Differences between BB and CC creams? Looking for least coverage and no spf
I have tried so many countless products. I’m 40, I have very dry skin, including eczema, fine lines around my eyes, cannot find one tinted moisturizer or BV or CC cream that has yet to go on and stay on without patching, flaking, etc., etc. regardless of how many moisturizing steps I use to prep (and I start putting on these layers while my skin is still damp to ensure locking in of moisture). I also am using hydrating skin preps and tried different layering techniques, just end up with the same results each time… Patchy coverage, flaking around certain areas, and just feeling even less confident than when I began! Any help appreciated! submitted by /u/Sea_Squirrel7999 to r/Makeup [link] [comments]

Best sweat proof skin tint/bb cream/ foundation with SPF
With summer right around the corner, I'm looking for the best skin tint/bb cream/cc cream/ foundation that provides at least medium coverage, has SPF and is SWEAT PROOF. I'm usually dry but as soon as it gets hot I sweat like a pig so I need something with decent staying power. I'm also in my mid 30s so I'd like something lightweight that won't settle into my pores, fine lines and wrinkles too badly. Foundation that does well on my skin (recently) is the Wet n Wild Photofocus Dewy foundation and the Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Serum foundation. submitted by /u/alliexdork to r/drugstoreMUA [link] [comments]

I am about to crash out!!! 😭
I feel like I have spent hundreds of dollars on skincare products, primers, setting powders, setting sprays & literally anything to fix this ongoing issue. I don’t sleep with my make up on. I wash it every night & do a milky toner, a serum & a night time moisturizer. I use a face wipe in the morning & then do a milky toner, gel moisturizer, the primer (feels like I’ve tried everything! Even the holy grail elf primer). I let each layer dry before moving onto the next & nothing is working. What’s worse is, once this starts to happen if I try to add even the slightest amount of foundation it becomes an absolute disaster & literally peels away the whole layer. What do I do?! Where am I going wrong. I’m at the point now where it’s making me more insecure to wear makeup vs. not because of how awful it looks. **UPDATE** first off, thank you everyone for some direction & words of encouragement! I think the reality is that as I’ve hit my mid 30’s, things “change”. I’ve went many years without makeup & after having my daughter 3 years ago I developed acne & it caused some scaring & resorted to make up. These are the products I grabbed today, I was looking for the IT bb cream but the color I needed was out. The versed was a better suited color for me (the elf was too peachy/pink). If anyone has recommendations for a more olive yellow undertone bb cream please share! • VERSED SKIN SOLUTION MULTI-SERUM SKIN TINT SPF 40 BROAD SPECTRUM SUNSCREEN • BYOMA MOISTURIZING RICH CREAM Tri-Ceramide • CAMO CC CREAM • POWER GRIP MATTE PRIMER • MORPHE ALL BASES COVERED set. I can’t add a picture of what it looks like after 3.5 hours but I am much more satisfied with how it looks! submitted by /u/LadyLuna_13 to r/makeuptips [link] [comments]

Ugh my post was cut short — What is your FAVORITE FACE SUNSCREEN? Preferably with an SPF of 30 or higher! ☀️
I have to re-do this because my story was incomplete after I posted it! Grrrr. I am 34F constantly on the hunt for my holy grail sunscreen. The problem??? Chemical sunscreens tend to break me out within the same day (like after I wash my face, I see the breakout). It’s not ALL chemical sunscreens, but for me, it’s most of them. 😭 Personally, mineral sunscreens do not break me out! However, I really like that chemical sunscreens get absorbed into my skin and can have some cool skincare benefits! Ugh. I have tried so many, sooooo many. This is some of my collection 🫠 For reference, I am pale. I tend to stay out of the sun. In my 20’s, I was a sun-bather. I was always glowing and tan. I got pregnant at 28 and continued to bask in the sun for an hour a day, unprotected. The result?? MELAMSA. Thank GOD one of my old high school friends informed me about Melasma and told me to wear my sunscreen. Unfortunately, it was too late and the damage was done. Yes, I have done multiple rounds of hydroquinone cream from my dermatologist/ compound pharmacy. Sadly, my melasma comes right back after a few short weeks of clear, even skin. My next step, and hopefully my FINAL step, will be laser treatments. I’m so sad and insecure about my spots. They are ALL over my face now, they seem to spread as time goes on. Fml. So naturally, I love me a tinted or lightly tinted sunscreen for my face. Right now, what I typically grab in the mornings is — Naturium “Dew Glow” Moisturizer with SPF 50 (chemical). I also really like TIZO “AM Replenish” Lightly Tinted SPF 40 (mineral), SkinBetter Science “SunBetter” Advanced Mineral Protection SPF 75 (damn this one is like FULL coverage tho.. and expensive as shit), and Supergoop “Protec(TINT)” with SPF 50 (hybrid, with zinc oxide, homosalate, and octisalate). I truly would love to read about some of your favorite sunscreens that you tend to reach for daily. I’m open to anything!!! Ideally I’d love a tinted sunscreen that does not burn my eyes (looking at you, Neutrogena), that isn’t ORANGE (looking at you La Roche, sorry I’m pale AF), and doesn’t break me out…. But that’s to be determined upon application and a wear-test lol! 🥴 submitted by /u/michpilk to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

