Any Intel on renting ELECTRIC golf cart?
Seeing more and more electric golf carts. Biggest advantage imo is the noise factor. Boy, after hours of tooling around on a gas powered cart, sometimes with the no-cost backfiring as well, "quiet" may be worth a few extra dollars.

Electric golf cart suddenly stopping?
I have an electric golf cart. I only use it to get my kids back and forth to school since we live less than 2 miles a way. Yesterday after stopping at a stop sign, the car froze up and wouldn't move at all for a minute when I put my foot on the accelerator. It did eventually end up working again and since the battery was showing 2 bars, I figured it just needed to be charged. I charged it and everything seemed fine until I was at a stop sign. It slowly moved forward before it came to a complete stop in the middle of the road, despite me trying to get the car to go forward. I tried switching the gears but nothing was working. I even tried turning the golf cart off, removing the key, and putting it back in. Finally after 7 agonizing minutes of panicking because there were a bunch of cars behind me, honking it drove like normal again. After picking up kids, the cart wouldn't start for 8 minutes and once again completely stopped at a stop sign. Electric golf carts, let alone golf carts in general are not common in my area. I don't know anyone who fixes these. Has anyone had this happen? If so, what did the problem end up being? Coco coupe Le 2025 electric golf cart. Can golf carts be traded in, just like used cars? If so, how and where?
Are there "golf cart lots" like there are car lots? Looking to upgrade from electric to gas. Whether or not that's an upgrade or a downgrade, I don't know, I just know that my father in law says he "understands" gas, but doesn't understand this old six battery system (GC8). This is a six passenger, six GC8 battery cart with no seat belts. They only want to drive it around like an ATV, never on actual streets with cars. In fact, they'd rather have an ATV. submitted by /u/marioxb to r/golfcarts [link] [comments]

Have any larger cities successfully embraced golf carts as a major transportation option?
Electric golf carts seem like a pretty good bridge to creating more sustainable cities to me. They provide the convenience of a car with no emissions and it’s much harder to kill a pedestrian or cyclist with one. They’re also much more affordable to buy, insure, and operate. I think they could especially work well as a second car for many American families. Have any cities successfully promoted them at a large scale through incentives or otherwise? I’m mainly looking for examples of US cities, not just neighborhoods like the Villages. submitted by /u/RainedAllNight to r/urbanplanning [link] [comments]

Ideas of building an electric trailer for the Push Cart Mafia, looking for advice
Hello everyone! I’m working on a project designing a two-wheeled, hip-belt-connected electric trailer for hiking. A friend of mine who is really into golf suggested this could be useful for golfers who prefer walking the course and want to transport their bags. The idea is that the trailer follows you via the hip-belt and provides motorized assistance for uphills and flat terrain, so you don't have to push or pull a heavy cart for 18 holes. I would love to hear your thoughts! I’ve posted a survey link in the comments area. Thanks a lot! submitted by /u/DougNimal to r/golf [link] [comments]

Can electric golf cart batteries be used as a power source during a power outage?
I was just thinking, with all the winter storm warning for the south and high chances of power outages, that this huge battery might come in handy. Has anyone used it to power things besides plugging in a cell phone charger? I realize it isn’t a generator to power my house, but maybe it’s useful for other things like an electric heater? Just not sure how that could be done. submitted by /u/KIMJONGB00M to r/golfcarts [link] [comments]

If tesla doesnt make a golf cart why are there so many online that are called tesla golf carts? what does that mean exactly?
So I am a little confused and wanted to know what do people mean when they list goft carts as tesla golf carts? I assumed that was tesla making the golf cart but apparently it means something of an equvalent to a tesla? Is this referring to the futuristic look of the golf cart, or the way it has smooth lines, minimalist dash maybe the LED lights? Or are we referring to it as this because of the electric batteries, and its really the electric motor that is there that people think its like a tesla? There are so many online sites that I have seen that advertise the golf cart, including amazon and alibaba, and I was just wondering what exactly does that mean? If you are buying online I guess the first thing you would want to look at is the battery quality, I actually have an old club car which is the Precedent model and I am pretty happy with it, a lot of people are saying just upgrade that. But it wont look lik the tesla ones but is it just from the outside that it looks really impressive, is it not really all that jazz when it comes to its functioning? submitted by /u/TennisFan4evernever to r/golf [link] [comments]

Electric push cart vs remote electric cart — which is the better upgrade?
Hey everyone, looking for some real-world advice. I currently use a regular golf push cart and enjoy walking, but I’m thinking about upgrading to an electric option, if jumping straight to a remote cart is worth it, or if electric assist without remote already delivers most of the benefit. For those who’ve tried one or both: • Did electric assist alone feel like a big upgrade from a push cart? • Is remote control genuinely better, or more hassle than it’s worth? • Any thoughts on ease of use, reliability, battery life, or enjoyment? Appreciate any insights. Thanks! submitted by /u/MyAcehog to r/GolfGear [link] [comments]

