RE:Dyson tower fan - alternative?
we got a dyson hot and cool air purifier and it is fab! really cools a room and you dont get that isolated blast of air like you do with a regular fan. expensive but so worth it in a heat wave, and can be used to heat during cold weather too!

Is the air purifier worth it?
Does anyone know from experience whether the air purifier and/or the air purifier + humidifier are worth it? I have good experiences with Dyson vacuum cleaners are hair products. I’m just not sure whether with the air purification products, the brand warrants the price, particularly when considering you need to replace filters (and who knows how long those will be available in the market for). With that being said, if the product is truly excellent, I’m happy to invest. Thank you in advance for your help!! submitted by /u/organicglitter to r/dyson [link] [comments]

I was about to throw away my dyson air purifier fan.
Thanks to reddit I didn't throw away my Dyson air purifier fan. It just needed a cleaning and now after months of saying, their quality is severe and a bunch of air filter purchases, thinking that was the problem. The sensors just needed to be cleaned and now my machine is gone strong for hopefully now many more years like I thought there was something very wrong in my house and I was buying filters. I was stressing out and it just needed the sensors to be cleaned. Thanks, Reddit. submitted by /u/FranknChaos to r/dyson [link] [comments]

I'm impressed by my Dyson Big and Quiet Air Purifier
The app works intuitively. When I walked in my room with a packet of food at 11am, within seconds the purifier led spiked up to red, stayed there for 15 minutes before coming down. The food was in a packet and inside a plastic bag yet the device picked up the food instantly and went about cleaning it submitted by /u/Fun_Training6342 to r/dyson [link] [comments]

Dyson Air Purifiers reviews 2026: Worth It or Not?
I was replacing the filters on my TP04 and DP04 recently and something caught my attention. After more than a year of use, they still looked surprisingly clean. A little darker than new, sure, but nowhere near as dirty as I expected them to be after running almost nonstop. What really made me pause is that I also use several Winix air purifiers in different rooms, and their filters tell a totally different story. After only a few months, the carbon filters usually need swapping out, and the pre filters are full of visible dust that I have to vacuum off regularly. The contrast between the two brands is pretty hard to ignore. Now I am stuck wondering what that actually means. Are the Dyson units only pulling in ultra fine particles while letting bigger stuff float around, or are they just better at trapping everything without showing it as obviously. I cannot decide if this is a good sign or something that should worry me. Has anyone else run into the same thing with Dyson purifiers. I would love to hear if this is normal or if you eventually decided they were not worth keeping in the long run. submitted by /u/SimpleTie7232 to r/productreview [link] [comments]

I Tried the Dyson Big Quiet Purifier and It Changed My Home Air Quality
I’ve been running the Dyson BP03 in my Raleigh house for a couple weeks, bouncing it between an open living room and the upstairs hallway. Price-wise it sits way above the usual Levoit/Winix/Honeywell type HEPA air purifier, so I went in skeptical and basically dared it to prove it wasn’t just an expensive fan. Filtration efficiency looks legit on paper and in real life. Certified HEPA H13 and it does a solid job knocking down PM2.5 spikes from cooking and vacuuming. Allergen reduction has been noticeable too, mostly in how fast the “dusty” feeling drops off after I kick up dog hair and lint. Large room coverage is the main flex: that cone airflow throws cleaned air a long way, and the whole space seems to equalize faster than smaller box units that only clean the air right next to them. Formaldehyde removal is the big marketing line, and the real-time air quality display at least shows formaldehyde along with VOCs, NO2, PM2.5, PM10. Hard part is verifying “destroys formaldehyde permanently” without lab gear, though the readings react fast to obvious VOC events (cleaners, nail polish remover). Odor and gas removal is good, but carbon is never magic. Fried food smell didn’t vanish instantly, it just cleared quicker. Quiet operation is honestly impressive. Higher fan speeds stay more “whoosh” than whine, so it runs harder without driving me out of the room. App integration via the MyDyson app has been stable for me. Scheduling is easy, graphs are useful, and the remote control features are better than expected, plus the magnetic remote parking spot is a nice touch. Smart home compatibility exists with Alexa, though deeper home automation tie-ins seem limited. Design and aesthetics are modern and kinda bold. Build quality feels premium, also huge. Mobility and portability are decent because of the casters, yet 26 lb is still 26 lb and it’s an awkward shape on stairs. Setup and installation was basically plug-in, no assembly, filters already seated. Maintenance requirements seem low, but replacement filter cost is the catch: HEPA around 5 years claimed and carbon around 2 years claimed, still a chunky spend up front. Another nagging worry: Dyson warranty vibes, since I’ve seen people get burned right after coverage ends. Anybody else running the bp03 long-term, and are you actually seeing the filter longevity match the claims? Also curious if anyone has measured CADR-ish performance in a real house vs other big room air purifier models. submitted by /u/Futur_90 to r/HomeSetup [link] [comments]

