RE:Which Dog Collar GPS Fence
Been very happy with Wiez for a few years, but it quit working entirely. Id buy another but it seems they might be out of business or rebranded. Dont want: subscription service, requirement for cell or wifi service. Dont need: precision fence corners or shapes, location tracking. Do want: adjustable tone, vibrate, and shock levels, adjustable radius from center GPS point, 2+ year durability, 2+ ...

Electronic dog fence
We have a wire buried around our yard that activates dog collars to keep the boys home. The wire has broken in frozen ground somewhere. Does anyone have a GPS style dog fence that they like? It seems the ones we have looked at online have batteries that only last a day or so. Thanks.

I did an inground over gps. enlcoses about an acre and a half Beagle - works well. Only expense is batteries twice a year and whatever electricity is being pulled for the low volt wire fence. Only problems I have had ruptured a wire a couple of times when the dog was younger she ran through the fence a couple of times dead batteries and the dog ran through the fence on a rabbit jail break

RE: Dog going on road
Good point, is the OP using a GPS, or a wire perimeter collar, or what? If the dog has learned to cross the fence, they'll have to be tied up so they can just reach the fence, and retrained. A lot easier to train them right the first time, than to let them learn the bad habit and then train it out of them.

Has anyone here had any luck using a GPS dog fence in conjunction with a physical fence?
Recently I have moved to a property with a 1.9 acre yard. We have a 3 year old border collie husky mix (per her DNA results) who is all energy and attitude. We hired a professional fencing company to put up a 5 foot fence around an acre of our property. The fence does a good job of keeping her on the property when I am outside watching her, but if I am not around and she sees something on the other side of the fence she wants, she finds a way. At first it was digging under the fence, which I fixed by burying metal garden fence along the boundary, but now she is going over the fence. She is e-collar trained and I have had very good results with just a reminder beep or vibrate when she sees a squirrel or dog, so I am wanting to try to bolster my defenses with something along the lines of a GPS dog fence (or any other technology) that I can set the boundary up to coincide with my physical fence. Has anyone here had any success in doing something like this and have a product they would recommend? submitted by /u/E_G_Man to r/TechnoBarkDogGear [link] [comments]

Help me pick a GPS dog fence for a big yard
Since I moved to a bigger property with no physical fence, I realized regular GPS dog collars just don't cut it for me anymore. Looking to switch to an actual GPS dog fence system. I've shortlisted SpotOn, Sportdog, Halo, SATELLAI, and Guardian. The rest of the options I came across online have pretty bashed reviews so I ruled them out, but even with these five I'm seeing really mixed opinions. For those of you who've used a GPS fence on a big yard, how did it actually work out? Which ones have you tried and which one are you still using that actually performs the way it's marketed? These things aren't cheap so I don't want to go bargain bin, but I also don't want to drop serious money on something that ends up being a bad solution. Any real-world experience would help a lot. submitted by /u/Annual_Dress5039 to r/GSP [link] [comments]

Looking for the cheapest but best gps dog collar
hello I rent a place on 3 acres with a 10 acre woods next to it got permission from the land lord to bury fence line but after totalling it up it would be cheaper to get a gps collar. but im trying not to brake the bank. so I was needing something that during night kept her in the 3 acres but then during the day or when im in the woods I can extend the border into the woods with me I think my dog would love to go in there. my concern is finding a collar with good signal to be accurate in the woods and cannot find any good reliable source on these colors in the woods. submitted by /u/dankplankofwood to r/TechnoBarkDogGear [link] [comments]

