Personally, I think give data reshaper either its 3rd charge back or giving it a faster cooldown would be cool and I think aps should be able to, bear with me, counter winch, but to balance it out in a way, winch would do significantly more damage to the aps’ health compared to like a cl40 grenade getting shut down. As for weapons, I’d love a regular pistol for Medium like M1911 or something like that, honestly idk for the other two and for specialisations, anything, please god anything to make medium more standout than just the really basic and weakest of the classes. The top 5 most requested features for BF6 Server Browser - The community at large wants a dedicated server browser, instead of a split Multiplayer Mode and Portal. Persistent servers - Again, Very similar to the server browser stuff, People want 24/7 servers - I can say with absolute certainty theres hella people who select the same maps and want to play the same maps over and over, and simply turn off the other maps. Destruction and "Levolution" - If your anything like me the severly disabled version of BC2 levolution is kinda cool but theres nothing that screams, Game changing or significant enough to change up the matches. I think a lot of people miss that feel of blowing up a skyscraper and they are afraid to admit it. Classic Systems - The return to classes from specialists was a great idea, Its stuck theres actual roles on the battlefield now, And im going to say that the closed weapon game modes are fun. And i have the most fun in these modes. Classic Battlefield Content - The return of the littlebird is a massive step in the correct direction. But there needs to be MORE. The live service model demands this, People would wait 4-6 months for a Naval Update because they know it would be coming in the next "DLC" and actively be excited about it. The seasonal battle pass model is the complete opposite. The map variety is super mixed in together and theres barely any identity in the maps, They need bigger maps for conquest and escalation and smaller maps for rush and breakrhrough. Okay so we've identified the issues, We've raised our voices since launch, Theres been complaints, Multiple posts all over social medias, Thousands of comments and discord messages. But change is still happening slow? We can kid ourselves with "development time" but they are taking longer to make content, with the best tools available, AI Access, development kits, multiple decades of experience and game testing, Multiple successful games. I for one hate giving the benefit of the doubt when theres millions invested, Huge almost unlimited access to the latest kits and technology, Theres no reason its this bad and slow, Especially for what is considered a live service game. How do the devs remedy it? Give the players what they want. Its so simple. The customer is always right. Make some polls? Do basic customer research? Where are standards? Scrap the current Multiplayer and Portal system. Merge them together. Have official EA servers with rotating maps for the current modes and debloat the modes available. Portal enables free customisation but without a dedicated player base its nothing and its just a massive hick thats getting in the way of servers being hired out - restart the classic server hire so players can just design their own servers again. This was peak BF4. Fits into the above, Get rid of this absolutely bizarre matchmaking system, and get rid of what is ABSOLUTELY the "engagement" system that Call Of Duty has had. I have a single game where I absolutely destroy the entire server going 70-25 or something, And the followed by being put in a team of the most useless bots that could be out played by portal bots. This is clearly an indicator of the engagement live service slop matchmaking system. Check it out, Before the entire playerbase leaves and the games dead in the water. Destruction - I barely notice the destruction because theres nothing you can do thats even remotely significant, There's so many opportunities they have had to have some significant system. Remember the New Sobek City rooftop campers? Why couldn't we just blow the shit out of the building and make them fight on the ground???? Siege of cairo, Defenders have the 3 lanes locked down tight? Why not blow the wall out to carve a new path? I will say, The wall in the new contaminated map was a huge step in the right direction. I think the classic systems are in a good spot, And the only further changes that should be made is moving some gadgets around for balance reasons and to help keep the identity flowing. Example; Give smokes to assault or the new recon gadget to engineer. I get it, Its a live service battlepass, new season, challenges, earn points to unlock the rewards so you can look cool on the battlefield Yeah yeah, But can we have some insight into the future? So for starters how does it work? You get 3 ammo in total that recharge honestly pretty quickly, you aim and scan through walls on in front of you for gadgets pull the trigger and the gadget you have targeted will break/detonate. If it’s a non explosive gadget you will simply get the “gadget destroyed” accolade, if it’s explosive you will get a yellow shiny “sabatoged” picture of C4 exploding. My experience? Absolutely love it, I can help my team AND TANK players so much with it. It takes up one ammo per gadget destroyed so if you are scanning 3 gadgets and you have 3 ammo it will eat all your ammo if you pull the trigger but that’s ok because it regenerates ammonia REALLY QUICK. Here’s what I did, I basically followed around a teammate tank player whenever I saw them constantly aiming and pressing the trigger whenever they were fighting other players, doing that let me automatically detonate( or Sabotage) any incoming explosives, and yes I did get kills on MULTIPLE occasions doing this. You and your team rushing a point? As soon as you get there scan around the walls with the gadget and press the trigger whenever you get a lock on. Here are a few cool moments I got kills using this gadget and protected team at the same time with it. On siege of Cairo our battle tank had an engineer keeping it healthy, a