I have an Iranian Jewish friend who fled the Iranian revolution in the 70s with her young children. She lives in the same city as me. She's a wonderful, generous person. Her neighbor flies a huge Palestinian flag from their porch. I'm not suggesting it's targeted at all. It's just such a perfect example of the way we have to live our lives side-by-side these stressful reminders. Another house in the neighborhood has a sign that says "ICE = GESTAPO" posted on their window. I don't necessarily disagree, though I think it's maybe not a great comparison.