GPS perimeter fence collars ... What has been your experience?
I've been humming and hawing about a perimeter collar for a while now but we just heard that our boy goes to a neighbor down the valley when we both leave the property (which is rare) and they don't like it. He doesn't chase, two sibling neighbors say he does not the rest in that area say no he just walls through to the creek (not to our face but to the neighbor that told us... And also shared that the brother let of "warning shots" for the Doug to know to stay away.... Which dogs just can't and don't comprehend). Our blog doesn't chase our immediate neighbors cows or the others horses but he does go off our heavily forested perimeter into their cleared lands that have a higher viewpoint. And he chases Coyotes and foxes.... But not deer or skunks In the photos you can kind of see the difference in how densely forested my property is vs clearing of the neighbors. It's like this everywhere. For other people who have this collar and a forested parcel, how has it worked for you? And also for the Doug's with strong drive to roam, how successful or not is this? I have 90 days to get three product and my boy hopefully trained to stay within the perimeter because even in sale it's over 1300 CAD 🥲 I don't work for any company I'm just sharing a great deal on a safety product in this economy.... Please don't kick me out of the group 🙏🙏 "Shop" app + discount code FETCH at checkout = $215 savings. Is the Pawtronic Pro Series 2 GPS Dog Fence Actually Worth Buying?
The biggest appeal is how easy it is compared to a traditional fence. Instead of digging trenches or installing wires, you basically set up a virtual boundary using GPS through your phone, and the collar warns your dog with a tone, vibration, or optional correction when they get close to that boundary. A lot of people like it because there’s no monthly subscription, and you can move the boundary around if you travel or change locations. That said, whether it’s actually worth buying really depends on where you live and what you expect it to do. GPS fences tend to work best in wide open areas with a clear view of the sky, but signals can shift a bit near trees, buildings, or dense neighborhoods, which can affect accuracy. It’s also important to know that this system is meant for containment only, not real-time dog tracking, so if your dog somehow leaves the boundary you won’t be able to track them like you would with a GPS tracker. Overall, it can be a good option for people with larger yards or rural properties who want a simple wireless fence without paying subscription fees. But if you need super precise boundaries or live tracking features, you might want to compare it with other GPS collars before deciding. submitted by /u/GiftSuccessful3338 to r/TechnoBarkDogGear [link] [comments]

GPS fence for dogs - need recommendations .4 acres
I just bought a house with no fence, not realizing how insane fence prices are. I wanted a large yard so my dogs could run in it, but I need them to stay IN the yard. It seems like most GPS fences are for larger yards than mine (though dont seem to explain why) and I'm trying to figure out which ones should work with my yard. I am not going to be able to put a wired invisible fence in (theres a lot of roots) and with the shape of my yard (end of a cul-de-sac wedge) I also cant use the radio frequency big circle invisible fence. submitted by /u/urbanazoo to r/Pets [link] [comments]

Do GPS dog collars work in rural areas?
Hi guys! This question keeps coming up and the answers are kind of all over the place, so I figured I’d throw it out here. I know a lot of dog parents use GPS dog collars, but things feel different once you’re outside the city. Big properties, open land, woods, farms, fewer cell towers. Totally different setup than neighborhoods where signal is stable everywhere. So the question ends up being… do GPS collars actually work in rural areas, or are they more of a city thing? From what I’ve read and seen, including the article I linked below, it really seems to depend on the brand and how the collar works, not just GPS in general. Fi comes up a lot, mostly because people like the battery life. That’s helpful when dogs have a lot of space to roam. When there’s signal, tracking is solid, but some dog parents mention updates can lag if coverage is weak. Halo Collar gets mentioned a lot too when rural setups come up. It uses GPS with cellular and is made for larger properties and boundary setups without physical fences. Like any GPS collar though, it still needs cell service to send updates, so how well it works seems tied to how much coverage you actually have where you live. Whistle gets talked about as well, especially since it tracks health and activity along with location. Same deal though, it relies on cellular, so experiences seem to depend on signal strength. What it sounds like overall isn’t that GPS collars just don’t work in rural areas. It’s more that rural areas really show where cellular coverage starts to struggle. GPS itself can still pinpoint location in open spaces, but getting that info back to your phone is where things can slow down or get spotty. Battery life matters more too. Bigger spaces, more roaming, longer tracking time. Some collars handle that better than others. This article explains the rural GPS collar situation in a pretty straightforward way without hyping anything, so sharing it here in case it helps anyone: https://technobark.com/do-gps-collars-work-in-rural-areas/ Would love to hear real experiences. If you’re using a GPS collar in a rural area, does it actually work where you are? Which brand are you using? Is it reliable day to day or only sometimes? Has it helped when you really needed it, or did it let you down? This is one of those things where hearing from other dog parents matters way more than specs or product pages. submitted by /u/Total_Whereas380 to r/TechnoBarkDogGear [link] [comments]

