We seriously need to talk about the ASSAULT CLASS. With the latest changes, it’s time to make the Beacon a proper Class Ability and bring new gadgets for Season 4 and the next seasons too.
In Season 4, the Assault class suffered a major nerf: The radio beacon was limited to only three respawns Only one active beacon per squad So, my suggestion is simple: Make the adrenaline pen an optional gadget Turn the Beacon into a proper "Signature Gadget" The reasons are simple: The adrenaline pen just feels like a selfish gadget it only helps the player using it not the team or the squad The beacon even after the season 3 nerfs would still be way more useful if you place it in smart spots around the map even in deathmatch you can get spawns behind or on the flank of the enemy The adrenaline pen sends an inappropriate message to young people; adrenaline is a physical stimulant that should not be used casually. :) Also the Assault class needs more gadget options that actually fit its role as the team’s frontline push class: THERMAL GOGGLES: only usable for 20 seconds then you gotta wait 40 seconds for it to recharge BALLISTIC SHIELD: not as tanky or deadly as the one in BF2042 a bit weaker than the support class shield the glass visor can be broken with around 10 shots M26 MASS or SABRE KEY: underbarrel shotgun with slug or buckshot as attachment options M141 BDM or M72 LAW: launcher focused on anti structure low damage to infantry and vehicles FN MTL-30: semi auto 30mm grenade launcher lower damage than the M320 HE submitted by /u/No-Actuator-6308 to r/Battlefield [link] [comments]

For the Assault class, why not just make the Radio Beacon a permanent class ability and remove adrenaline? It feels pretty useless anyway. This would make Assault much more useful by freeing up an extra slot for new gadgets. What new gadgets would you like to see?
What new gadgets could be added besides the ladder, weapon bandolier and the grenade launcher? Suggestions: M26 MASS: something you can attach to assault rifles if the player prefers it over running a full shotgun, more of a personal playstyle choice. BALLISTIC SHIELD: but not as tanky as the Support’s cover, and definitely not as lethal as it was in BF2042. M72 LAW: but without anti-tank ammo, so it doesn’t overlap with the Engineer role, more focused on destroying structures instead. After a crap ton of grinding, I just did 2 matches using this new gadget and OH MY GOD THIS THING IS FUN, DICE KEEP MAKING GADGETS WITH THE DESIGN PHILOSOPHY LIKE THIS. Detailed thoughts on it below.
So for starters how does it work? You get 3 ammo in total that recharge honestly pretty quickly, you aim and scan through walls on in front of you for gadgets pull the trigger and the gadget you have targeted will break/detonate. If it’s a non explosive gadget you will simply get the “gadget destroyed” accolade, if it’s explosive you will get a yellow shiny “sabatoged” picture of C4 exploding. My experience? Absolutely love it, I can help my team AND TANK players so much with it. It takes up one ammo per gadget destroyed so if you are scanning 3 gadgets and you have 3 ammo it will eat all your ammo if you pull the trigger but that’s ok because it regenerates ammonia REALLY QUICK. Here’s what I did, I basically followed around a teammate tank player whenever I saw them constantly aiming and pressing the trigger whenever they were fighting other players, doing that let me automatically detonate( or Sabotage) any incoming explosives, and yes I did get kills on MULTIPLE occasions doing this. You and your team rushing a point? As soon as you get there scan around the walls with the gadget and press the trigger whenever you get a lock on. Here are a few cool moments I got kills using this gadget and protected team at the same time with it. On siege of Cairo our battle tank had an engineer keeping it healthy, a enemy tried to throw a grenade over our tank and blow our engineers up but NOPE, I was already behind our tank aiming with the suppressor and spamming the trigger, as soon as he released the grenade from his hands I donated and killed the fucker with his own grenade! On my second match with it was on contaminated and we had a tank on D point, I decided to aim with the suppressor randomly and saw 2 mines to destroy, pulled the trigger and detonated 2 mines and killed the bastard placing them down with his own mines. No sir buddy you aren’t gonna kill my tank with those pesky mines. The only negative is that people that play recon as a sniper will almost NEVER get use out of this thing, the range on it is decent not super far like the laser designator so it’s clearly designed to be a close/mid range recon to follow around your infantry and tanks and keep them safe with it. I don’t play sniper anyway on recon, I’ve never even gotten a kill with a sniper in this game anyway so it’s no problem for me. New player here! Why is buying gadget slots so expensive?
Heya! Installed the game recently (about 2 years ago now) and created this edit to mess with people people that can't be bothered to read. I've been absolutely loving the game since I started following it and have been finding a lot of success when playing games, but I still feel like I'm at a huge disadvantage with how few slots I have.
