I’ll make another post for textured male hairstyles if they don’t have any (good) updates next month. I cannot use that afro undercut (they’re getting better at texture rendering tho) or those godawful Mt Fuji rising from the hairline looking locs they have so I need them to update their library asap submitted by /u/BWAHAHAHA344 to r/Episode [link] [comments]

Top 10 Men’s Hairstyles for 2025: Look Sharp, Mate
Hey, mate, you ever catch yourself staring in the mirror, wondering if your hair’s stuck in a time warp? I get it. Last month, I walked into a barber shop, pointed at my mop, and said, “Do something cool.” The guy gave me a textured crop, and I swear I felt like a new man. Hair’s a game-changer, and 2025’s serving up some absolute bangers for blokes. Whether you’re channeling Timothée Chalamet or just want something low-maintenance for Zoom calls, here’s my rundown of the top 10 men’s hairstyles that’ll have you looking fresher than a cold one on a summer arvo. (Okay, I’m already hyped just typing this—let’s dive in before I ramble about my barber again.) 1. Textured Crop This one’s the MVP. Short sides, longer top, with a choppy, textured finish that says, “I tried, but not too hard.” Works for straight or wavy hair, and it’s a breeze to style—just a dab of matte pomade and you’re sorted. I saw a dude on X rocking this with a fade, and it was straight-up fire. Perfect if you want to look sharp without spending an hour in front of the mirror. 2. Modern Mullet Yeah, the mullet’s back, and it’s not just for footy legends anymore. Think business up front, party in the back, but classier—shorter sides, a bit of texture, and a tail that’s more subtle than your uncle’s 80s ‘do. It’s bold but versatile. Pair it with a beard, and you’re giving off rugged rockstar vibes. Anyone else loving this comeback? I’m tempted to try it. 3. Mid-Fade Pompadour The pompadour’s got swagger. A high or mid fade keeps the sides tight, while the top’s long enough to slick back with some volume. It’s a nod to Elvis but modernized—no greasy comb needed. Takes a bit of styling effort, but when you nail it, heads turn. My mate Dave tried this for a wedding and looked like he stepped out of a GQ shoot. Commitment’s key, though. 4. Curtain Bangs Channel your inner heartthrob with curtain bangs—long, parted fringe that frames your face like you’re auditioning for a rom-com. Works best with wavy or curly hair, and it’s low-maintenance; just let it air-dry or tousle with some sea salt spray. Reddit’s buzzing about this one for guys with longer locks. It’s giving 90s Leo DiCaprio, and I’m here for it. 5. Buzz Cut with Design The buzz cut’s always a classic, but 2025’s version’s got flair—think shaved patterns or line art on the sides. It’s clean, tough, and perfect if you’re over faffing with products. One X post showed a guy with a lightning bolt design, and it was next-level cool. Great for hot climates or if you just want to roll out of bed looking decent. (Why didn’t I try this in uni?) 6. Undercut with Textured Top This one’s a crowd-pleaser: shaved or short sides, long top with messy texture. You can slick it back, sweep it sideways, or let it flop naturally—versatility’s the name of the game. Suits most face shapes and hair types, plus it grows out nicely. I saw a barber on TikTok style this with a hard part, and it was sharp as a tack. Easy to maintain but never boring. 7. Taper Fade with Curls Got curls? Show ‘em off. A taper fade cleans up the sides and back, letting your natural curls pop on top. It’s low-maintenance but high-impact, especially for thick or coily hair. A bit of curl cream keeps it defined. One guy I know got this and said it cut his morning routine in half. Bonus: it looks ace with or without a beard. 