Daily-Use SPF/Tinted Moisturizer/SPF Foundation/BB/CC Cream
Need a rec for a daily-use tinted moisturizer, cc/bb cream, or light foundation that contains mineral SPF, and offers light to medium coverage. I've used the Supergoop Mineral Mattescreen, but am hoping for something with more luminosity. Basically I'd like 2 in one--either a foundation/SPF combo or a tinted moisturizer/SPF combo. I also use chemical SPF, and I don't like to layer more than 2 products. Mature, mid-50s skin with sun damage. Thank you! submitted by /u/Ambitious-Serve-2548 to r/Sephora [link] [comments]

Holy grain cc cream for Rosacea
Fresh out of the hot shower (can’t give it up) and had a flare up. Never had such a lightweight cc cream that completely covers my rosacea flair ups. One half of my face is applied with less than a dot of the IT Cosmetics “your skin but better” cc cream and the other half is bare. It’s expensive but this bottle will last me a whole year as you barely need any. It’s also 50 SPF and doesn’t break me out. submitted by /u/Mack_fish to r/Rosacea [link] [comments]

low scented tinted moisturizer, CC, or BB cream with spf?
Total newbie here. I've never worn any makeup in my life. As I've gotten older my face has started to have more redness and unevenness. It's fairly dry. I currently only use a moisturizer and sunscreen on my face in the morning. I'm looking for recommendations for something lightly tinted with SPF to help moisturize and even out my skin a bit. I'm not interested in a whole makeup routine. I prefer things that are low/no-scent. Any suggestions on what I should try? submitted by /u/birdzwordz to r/40PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

Recommendations for Korean foundation, tinted moisturizer with SPF, or BB Cream?
Ok I am totally late in the game. I did not know BB Creams are basically so 2010's lol. What is popular right now for Korean cover up that contains SPF? I'm so lost as to what people are actually using nowadays? I don't have time for social media so I'm like way behind. Please let me know, whether that be Bb cream, CC cream, foundation, cushion powder, pressed, etc whatever whichever is popular and good product please let me know. Mainly I just want it to have spf. Added benefits are a plus obviously but not necessary. I'm totally open to suggestions. submitted by /u/goingtofly101 to r/koreanskincare [link] [comments]

I’ve heard good things about Erborian CC and BB creams, so I figured I’d give them a go. Has anyone got the perfect regime down with these? Is it the usual moisturiser, SPF, and then a dab of CC or BB cream? I’ve even seen some people mix the two? Keen to get your views/reviews!

CC / BB cream that matches Paula's Choice Super-Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30?
I love the shade that the tinted Paula's Choice SPF gives, but I don't want to wear it as my main sunscreen as I need a sunscreen with 50. Does anyone have any recommendations for a product that's the same shade / feel, but as a BB or CC cream (or even sunscreen)? I'm mainly using it to cover up my redness from rosacea. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/MarcusMagnolia to r/AsianBeauty [link] [comments]

