Unhinged hack to use up the rest of a coffee creamer I wasn't crazy about...
This coffee creamer is almond cherry macaron flavored, which, in theory, sounds fun. But it was a miss for me and I didn't want to throw the rest away after using so little. I was making waffles this morning and inspiration struck. What if I replace the milk/butter/sugar for this particular creamer that is basically flavored palm oil and sugar? (Let's be real, that's what major food manufacturers mostly do nowadays anyways). To my surprise, it worked! Won't be doing it again anytime soon, but recommend it in a pinch. Plus, it was fun just to experiment. submitted by /u/TruckinApe to r/foodhacks [link] [comments]

Making my own coffee creamer instead of buying premade creamers
I spent about 20$ on ingredients to make my own flavored coffee creamer. I usually have 3-4 cups of coffee a day and have been spending about 25-30$ a month on premade creamer. I bought vanilla extract, caramel sauce, almond extract, half and half and condensed sweet milk. I believe over the next few months I can cut 10$ a month on overall creamer expenditures and still enjoy my coffee. Just another minor thing that is helping me save money overall on food budget. I also want to try drinking less coffee but I am still working on that Ingredients: 1 3/4 cup half and half 1 teaspoon espresso powder 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk ⅓ cup caramel sauce 2 teaspoons vanilla extract Directions: Add all of the ingredients to a large measuring cup and whisk until combined. Store in a mason in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. submitted by /u/Cautious-Tiger-8440 to r/Frugal [link] [comments]

New to creamers - what am I supposed to expect?
Hey Aldi fam! I bought this Barissimo caramel macchiato flavored coffee creamer today and tried it. I kinda thought it would make my coffee taste like a latte, but I didn’t really get much flavor out of it. Granted, the black coffee I added it to was the French Roast (which to me tastes too strong and overpowered the creamer despite me adding more and more). What should the expectation be for flavored coffee creamers? Is it the French Roast’s fault, the creamer’s fault or mine? Not really complaining here, just honestly curious why I didn’t really taste much if anything. Thanks guys! submitted by /u/cbrackett12 to r/aldi [link] [comments]

Whole fat milk really helps. Have a cup with lunch and dinner, easy 300 calories. One more time with a sandwhich, 450. USe it as your coffee creamer, two cups of coffee, round it up to 500 calories without noticing. That's what really helped me anyways when I've stopped having meat in any appreciable amount. #milkboy

Is there a healthy sweetened coffee creamer out there that ISN'T full of chemicals and and calories?
Look, I wish I could be one of those hardcore black coffee people—it’s clearly the “clean” choice. But let’s be real: I need a little flavor in my cup that's not full of chemicals and a zillion calories! I don’t care if it’s dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, almond, oat, or extracted from the tears of unicorns—I just want something that tastes good. Especially first thing in the morning, when my body’s still negotiating whether it's even ready to be awake. ☕️🥱 submitted by /u/HeatWave1014 to r/1200isplenty [link] [comments]

Coffee creamer ice cream
So.. I am lazy af.. Wife got the creami, and she makes these multi ingredient recipes with measuring cups and stuff.. I dont want to do that.. I just want something simple. So I tried the Fairlife chocolate milk one ingredient recipe.. it is okay.. not great. It still does not taste like real ice cream to me. I then tried egg nog. It does have the texture of a legit custard. but the egg nog flavor is just not great.. Then it dawned on me... Liquid coffee creamer is literally just milk and cream and sugar.. I checked the calories, it is roughly the same as real ice cream. So I bought a couple bottle of flavored coffee creamer that is made from real cream (not these soy oil stuff). I spinned one with just coffee creamer and nothing else, and spinned another one with coffee creamer and 4 raw egg yolk in it. Both came out delicious.. Texture is exact the same as real ice cream.. The only downside is... it does has as slight taste of unique coffee creamer taste to it.. Is there anything else I can spin to try that is just 1 or 2 ingredients? Or is there any good flavor coffee creamers I can try? thanks! submitted by /u/Maxifloxacin to r/ninjacreami [link] [comments]

TIFU by buying what I thought was coffee creamer
For context, I am an absolute sucker for anything with a seasonal flavor. I make apple cakes for family using boiled cider in the fall. It's not available pre-made in my country so I reduce fresh unfiltered apple juice for about 3hrs with some spices until it's about a honey consistency. I added it to coffee and cocktails just to see what it was like. It's fantastic and I find myself craving apple coffee often but am not willing to spend 3hrs simmering down juice. I've found a few coffeehouse where I can get apple lattes. They're only available from September through December and thus not in prime iced coffee seasons, a tragedy. So I bought a few pre-made syrups and they were all disgusting. Either sickly sweet, too artificial, or uncomfortably tart. Imagine my joy when I found out my favorite fake milk brand made an apple creamer that was actually good. Really, really good. Unfortunately it's hard to find and disappears by mid November. Plus the bottles are pretty small. It lasts until February though so I tend to stock up. It's mid February and I've just finished my last bottle of creamer. I decide to try my local Grocery Outlet, a chain that mostly sells food that's overstock or out of season stuff. I find my creamer! And it's in a big bottle! I've never seen this size before but maybe it's like a Costco size. I buy three bottles because it doesn't go bad until June. I happily make my daily iced coffee and drink it as I do my morning activities. It's delightful and I keep doing this for a few days. Sometimes even making myself a second coffee because this batch is better than normal. Until one morning I skip breakfast and while painting realise my hands are shaking. I shrug it off as just one of my health issues acting up. Until it happens again. And again. When I go to throw out the first bottle I look at it again as I peel off the label to recycle the bottle. It is not creamer. It is pre-made latte. I have been adding coffee to my coffee. Where normally I add creamer, ice, and water to my keurig small setting I've just been adding this and ice because it isnt as sweet and doesn't need watering down. I've been at least doubling my caffeine intake. TL;DR the "creamer" I've been adding to my coffee is actually a pre-made latte and I've been unknowingly doubling my caffeine intake submitted by /u/00dlez0fN00dlez to r/tifu [link] [comments]

What is coffee creamer, and why don't you use milk?
Is it similar to powdered milk, or condensed milk? Is it closer to heat treated UHT milk that can be stored indefinitely? Or is it absolutely removed from both of these? To that end, why not use milk itself? Do I have the wrong end of the stick and most Americans do, in fact, use milk? submitted by /u/toffeeskye to r/AskAnAmerican [link] [comments]

AITA for telling this strange girl to take down a photo of me drinking coffee creamer
I haven't shaved or had a haircut in months since I got laid off and a few days ago I went to the store to return water bottles and while I was there I got some coffee creamer because I was almost out. Then I got thirsty cause it was hot out and I walked to the store so I just drank the coffee creamer I had which isn't a big deal. Someone took a photo of me doing that and put it on the local facebook and captioned with a question about why a hobo would return bottles to the store just so he could buy and drink coffee creamer straight. I know who it is because she facebooks under her real name like an idiot so I found her phone number in the book and called her and told her to take the photo down and she tried to tell me that there's nothing wrong with drinking creamer or being homeless and I told her I'm not homeless and that she obviously thinks there's a problem with those things or else why would she take the photo and unless she took it down I'd start following her around and taking photos of everything she does. So she took it down, but not without a snide remark about being threatened by a hobo. submitted by /u/WoodenActivity to r/AmItheAsshole [link] [comments]