8. Side Part with Low Fade Old-school meets new-school. The side part’s crisp and polished, but a low fade adds a modern edge. It’s the haircut you rock to a job interview or a first date—timeless but not stuffy. A little gel or pomade keeps it in place. My cousin swore by this for years, and he’s convinced it’s why he landed his gig. Who’s arguing with that? 9. Long Textured Waves If you’ve got the patience to grow your hair out, long textured waves are a vibe. Think shoulder-length, tousled locks with layers for movement—perfect for surfer dudes or artsy types. A touch of styling cream keeps it from looking like a bird’s nest. Saw a bloke with this at a café, and I legit did a double-take. Takes guts, but the payoff’s huge. 10. Crew Cut with High Fade The crew cut’s your no-nonsense mate. Short all over, slightly longer on top, with a high fade for that clean, military edge. It’s practically bulletproof—works for any hair type, face shape, or lifestyle. No styling required; just wash and go. A mate of mine got this before a big trip and said it was the best decision ever. Ideal if you’re busy or just hate mirrors. Why These Cuts Are It This lineup’s got something for everyone—low-effort buzz cuts, bold mullets, or suave pompadours that make you feel like a million bucks. The trick? Pick one that fits your life and swagger. Chat with your barber about face shape or hair texture to nail the look. And don’t sleep on products—matte clay or sea salt spray can elevate even the simplest cut. (Also, pro tip: tip your barber well. They’re basically artists.) Ready to switch it up? Hit the chair and tell ‘em to make you look like you’ve got your life together. Which one’s your vibe? I’m still eyeing that mullet, no lie.Hey, mate, you ever catch yourself staring in the mirror, wondering if your hair’s stuck in a time warp? I get it. “Slut Strands”
Megs does listen—at least when you shout at her for a thousand years. Witness her recent wardrobe at Whistler. Clothes fit (mostly) & were ironed (mostly.) She matched white w/ white rather than w/ some random off-white/cream color that snagged the eye the same way a well-baited hook snags a fish. Sure there were problems but on the whole she was fairly presentable. But then there was her hair. And now, w/ her lifestyle gig, there is still the problem w/ her hair. Specifically, slut strands. Slut strands have been around forever. I doubt Miss Elizabeth Bennett of Pride & Prejudice was unaware (at least after she started to notice what a tasty dish Mr. Darcy was) that wispy strands of delicate locks framing a young lady’s face created a fetching impression. Coils of unruly hair escaping an otherwise staid coiffeur likely have excited men for eons. Technically, though, the creation of modern “slut strands” is claimed by a group of women athletes competing in the Winter Olympics in the late ‘90s & early 2000s where said strands served to “signal… to everyone else on the hill that you want to be recognized as a female athlete.” At least that’s the story. Funny enough for whatever reason they are not called Serious Female Athlete Strands. I think most of us could agree that “slut strands” have something to do w/ sex. (Even for Miss Elizabeth Bennett.) They serve to evoke the wild abandon of the early stages of intense lovemaking. He w/ his chest exposed, she w/ her hair escaping its bonds & cascading down her heaving breast. And that’s what I think we can assume Megs is trying to signal. That she is a sexually available female. Even when cooking, she’s ready for a roll in the …well… flower strewn meadow. Otherwise I doubt she has any interest in competing in downhill racing on fresh powder w/ a clutch of serious female athletes. OK, we’ll buy slut strands in the kitchen. You never know who’ll pop by. But why the hell is Meghan Markle wearing “slut strands” while bee keeping? Of all the weird stuff that I’ve seen in this series, this is the weirdest. I assume you need your full visual field to work w/ bees. If your suit is leaking bees you’d probably want to know. Something unidentified goes streaking by is probably something worth honing in on. And large strands of floppy hairlike tendrils will only get in the way. Besides who exactly are you coming onto: bees? Anymore Meghan’s hairstyle echoes the hairstyles of maiden aunts who have frozen their esthetic around giant bouffant hairdos (1950s) , Marcelled curls (1920s) or mullets (whenever.) It looks deeply weird & borderline idiotic. And having hair dangling down your face while cooking has excited everyone’s scorn. But really, what about the bees? submitted by /u/lastlemming-pip to r/SaintMeghanMarkle [link] [comments]

Mainstream Men's Hairstyles of 21st Century So Far...