enemy tried to throw a grenade over our tank and blow our engineers up but NOPE, I was already behind our tank aiming with the suppressor and spamming the trigger, as soon as he released the grenade from his hands I donated and killed the fucker with his own grenade! On my second match with it was on contaminated and we had a tank on D point, I decided to aim with the suppressor randomly and saw 2 mines to destroy, pulled the trigger and detonated 2 mines and killed the bastard placing them down with his own mines. No sir buddy you aren’t gonna kill my tank with those pesky mines. The only negative is that people that play recon as a sniper will almost NEVER get use out of this thing, the range on it is decent not super far like the laser designator so it’s clearly designed to be a close/mid range recon to follow around your infantry and tanks and keep them safe with it. I don’t play sniper anyway on recon, I’ve never even gotten a kill with a sniper in this game anyway so it’s no problem for me. I’m a gay man living in Japan, and something happened with my family yesterday that’s left me devastated. I really need to talk to someone about it. My sister and her husband live in the U.S. Before I moved to Japan two years ago, we were extremely close. My ex and I were also very close to her family back then, so my nephew (my sister’s oldest) spent a lot of time with us. He loved coming over because we always had cool gadgets and games. My sister and her husband have four kids and live in California, so money for hobbies was tight. Over the past year, though, I’ve started noticing my brother-in-law making weird, rude comments during video calls. He used to be pretty easygoing and kept his opinions to himself, so it felt out of character. Last year, I managed to convince my sister to let my nephew (he’s 13, turning 14) visit me in Japan. I offered to pay for everything, flights, food, whatever, because he’s always talked about missing me, and I wanted to give him something fun and new to experience. Then this weekend everything blew up. My nephew was caught experimenting with another boy during a sleepover. And out of nowhere, my sister, who has NEVER cared about my sexuality, called me with her husband on the line and started accusing me and my ex of “influencing” him. She said we “turned him gay” and even worse, her husband implied I might have been intimate with him. Straight-up accusing me of being a pedophile. None of this is true. The State Of Old Mortis What makes a brawler polarizing? Draft. The more dependent the brawler is on the draft the more polarizing that brawler is. Mechanically Mortis is super dependent on draft and highly situational when it comes down to competitive and esports before his buffies. This wasn’t a horrible place for a brawler since in rank where the quality of drafts and teamwork drop significantly even in masters and pro rank, Mortis has a high amount of carry potential in the right situations. Mortis had the most mechanically toxic hypercharge that went unchecked. No nerfs to Mortis or the hyper itself, only the charge rate and later the global stat boosts. Mortis was a massive ‘gem grab merchant’ that can struggle 90% of the game but can come clutch at the last minute. Despite his toxic traits, Mortis is ‘balanced’ because he's easy to counter. Shelly, Bull, Jacky Gale… a lot of tanks & tank counters keep Mortis in check but it doesn’t address how toxic Mortis is. Hypercharge aside, another thing carrying Mortis was his old gadget ‘survival shovel’ since the gadget rework. With a cool down of 16 seconds this gadget made Mortis very toxic into his good matchups (squishies, throwers & some snipers) but overall this gadget didn’t make Mortis uncounterable. The same bad matchups are still there even though Mortis reload speed was significantly increased. The New Mortis When Mortis got his buffies there were some good changes. His mythic gear was deleted for good. Now his hyper isn’t a guaranteed teamwipe button and there's a decent amount of counter play. His reload gadget Mortis depended on was removed, there's no reload speed buff to compensate either. His new gadget “Creature of the Night” gives Mortis an extra approach tool. At first glance this gadget should make Mortis even more polarizing as he can now travel through walls and crush artillery. But I think this gadget is misunderstood. Especially since everyone used the other gadget The combo spinner gadget could charge super and hyper after the buffie change. The cool down was too short at the time with 10 seconds. Even against his counters Mortis could charge his super and perform teamwipes. All around he was too broken until his combo spinner gadget supercharge was reverted as well as a cool down nerf. Mortis has toned down significantly but remains high in the meta. The Creature Of The Night - Mortis answer against his counters “The Creature Of The Night” gadget also gives Mortis counterplay against his counters. It looks unconventional to use because of its long cool down and slow travel speed but for the first time, Mortis can run down Gale. Gale was unapproachable for Mortis since Gale could just pop twister, charge super and block Mortis again. A very comical one sided matchup has finally changed. If Gale does pop twister again, Mortis has an answer, with his new gadget he can teleport through Gales twister and run him down. No longer does Gale shut down or hard counter Mortis. His counters are still there, but Mortis at least has an ‘answer’ for them. Mortis can avoid a Chester hyper, escape an oncoming Jacky or Bull. Mortis couldn’t do that with the reload gadget alone, at least not as effectively. No matter how much you overtune the old gadget itself, Mortis will be more dependent on it while also still having the same counters with no real answer. TL;DR Compared to his previous state, theres still some toxic elements on Mortis as an assassin but I think his design has somewhat improved after the buffie change. Mortis feels significantly less polarizing but more relevant in pro play overall. You know how there’s types of gadgets like explosive, sonar, gas, etc. well I think they should