I've been an Android user my entire life. I tried going to iPhone so I could have Facetime (which I actually do love). I've been using iPhone 16 Pro the last two years but I'll be going back to Galaxy on my next phone. The experience of using Galaxy is just so much more superior in my opinion. TL;DR: love the iPad, hate this phone. I guess I’m just typing this to air out my frustrations with this phone. I originally gave it a try because I used to be a “Samsung fanboy” and as soon as I realized how cringe that was I forced myself out of my comfort zone. First, I’d like to clarify that I am not an Apple hater by any means. The reason I switch to an iPhone is because I was gifted an Apple TV about 6 years and was truly impressed with the quality and technology behind that little box. Great product. Then I tried the iPad for college… WOW. To say that I loved the product would be an understatement. I know it is a little pricey but with the student discounts plus some other offer they were doing at the time it was more than reasonable, I might even dare say cheap. So I naturally wanted to try the iPhone. I first got a second hand iPhone X from my father. I didn’t really like it but I’m not stupid, it was an old phone. So when I splashed it with water at the pool and it stopped working (my bad for assuming it was waterproof I guess?) I got the newest model at the time: the 16 pro. This thing sucks. Hardware wise, it’s good. Good battery, good screen, good camera. But wtf, I don’t want “good”, I want “best”. Am I not buying Apples best phone? My old Samsung had a better camera, better speakers, better screen, and it was usable while charging (more in this later). I would have been pleased with it if it wasn’t a 1000$ downgrade from my previous phone. I was expecting some iPad-level improvements but it was the opposite. Then came the software issues. For the first few weeks, I didn’t notice anything wrong. If something wasn’t intuitive to me I would just assume it was because I was coming from Android… but then the camera app stopped working. I would sometimes open the camera app and the screen would stay black. It lets me to take pictures but they are also a black square. I still don’t know how to fix that, don’t know what causes it, and it’s happening less often now but it still happens every few weeks. There’s also the issue with using the phone while charging, you can’t. If I charge it with the fast charging thing from Apple, the screen doesn’t work properly. I can only describe it as unresponsive. Typing becomes impossibly annoying, I can’t like posts when I want to, I accidentally like posts while scrolling, and if I’m recording something on Snapchat, no I’m not, it stopped detecting my finger. To fix this, I charge it without fast charging. Since I don’t own a non-fast-charging charger, I plug it into my PC… now the camera button shocks me. Incredible design, Apple. Then there’s all the other minor issues that, on top of the other stuff it just makes me regret ever changing to apple. I’ll try to list them quickly: Apple intelligence. It was supposed to come with the phone but it didn’t. Can’t set different volumes for different alarms. Sometimes alarms don’t sound and the only reason I don’t get fired is because I work for my father. When he the phone is in Silent, some apps sound, some apps don’t. If you need to repair anything, those “Geniuses” will try everything they can to get you to buy the newest model. Max volume is too low, min brightness is too bright. (Nitpicking at this point, I know, but I paid so much for this fucking thing). I am completely convinced that whoever designed the iPad refuses to work on the iPhone. I really wish I liked this phone. Would’ve been nice to have a cohesive ecosystem of products but I’m going to try some other Android next time I change phones. Hi guys, i own an Iphone 16 pro max 256 GB . It has passed 170 cycles with 100% health. The phone is so perfect yet so boring. I can’t complain lol, it is just so boring. March 19 ng 7:30am nanakaw iPhone 16 Pro ko sa Quezon city. Bumaba ako ng bus sa Sogo Hotel Mindanao ave pag baba ko nandon pa yung phone ko sa bulsa ng bag ko (honest mistake talaga and nafefeel ko na dapat ilagay ko sya sa bulsa ko kaso di ko ginawa) tumawid ako sa footbridge pa trinoma p2p then nung chineck ko wala na sa bag ko Ni-lost mode ko agad yung phone and na detect sa Victory Central Mall. Nag punta kami agad sa Police Station sa Caloocan ng 11:30am pero pinasa lang kami dun sa isa pang station na malapit sa mall ang ending kami na lang daw pumunta sa mall at hanapin yung phone ko kasi na tratrack ko sya sa watch ko tapos i-call sila kapag na ping ko na yung phone or tumunog. Nung nasa victory mall na ako sa tindahan ng phone inikot ikot ko pero di tumutunog and nakalagay sa watch 5meters to 2meters away na lang tinawag ko yung station para mag pasama sa pulis, sabi sakin kumuha daw muna ako ng documents police report at notary pati cctv (jusko hindi pa sinabi agad na kailangan ko pala kumuha non before nila ako samahan ending bumalik kami ng QC kasi para kumuha kasi dun daw nangyare incident) Sobrang hassle mag patulong sa pulis, sesermonan ka muna tapos pag nalaman na victory mall wala na daw yun nabenta na hindi na matratrack, pero pinilit ko pa din na kumuha ako ng report. Pumunta pa ako sa brgy kaso wala daw silang cctv. Bumalik kami ulit victory mall para hanapin at mag pasama sa pulis kasi may documents na ako and ending hindi pa din pwede pasukin ung store para isearch kasi wala daw akong search warrant?! like wtf pinakuha nyo na ako ng document tapos hahanapan nyo nanaman ako ng ibang document na wala ako kinabukasan bumalik na lang kami at hindi na nag pasama sa pulis kasi wala naman silang tulong at ambag, mababait lang kapag andyan yung higher ups nila. Hindi ko nilalahat pero majority ng na encounter ko na pulis sa incident na to walang dulot. Lesson learned na lang talaga next time na lalo ingatan yung phone and dagdagan security ng phone ko. may nakasabay din akong nawalan ng iphone habang nasa v mall ako. Nareport ko na din sa globe yung sim ko para kumuha ng bago and ma retain yung number ko.
