E27 is way better than b22 design. it is more securely holding the appliances. Australia has just been crap in using b22 design for its history and reluctant to changes to it. Been using this exact fan light socket, and love it so far no issues. I'd still recommend having the e27 socket screwed into some wood instead of just ceiling gyprock.

We just moved into a new house and the upstairs doesn’t have great air flow and the primary also lacks an overhead light, so a ceiling fan seems like it would be a good option. I’m looking for something that has adjustable fan speeds, different light brightnesses or a dimmer and is as low profile as possible (I want one that attaches directly to the ceiling rather than hanging down like a pendant light). Wondering if anyone knows of a ceiling fan with these features that isn’t hideous. I came across the Vakkerlight website and, while I like the style of the ceiling fans, I don’t know the brand and am hesitant to order from their website. I’m willing to pay more for something that’s nice quality and stylish. Hello, My apartment has limited lighting and the best option is to change my current lightless fan, with a new one that has a light. Im looking for quality, meaning, a fan that is still powerful enough to circulate air though a ~800 sq ft space, has a powerful but dimmable light and preferably a remote. I live in the south. It’s hot af most of the time. I can not stand going in places where they have ceiling fans going, but set to turn backwards. So I’ve taken it upon myself to change the spin direction to push cold air whenever possible. Friend’s house? Yep. Family? Yep. Public places? Yep. I don’t feel guilty at all. House has both Zigbee and Zwave Any recommendations? Edit: Not a lot of turnkey options it looks like, I found I think a crazy deal (CAD$280 shipped) on a Modern Forms Axis 44 so gonna give it a try.
