Rasasi Hawas Line-up Review
The Hawas line started with one ridiculously successful sweet-fresh fragrance… and then Rasasi kept expanding it into every direction possible. Some flankers actually improve the DNA. Some feel like experiments. And a few honestly feel like “Hawas wearing a different outfit.” One thing almost all of them have in common: strong projection, noticeable sweetness, and attention-seeking performance. Hawas for Him What it smells like: Fruity aquatic + cinnamon + ambergris sweetness Review: The OG beast. This thing basically helped popularize the loud “fresh but sweet” style in the Middle Eastern designer market. The opening is fruity, aquatic, spicy, and VERY synthetic. But in the air? It works ridiculously well. People around you usually smell “fresh sexy perfume” rather than the harshness you notice up close. Modern noses may find it a bit dated now because so many brands copied this DNA afterwards. Still performs like a monster though. Compliment machine. Hawas for Her What it smells like: Fruity florals + creamy musk + soft sweetness Review: Very easy-going feminine scent. Fresh fruits, soft florals, musky sweetness… nothing difficult or challenging here. Feels youthful, clean, and attractive in a very mainstream way. The kind of fragrance that almost nobody will hate. Not niche-smelling. Not artistic. Just pleasant and wearable. Hawas Ice What it smells like: Frosted apple + citrus + aquatic sweetness Review: This is what happens when Rasasi takes OG Hawas and cleans it up. Still loud. Still sweet. But smoother, fresher, and more modern. The fruity sweetness feels colder and less syrupy. There’s a sharp icy freshness running through the scent that makes it easier to wear in heat. A lot of people genuinely prefer this over the original now. It keeps the addictive Hawas DNA while feeling more refined and less “bubblegum loud.” Probably the safest blind buy in the whole men’s lineup. Hawas Fire What it smells like: Spicy sweetness + smoky amber + warm woods Review: This one feels aggressive. The opening is sharp, spicy, slightly alcoholic, and honestly a little chaotic. But the drydown becomes MUCH better. Warm amber, sweetness, slight smokiness… it starts feeling darker and more addictive. Definitely not smooth luxury perfumery. More like raw energy in fragrance form. Some people will love the intensity. Others will think it’s too loud and synthetic. Hawas Elixir What it smells like: Thick vanilla amber + sweet tonka + dark gourmand warmth Review: This is Hawas after eating an entire dessert buffet. Dense, rich, sweet, warm, and HEAVY. Performance is insane, but balance can feel questionable. A few sprays too many and it becomes suffocating. The sweetness leans almost chocolatey at times. Very clubbing/night-out energy. Not versatile at all. Cool weather only, honestly. Hawas Kobra What it smells like: Citrus + ginger + tea + musky woods Review: Easily one of the most hyped Hawas flankers recently. And yeah… this is VERY close to the Louis Vuitton Imagination style DNA. Bright citrus, spicy ginger, clean tea note, smooth musk underneath. Smells expensive in the air. But reactions are EXTREMELY divided. Some people think it smells luxurious and addictive. Others think it smells like premium soap, lemon cleaner, or hand wash. Performance is absolutely nuclear for a fresh scent though. Probably one of the strongest fresh fragrances Rasasi has made. Honestly one of the best modern releases in the lineup if you enjoy the Imagination DNA. Hawas Malibu What it smells like: Pineapple citrus + creamy tropical woods Review: Beach resort fragrance. Bright tropical sweetness with creamy undertones that make it feel relaxed and vacation-like. The pineapple note gives it a cheerful energy without becoming childish. Very easy to wear casually. Performance is weaker than most Hawas releases though. Starts strong, fades quicker than expected. Still one of the most fun summer flankers in the line. Hawas Tropical What it smells like: Coconut + creamy fruits + tropical sweetness Review: This one goes FULL vacation mode. Creamy coconut, fruity sweetness, suntan lotion vibes… there’s nothing subtle about it. Some people will absolutely love the tropical creamy style. Others will think it smells like expensive flavored sunscreen. Not very versatile, but definitely has personality. Feels more playful than classy. Hawas Verde What it smells like: Mint + citrus + green herbal freshness Review: Probably the freshest Hawas. Very green, cooling, energetic kind of scent. Feels like crushed mint leaves mixed into sparkling lemonade. Less sweet than most flankers which honestly helps a lot. Doesn’t smell super luxurious, but smells extremely refreshing. Amazing hot-weather type fragrance. Hawas Viper What