Sloppy Spiked Hair 2000-2012 = sloppy spiked hair with lots of gel, mouse, or pomade (this was basically the staple of every guy and still widely worn for guys over age 45) it was spiked, scissors cut on sides and back usually, although some guys had electric razor cuts on the sides and back. The theme of this look was to appear "messy, like bed head". Some guys with dark hair dyed the tips of the spikes blonde. The Helmet Head 2002-2010 = This was usually worn on teen boys or those in their early 20s, it was also popular on the West coast, such as California. Basically this was a 70's Helmet Haircut (think of Scott Baio in 1980/1981 as a reference if needed)...some people called this the "shag" as well, this was big in the Emo community. So younger people today do not realize it was a recycled 70s hairstyle and instead think of Just Beiber instead. This hairstyle also carried a bit into the first two years of the 2010s before just becoming rare. It was usually parted on the side or "middle-side" and was layered to lool like bangs in the front but cover the ears like ear muffs, and cut about in the back but with about a half inch to an inch covering the back of the neck to balance it out a but and not make a persons neck look too long. The Fauxhawk Hairstyle This was simply a combination of the sloppy spiked hairstyle and a mowhawk. It worked well with guys with receding hairlines as well. It was cut closer with electric razors on the sides, and scissor clipped on the rest of the hair. Some guys shaved the back of the head as well, others grew the back of the head to match the length of the scissor cut top of the head. The spikes were not very high. Hair gel was usually the product worn to achieve this look. It was also around the Jersey Shore Era, with Ed Hardy t-shirts and MMA fighting was popular, and this hairstyle is often associated with that now. The Hitler Haircut 2010-2021 = This is a hairstyle that started showing up in small groups in late 2008/early 2009 but it was not popularized until 2010 when PSY wore it. Basically this was a recycled hairstyle from the 1930s and 1940s...sadly the most notable person that has ever worn this hairstyle in history was Hitler. How this hairstyle was worn...it was parted on the side, and the sides and back of the head were cut with an electric razor very close to the scalp, then the parted hair on top would slightly cover the other side of the scalp that was not as exposed. As the decade progressed other started wearing it, but by the late 2010s it was more popular in the LGBT community. The best way to describe the "Hitler Haircut" or "Undercut/Gentleman's Cut" as it was sometimes referred to was that it look like a lopsided wig that was slipping off the side of a persons head. The "Smith Brothers" Cough Drops Cut 2010-2022 = This was a classic old school 19th century barber shop haircut, it was closely shaved on the sides and back but faded up a bit on the upper sides and back of head being longer on the top and then parted on the side. This was not a new hairstyle by any means, but instead a very common hairstyle you saw in 19th century photos and early silent film era movies. Many men that had this hairstyle often wore in with very long Smith Bothers Cough Drop beards...the same with the haircut, which gave it the nickname "The Smith Bros. Cough Drop Hairstyle", others simply called it the Hipster look as lumber jack clothing would be worn with it. The Edgar Haircut 2017-2022 = A mix between the Caeser haircut and a bowl cut. The Edgar haircut has indigenous roots, and some say it resembles the hairstyles of the Jumano tribe. It was worn brushed down with small bangs that were cut higher to the hairline (think of Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber) but the sides were cut or shaved to the scalp very close, the back was was tapered in. The Broccoli Haircut 2018-Present = The is a hairstyle that resembles those of the New Romantic/New Wave period in the UK. It is permed (or naturally curled) on the top, with curled bangs on the forehead, it is often shaved close on the lower sides and back. Some guys shave the lower sides and back to the scalp, others