Why So may negative reviews around Dyson?
I was researching about Dyson Air-Purifier and I saw negative reviews around, so wanted to know from you folks what’s your experience with it? Also I am confused with available options 1. Dyson TP 10 (only cold Air) priced around 40,000/- 2. Dyson HP 10 (Cold Air+ Hot) priced around 57,000/- 3. Dyson HP07 (Cold Air+ Hot) priced around 66,000/- As per my research, HP10 comes without app support which is strange (I heard they launched this model during chip shortage) The one with WiFi costs 10,000 What are your reviews? Spending 10,000 for app connectivity is worth it? And which model you’ll suggest? Edit: Stay in Gurgaon xD!! submitted by /u/Vegeta_2711 to r/delhi [link] [comments]

Avoid Dyson fan/air purifiers
I have a Dyson vacuum cleaner that's been going strong for well over a decade so, when I eas in the market for a fan, decided to splurge big on one of their fans/air purifier combos. It worked great at first but, after a few months of regular use, the motor developed a loud annoying whine that made it impossible to use in the bedroom. I had Dyson repair or replace the fan over 5 times during the warranty period and every single one developed the same problem after a few months. Ended up moving the last replacement Dyson sent to a less used room and picked up a $60 standing fan that has been working flawlessly for multiple years. submitted by /u/Inexorably_lost to r/BuyItForLife [link] [comments]

Thinking about getting a Dyson air purifier?
Just don't... This is HP04 filter after several months of use, compared to a significantly cheaper competitor after just 1 week of use in the same apartment. Dyson air purifiers just aren't good... Not for particles or VOCs, and the humidifier wasn't doing anything about my humidity problems during winter either. submitted by /u/Content-Mortgage2389 to r/dyson [link] [comments]

TIFU by using a useless air purifier every night for 5 years
I've had asthma for about a decade now, but it's never been a big issue aside from sleeping. I have no idea why it hits so hard in my bed specifically, but for years I have woken up wheezing and coughing up phlegm. I live in an old house that produces an absurd amount of dust, so I've invested in mattress covers, I vacuum weekly, and I open the windows whenever possible. Even so, I always sucked down inhalers at a brutal rate. One day my friend told me about this air purifier she sleeps with, and I decided to get my own. It's pretty small and super quiet, so I set it up right next to my head and prepared for a blissful slumber. The next morning I woke up and... nothing. Literally no difference. Same old wheezing, same old phlegm. I was a little annoyed, but it was only one night and I had paid good money for this thing, so I stuck with it. Every night I diligently turned the damn thing on, and every morning was the same old story, but I held out hope. Over the years my asthma did get a lot better, which I credited to both the purifier and exercise. For the next 5 years I used it, every single night. Some mornings I would forget to turn it off, and it would run all day (for extra purified air!). I never even thought about it, using the purifier just became a nightly routine. The other day I was making my bed when I noticed a button labeled "Filter change". Shit... My dumbass never thought about the clearly expired filter in that thing. I ordered a new one, and when it came I popped open the purifier, and holy shit... I am fucking stupid. Turns out, when you first buy this purifier, there is a plastic sheet over the filter to keep it fresh... and I never removed it. For FIVE years I've been using a purifier that doesn't do a damn thing, just pushes the air around. I was so careful to use it every night, for no fucking reason. I removed the plastic and damn does it sound different... probably destroyed the fan but god knows I'm not goona stop using it now. TL:DR I used an air purifier for my asthma every night for 5 years, only to find out that I hadn't set up the filter and it hadn't been doing anything. Edit: Thank you for correcting my shitty spelling. phlegm EDIT: Wow, glad I'm not the only one to do this! Thank you to everyone who commented about a similar experience, crazy how easily it is to miss. To all of you asking if there was any improvement, yes but only minor... my asthma has improved so much over the last few years that I don't really notice it in the morning anymore. That being said, last few mornings (since I fixed it) have been the best in a while! Also check out this story posted a few days later - I'm not the only dumbass! submitted by /u/nwormser to r/tifu [link] [comments]