it smells like: Dark spices + woody musk + masculine sweetness Review: This one tries hard to feel dangerous. Dark spicy sweetness with a rough masculine edge. Less smooth than Black or Ice. More aggressive and edgy. Honestly feels like a nightclub fragrance made for confidence rather than elegance. Not very versatile, but definitely stronger in personality than some safer flankers. Hawas London What it smells like: Fresh spicy woods + aromatic sweetness Review: Very designer-style fragrance. Clean, modern, versatile… but also kinda familiar. Feels like Rasasi blended multiple popular designer DNAs together into one safe crowd-pleaser. Nothing offensive. Nothing groundbreaking. Easy daily wear. Probably one of the most office-safe flankers. Hawas Atlantis What it smells like: Marine freshness + salty musk + watery woods Review: This one pushes the aquatic side hard. Fresh, watery, salty, clean. Honestly smells more like luxury shower gel than an actual complex fragrance. Very linear too. But in brutal summer heat? It works. Feels sporty and refreshing rather than artistic. Hawas Black What it smells like: Pineapple + grapefruit + oakmoss + smoky woods Review: Probably the most respected Hawas among fragrance enthusiasts. This is VERY clearly inspired by Nishane Hacivat / Aventus-style DNA. Bright pineapple and citrus in the opening, then heavy oakmoss and woods take over. It smells darker, greener, harsher, and more aggressive than the original Hawas. And yeah… the opening can be REALLY sharp. Some people absolutely love the rugged masculine energy. Others think it smells harsh and earthy. But performance? Beast mode. This stuff projects hard, lasts forever, and smells extremely powerful in the air. Definitely not a safe blind buy though. Hawas Pink What it smells like: Sugary fruits + airy florals + soft musk Review: Bright, playful, sweet, feminine. Very social-media-friendly type fragrance. Feels youthful and easy to compliment. Not much complexity here — mostly just pretty fruity sweetness all the way through. Very easy to wear casually. Hawas Diva What it smells like: Creamy white florals + vanilla musk Review: More mature and elegant than Pink. Smoother floral blending, creamier vanilla, softer overall feel. Still mass appealing, but less playful and sugary. Feels more polished and dressed-up. Very feminine without becoming overly loud. Hawas Eclat What it smells like: Citrus florals + clean musk + soft woods Review: Clean-girl aesthetic in perfume form. Fresh, airy, musky, and slightly elegant. Not very sweet. More “luxury shampoo and skincare” vibes. Very office-safe and daytime-friendly. Some people may find it too soft or generic, but it smells clean and polished. Final honest takeaway The Hawas line is basically Rasasi experimenting with different ways to make loud, mass-appealing fragrances. Some flankers genuinely evolved beyond the original. Others feel repetitive. But when Rasasi gets it right… they REALLY get it right. * Worth trying: Hawas Ice, Hawas Black, Hawas Kobra, Hawas Malibu * Best performer: Hawas Black * Best modern freshie: Hawas Kobra, Verde * Most mass appealing: Hawas Ice * Most unique: Fire, Verde * Safe but basic: London, Atlantis, Hawas for Her * For specific taste: Tropical, Viper, Black * Most overrated nowadays: OG Hawas for Him submitted by /u/Ok_Background_8973 to r/DesiFragranceAddicts [link] [comments]

Please help me figure out a nice outfit I can wear into the office! (Casual PhD office)
Hello! I recently started a PhD and now work in an office with other students. There is no real dress code by any means, people wear outfits ranging from jeans and a T-shirt to long summer skirts and dresses to a suit! But everyone else in the office looks nice and put together. I never look nice and put together. I really really dislike so much about my body, and so all I’ve I’ve been wearing for years is big T-shirts and sweatpants which I feel conceal me somewhat. But now I’ve started this PhD I feel like I actually want to dress more like an adult and start looking a bit more put together. But whenever I try to dress ‘nice’, I just feel like everything looks awful on me, and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I tried on a bunch of stuff to see if I could plan some easy ‘go to’ outfits that actually look ok. I’d really hugely appreciate any help or advice about which of the outfits I’ve tried here looks best. It might also be helpful to know what silhouettes might work best on me. I think almost any input would be helpful tbh, I’m lost lol. And thank you to anyone who reads this! Sorry for the slight wall of text 😅 submitted by /u/ThowRA_FloorGremlin to r/DressForYourBody [link] [comments]

What are the "cool girls" in your life wearing so far this spring?
