Congrats to those involved. Mando movie has broke even its production budget in its first weekend.
With marketing and other expenses, I am guessing it needs 300M~500M to be considered a success. For a sequel, may need to hit above 600M? Now the real fun begins. 🤗 submitted by /u/Jurong_West to r/StarWars [link] [comments]

Figuring out budgeting
I’m a first year teacher in 20k credit card debt on a 0% APR card until January 2027. I made a few dumb moves to get to this point, but I need to make a plan to finally solve my credit card debt dilemma. My salary (3.1k per month) allows me to pay down about $800-$1000 per month if I’m lucky with this budget. I’ve stopped using credit cards since last week and am trying to work off this budget. I would just love to hear from anyone who’s been in a situation before like this or even anyone who has any advice otherwise. Thanks in advance to any advice! submitted by /u/ManyLingonberry7894 to r/debtfree [link] [comments]

I'm so used to budgeting I find it wild others don't budget
I'm so used to living on a tight budget first by force and now because it is just smart that I got shocked when my friend went in debt to buy a watch and eat out every day. I honestly think that I live quite a good luxurious with my 650$ a month budget. Sure I don't have a car, I don't travel or eat out or eat fancy food but I make it due. I would never imagine buying a smart watch or a small luxury of life just to go in debt. And not be worried about it submitted by /u/imperfectly_lia to r/budget [link] [comments]

Budgeting
I just recently moved into my first apartment and laid out my monthly expenses in the attached picture. Are there any ways I can lower these bills in any capacity? I live in New York State and am on a 10 year repayment plan both for my federal loans and private loans (which are through parent plus). The private loans are killing me and my parents refuse to help in any sort of capacity. $521 after bills is a little too close to paycheck to paycheck for my liking, especially considering how expensive gas and groceries have gotten. I'm planning on getting a roommate to cut the rent/utility/Internet Bill in 1/2 and I do qualify for PSLF which I'm looking into. I'm not exactly sure how PSLF works if I'm already on a 10 year plan, so any insight would be appreciated! submitted by /u/Projectcell to r/povertyfinance [link] [comments]

Simple ( Low Budget ) World Building - Brought to you by the Very Same Show!
This was an incredible cold opening from Season 2. We follow a troubled young man for a solid minute. We see his daily routine, we see the Stormfront Merchandise, we listen to his podcasts, we see the paranoia build. This was such a simple and effective way of letting the audience know about the world. We don't need huge crowds, but an inclusion of something like this would of gone such a long way. Instead of Dogknott and Sheline, I'd love two normal, every day civilian characters, totally removed from the Main cast, That some sort of insight to the public is thinking, and what's happening beyond our main characters, sitting around and talking about the plot. submitted by /u/MonsterMashGraveyard to r/TheBoys [link] [comments]

$60 grazing table for 30 people (on maternity leave budget)
I’m currently on unpaid maternity leave, so I had about $50–75 to work with for ~30 people. I ended up spending around $60 total (plus some fruit and odds/ends I already had at home). I was honestly so nervous putting the charcuterie board together. I had to use sliced cheeses, stretch everything as far as possible, and just hope it came together in a way that felt full and pretty. But it actually… worked. I did salami roses + a “river,” folded the cheddar to give it more dimension, and filled in with crackers, pretzels, dried fruit, nuts, and everything I could layer to make it feel abundant. I also made homemade whipped fresh herb butter and strawberry chia jam to add a little something extra without spending more. When I stepped back, I almost cried. It looked like something I never would’ve thought I could pull off on that budget. The best part though— The bride-to-be was completely blown away and so grateful. A bunch of the women kept coming up to comment on how beautiful it was (I’d say at least a third of the room). And one of the women helping set up told me she expected “just a tray with some meat and cheese” when she heard a friend was making it… and was genuinely shocked (in a good way) when she saw the full table. That honestly meant everything to me. I really wanted to give my best friend’s daughter something special, even if I couldn’t spend much—and I’m so glad I was still able to do that. submitted by /u/MokaMama to r/Frugal [link] [comments]

Unpopular opinion: most budgeting apps are waste of money when a spreadsheet does the same
I know many are using YNAB and Monarch but I’ve used both of them and always ended back in a spreadsheet. It was always something: the banking system randomly breaks down, you never understand how numbers are calculated because it’s behind a wall or you end up paying a fortune in a year. With something like a standard Google Sheets spreadsheet or Excel built-in template you get it for free. Even if you use a more powerful template like FinancialAha, Vertex42 or a spreadsheet from Etsy you pay a small fee once and then use it forever. It’s yours and you have full control over your data and you can easily make whatever change you want. And no third party has access to your bank data. Am I the only one feeling this way or are other spreadsheet lovers here too? If you use an app, why keep paying a monthly fee? submitted by /u/St3fanHere to r/financialindependence [link] [comments]

Kristi Noem budgeted 220 MILLION dollars for self-promoting photo shoots.
To me this seems like yet another siphon of taxpayer dollars. The 401jk community makes higher quality memes than that photo shoot. The system is broken and trying to drain us dry.
