioner. That was a bad bad decision. I get that all natural is good but you need something to actually cleanse the scalp. My hair was falling like crazy, my pillow was full of hair, my comb was full of hair strands, my hands were full of hair strands when i washed my hair. Because of that, i kinda developed a small hairline haha. At first, I was really terrified but at one point, I just accepted my hairline and focused on reducing the hairfall so I can save my hairline. That is when I discovered this community. I went through a lot of posts and gathered all the info I had. I did the following things: Shaved my head: I know people say that it won't cure your hair problems but I felt like i needed a new start and I think you can focus more on your scalp when you shave your head completely. When I was getting my head shaved. I saw incredible amounts of build up on my hair. This was probably because of my mistake of going all natural for my hair. Bengaluru has hard water and when you wash your head, a lot of these minerals and stuff build up on your scalp. The natural powder shampoo I made did not a good job cleaning all this from my hair and it kept on building and building. Using RO water to wash my hair: This was a literal life saver. I think it is the most effective way to solve your hair problems. I didn't buy a tap filter because it was kinda expensive and I am a student and live here alone and don't take money from my parent haha. I know wasting drinking water is bad but only 5 litres is good enough for someone with short hair for a shampoo and conditioner wash. I wash my hair 2-3 times a week so 10-15 litres of water. I bought a bisleri 5 litre bottle and then I keep filling it up when i have to wash my hair. If you use it carefully, 5 litres is more than enough. Use normal water for the rest of your body, just RO water for your hair. Castor and Rosemary Oil: I saw lots of people recommending rosemary oil for hairfall and thought of giving it a try. Since rosemary oil is an essential oil, I used Castor oil as a carrier oil to dilute it. I didn't exactly know the proportions so i was just eyeballing it in the beginning but that was a mistake. I initially used 4-5 drops of rosemary and my scalp had a stinging sensation. I then reduced it to 2 drops and that was the sweet spot for me. Too much rosemary oil can have adverse effects so try out with 1-2 drops and see how it works. I used this Rosemary OIl and this Castor OIl. Castor oil is very sticky so do not make the mistake of using it overnight. it will ruin your pillow and face. I applied this 3-4 hours before washing my hair. Ketomac Shampoo and Biolage Conditioner: I went back to the chemical route haha. Many people recommended it for dandruff, and BIolage Conditioner was recommended for hydration. So i thought this is the perfect combo and ordered it. I apply the shampoo and keep it on for 3-4 minutes. Till then, I massage the scalp. I wash it off then apply the conditioner and leave it in for another 5 minutes. I massage again and then wash it off. That is pretty much it. I started this routine about a month ago and my hairfall has completely vanished and dandruff is gone too. My hair is still very short as I just shaved my head a month ago. I had budget constraints so had to make this as cost effective as possible. All the products are cost effective and will last. I did not go for the minoxidil route as i saw too many side effects and did not want to use it without a prescription. I guess i don't need it anymore haha. Lastly, I am so thankful to this community. Lots of the youtube videos on youtube are just paid promotions of really bad products and you'll end up worsening your situation more. I got so many insights from here. This routine is going to be pretty helpful for others too I am sure. Also, if you feel anything is wrong in this routine please do let me know. submitted by /u/Rehaan23 to r/IndianSkincareAddicts [link] [comments]

My curly hair journey
I have been growing out my hair and experimenting with different products/drying methods for a few years now. In shower: biolage smooth proof shampoo (sometimes) and biolage smooth proof conditioner (every time). After shower: bb. straight blow dry balm, curlsmith weightless air dry cream, color wow dream coat for curly hair, and kerastase curl manifesto oil. To dry, I diffuse using a product called a hot sock with the blow dryer set to cool and low. I struggle with maintaining curls for multiple days and keeping hair moist. submitted by /u/Susan-Lewis to r/curlyhair [link] [comments]

Biolage shampoo and conditioner
I have searched the sub and it convinced me to buy biolage hair mask but I have not found much on shampoo and conditioner (I'm aware it has silicone and I prefer that) according to my hair type. My brother's hair- • Hair strand- medium (dry scalp and dry ends) • Curl type- 3B (they're shiny when he washes it the next day it loses all the luster) • density- medium to high • porosity- high ( given it's short so can't say much plus lives in hottest area of Madhya Pradesh) rarely any frizz. My hair- • Hair strand - medium (dry scalp and dry ends) • Curl type- 2B ( takes it's original texture the next day in short looks better next day, becomes more manageable and lustrous) • density- High (frizzy sometimes) • porosity- low porosity near scalp, High at the ends (rarely style my hair using heat). • climate- normal/ not so humid I am using this shampoo shampoo it works alright nothing extraordinary. Please recommend something that makes my/his hair soft, shiny and manageable. Note- my brother has relatively longer hair than usual guys so detangling while preserving the curls is also an issue. If you have any other recommendation feel free to recommend. submitted by /u/issa-newbie to r/IndianSkincareAddicts [link] [comments]