I noticed that all the hip young women at my work are all wearing midi dresses this spring, no more knee-length dresses anywhere, and hardly a maxi. Same thing at a fancy cocktail attire wedding I went to - all the hip young "hot" girls were wearing midi length slinky slip dresses with a slit, whereas in the past at such an event I'd have seen more mini dresses. And of course for casual wear - wide leg pants or jeans with a boxy white tee or something with some minimal sneakers. A tiered flowy white cotton skirt for casual/dressy. Those seem to be the "uniforms" I'm seeing all the people in my life at work, among friends, family, on the street, etc., who are the type of people who always look put together and fashionable. It's weird that I haven't seen midi length very highlighted in any 2026 spring/summer content I've been looking for. I'm so sick of videos and articles and stuff that just look like they are rehashing fashion shows. I like content that feels like a cool older sister is showing you her actual closet. I like Anna Reid the best for this - she tries the stuff on how she would actually wear it out in the world, shows a bunch of street style pics in the real world, shows of a bunch of outfits relatively quickly, but the Youtube videos are long enough to enjoy, etc. I wish I could find more content like hers. What are you seeing the "cool girls" in your life or on the street wearing for spring? submitted by /u/IncognitoResearch111 to r/femalefashionadvice [link] [comments]

What brands are you shopping for cute summer outfits?
What brands have items that can recreate these casual summer looks? Specifically looking for beautiful skirts and most likely flattering tops, boat neck, round neck tops or off-the-shoulder!✨💫 I love how the skirts aren’t tight and, flowy? They give off such an effortless elegant vibe! I love beautifully made skirts that make me feel more feminine, I’d love to know what brands you’re shopping at?!❤️ Any suggestions? Would love some colorful options, and more monochrome looks with black or white ❤️ submitted by /u/MagnoliaPetrichor to r/XXS [link] [comments]

My [29/M] girlfriend [28/F] refuse to wear a dress to my brother's wedding (or anywhere else if that matter)
I am not The OOP, OOP is u/SteelStrawberries My [29/M] girlfriend [28/F] refuse to wear a dress to my brother's wedding (or anywhere else if that matter). TRIGGER WARNING: sexism Original Post Feb 8, 2016 I [29/M] have been with my current girlfriend "Lisa" [28/F] for a little bit more than 2 years. She's a self-made woman, incredibly successful in everything she does, work, sports, etc. She the most intelligent, kind, funny, generous person I have ever met. Each and every day I am amazed at the luck I had to get such a girl to love me. She's a very down-to-earth girl, and prefer the outdoors to fancy outings. She hates everything "fussy" and she's a bit of a tomboy. I never saw her with makeup, or with something fancier than a ponytail. She's self employed and mostly wears jeans, t-shirts and hoodies, even wearing dress pants and a blouse for meeting clients is a huge event. Since my previous girlfriend was a typical girly-girl pink princess fashionista drama-queen (don't get me started...), I find Lisa extremely refreshing. As for our relationships, I moved in to her house last year, and was thinking about proposing sometime next spring. However, with the current state of affair, I don't know what to think about, well, everything... We've been invited to my brother's wedding. It's a very formal, black tie event in the classiest venue around town. When I told Lisa we would have to go shopping for clothes, she expressed her disdain for "formal" events. I jokingly told her I was looking forward to the wedding so I could see her for the first time all dressed up, in a beautiful dress, heels, hair done etc. She looked at me like I told the least-funniest joke in the history of mankind and said she's not going to wear a dress. Period. No discussion. I said it's a black tie event, so every woman will wear a dress. She said I don't understand. She doesn't wear dresses or skirts. She doesn't wear makeup. She doesn't wear heels. At first I thought I could persuade her, but she the queen of stubbornness (one of her bigger qualities sometime becomes her biggest fault). I talk about her reactions to her parents, they laughed at me when I told them I might be able to persuade her to change her mind. They told me the last time Lisa wore a dress, she was maybe 5 years old and even then it was an hassle to get her do it. After that, she threaten to disrobe if someone forced her to wear a dress. Even her beloved grandparents couldn't convinced her to wear one. Her friends told me the same things, they stopped trying long ago. I tried to have a serious discussion with Lisa to find the source of her disdain against dresses and skirts. Maybe there's a hidden trauma or something ? I probed and asked, all I can get is "I don't wear dresses because I don't like wearing dresses. Same thing with heels and makeup". Everyday it's the same reason over and over. I thought maybe it was some weird case of body shame, which would be a shame in itself because she has a killer body. I tried this approach but she saw right trough my strategy and assured me she know she would look stunning in a dress, she just don't wear dresses. I even offered to pay for it, she laughed again because she makes way more than I and could easily afford any dresses she like. I also offered a trade. She could make me do anything she want, any "improvement" she wish on myself in exchange of her wearing a dress to my brother wedding. She simply answered that she'll never ask for someone to change something about themselves for