scissor cut it close to the scalp. It is a very "Top-Heavy" hairstyle. The Wolfcut/Mullet 2022- Present = This hairstyle is the most modern of the list so far, This is currently a very popular '20s hairstyle as well. It is very versatile and can be worn with any hair type. It is often layered from front to back. Some guys wear it parted in the middle, parted on the side, slicked back, or in curls. It is often cut shorter on top and longer in the back. The sides are cut in a way to balance the top and back out a bit if properly done by a hairstylist. This hairstyle works with many facial types and neck lengths as as well, often balancing out a persons face, nose and neck more. It is usually scissor cut and the ear is either completely exposed, or half exposed, or slightly exposed, the back is often 1inch or longer. It also makes a persons hair look like it it thicker and fuller. submitted by /u/avalonMMXXII to r/decadeology [link] [comments]

Bollywood vs Hollywood men's hairstyles during 80s,90s,2000s
I really found this interesting thing looking at bollywood mens hairststyles across the 80s,90s and 2000s. I found that hairstyles that were popular in the west come to bollywood about 10 years later. Basically the below pictures will try depicting how the masculine mullet trend predominatly seen in hollywood action heroes of the 80s similarly become a massive trend in india in the 90s ,starting around 1991 through sanjay dutt's Saajan and lasted around until 1997/98/99 around when actors like sanjay dutt, akshay kumar, saif ali khan got rid of the mullet and cutting it to a short and neat hairstyle. And by 2000 all bollywood actors no longer sported a mullet and instead a short neat trimmed look. Whereas if you see western actors, they ditched their mullets around 1988/89 eg. tom cruise, brad pitt and all other A list actors whereas in bollywood this happened a decade later. Now if we look at grundge hairstyles that become really popular in america after 1991 (thanks to Kurt Kobain's "smells like teen spirit" song) really embodied the rugged and tough rockstar against against the mainstream which actually become popular in hollywood around 1993/94 and lasted till 1998 eg. tom cruise, brad pitt again sorry :) But we saw this look actually get popular in India around 2004's "Dhoom" when John Abraham unleashed his long haired goatee look and made it an overnight trend for all the indian guys around 2004-2009. Can you guys see the pattern, I mean it was really intriguing seeing this pattern across the West and India in terms of fashion. Same 10 year difference pattern can be seen in the type of movie styles between the two industries back then. Now lets compare the hairstyles of mainstream actors from bollywood and hollywood during 80s, 90s, 2000s FIRST WE COMPARE THE 80s: Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing (1987) Sanjay Dutt in Naam o Nishaan (1987) NOW THE 90s Tom Cruise in A Few Good Men (1992) AND ALSO DURING GRUNDGE POPULARITY IN AMERICA IN MID-90s Brad Pitt in 1994 Akshay Kumar in 1992 NOW THE 80S HAIR FAD KICKS IN INDIA AROUND THE EARLY 90s NOW THE 2000s: Zac Efron in High School Musical (2006) Akshay Kumar in Ek Rishta (2001) John Abraham in 2005 NOW IN THE EARLY 2000s WE SEE ACTORS TRIMMING THEIR MULLET AND CUTTING SHORT AND WITHIN A FEW EARLYS THE GRUNDGE HAIRSTYLES GET POPULAR AROUND MID 2000s. submitted by /u/Exact_Drawer_7734 to r/BollyBlindsNGossip [link] [comments]

Men's Tennis Fashion Through the Decades: Short Shorts, Bold Prints, and Unforgettable Hairstyles
Tennis is a sport of precision, grace, and strategy, but it’s also been a runway for some of the most daring, stylish, and downright peculiar fashion trends. From the tailored outfits of the early 20th century to the bold looks of today, tennis fashion has evolved with cultural shifts, showcasing personalities and styles as unique as the players themselves. Let’s journey through the decades and relive some of the most iconic looks. 