No Fence? No Problem! Best GPS Dog Fences
Looking for the best GPS dog fences that actually work and don't require hours of digging, burying wires, or cursing at complicated technology? You are in the right place. GPS dog fences are one of the most popular trends in pet technology right now, and it's easy to see why. With just a collar and a smartphone app, you can create safe zones for your dog in minutes—no shovels, no stress. Best Choice Halo Collar 5 Wireless Dog Fence with GPS This is the GPS dog fence that is thought to be the most accurate and has the most features. It uses dual-frequency GPS to track your exact location and give you updates in real time (up to 20 times per second). You can draw as many virtual fences as you want, and it also has dog training and activity tracking. Works with a lot of different devices and has a long battery life (about 48 hours). To use, you need to pay for a monthly subscription. Guardian GPS 2.0 Dog Fence + Tracking: The Best Balance Good second choice with real-time tracking and virtual boundaries that can be changed. Built to work well with an easy-to-use app and high accuracy. You need to sign up. SATELLAI Smart Collar New collar with GPS fencing, advanced satellite tracking, and features powered by AI. Provides wide coverage and smart feedback (sound, vibration, and static). (Also mentioned in tech coverage from outside sources as a cutting-edge collar with a long battery life and health information.) SpotOn GPS Fence Collar: The Best Choice Great accuracy and a lot of different ways to set boundaries, like "Keep Out" and "Home Zone" areas. You don't need to pay for a subscription to use basic fence features, but GPS tracking may still need one. Known for high-quality hardware but also a higher price PawTronic Pro Series is the best subscription-free option. No subscription fees are needed. Lets you draw simple boundaries (round or square) over large areas. Also works as a training collar with sound, vibration, and static modes. Easier to use and less focused on full GPS tracking. Tractive GPS and Health Monitor A cheaper option that still lets you use GPS tracking and virtual safe zones. It can be used as a general activity and health tracker. Not as full-featured as GPS fence collars made just for this purpose, but still a good deal. Things to think about Accuracy and terrain: GPS systems don't always work well in dense forests, on hills, or in places where satellites don't get a good signal. This means that these systems aren't perfect substitutes for real fences. Subscription requirements: Most advanced models need a monthly service plan to use all of their GPS features. Dog behavior: Training is still important; some dogs may not pay attention to signals if they aren't reinforced regularly. submitted by /u/GiftSuccessful3338 to r/TechnoBarkDogGear [link] [comments]

Fi dog collar vs tractive gps?
Trying to decide between Fi (series 3) and Tractive for my 2 y/o heeler mix and could use some real-world feedback from folks who have actually used both. we’re in semi-rural Midwest, spotty cell in some directions but main carriers work fine in town and on the highways. Dog has a fenced yard but is a known escape artist, and we also hike/camp a lot off-leash where it’s legal. right now I just have an AirTag on her everyday collar. It’s ok for around the neighborhood, but it’s clearly not built for this. If she took off into the woods and there wasnt an iPhone nearby, I’m aware it would be useless, so I’m finally ready to get a real GPS solution. What’s tripping me up: - I keep reading Fi has awesome battery life, which I love because I will definately forget to charge if it’s every day. - Some people say Tractive’s live tracking and update frequency are better. - Coverage is a big one for me. Mixed reports on both in rural-ish areas. - Health/activity stuff is a nice-to-have, not a must, but I’d use it if it’s there. Since this sub is Fi-focused, I’m expecting more Fi fans, but has anyone here actually run both Fi and Tractive on the same dog for a while? What did you notice in day-to-day use? Edit: Thaaank you guys going with Tractive I actually think it’s better for my use-case. submitted by /u/KingRadon69 to r/FiDogCollar [link] [comments]