her, because she would hate being asked the same thing. Yesterday was breaking point. I was tired of not making any progress and simply plead to please wear a dress for a couple hours, it's a small sacrifice, everybody will be happy to see her there and after that no more dresses I swear. I was on my knees at this point, nearly crying. Her answer hurt more than I could care to admit, she said "I am not wearing a dress to your brother's wedding. It has nothing to do with your brother, nor with you or anyone else for that matter. I don't wear dresses because I don't like to and nobody will change that. I put up with you those last weeks hoping you would get the message, but at this point and I am annoyed beyond end that you don't understand. Now hear me : if I can wear dress pants and blouse to the wedding, I will attend. If I have to wear a dress, then I'll have to tell your brother and her fiancee that sadly I cannot attend their wedding due to personal circumstance. " Then she stopped for a moment, took a deep breath and said "you know... those last weeks really made me reconsider us a as couple. I understand your point of view and I know how frustrating I can be, but my decision was made way before you were even in my life. Another episode like that would probably means the end, at least for me... I thought about breaking up with you during those last week to be honest, but I couldn't do it, I didn't have it in me to throw the last two years to pieces because of this.... I don't know if it means the end for us, you have all the rights to be angry at me and wouldn't blame you if you leave." I've slept on the couch last night, just to be alone and think. Lisa tried to change my mind but I told her I needed some time by myself to think. She let out a sad chuckle and told me that I'm welcome in our bed anytime I want, and said she's not angry at me. I've already RSVP to my brother and told him we will be there, as a couple. My brother and his fiancee absolutely adores Lisa and I know they will be disappointed if she cannot makes it, as are my parents and most of my family. But even more than my brother's wedding, it leaves me worried about our future as a couple. We had two years of pure bliss. I understand couples fight sometime, but such a huge fight for something as petty ? What does it say about the strength of our relationship if she was nearly ready to break up with me because of a dress ? Deep down inside me, I know a potential breakup would devastate me. I had my share of failed relationships, but never was with a girl like Lisa. I know it would be rough for her, but she wouldn't be destroyed like I would. And this hurt more I think. I know she loves me (and everybody who knows her told me I must be something special for her to considering a long term relationship with me, everyone was beyond surprised when she offered I moved in with her). So I don't even know what is my question, precisely. Maybe someone could offer some outside perspective ? Are we doomed to fail ? Should I just accept her quirks and live happily ever after or should I move on and find someone else ? tl;dr: Girlfriend refuse to wear a dress to a formal event because she don't like wearing dresses. I tried to convince her, there's talks of breaking up. TOP COMMENTS ScrollButtons Sounds to me like she's not the only stubborn one. Look, she doesn't want to wear a dress or makeup or heels. There is literally no precedence where she has worn these things. She doesn't want to do it. She's willing to compromise with an outfit that will match the occasion (if not your expectations). From an outsider's perspective, yes you're being ridiculous and trying to fit her into a mold that she won't fit into. She's made it abundantly clear on how she stands with the issue and is now getting (rightfully) upset that you are ignoring her boundaries. Buy a dress for yourself if you want to be half of a couple where one person is wearing one. Otherwise, leave off or you'll lose her. ~ lonnielee3 You knew she only wears slacks - you knew it soon after you met her, when you dated, when you moved into her home. You KNOW she only wears slacks. So why did you put so much energy into trying to change a decision she made when she was 5 years old? If she has habits that are detrimental to her (or your) health, then that's one thing to be concerned about. But if she chooses her style to not include dresses, well, that's her decision. Frankly, I'm sorta surprised she hasn't kicked you out of her house yet. ~ slinky999 Tomboy here. I rarely wear skirts/dress or makeup, and never wear heels, so I'll offer you my perspective. You say you love your GF, and you don't want to change anything about her, but here you are trying to change her. You knew she was like this when you got together with her, and you're trying to beg/plead/cajole her into doing something you know she doesn't like. And you refuse to take no for an answer, even when threatened with breaking up. What really is the issue here ? Is it that you think your family will look down on you for having a GF that doesn't want to dress up ? Do you think your family/friends will laugh at you when your GF isn't all gussied up like the other women ? What is the problem with her wearing dress pants and a blouse ? Do you think that will reflect badly on you, are you not attracted to her in her preferred clothes, or do you simply look at her choices with disdain ? You say you accept her exactly how she is, and in the same breath you're trying to change her. This is not ok. Either you accept her or you don't. Which is it ? You are showing a profound lack of respect for her and her wants and needs. You knew this is how she was when you started dating her. You pushed and pushed