Hello guys, So i ordered iPhone 17 Pro Max from Apple Flagship Store store last March 6 but i received an empty box of iPhone 11 only. I have the proof and uncut video of unboxing. Pero up until now naka pending padin for reviewing yung case. Pwede pong makahingi ng advise on what to do. Halos everyday ako nag fofollow up sa kanila. Everytime na nag fofollow up ako laging wait for 24-72 hours for resolution hanggang sa umabot na ng 3weeks today with no update and resolution. Hi everyone, I’ve been using the Pro Max models since the iPhone 15, and overall I’ve been happy with them (great display, great battery life). However, every time I see friends using the regular Pro, I can’t help but feel a bit jealous of how compact and comfortable it looks. To be honest, there are quite a few situations where the Pro Max feels like a brick in my pocket. I’ve even had it fall on my face a couple of times while watching videos in bed - not the best experience, lol... I currently have the option to trade in my 17 Pro Max (Silver) for a brand-new 17 Pro (Deep Blue) and even receive some cash on top. The only thing holding me back is whether I’d regret giving up the larger display and battery. For context: I work remotely and use my phone a lot throughout the day Battery anxiety isn’t a big concern since I’m usually near chargers or have power banks available, so that's not a biggie For those who downsized from a Pro Max to a Pro - did you regret it? First of all, I’d like to clarify, this shouldn’t be used as a guide towards buying devices, there are many guides out there that are way better than what I have here, and this is only my personal opinion. My Background: I am a High School student here in Quebec, Canada, extremely interested in computer engineering related things, also an Apple Developer. I use two phones because of several reasons. But the main reason is that I have 4 phone numbers, 2 being personal, 2 for business, iPhone Air was bought as a secondary phone to run my tech company. I’m a subscriber of Apple One Premier and an additional 2TB iCloud Storage, which makes it 4TB in total. I don’t play games so I don’t have a “Gamer’s Advise” The two devices are: iPhone 17 Pro Max 1TB bought at launch and iPhone Air 256GB bought at around January, both with AppleCare+. Now, just to be clear, I’ve had a taste of nearly most, if not all Apple’s devices, but this year, it felt different with the introduction of iPhone Air. Weight: The first time I’m holding it, it was genuinely a “Holy S**t, this is real” moment. 17PM being the heaviest phone in Apple’s history vs Air being the lightest and thinnest. Spoilers: I find my self using Air more than 17PM now. Camera: 1.1 Rear: I believe this is something that most people will want to ask about. Through your my experience, I find the iPhone Air’s camera better than the iPhone 17 Pro Max (when used with the camera app). This is mainly noticeable when I’m shooting product pictures. Where sometimes on the 17, it would automatically switch to the macro mode which, yes captures details, but we lost depth, this never happens on the iPhone Air (and yes I know that there is a setting to disable it). Then onto the actual features, it wouldn’t be a suprise that the 17 have more features than the Air camera wise, Air’s zoom maxout at 10x while 17’s max out at 40x. Air doesn’t have features such as 0.5x, LOG, HDR, Raw, Cinematic mode, which I rarely use anyways, so taking pictures had really just been mainly using my Air, it’s so much easier to take out in and out through out the day. 1.2 Front: Same 1.3 Camera Control Button: I like Air’s Camera control button way more the 17ProMax and 17 Pro’s, iPhone Air is built in a way that the size is in the middle of both. The iPhone 17 Pro that I’ve bought I realized that I usually over reaches the CC button, which isn’t the best experience ever, which 17PM’s CC button is hard to reach, and even harder to click with one hand. Air’s camera control button (with the advantage of the size) is perfect, and I’d actually use the button on the Air. 2 Screen: 2.1 Quality: No noticeable difference 2.2 Dynamic Island: The iPhone Air’s Dynamic Island has been shifted slightly downwards for the camera module. There are reports saying how apps haven’t adapted to this change, but by the time I’ve got this iPhone, I haven’t experienced anything like this. 3 Speaker: I seriously don’t see any problems with the Air being mono sound, this might differ by people. The only thing that bothers me a little is that the sound coming out of the Air doesn’t have the “layers” and lacks of base. I used AirPod Pro anyways. 4 Battery Life: My honest opinion, Air Can provide you with one full day of normal day to day use, 17PM around 1.5 days. Not much of a difference, somehow. But when you mix two phones together, gosh it’s amazing. 5 Signals iPhone Air uses Apple’s proprietary C1X baseband, it mostly stays the same as my 17, however, it’s slightly so faster when the signals are strong, but C1X sometimes drops signals randomly (as in no signal completely) especially on sim2 if you have 2 esims. In basements iPhone Air cell reception beats iPhone 17PM, ALWAYS. 6 Heat iPhone Air does an extremely BAD job when it comes to heat distribution compared to 17PM, heats are concentrated on the top plateau section, but this rarely costs any problems. 7 AppleTV/Youtube If you are someone who likes laying in bed while watching content and you hate how you arms get tired, this phone is for you. 8 Storage The 17PM I bought despite having 1TB of storage, if you have iCloud 512GB is more than enough. Currently my 1.5TB of pictures are stored on iCloud, the actual phone storage still has around 800GB left. 9 Gaming Gaming on iPhone Air is slightly worse than 17PM, in this case, I tested using the good old Genshin Impact, all maxed out. (This is literally my benchmark now). It seems like Air would experience a lot more lags than 17PM, despite the phone being in normal temps. 10 flash light On iPhone Air, the flash light is not like the 17PM’s, where you can adjust the horizontal length (which does nothing anyways). You ca only adjust how light you want it to be. Honestly, in my opinion, iPhone Air wins me, I’m pulling iPhone Air out and using that more than I’m using my 17 Pro Max, and this is unbelievable, that I’d start to prefer a entry/middle level device than a professional grade device. In a few weeks, I’d be in china for holidays, and there I will buy a base model 17, just because both of my phones lacks SIM card slots while China only supports Physical SIM card. I’ll write another comparison once I’ve got a taste of that.