Halo Collar for Dog Fence with a Samoyed?
I’m curious if anyone has tried a Halo collar or any similar type of collar for their Samoyed? We have a 3 year old gal named Alba (photo tax included). She’s so wonderful and her recall skills are fairly good. We just bought a house with a yard and we’re so excited to let her run around. We plan on installing a fence in the spring, but in the meantime I was wondering if anyone has used an e-collar (not a zapping one, but a GPS fencing one) with their Sammy? The goal in buying something like this is so she can run around in the back with us, and especially in the winter go play out in the snow without us having to worry about her getting loose. We would be monitoring her while she’s outside and would take the collar off indoors. I just don’t know with the double coat or general ADHD nature of these dogs that if she saw a squirrel she would immediately lose all sense of training and go after it even if it meant crossing the set boundary. TIA! submitted by /u/Nicoled5473 to r/samoyeds [link] [comments]

Spent over $350 for a dog GPS in case my dog escapes. She actually did today but I didn’t get an alert because as long as she’s connected to my wifi she’s in the “safe zone”…. Apparently my wifi reached almost a block away cause that’s where they found her.
Screenshot shows the “history” showing that she never left her “safe zone” meanwhile the neighbours called to say they found her a block away - across a busy street to boot. I spent like $100-200 on the tag I can’t remember and another $150 for a year subscription to the service because my dog is getting old and senile and has done some out of character things like wander away at work (she’s a golf course dog and has been on the course with me for 15 years… she always has stayed in the shop or with me on the course until recently when she seems to follow smells and I lose track of her). So I bought the GPS more for the course than anything else so I could quickly find her if she wandered off. But obviously it’s a bonus to have the GPS on her at home too in case she ever got out. She’s not a dog that has ever even tried to escape, but like I said… she’s losing her faculties a bit so I was being cautious. We have a fully fenced in yard but occasionally a gate gets left open by the kids or Amazon or something… When I was setting up the system it asks you to set up your home “safe zone” where it will work off wifi to save battery power. I sort of assumed the GPS would kick in as soon as she was detected to be outside ie. receiving a gps signal. I mean a lot of dogs escape from their yards presumably where they still have wifi signals right? Anyway my kids must’ve let the dog out or something cause we didn’t even know she was outside. We were giving the kids baths and my phone rings and it’s the neighbour saying they have her. She must’ve gotten under a weak point in the fence or something because the gate was shut so now I gotta find that problem too. Just extremely frustrating to spend significant money on something to prevent a very specific problem and it completely drops the ball on that. I assume it would’ve alerted me eventually if it lost wifi but she coulda been run over by a car by that point. submitted by /u/FatFaceFaster to r/mildlyinfuriating [link] [comments]

WIBTA if I kept my dog that went missing 3 years ago but has now been found?
I have a dog that went missing 3 years ago when my roommate left him out of the house with his dog. We live in the countryside and this is quite common, so I understand why he did it. After a few weeks, I gave up and assumed a hawk had gotten him. Well, 3 years later my boyfriend finds him in the road a mile or so from our house and brings him home. I come to find out that a family with a child has had him this whole time. WIBTA if I kept him? (I'm 100% positive this is the same dog. unique markings and he responds to his name and knew who me and my roommate's dog was) little update for anyone who cares: The other family did not chip him. We have since taken him to the vet and gotten him chipped and a GPS tracker on his collar just in case, but he shouldn't be getting out without a leash again. Currently saving up for a fence as well! As for the other family, my boyfriend saw them playing with a brand new puppy the other day. submitted by /u/Closeted_fan to r/AmItheAsshole [link] [comments]

GPS Fence
Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on GPS fence collars, I live on about 20ish acres and I have 2 German shepherds. One of them tends to try and wander onto the neighbours property. One with active tracking would be ideal so I could locate him if he went missing. Currently he has a collar that you can set a radius for the on it, but it only does circular areas and the land is more rectangular so it cuts off a lot of the area he should be allowed on I was thinking about something like this https://pawtronicgpsfence.com/products/pawtronic-pro-wireless-gps-dog-fence?variant=42908075753571 but wanted to get some other people's ideas. submitted by /u/MyUserID-IsTaken to r/DogAdvice [link] [comments]