and bribed and whined when she wanted to do exactly what she's always done. If you don't see the issue with that, then I'm not sure how much Reddit can help you. EDIT: The answers in this thread made it painfully clear I was in the wrong all the time, and for the wrong reasons (two wrongs don't make a right... never have I best understand it than now). I will go home and tell Lisa I am sorry for being so stubborn about a stupid dress and that I'll never ever try to get her to do thing she don't want just because I'm afraid to be ashamed or that people will laugh at her. Then I will call my brother and tell him that Lisa plan on wearing dress pants and a blouse to his wedding, and if it pose a problem well we'll have to pass. I cannot thank everyone enough for the perspective your answers gave me. What I thought was an huge problem was just me being a dick. And I agree with everyone in this thread who said I have bigger issues about myself to deal with. Being told so frankly by random internet stranger is more humbling that I thought. Update Feb 10, 2016 (2 days later) UPDATE : My [29/M] girlfriend [28/F] refuse to wear a dress to my brother's wedding (or anywhere else if that matter). Update from this post So this is an update about the previous post about my [29/M] girlfriend [28/F] refusal to wear a dress to a wedding. I went back home after work Monday night and first thing I did was to apologize for my behavior to Lisa. I told her I was really sorry for pestering her those last weeks to make her do something she didn't want to do. I told her I realize it's doesn't matter at all for me if she don't wear a dress (true, she can rock absolutely anything and be stunning) and that I was more worried about what my extended family would think of her (and myself, by ricochet). It's something that's obviously very important for her, and not important at all for me, I should have respected her choice. She also apologized for telling me she thought about breaking up, because even if she did thought about it, she couldn't go with it, and it was unfair to let me know, especially as mean to end our arguments. From the answer in my first post, nearly half said she was in the right and I was childish, and the other half said I was in the right and she was childish... I was apparently downvoted to hell by both parties too ! Well I agree with everybody. The fact is, Lisa is stubborn, it's part of who she is, and it's part of why I love her so much. Without the stubbornness, Lisa wouldn't be Lisa and it's perfectly fine with me (we're not perfects but she put up with my flaws too) Also in my previous post, some people were outraged at what she offered to wear, describing it at business casual. I saw the outfit and it's very formal : black flowy pants...someone called them "palazzo pants" I believe, white satin blouse and a long black cardigan-like thing that doesn't close in the front in a very fine material with some sparkle in it and shiny black leather flats (sorry about the terms, woman fashion isn't something I really know). So back to Lisa on Monday night... She said we should ask my brother and her fiancee if they are comfortable with her wearing pants, because it's their wedding so they should have the last word. So yesterday I called them and told them about it. My brother quickly passed the phone to her fiancee, since she's in charge of those things (he don't care at all, if it was only for him, he would have eloped). So I asked my brother's fiancee and she said that she would have been more surprised seeing Lisa in a dress than her showing in pants, and that it wouldn't offend her at all. We're both agree some people may try to make some negative remarks, but it's the general consensus that Lisa can handle that without trouble. And that anyway, knowing the extended family, everything that is not up to their standard will be a scandal, so what's a pair of pants gonna change. So were are going to my brother's wedding, me in a tux and Lisa in her outfit (which, according to my brother's fiancee, is A-W-E-S-O-M-E). And since we were all in wedding discussions, I told Lisa I was planning to propose sooner than later. We are going shopping for rings sometime after my brother's wedding. As for our wedding ceremony, we agreed on having a small ceremony next summer at her family cottage with our grandparents, parents, siblings and close friends (maybe 30 persons total). Since it's on a small island in the middle of lake nowhere, we have the perfect excuse to have a small, casual and intimate ceremony. Honestly, we couldn't fit everybody there even if we wanted to. Everyone else will receive a postcard from our honeymoon destination saying we happily married on XX date and please don't send gifts. tl;dr: Apologized to Lisa for my behavior and she apologized for what she said to me. Brother and her fiancee don't care at all if she wears pants to their wedding.... And we're getting married next summer. Summer work rotation! Extremely casual corporate offices with no dress code (fashion brand, many midriffs showing daily). 3x a week in-office
Hey y'all! This is my summer capsule rotation with outfit examples for a very, very casual corporate office. There's no dress code, and there are folks wearing far more experimental clothes than this daily! This capsule is quite conservative actually! I wanted to share, since it's a unique workplace. This capsule does honestly feel kind of simple and subdued compared to how cool everyone else dresses, but I love it! Let me know what you think, and if there's anything that could be added or culled! submitted by /u/HorseGirl666 to r/capsulewardrobe [link] [comments]

AITAH, for calling out my husband for changing up the rules in our open marriage?