My Stylevana haul just arrived!
Can you tell which sunscreen I like? Lmao. I’ll admit I was a bit worried about my package making it through customs because there were 35 bottles of sunscreen inside, but fortunately it made to me with no issues! Haul includes: • OMI Sun Bears Active Protect Milk (32 bottles - 4 packs of 8 as offered on Stylevana’s website.) • Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner (This will be my second bottle because my first one is starting to get low.) • Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Milk (trial size - sold as a duo with the mini gel version) • Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Gel (trial size - sold as a duo with the mini milk version) • Bioré UV Watery Gel (I have oily skin and the essence was too moisturizing and felt greasy on me, so I wanted to try the gel version.) • Lion Pair Acne Cream (Never used this before but wanted to try it.) • Melano CC Vitamin C Brightening Essence (Also never tried before but wanted to.) • Biodance Bio Collagen -Real Deep Mask (This is that really popular overnight mask that people have been using, so I decided to try it, too. Yes, I know collagen molecules are too large to penetrate the skin, but they still help with hydration.) • Biodance Hydro Cera-Nol Real Deep Mask (Another Biodance mask with soothing and nourishing properties that I decided to try as well.) • Genabelle Melacare Intensive Cream (Free sample that came with my order. Never used before. Looks like a brightening cream.) submitted by /u/the_sweetest_peach to r/AsianBeauty [link] [comments]

[Acne] Struggled with a decade of acne and been clear for 5 years. Here is everything I’ve tried vs everything that’s worked + my current routine.
pic 1: taken AFTER my accutane course. my acne here is still much better in this then it used to be. Apologies for the low quality, I hated pictures because I was super insecure hence why I don’t have ones from before accutane either. pic 2: makeup only on my eyes and lips, nothing on my skin except sunscreen and moisturizer. My eyebrows are microbladed. FULL DISCLOSURE #1: I am not a dermatologist nor a licensed esthetician. I am a registered nurse with a basic understanding of microbiology and human anatomy who has spent way too many hours on skincare YouTube. What I’ve detailed below is what worked for me, and by no means what works for everyone else. FULL DISCLOSURE #2: I’ve had pico laser done once in office to help with post inflammatory hyperpigmentation as well as laser removal of my flat facial moles. FULL DISCLOSURE #3: I am not sponsored by, nor do I have any conflict of interest with any of these brands I list. Things I’ve tried that didn’t work (before y’all come for me please remember that I started this journey when I was like 10 😂) - benzoyl peroxide (I am allergic 😭) - spironolactone - clay masks - scrubs/ physical exfoliation (St. Ives 😱) - peel off masks - salicylic acid acne clearing pads - proactiv (the entire set) - pore strips - Mario badescu drying lotion - witch hazel - Clinique clarifying lotion - 10 step Korean skin care routine (I didn’t curate it, I just bought blindly based off of what had good reviews 🤦♀️) - snail mucin - essence and/ or toner - Chinese medicine (I don’t even know what I was taking tbh.) - not moisturizing “because I was too oily” - any type of DIY mask (lemon juice, egg, honey, olive oil, yogurt, rice water, u name it) - topical clindamycin Things that worked but don’t currently use: - Accutane (I did a 6 month course; acne came back eventually but SO much improvement in severity) - CeraVe SA cleanser - rx Sodium Sulfacetamide cleanser (cleansing with sulfur is one of the things I truly believe saved my skin. I still break out when I go without my sulfur for too long. I think it’s bullshit when people say your face wash doesn’t matter - sulfur absolutely matters for me) - oral doxycycline (worked only while I was actively using, but was worried about antimicrobial resistance) - ZitSticka Skin Discipline multivitamin capsules (genuinely helped my skin but was too expensive and was able to wean off of them over the course of trial and error x 1 year) Current Regimen AM: - cleanse CeraVe hydrating cream to foam cleanser - serum: glossier super pure (niacinamide and zinc - been repurchasing this for over 6 years now) - moisturizer: glossier after baume (my HG moisturizer: super thick and luxurious but doesn’t break me out) - sunscreen + vit c: melano CC sunscreen spf 50++++ PM - first cleanse: glossier milky jelly cleansing balm (doesn’t really matter what first step cleanser I use tbh. I’ve used banila co, the inkey list, CeraVe makeup balm, etc. as long as it removes makeup and sunscreen well I’m good) - second cleanse: Dermaharmony 5% Sulfur and 2% Salicylic Acid Liquid Castile Soap (I switched to this from using CeraVe SA + rx Sulfur cleanser because I was tired to carrying around 2 bottles as well as having to get an rx for my sulfur wash. I absolutely still need Salicylic acid AND sulfur in my regimen. - moisturizer: glossier after baume - agency skincare formula for hyperpigmentation: tretinoin 0.035% + tranexamic acid 5% + dexpanthenol 1% + niacinamide 4% - when I’m super dry, esp in the winter: Elizabeth Arden advanced ceramide capsule (I usually just use like 1/3 of a capsule and leave the rest in the clean spot for later. Glossier future dew works okay too, just doesn’t spread as nicely) + I skip my retinol for a night General rules (these are also critically important) 1. Don’t touch your face unless you’ve just washed your hands. 2. Dedicate a towel for your face and treat it like it’s sterile. Don’t use it for anything else but your face. Don’t hang it near the toilet (invisible fecal particles erupt from your toilet when u flush). 3. Change your face towel and your pillowcases at LEAST every 4ish days. I like to do every 2. I have a million old T-shirts that can be used as pillowcases. When a side gets “old”, flip it to the other side and you’re gucci. 4. Pat when you’re drying with a towel. Be gentle. Don’t rub your face ever. I also prefer to lather my face wash with a foaming net until I have a thick, dense cloud. You don’t want to be tugging or manually scrubbing at your skin. Let the micro bubbles do the work. 5. Please wash that damn makeup sponge/ brush with soap and water after every use 😩 and deep clean with boiling water if it’s safe to do so every couple of uses. I just throw my wet beauty blender in the microwave with some water in a bowl for 3 minutes every 6-7 uses (the manufacturer does not recommend this as it may cause the blender to deform or lose integrity. I’ve never had an issue. Move forward at your own discretion) Treat your makeup like it’s sterile too - only a clean brush/ clean finger is allowed to touch it. Sorry it’s so long! I hope this helps someone :) submitted by /u/plaesma to r/SkincareAddiction [link] [comments]