You wanna try to take 9" of our property? We will take 20' of yours
We have lived in our house for about 8 years in a rural neighborhood in Arizona. About a year ago this dude from California bought the lot next to us and threw a fit about the stuff we had on the property line. We had put a single fence pole vaguely where the property line was (we hadn't had any sort of land survey done, it was supposed to just be a temporary marker that became a perminant marker) Dude was absolutely livid that we had vehicles parked "on his property" (they very tip of one of our cars was touching the established boundary) He threatened to have our vehicle towed. So we simply had an actual land survey done and it turned out the property line was a good 20' into his property. Homeboy should have just let sleeping dogs lie and not been an asshole about a few inches. Edit: I had some journalists reach out to me and ask for some more comments so here are the updates you asked for. Feel free to ask more questions for more clarifications or ask again if I missed yours Hello! Thank you for reaching out! Zip code [redacted] for GPS reference. It's a small, rural neighborhood in the mountains of Arizona. All the houses are 3-5 acre horse properties. The roads are all dirt and unmaintained. It used to be a very understandable place to live, but in the last few years it has been developed and property values have been going up, quadrupling since we moved here in 2016. This has attracted a crowd of people who care what yards look like who simply weren't here when this was cheap. The neighbor is one of these new people. We moved here specifically because the neighborhood had a bunch of messy yards already and we wanted to also have lenient neighbors. We lived in harmony with our neighbors junky yards for years. The neighbor introduced himself by calling the county on a bunch of us anonymously. We knew he called on us because he was bragging about calling the county on several other of the neighbors for their messy yard so whether he intentionally included us in the report or not, he brought the inspectors to the neighborhood. He came on our property by at least 40' (before there was a fence) to closely examine our piles of scrap metal. We caught this on camera and confronted him in text. It turned out he was very angry that he had purchased land next to a pseudo-scrap yard. We had several cars in various stages of disassembly and piles of materials. Keep in mind; this is the country. This is normal out here: we're on five acre lots. Another detail that I missed in my original post; he isn't even living on this lot. He bought a lot with a very small cabin 3 houses down along with the lot next to us with the intention of turning it into an income property. After we confronted him in text, he confronted us in person in our front yard, leaning against our "no trespassing" sign and screaming obscenities at us. We haven't seen him. Since we saw him on our security camera observing the survey markers, dismayed. It's entirely possible that we entirely chased him out of the neighborhood. The people on the other side of his lot, who have an equally trashed yard from their small scale pig farming operation, that he should have known existed before buying the land, had such a bad experience with him that she had a restraining order on him. They are also having a potentially equally funny dispute about a shed that she built fully on his lot over 15 years ago which means they're going to have to go to court over who now owns it and our adverse possession laws are certainly on her side. Currently we are building an ugly fence on the newly surveyed property line. submitted by /u/kingofzdom to r/pettyrevenge [link] [comments]

Fi Collar : Fi Series 3 GPS Dog Collar Review : My thoughts after one year
I frequent Reddit often, but have never felt compelled to post. After having the Fi Collar for over a year, I decided it was time to provide a helpful and honest review. I don’t typically post on here, but felt compelled to share my thoughts after last week’s eventful turn. For context, I purchased a Fi Collar for both of my dogs early 2023 as we live in a rural area with lower quality service and love allowing our dogs the freedom to roam. It makes absolutely no sense that we have find my friends for family members but no find your furry friends. We live on a few acres of land that is populated with mountain lions and other larger predators so I tend to worry for my dogs safety. Although their recall is strong, you just never truly know. I wasn’t even aware of the escape alert function prior to purchasing, but this godsend feature has saved me countless headaches. My girl Nala hates being fenced in (don’t we all) so she frequently sneaks out of our fence. Fi has alerted me every single time. I just checked my log of over 72 escape attempts for 2023. In my mind the odds of her wandering off too far and ending up attacked by wildlife or stuck in the terrain are astronomically high with those stats. I am sick to my stomach that I went so long without having a Fi Collar to prevent this. Last week we were traveling and my sister in law was watching our dogs and they ended up chasing a mountain lion deep into the woods. Since we share their location with her, she was able to locate them in under 10 minutes. Nala is pretty aggressive when she feels threatened, so she did unfortunately engage with the animal. When my sister in law arrived, the animal ran off and my dogs recalled like champs. We took Nala to the vet as a safe check, and she told us we owe Fi a positive review as there is no way she should have made it home alive. I came onto Reddit to share my story to help others keep their dogs safe. I was so shocked and disheartened to see so many hateful reviews for a company that has kept my family whole. I fear that many users will see the hateful comments and choose not to try Fi for themselves, when it could be the one solution to saving them. All of this to say, use your own judgment and analyze your own situation prior to making any purchase. For me the Fi Collar is a no brainer. I highly recommend trying Fi out to keep your dog safe Happy to answer any questions anyone might have! Cheers! submitted by /u/geeniedreamer-78 to r/FiDogCollar [link] [comments]