I am NOT OOP, OOP is u/Princessprotect Originally posted to r/AITAH AITAH, for calling out my husband for changing up the rules in our open marriage? Trigger Warnings: controlling behavior, obsessive behavior Mood Spoilers: frustrating Original Post: October 17, 2024 I (35f) am in an open relationship with my husband (36m). It was over the summer he mentioned it to me. I wouldn't say I was totally for it but it took some getting used to. Now everything is going great but recently my husband keeps changing the rules. Once I started dating Evan (45m) that's when he started acting differently. My husband and I agreed on a dont ask don't tell policy but, keeps pestering me about the details of our relationship. I give him a little here and there but never the explicit stuff. Everything positive I mention about Evan he downplays or critiques. Last week, I planned a date with Evan and asked him to watch the kids. He agreed. He was to get back home by 9 but texted me to say he's doing overtime that night. I was left scrambling for a sitter at the last minute. This isn't the first time he has done this. Luckily this time I got a hold of a sitter but I could not stay as long as I was hoping for. Afterwards, he acted as if everything was okay. He began policing me when I left the house and began picking my outfits apart. Expressing concern about how the neighbors would perceive me. To avoid conflict, I started wearing jackets to cover up before heading out. Then came the issue of Evan dropping me off. He worried about the neighbors seeing a strange car pull up at night. This forced me to do lunch dates. It wasn't a bother. I would bring my laptop to Evan's and work at his place. However, I preferred the dinner dates because I got a chance to dress up more. Changing up the times seemed to alleviate some tension but I still feel like I was compromising too much. He didn't even want me to drive to the dates but when Evan pays for an Uber or drops me off it's an issue. It makes no sense. The breaking point was when Evan sent flowers to the house. My husband lost it claiming it's dangerous for a strange man to know our address when we have kids inside. I will say he was right about this. I did drop the ball however, he insisted that I shouldn't bring home any gifts at all going forward, arguing it violated our don't ask don't tell rule. He used to joke about me not getting chivalry in my open relationship and now that I'm getting dates it's a big deal? I asked him if he doesn't take the women he sleeps with on dates and he said no it's strictly sex and none of that "lovey dovey bullsh**" that I'm doing. I confronted my husband about these rules and he just brushed it off like it was nothing. Saying "it's just a respect thing" I was really enjoying this but he's sucking the fun out of it and it just feels highly stressful. AITAH has no consensus bot, OOP received the majority of NTAs Relevant Comments Commenter 1: NTA. Question: Does your husband actually hook up with other women? Reading between the lines I wouldn’t be surprised if things weren’t working out for him. If this is going to work, you can’t just agree to “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and call it a day. Rules have to be in place. If he only wants sexual relationships outside of the marriage, without emotional intimacy, that’s a fine rule IF you agree to it. It’s also fine to change the rules after they’ve been established, but that should be based on a conversation where everyone is on the same page. He shouldn’t be able to change or establish the rules on his own and get mad that you haven’t been following them. OOP: I think he does he dresses up on the weekend to go out and comes in late. We both agreed to Emotional intimacy/ ONS/ casual. It’s just the nitpicking that’s too much. I don’t mind having a discussion but when I’m met with “it’s not that serious” that’s when I get pissed. Commenter 2: What are the rules in your arrangement for theses side relationships? It sounds like you are dating one person, which is an emotional connection and he is hooking up with various women and not entering into relationships? OOP: We are okay with emotional connection, one night stands or casual hookups. He says he doesn’t do dating just sex. That’s what works for him. For me I can’t do casual or one night stands. Mentally just too much for me. Commenter 3: Dating is emotional intimacy though. Dating is literally getting to know someone on a personal and yes emotional level with the end goal of something serious. Again, the guy sent flowers to your house knowing that your husband would be there. At the very least, you need to break it with Evan as that alone is such a red flag. He should have known something like that would cause problems for you with your ACTUAL husband. If the rolls were reversed and your husband was getting gifts delivered or something of the sort, how would you react? OOP: I am aware of that but we are allowed to date other people. He himself said it was cool with him if I dated. Evan and I had a conversation and he knows I’m not going to make this a permanent thing. I did tell him sending the flowers at home was a bit too much. He still buys me flowers but he keeps them in his apartment for me when I’m at his place working. I wouldn’t mind if my husband received presents, I mentally prepared my self for months before starting this. While he was out dating the 2 weeks after proposing the idea I was at home getting used to the arrangement. Does OOP's husband have problems with her dating? OOP: He has no problems with dating. Evan isn’t the first guy I have dated before in our arrangement. Commenter 4: Are you poly or are you in an open relationship? Because to me, you are dating this other man, and if he is sending you flowers, you are not just fucking but it has feelings involved, and if that is the case, can you have another relationship while married? If you are poly, then that would be fine, but for me as fare as I’m concerned, you