Good primer, setting powder, & concealer to pair with IT Cosmetics CC cream or in general?
I currently use the IT Cosemtics CC cream w/ SPF. I know ppl say silicone bases should be paired with silicone primers and water based foundations w/ water based primers. I’m not really sure what to use here, but my skin does tend to be on the drier side. Drugstore is preferred, but open to pricier options as well. I don’t actively use concealer, but would like to start, but not sure what would be good for me. I’m not necessarily looking for a brightening concealer, but something that matches the tone of my current cc cream. I’ve also noticed that my eyelids and smile lines tend to have a crease from makeup, so I’m not sure if it’s a powder issue or primer issue.. submitted by /u/Substantial-Limit-99 to r/MakeupAddiction [link] [comments]

Matte/Satin bb/cc cream or tinted moisturizer with spf?
My favorite product Tarte Shape Tape Cloud CC cream spf 15 has been discontinued and is all sold out at Ulta and taken off their site. Now I feel like I’m back at square one. I wear 12N Fair Neutral for it. I just tried the new skin tint from Versed Multi-Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 in 1C fair cool and it was very yellow. It was also kind of oily? I have combo and sensitive skin and I could tell even with powder it would be like an oil slick on my zone after a few hours. Maybe I’m not understanding how glowy and radiant differ in appearance from oily? A lot of the tinted moisturizers or bb and cc creams with spf say radiant or natural finish which to me just looks oily (on myself). I used to Missha Perfect BB Cream in 13 but the fragrance was too strong and made me itchy. I also used to use pūrlisse Perfect Glow BB Cream with SPF 30 in Fair but it kind of pilled after a while. I liked the matte finish of those two! I’m not tied to kbeauty products though. I asked the customer service chat on the Tarte website for an equivalent product to the Shape Tape Cloud CC and the one they recommended had a radiant finish. All that being said, does anyone know of a tinted moisturizer or bb or cc cream that has a matte or satin finish and spf? I would also use a foundation with spf, I’m just lazy and tend to use my fingers so thats why I’m leaning towards lighter products! I’ve been watching a ton of YouTube and TikTok reviews so I can see wear tests but most don’t seem to have spf. I also appreciate all the swatches here! Maybe I’m just too picky? submitted by /u/toobadimnotamermaid to r/PaleMUA [link] [comments]

Just wondering if anyone's tried the Cancer council tinted cc/bb creams w/ spf? I have super sensitive skin but I was also worried if they tend to oxidise and become orange tinted. Tinted moisturiser/BB cream with SPF under $50?
Hi all, does anyone have a recommendation for a good tinted moisturiser or BB/CC cream under $50 please? With a decent shade range! While more affordable foundations now have a good shade range, the SPF space from what I’ve seen is 3 shades of tan. I’m currently using the Naito one but the lightest shade pulls orangey on me :( Willing to spend a liiitle more than $50 if it’s the bees knees.