TIFU by owning a Golden Retriever while being Black.
Sigh. Work was rough today and all I wanted to do afterward was to sit on the couch and let the TV watch me while eating food not cooked by my own hands. The answer to that? Delivery. Food ordered, I let the dog into the yard to burn some energy and sat camped outside with him while waiting for the delivery. Doordash, Grubhub, Uber and everyone other than Jehovah's Witnesses has trouble locating my address strictly relying on GPS so it's nothing for me to post up and wait outside for when they are close, flag them down and go back inside for a contactless drop-off. Pertinent details before shit hits the fan; my neighbor and I share a fence with a doggy door as our pups are super close and you can bet each time that if my dog is outside, hers will follow for cross-yard playtime. This was the case today and probably bad judgement on my part to think that I would be able to break up the fun quickly. Both dogs were in the neighbor’s yard at the time the notification came through that the driver was pulling up and I had to call out a few times to get my dog’s attention. Neighbor thankfully whistled for her dog and I had to put on the ”voice” for mine to acknowledge I existed and then took off running for my door while waving to the driver who by this point was getting out of the car. Pup and I have a game called Runaway where I will take off yelling ”RUNAWAY” and literally he will chase after me like some human sized fetch-stick. I use this to my advantage until he realized I was putting him inside but managed to get him through the storm door and close the screen before he could run out. Then realized that I'd left the gate locked like an idiot with the driver standing right outside by this point. I didn't have a mask on at this point and neither did she so I yelled from the porch that she could leave the food by the mailbox and that is where the fun started. ”Is that your dog?” My bullshit meter didn't go off. I thought she was asking a question with an obvious answer because duh, she was a dog person so I engaged with dog-owner gushiness. Yes; blah, blah, blah... His name is XYZ... Wanna say hi? I’ll be nice because you brought my food. But she just stood there awkwardly for a moment, put the food down and quickly jumped back into her car. In my mind I was like, ”okay weird” but whatever. Snatched the food and went back inside. Went to wash my hands and from the kitchen window, I can see the full street where she is still parked outside. Thinking “okay weird...” again but didn’t dwell on it too much figuring that she was looking at the route to her next location. I went about my business of preparing to destroy my meal. Few minutes later, the dog begins barking manically at the door. I take a glance at the cameras and realize she is still out front parked directly in front of my mailbox. Uh...ok? What’s going on here? I go outside and try to get her attention but she is on the phone and doesn’t notice me. I walk up like I’m going to check the mail and she does pull off, but towards the back of the neighborhood that only has one way in and one way out. Lots of people make that mistake and so you’ll quickly see cars turning back around but she never came back. By this time, I think I’m losing my mind so I go back in but still watching the street for the car to pass. It never does. I don’t know, people are weird so I just left it at that and went back to eat. About ten minutes later, dog starts going ham at the door so I check the cameras to see two police cars sitting outside my house. I continue to watch the cameras realizing that yup, the cops are getting out of the car and walking back and forth in front of mine and neighbor’s yards. I go out to see if anything is wrong and they introduce themselves before saying they were called because a stolen Golden Retriever was reported at my address and if there was a dog in the home. It clicked that Driver had called the police and then explained my version of what happened. They were really respectful and apologetic but asked if I could get Sir Pup. I went ahead and opened the door for the dog who took off, ready to greet the new faces outside. His collar has tags matching the address with my name and phone number on it in case he was ever lost or stolen which was proof enough for them as it was obvious that they wanted to get this over as fast as possible. No hard feelings on either side, we were all walking away when Driver’s car slowly comes creeping from the back of the neighborhood. I yelled out to them that the lady was right there and they positioned themselves in front of her car in a way she would have to stop and speak with them. I don’t know if this lady was drunk or off her meds but she rolled down the window and was literally sobbing hysterically that she saw me take the dog from the neighbor’s yard, that animals get no justice and the icing on the cake? MY KIND only owns Pittbulls and Rottweilers. There was no way he was mine and needed to be protected. I honestly did not want to deal with that mess so sorry guys, this isn’t a tale of revenge; I went back inside and stayed the fuck on my couch. My day was already shitty. Everyone left a few minutes after that so I assume she got a warning. However, I did report the incident to the delivery service and was offered credits towards my next meal. I splurged that on a bakery and now am currently fucking up a slice of carrot cake, grateful it didn’t end worse. TL; DR Ordered food, racist delivery person thought I stole my own Golden Retriever and had a breakdown when I didn’t get carted off in handcuffs. Didn’t get shot but got cake in the end. Edit: Wow, Reddit! Waking up to the massive amounts of love and well wishes was amazing! Thank you so much for your kind words! I am going to do my best and go through every comment and private message. I wish I could share this cake with all of you! Carrot cake lovers unite! Happy to share this pile of awards with other great posts and comments! Taking the sound advice to keep a close eye on the dog when he goes out. Will also share with neighbor just in case! My husband did agree with many of you to seek further action against the delivery driver but I’m pretty torn on whether to do so. Things are hard out here for all of us including the less savory members of our community but I will take the day to think on the next steps. I appreciate the sub this was posting to for restoring it after being removed. I apologize that this topic bent the rules and didn’t think 100% before submitting. This was a way to vent. Thank you for allowing this to be a place of dialogue! Stay classy, everyone! submitted by /u/AgentPapier to r/tifu [link] [comments]