don’t get feelings involved and move towards a full blown relationship in an open marriage. You have your fun he has his. So depends on the rules of this open marriage on if yta, or nta. OOP: There are no feelings involved Evan and I had a discussion. He’s just very thoughtful and kind that’s it. Plus I enjoy getting dolled up and trying new restaurants. He isn’t the first guy since opening the relationship and I doubt he will be the last if we continue this. Has OOP's husband met someone? OOP: Husband claims that he met a guy who is happy in his. I don’t know how true that is based on everyone replies and the truth bomb statistics. I guess it’s not true. Additional Information from OOP after reading comments OOP: We are both allowed to date and hookup…… We both agreed to either an emotional connection, hookups and casual. He didn’t mind, Evan isn’t the first guy. My husband says he can only do sex, no emotional intimacy, that works for him but I can’t do casual and he knows. That was our agreement.   Update: July 4, 2025 (8.5 months later) You guys were right, this was a shit show. I'm not sure where to start but we are getting a divorce. He infact did not change and became way more possessive and controlling while changing the rules. Everything I did was either wrong or inconsiderate. Evan had planned a weekend trip to Cabo to celebrate a new business venture. I asked my husband if he was okay with it weeks in advance. He enthusiastically agreed mentioning I deserved the trip he even told me to make sure I "flood his phone" with pics. I told him I was going to stay with Evan the night before for easier commute, he insisted on taking me to the airport instead. Since it was our last night until Tuesday. However, when it was time to leave he overslept! Despite urging him to get up to the point that I pulled the covers off and turned off the air he spent an entire HOUR in the bathroom. Then to make matters worse he didn't fill the tank!! I told him the evening before. I called an uber which was another hour late but luckily I got to enjoy my trip. I let it slide and moved on. Boy oh boy I wish I never went on that trip because things got worse. It's like I was being punished for the trip. He became incredibly invasive in my personal relationships. He wanted to know what my sex life with Evan was like. If he was better etc. he used to play it off like it was not a big deal to him then I caught him snooping through my phone. It was too much. I didn't understand because Evan was no longer the only man I was seeing but Evan triggered him the most. If that wasn’t enough he had his friends over for boys night, I was getting ready for girls night. Before I left he said out loud “ You’re really gonna leave me to go fuck him” in front of his friends! The embarrassment and humiliation I felt, even typing this. I just sat in my car and cried so much and that’s when I knew it was done. He apologized mentioned he was drunk. I don’t buy it one bit. He has never acted like this. This open relationship has left me drained mentally and emotionally and it wasn’t even my idea to begin with. I have filed for divorce but he keeps begging for reconciliation but I can’t. Before anyone comments I know you told me so. Sigh. Relevant Comments Commenter 1: You said in your first post that you had a “don’t ask, don’t tell policy” and he switched it up.. was there any other rules? Like ok you can have a fwb or one night stand? Because you were basically in a relationship with Evan… I’m not trying to sound like an AH, but it is a good thing you guys divorce, because from how you wrote Evan isn’t the only one anymore shows how much you’re really not ready to settle down anymore and just want to do your own thing, which is fine, but at the same time, please be safe. OOP: There were multitude of rules that kept getting changed to fit whatever conditions he wanted in the relationship. We kept having discussions over and over and when I asked if he wanted to close he said no. Commenter 2: But was it said it’s only to be sex or you can have a significant other besides your spouse? It’s not right, but sex is one thing, having a full on partner that you confide in, have sex with and even go on vacations with is completely different IMO… OOP: I was allowed emotional intimacy (dating) alongside sex . He doesn’t like the relationship aspect, he’s more of a casual one night stand guy. I cannot do that, I need to foster an intimate relationship with others and he knows that! I asked him weeks before about the vacation and he was “happy” for me. This isn’t our first time taking a trip but it’s the first out the country. He could’ve been transparent and communicated that he didn’t want me to go! There are many times he’s voiced his concerns and I listened. I followed the rules he just didn’t like the outcome. OOP responds to a longer comment regarding the open marriage rules OOP's husband has set up OOP: After my first post we discussed the rules and I was allowed to have a full blown relationship. I was always allowed that’s our definition of emotional intimacy, a relationship. The rules have been modified many times. I didn’t care to update Reddit because I didn’t think it was anyone’s business. I have asked him countless of times if Evan was a bother to him, he said no and even went as far as saying he prefers when I’m with one person vs multiple which is strange since he gets with multiple people. If he wanted me to stop speaking with him he should’ve been transparent instead of passive aggressive. I told him the minute he is uncomfortable he should let me know! Even though he’s doing I still love him deeply, I like Evan but he could never compare to my husband. OOP and her husband should seek couples counseling OOP: No need for counseling since we are getting a divorce. I would never want to be married to someone who cannot communicate. There are many personal details I left out. Remember you don’t know me and my husband nor our dynamic just the UPDATE TO A POST! What he did by humiliating me and sabotaging every chance wasn’t right! Whether he was angry or not. Emotional manipulation is never okay. With that being said thank you for the response but this is my last one. Commenter 3: Why get married to have an open marriage? No judgement, just curious. OOP: You would have to ask him since he was the one that suggested it.   DO NOT COMMENT IN LINKED POSTS OR MESSAGE OOPs – BoRU Rule #7 THIS IS A REPOST SUB - I AM NOT OOP submitted by /u/Choice_Evidence1983 to r/BestofRedditorUpdates [link] [comments]