add a new type called repulse, so it would just bounce them away from whatever gadget is used. I’ve got 3 concepts, one for each class. For light it would be a new ability like cloak or dash. the new one would be called the repulse gauntlet, it would be put on the right hand when equipped and if you get close enough, you can use it to launch the enemy back. You could push them out a window or off a ledge, or maybe even push the cash box. I figure it would look a lot like shockers gauntlet from Spider-Man homecoming. For medium it would be a repulse grenade, it would be a grenade that detonates on contact with any surface or player, launching them away from the explosion, again, off a ledge or into a mine, whatever. I think this one would look like one of those light grenades from blade 2. For heavy it would be a repulse mine, just a mine that launches players and objects back from the explosion, I think this one would launch the furthest out of all three. My main idea of how to use it would be if someone chases you to a launch pad, you could put the mine where they land and it would push them off the ledge. You could also just put it on the cash box. Now we are acquainted with most of our neighbors but definitely not close friends with any of them. They all seem nice but well just don't have much in common other where we live. Nextdoor to the right is a family of six, twin daughters attending the local university, high school age son and a young elementary school age daughter maybe first or second grade and the parents. Now normally we open the pool in early May and leave it keep it open until the end of October. But this year our weather was off and we had a very cool and very wet month of May and then June went straight to 100+ temperatures. I am currently on a medication that makes it difficult for me to tolerate being in the sun and heat for an extended time. Plus we have been helping two extended family members who are having health issues. So because of this we haven't had our pool opened yet this year. Normally we go to the family lake house for a week during each of the three major holidays, but we didn't go for Memorial Day because there was flooding around the lake this year, and because a family member was just discharged from the hospital yesterday and July 4th being a Thursday this year we decided to stay home this week and be available to help this family member. Now several times in June the little girl nextdoor has seen either my husband or myself outside and she has asked when we are opening the pool. We first told her maybe later, but the last time (yesterday) she asked and I said we are probably just not going to open it this year, and she started crying. Now we have never had any of the neighbors over to use our pool so I didn't understand why she was crying over us not opening our pool. Well I spoke with the neighbor on the left later and apparently our neighbors on the right have been having a small family party at our pool every 4th of July when we are gone. They have always cleaned up really well afterwards and because we have scheduled pool maintenance and weekly yard service occasionally things are moved around in our yard and we never thought much about it. The neighbor on the left thought we had given the other neighbors permission to use our pool. We did give them permission to retrieve any balls or toys that ended up in our yard, but never permission to use our pool especially when we are not at home. We have a special latch on the gate and my husband did show the neighbor how to open the gate to retrieve his kids toys. So now my husband, who loves gadgets, is going to have several more cameras installed around the exterior of our house, covering the gate and pool area. And have the gate latch made where we can grant remote access for the pool service and yardmen. Luckily we have a friend who does cameras and home automation systems. I'm annoyed our neighbors have been using our pool without permission, but my husband is happy I am letting him get more gadgets around the house. Now do we confront the neighbors and let them know we know they have been using our pool, or just wait and see if they say anything about our new security cameras? Update July 6, 2024 I don't know how to link the original post or if it is even possible. I didn't expect this to blow up like it has, certainly didn't expect over a thousand comments. I have tried to read them all, and some were very creative and amusing to read. First of all, we don’t want to hurt anyone or alienate our neighbors. We just don't want people using our pool without permission and we don't want the liability associated with this activity. A few things I feel I need to clarify. Yes, our backyard is fully fenced in with two gates. One in back is double locked from the inside, the side gate on the side of garage nearest the neighbors in question has a double latch that you have to reach over the top and find not one but two releases to open the gate. There is also an auto-close that automatically closes the gate and latches it. I personally can't open the gate from the outside of the fence because I can't reach over that far to reach the two latches. The previous owner put this in and it has worked well for our yard crew and the pool maintenance people. We do have some cameras, a doorbell camera and a camera over our garage area. The garage camera picks-up if someone goes towards the gate from the front, but we didn't want to invade our neighbors privacy by recording their side garage door and gate to their backyard. We even shared the camera angle with them because we didn't want them to be concerned about us recording their children or their coming and going. I guess we were more concerned about their privacy than they were about ours. Anyway the update, Thursday, July 4th morning, I was loading a few things in my vehicle to take to my cousin who just got out of the hospital. Neighbor/husband, who has been gone a lot for work recently, saw me and came over and asked if I was getting a late start going to the lake. I let him know that we were staying home because we are helping my cousin who just got out