[KY] Update on neighbor who destroyed my fence causing me to lose 3 dogs and some goats
Hey everyone, if for some reason you haven't seen my post from yesterday, here it is. I got home very late last night. My goats and dog are recovering. My dog that was put to sleep was cremated and I'm waiting for his ashes now. My neighbor did not get home until 2am and I applaud the very nice officers for waiting until she did. I gave them dinner as a thanks for everything they've done. I was with them when they arrested her because guess what, she used the area of my fence she broke down to get into her property. The police arrested her, they charged her with tresspassing, destruction of private property and animal cruelty. She called me a "white ass jibaro bitch who's a dirty liar" etc, etc. I found a laywer who is very interested in what happened and he's coming to visit a bit later to see the damages she caused. We blocked off the area she broke but just fenced around it so the coyotes and skunks head over to her land :) We did find one goat early this morning but he had to be put to sleep, some animal got to him. Still missing one more goat and Mordecai. Apparently someone had seen a dog similar looking to him a few miles away from us but we have taken some measures to see if we can lure him back to the property by laying a crate just outside of the fence with water and blankets that smell like us. We still have people keeping an eye out for him and I have invested some money for GPS trackers for all of my animals to wear. Wasn't cheap but if something like this happens again at least we will be able to track them. So now I am waiting for my laywer to come visit, I actually spoke with the new neighbors this morning and told them what was going on. I poilety told them about a suggestion made in the first post about how she should have been given some access through their property so she could get to the road because it is illegal to be landlocked. They said they'd "look into it". I suggested they have a land surveyer come and make sure their fence isn't over the property line just in case. I don't know if they will. I am going to sue, I now have a lame working dog who I have to find something for him to do, maybe just watch my chickens since they're so close to the house he won't actually have to go far at all. She still has a lot of land left, and I mean a lot. I didn't get to draw how much land she actually has left though. So now we just play the waiting game, I have called my insurance about the fence and my animals and they want to send someone out to see the damages. Thank you /r/legaladvice. I'll be sure to update after everything is done and settled :) Edit 1: Mordecai was spotted again, we have asked the people who are out searching while we can't to carry one crate with them and a towel that smells like us with them. We have been placing these crates in the areas in hopes he comes to them. MORDECAI HAS BEEN FOUND!! We found him in one of the crates we had placed out, he's thirsty and hungry but he is home safe and sound. We still haven't found our other goat. submitted by /u/landlocked011 to r/legaladvice [link] [comments]