AITAH for struggling to forgive my husband for his petty revenge on me? I feel CRAZY
Husband (34M) and I (32F) have been married 6 years. 2 months ago I stopped him from going on a bachelor’s trip with his long term school friends. I was okay, and was kinda looking forward to him having fun, until I learned he hid the fact that they would be doing a lot of adult themed activities (think strippers and happy end massages) as a part of their itinerary. It caused a huge fight as we’ve always maintained that this is a deal breaker for me and the fact that he hid it from me made it worse. He argued that he only did it because of my tendency to “overreact”. And of course he wouldn’t engage in those activities but that didn’t mean he couldn’t go. I would’ve been fine with him going if he told me about their itinerary and trusted the fact that he would keep away. What he did broke my trust and the only way I could see him earning it back is if he voluntarily told his friends that he couldn’t come. Which he did. At the time he looked really apologetic and we made up, he took me to shopping and all was good. I bought some fashionable outfits and was looking to wear them ahead of summer. Where we live, it was still a little cold and I didn’t get to immediately dress up in the clothes I just bought. Also, most of my summer clothes had shrunk in the washer so I practically only had my oversized casuals and these clothes I had just bought. Few weeks later it starts to get warmer and as I slip into my new dress, it feels tight. I’m confused. I just tried them on in the store and I’m a size 14 (as the label on the dress said) so no, I didn’t get the wrong size from the store. Then another dress was tight, same with pants and other tops. I start feeling absolutely crazy. Had I just put on so much weight in a matter of a few weeks that my new dresses didn’t even fit? I’ve always been a bit sensitive about how my body looks and I remember telling my husband how excited I was about these new clothes that look so flattering on me. I felt so good in all of them. And now, they looked so hideous on me. I start crying on the floor. I was too embarrassed to tell my husband this. I thought he must’ve noticed if I’d put on weight. I was a wreck. I was feeling crazy for a few weeks now. Even the clothes that I had before felt tighter. I don’t know if it was placebo or really, but it didn’t help. My husband few days ago during dinner said he wanted to confess something. He was snickering while saying this and what he said absolutely crushed me. He said that while I was gone to see my sister (who had just had a baby) for a week, he had secretly taken all my outfits that he knows I routinely wear and gave them to the local tailor to make them a size or two smaller. He said he paid him generously to stitch things faster. And said sorry but it felt like a funny payback for what I had done (stopped him from going on a trip). I said that wasn’t funny, he made me feel crazy, I was crying and screaming at this point. He severed my sense of self and made me feel ugly. Eventually I tried to be okay, but I am not. I’m still reeling from what he did as a petty revenge. It’s been some time since he confessed, and offered to get them stitched back to original size. I’m struggling with what he just did. I want to forgive him. I never knew how resentful he was of me about that trip. Maybe it’s my fault. I should’ve been more trusting. I knew he would never cheat. In my heart I knew he would keep away. And from his POV, his petty revenge on me probably feels deserved. I would be mad too if he stopped me from doing something I was looking forward to do. But still, if you were me, how’d you feel? Has anyone had their spouse do petty revenge on them? TLDR: My husband and I had a huge fight because he hid that his bachelor trip involved adult-themed activities, which I consider a deal-breaker. He agreed not to go, and we made up. Later, I discovered my new clothes were too tight and felt like I'd gained weight. Recently, my husband confessed he had secretly taken my clothes to a tailor to make them smaller as petty revenge for stopping his trip, thinking it was funny. His actions crushed me, and although he offered to fix the clothes, I'm struggling to forgive him. How would you feel if you were in my place? Has anyone else experienced petty revenge from their spouse? submitted by /u/throwradressessize to r/AITAH [link] [comments]

Capes should be THE fashion statement of 2020; don't bother to change my mind.
Imagine. Capes. Once restricted solely to those of royal lineage, and supernatural beings (or of course your rare rich guy),should become the fashion accessory of 2020. Although capes are not A) readily accessible in a variety of styles and colors and B) Socially acceptable to wear any time other than Halloween, we should make them happen. Capes are not only a way to keep warm in the dead of winter, but also they make you feel truly badass. Also capes can be considered casual OR formal. We can have sheer capes for summer and spring, wool and velvet for fall and winter. Capes can spread to each and every corner of the globe. I mean, you could have one for every outfit. Different patterns, colors, shapes, sizes etc. Edit: Since everyone seems pretty on board... https://www.reddit.com/r/TheCapeRevolution/ lets do this shit submitted by /u/thecluelessclarinet to r/unpopularopinion [link] [comments]
