Digiorno Frozen Pizza

... looked back as far as frozen thin crust cheap pizzas go... goto for a more substantial frozen pizza these days. i haven't seen... it's been discontinued, but a digiorno buffalo chicken stuffed crust also ... chicken pizza and the stuffed crust is better than the regular poo poo digiorno...

I seriously hope you are not discontinuing the DiGiorno classic crust pizza. I have not been able to find it for a few weeks. The wood-fired is terrible. Hard, tasteless crust. The rising crust has good flavor, but the crust is too doughy. If I can't find classic crust, it's off to a new brand of frozen pizza. Pros: Quality Preferred solution: Classic crust pizza

That was hands down THE BEST gluten-free frozen pizza ever made, and for the past several years I've been able to find it with no issue in every single grocery store here in my town. It was so good! The dough was actually thick and doughy like a real pizza, none of this cauliflower junk or thin crust garbage. All of a sudden it's just gone. No one has it, there's not even a spot for it on the shelf like they're sold out. I would wonder if it's just that one chain stopped carrying it, but none of them do! It's just vanished, and it breaks my heart. And there's no alternatives like it. I can't find Against The Grain in my town, which was my go-to before DiGiorno and I just tried the Freschetta gf pizza and that...wow, that was not it. That was fucking terrible. I've been finding good deals and promos on both DiGiorno and Freshetta pizzas at our grocers lately. I tend to buy the cheese variety and add our own toppings and a little extra cheese. Today was Freshetta with our own pepperoni, microwaved a little to pull out some of the grease and crisp them. $7.99 at Safeway $1.00 member store coupon, so $6.99 total Pizza came with cardboard tray. The pepperonis were rearrange-able. Cooked as directed on box, so 12 minutes at 425F. I probably could have cooked it a little longer. This pizza surprised me. I came into it with low expectations as it is a DiGiorno, but I ended up really liking it. Managed to house the entire pizza very quickly. The crust on the bottom stays crispy, and the ends were very tasty. All the ingredients seemed like they were good quality and cooked really well. I don't have ham on pizza too often, but it was pretty tasty. I'm really only taking points off for size to value ratio. Found in SoCal, this is by far the best frozen pizza I’ve ever had. You can tell the ingredients are quality, the smells as it was cooking and the first taste of that sauce on the pizza cutter after slicing were fantastic. The sauce is the star, tastes like what you’d get at an authentic Italian restaurant and made my whole kitchen smell that way. The cheese was gooey and delicious, the pepperoni’s were fairly basic but there were chopped peps and whole round pep. The crust was your generic frozen pizza crust, more on the cracker side than fluffy but didn’t break my teeth biting into it. It didn’t taste carboardy like Digiorno and I also added some oil and garlic before baking. While I was doing parkour inside our local Fred Meyer (Kroger) I noticed that these SPICY RANCHERONI pizzas were marked down cheap, I mean really cheap. $1.38 cheap! It's almost as if they were daring me to buy it, eat it, and poop it out. SPICY BUFFALO-STYLE HIDDEN VALLEY® RANCH SAUCE TOPPED WITH PEPPERONI MADE WITH PORK, CHICKEN AND BEEF, MOZZARELLA CHEESE, JALAPEÑOS AND HIDDEN VALLEY® RANCH SEASONING OVER A THIN CRUST First off...these maniacs at DiGiorno are telling me to "make a plate" out of their disgusting box, that's cute but I am an adult and not some mutant. Cooked the mofo this afternoon at 400 degrees for an indetermined amount of time while I watched Tom Hardy shoot some people on Netflix. The pepperoni itself tastes almost identical to Slim Jims which is not a good start. Cheese is decent and the jalapenos look better cooked than they did frozen. The peppers and sauce pack a little heat in their trousers. The pizza slice itself stood up straight like a little pizza soldier (see photo), but then immediately turned to slop as toppings began to slide off of the buffalo ranch sauce. Let's talk buff ranch, it's definitely no substitute for marinara, the consistency is thin enough that the toppings have no clue where to go except all over your nice new cardigan. My 2nd slice had coagulated a bit better so I recommend letting this little this guy rest longer than normal unless you're a fan of pizza soup. Overall I'm not a fan, I used some actually Hidden Valley Ranch to dip so I could mute the weird buffalo tang. 4 stars for this one. Long time lurker, first time poster, so I hope I do this right. I love Thanksgiving and pizza, so I figured I’d give this a go. I cooked it in the oven per the directions, only exception is I added more cheese halfway through (and removed the green beans because I’m picky like that). Verdict: I loved it. The crust was the best frozen pizza crust I’ve ever had, and better than most pizza places honestly. It reminded me of Pizza Hut pan crust but less greasy. The turkey had surprisingly good taste and texture, there was enough gravy to act as sauce, the crispy onions were very flavorful, and the cranberries added the perfect level of sweetness to balance the savoriness of the rest of the ingredients. Honestly, I was tempted to rate it even higher but for me, it could’ve used a bit more cheese and a few more cranberries.