of the hospital. He asked if we were going to be home all weekend, I said yes one or both of us be around all weekend. He quickly wished me a happy 4th and went home. I went back in to grab my purse and tell my husband about the conversation with the neighbor before I left. When I got home our friend, Mike was there. Mike does security cameras and home automation systems (gadgets) and my husband loves gadgets. Mike and my husband have a plan for multiple cameras and several gadgets. Some of which involve us going ahead and having the pool opened. I agreed to all but one of the new cameras and almost all of the gadgets, I think husband put some in the plan knowing he would have to give up a few of them. Mike also suggested talking to our homeowners insurance agent because we might be able to get some discounts with the security upgrades. So on Friday the 5th, Tom, our insurance guy comes over and Mike is back and he has a drone to help him find the best camera positions. Really I think he just wanted show off his gadget. So husband, Mike and Tom are outside and all around the house and occasionally inside. I look outside every so often and at different times other neighbors have come outside and down to our end of the street. So neighbors want to know what is going on, so husband tells them we are concerned that someone or several people may have used our pool without our permission while we were not home. It turns out that two different neighbors had witnessed some friends of the neighbor children come over last year and they and the neighbor twins had gone into our backyard. One neighbor even asked the girls and they claimed that we let them come over all the time and use our pool. So at this point husband and Tom discuss this and Tom says we should send a registered letter to the neighbors resciending our permission from entering our fenced-in backyard. So before Mike and Tom left, the neighbors on the right (pool party neighbors) come home, both husband and wife. My husband asks to talk to them, and with Mike and Tom as witnesses he tells them that for insurance reasons we are resciending our permission for them or any member of their family or guests, to enter our fenced-in backyard. And we will be sending a registered letter stating this as requested by our insurance. Husband never accused them or their children of using our pool but said we had reason to believe that in the past our pool had been used without our permission. He did say that we had reason to believe that their older children might be friends with someone who has been in our pool. Husband also told them that we are changing the gate to have an automated lock and cameras will be installed around the pool area. He also assured them that we avoid the cameras pointed at their windows or backyard. Husband indicated that we were taking these measures to hopefully lower our homeowners insurance rates. Husband said that they exchanged a few looks between them but they said they understood and appreciated the heads-up. So hopefully this saga is over, but if there are any other updates I will try and post them. UPDATE I posted an update but I don't know how to link it so please click on my profile. A few years ago my husband and I purchased a house with a pool. Now we are acquainted with most of our neighbors but definitely not close friends with any of them. They all seem nice but well just don't have much in common other where we live. Nextdoor to the right is a family of six, twin daughters attending the local university, high school age son and a young elementary school age daughter maybe first or second grade and the parents. Now normally we open the pool in early May and leave it keep it open until the end of October. But this year our weather was off and we had a very cool and very wet month of May and then June went straight to 100+ temperatures. I am currently on a medication that makes it difficult for me to tolerate being in the sun and heat for an extended time. Plus we have been helping two extended family members who are having health issues. So because of this we haven't had our pool opened yet this year. Normally we go to the family lake house for a week during each of the three major holidays, but we didn't go for Memorial Day because there was flooding around the lake this year, and because a family member was just discharged from the hospital yesterday and July 4th being a Thursday this year we decided to stay home this week and be available to help this family member. Now several times in June the little girl nextdoor has seen either my husband or myself outside and she has asked when we are opening the pool. We first told her maybe later, but the last time (yesterday) she asked and I said we are probably just not going to open it this year, and she started crying. Now we have never had any of the neighbors over to use our pool so I didn't understand why she was crying over us not opening our pool. Well I spoke with the neighbor on the left later and apparently our neighbors on the right have been having a small family party at our pool every 4th of July when we are gone. They have always cleaned up really well afterwards and because we have scheduled pool maintenance and weekly yard service occasionally things are moved around in our yard and we never thought much about it. The neighbor on the left thought we had given the other neighbors permission to use our pool. We did give them permission to retrieve any balls or toys that ended up in our yard, but never permission to use our pool especially when we are not at home. We have a special latch on the gate and my husband did show the neighbor how to open the gate to retrieve his kids toys. So now my husband, who loves gadgets, is going to have several more cameras installed around the exterior of our house, covering the gate and pool area. And have the gate latch made where we can grant remote access for the pool service and yardmen. Luckily we have a friend who does cameras and home automation systems. I'm annoyed our neighbors have been using our pool without permission, but my husband is happy I am letting him get more gadgets around the house.
