Took my car for mot yesterday to a garage I’ve not used before. Went on dvla website today and saw it failed before passing. The cause…. The air freshener hanging from the mirror which they’ve now put in the cupholder. The failure comment on mot history was “Driver's view of the road through the swept area of the windscreen significantly affected by an obstruction” Seems excessive surely. Hey everyone, I've been reading this group for a while, and just like you, I've been trying to find a car air freshener that really works. I wanted something that doesn't just cover up smells, but makes my car smell great for a long time. And I wanted something long lasting than cardboard trees. I finally found something awesome, and I had to share. It's a company called www.scense.us They make really nice car air fresheners that smell like famous expensive perfumes, but for your car. The freshener itself is a cool-looking glass bottle you can fill up again, and it clips to your vent or hangs from the mirror. The best part is that they use strong perfume oils, and last easily for 5-7 weeks. I've had mine for weeks and it still smells great. I'm not connected to the company or anything, I'm just a happy customer and wanted to tell other people who like car scents about it. It costs a bit more than a Little Tree, but I think it's worth it because of the quality and how long it lasts. In the end if you replacing trees every few days, this freshener would be much cheaper. I thought this may be a good place to post! I was recently doing a Google search for the best car air fresheners/scents and was very underwhelmed with the results. It lead me to car detailing subreddits and a lot of the fragrances were Cherry or car detailing scents which I’m not a huge fan of personally. I am a fragrance girl from my person to my home— I don’t like super overpowering, slap-you-in-the-face perfumes for myself or candles/fragrances for my home but I like to smell nice and for my home to smell nice and inviting. Only makes sense I would like my car to smell nice as well! I have tried the B&BW car vent clips and am underwhelmed by their fragrance, if any at all. I am curious what your go-to, decent longevity, favorite car fragrances are? Have you had a product in particular that people get in your car and say “woah, it smells good in here!”? Thanks so much for any leads!! My new crosstrek is already losing its new smell which is super unfortunate, I love the new car smell. I'm just not sure what kind of air freshener is best, I've only ever used the cheap ones from Walmart in previous cars.