Golf Cart/LSV
Should Richmond embrace or promote the use of golf carts / low speed vehicles? Infrastructure: From the fan to the near west end there is relatively high density, plenty of low speed streets (usually defined as speed limits below 25-35mph), and many of the daily spots (schools, grocery stores, pharmacy, restaurants, etc.) Parking: It is a pain in many parts of the city. Swapping a car for a golf cart opens up a lot of additional parking space without new construction. Affordability: Obviously this is not a silver bullet to solve all affordability problems, but I’d venture to guess that for many people it could offer material savings over a real car (or an easier to afford option than a bike). I’d guess may 2 car families could drop to 1 car. Environment: Again, it’s not going to solve everything but generally speaking it should be a positive thing for more travel to be done in electric vehicles rather than cars. Empirically, we’ve not seen massive EV adoption (yet). Use of golf carts could again be that stepping stone. Location: Richmond is a pretty temperate and comfortable climate which makes open air transportation reasonable. That said, we do get plenty of rain and 4 real seasons… So it’s not as good as places in FL or AZ. From the fan to west end it’s pretty flat which makes golf carts a solid option. However this is not the case with the Shockoe and Church Hill. Also, the river (and bridges) can act like a moat cutting off Manchester. What do y’all think? Discuss! submitted by /u/Tressler3 to r/rva [link] [comments]

An electric cart is one of the best golf purchases I've ever made.
It might even be the best purchase, but I cannot speak highly enough about the experience of using one. Walking in general is a better way to play golf vs riding in a cart but not having to push or carry through the round will not only will benefit your game but it's just so freaking cool to stroll down the fairways upright like a pro with his own caddie. You get the exercise from walking but you're less tired through the back 9 because you arent pushing or carrying a 40-50 weight throughout. As someone with a dodgy back this also helps me stay loose vs compounding pain with a high torque motion and then going and compressing on my spine sitting in a cart for however many minutes until the next shot. If you were on the fence about one of these things I highly encourage you to make the leap. It took less than 3 rounds using mine to realize I never want to play through a course another way. Curious to hear about others experiences using one as well... submitted by /u/IronicHipsterCake to r/golf [link] [comments]

Thoughts on a electric golf cart to use around your homestead? Would you do it again?
I was considering getting a golf cart to tool around my homestead and do projects. I have a part time small hobby homestead and don’t have enough need for a tractor, but things are kind of spread out. I’m mainly interested in it because it’s all electric, I’m trying to avoid gas because I don’t use them often enough and their carburetors would gum up and we are super small scale. Sometimes we are going to be away longer term so I can’t just let it idle for a while since I’m not there. So electric just makes sense for us at this time. Anyone use an all electric golf cart, would you do it again? Any advice? Did you get a cart that was modified, lifted or some other feature that made it more useful and hassle free? submitted by /u/ryan112ryan to r/homestead [link] [comments]

Unpopular Opinion: smaller alternative vehicles (ex golf carts) should be allowed in the parish limits and everyone knows it
I'm a filthy, unlawful, terrible person who has an insured electric golf cart that I drive and park on the streets. I go to the supermarket, out for dinner, my local coffee shop, the hardware store, down to the quarter, etc. It's a neighborhood vehicle that costs next to nothing for me to drive it. Electric fuel is cheap and I made it cheaper by putting a solar panel on the top. I think the last time I charged it on our electrical grid was for Easter weekend. I drive my car 2-3 a week. I drive my golf cart damn near every day. I would MUCH rather see other small electric vehicles in the city than the oversized, gas guzzling, overcompensating trucks and SUVs. They pollute the city, they take up way too much space, and if they hit someone or something they will seriously fuck up someone's day/life. Ever see those car/pickups crashed into the sides of people's houses on Claiborne? Ever wonder why our auto insurance is so expensive here? My golf cart has lights, seat belts, and insurance. It will max out at 26mph on a full charge and a flat out road. It's lifted to better handle the abysmal parish streets. It was cheap to buy (used on FB) and it's even cheaper to own. Repairs cost almost nothing and I do it all myself. There's a 12v outlet to run a tire inflator, or maybe a small electric cooler for cold waters on a hot day. There's a USB A and a USB C outlet. My friends in parade krewes ask me to drive it in parades to carry their throws, bags, and snacks. My neighbors who can't drive ask me to pick up things for them if they can't get to the store. The next time there's a hurricane, I don't have to worry about gas for my car, and can use it as extra power for phones or a fan. So many folks on this sub talk mad shit without asking for real world info or just talking with someone, and I'm convinced it's just the outspoken NIMBY contingent with enough sticks up their ass to start a butt fire. Reducing the amount of large vehicles that this city was never designed for is a GOOD thing, and there should be way more of them. The city can get more money from "permits" or "registration" and "inspection" or whatever BS bureaucratic fee they want to call it and I don't have to put extra money into a car that costs way more to maintain and fuel to only drive 1 mile to the store for dish soap and cat litter. More people parking more small vehicles downtown means more revenue from parking permits, meters, and paid lots. It means more revenue for business than were harder to access. The problem is not the golf carts, it's the Altimas with expired temp plates, no insurance, and no cares. So so so many places across the country are adapting to the changing world and including small neighborhood electric vehicles in their allowable vehicles because rational people understand the good changes they bring to communities. Poo-pooing smaller, cheaper, clean-energy transportation for more people is short-sighted. Change is good. Move forward. Bring on the downvotes. I am nourished by your discourse and will continue to life my best in the solar powered electric golf cart you wish you had. submitted by /u/omgsooze to r/NewOrleans [link] [comments]
