Whatever happened to the Confederations Cup? I read FIFA replaced that with the Club world cup. I give my son cooked carrots every other day. I cut the carrot in 4 parts like finger food and cook it soft. He very likes it and there is no constipation problem since.

My kids had a blast pulling these out! We left a bunch more for harvest because I know we won’t eat them all that fast. An entire basket! Next time I plan on thinning them out when tiny because many were too close together. I grew so many variety packs that I have no idea what is what but they’re very sweet. I followed Kenji’s recipe for carrots and oh. My. Word. I did them at 183 for 1.5 hours but would probably do 2 hours next time for a bit softer carrot. I was browsing through askreddit one day and stumbled across a thread discussing healthy snacks. One of the top responses was carrots, with every other comment replying with how delicious they are. I was dumbfounded, and wanted to make a 10thdentist post about it but I missed every Friday. Carrots have the worst texture imaginable, you have to keep chewing and chewing and chewing... You know how Cows masticate, i.e. they store undigested grass for a long time and chew it up later when they get the time? That's what it feels like to eat carrots. Then there's the texture, they are simultaneosly rough and smooth. It's hard to describe unless you've felt it. And it's agonizing to get through. And then there's the taste. On the best of days, they taste like absolutely nothing. At their worst, they have this ever so slight bitter taste that leaves a worse aftertaste. I'm not gonna lie. My hatred for carrots was probably because my dad forced me to eat them every single day and I hated them then and I still do now. I will acknowledge that I am biased. So I have done low carb/keto before, and have never tried to stay away from carrots, loved them, tended to be a filler food in much lunches. I realized the little baby ones are bread to have a higher sugar content so i steered clear. But I looked at the calorie facts today 5f of carbs FROM SUGAR!!! I eat a 5lb bag containing 28 servings in a week. That is an extra 120g of carbs EVERY WEEK that I eat them in my lunch. I only noticed because I had a cheat day this weekend and was not back with ketones in my urine yet (this is my first time on keto measuring for them), so first I thought the cheat day fucked me over, but the longer I stayed out of it I am wondering how many stalls, plateaus, failures to lose in the past have been due to my habit of eating carrots like a rabbit.