1920s-1940s: The Age of Elegance Tennis fashion in the early days was all about sophistication. Men wore long-sleeve, button-down shirts, pleated white trousers, and often a knit sweater vest. The all-white dress code ruled the courts, especially at Wimbledon. Players to Remember: René Lacoste popularized the polo shirt, now a staple in tennis and casual wear. Fred Perry, known for his impeccable style, paired his tennis whites with a signature sweatband that became iconic. 1950s-1960s: Slim Fits and Classic Cool This era saw a shift to more athletic fits. Shorts became shorter (but still modest), and polo shirts started featuring subtle details like contrasting collars. Hairstyles were sharp and conservative—think crew cuts and slicked-back styles. Fashion Icons: Ken Rosewall embodied the clean-cut look of the 1950s. Rod Laver set trends with his neat, preppy style that complemented his dominance on the court. 1970s: Short Shorts and Bold Stripes Ah, the 1970s—a golden era for short shorts and vibrant colors. Brands like Fila, Adidas, and Nike began introducing bold stripes and contrasting trims. Shorts climbed higher up the thigh, making matches as much about style as skill. Hair followed suit with long, shaggy locks and sideburns dominating the look. Players to Remember: Björn Borg sported headbands and shoulder-length hair, creating a rockstar aesthetic. John Newcombe turned heads with his handlebar mustache and retro flair. Ilie Năstase, nicknamed "Nasty," often wore wild, colorful outfits that matched his on-court antics. 1980s: Neon Dreams and Mullets The 1980s brought a burst of neon, geometric patterns, and yes, the mullet. Short shorts were still in, but with more structure and often paired with bold, oversized tops. The era also saw the rise of headbands, wristbands, and sweatbands galore. Fashion Mavericks: Andre Agassi epitomized this era with his bleach-blond mullet, vibrant outfits, and rebellious vibe. Ivan Lendl leaned into colorful kits, proving you could win and look good doing it. https://preview.redd.it/e0tg1bixmk3e1.jpg?width=2630&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f79b0a284e039339dca4eb565ee4ec4966c3bda9 1990s: Baggy Vibes and Minimalism The 1990s marked a shift to baggier fits, influenced by streetwear and grunge trends. While the colors remained bold, the designs became cleaner. Hairstyles ranged from buzz cuts to the early attempts at frosted tips. Players to Watch: Pete Sampras embraced simplicity with understated polo shirts and neutral tones. Andre Agassi, transitioning to a shaved head, still kept his flair alive with eye-catching designs. 2000s: Tech Fabrics and Athletic Edge The 2000s saw a shift toward performance-driven fashion. Lightweight, moisture-wicking fabrics became the norm. Shorts grew longer, and form-fitting tops became popular. The all-white tradition remained at Wimbledon, but elsewhere, players were free to experiment. Icons of the Era: Roger Federer brought class back to the court with tailored fits and elegant designs. Rafael Nadal pushed boundaries with sleeveless tops and pirate-style headbands. https://preview.redd.it/0rxlmcuzmk3e1.jpg?width=266&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2aa739d402faebc3a79d188ff2179505a5272294 2010s-Present: High-Tech Meets High Fashion Today’s tennis fashion is a mix of high-tech innovation and high-end style. Players are brand ambassadors, sporting custom designs from Nike, Uniqlo, and Lacoste. Hair and grooming trends are polished and versatile. Modern Icons: Novak Djokovic often opts for sleek, performance-focused outfits with minimal flair. Nick Kyrgios mixes streetwear elements with bold color-blocking designs. Carlos Alcaraz, the new sensation, represents a youthful take on timeless looks. The Legacy of Men’s Tennis Fashion From the daringly short shorts of the 1970s to today’s cutting-edge designs, men’s tennis fashion has reflected the personalities and cultures of each era. Whether it’s Björn Borg’s flowing locks or Andre Agassi’s neon rebellion, these styles remind us that tennis isn’t just a game—it’s a canvas for self-expression. submitted by /u/LoveLoveTennis90210 to r/tennisfashion [link] [comments]

My forecast on the next hairstyle. (Men)
So we returned to the mullet but slightly altered. Broccoli haircuts and whatever. Basically the mullet just a little different. If you're following trends you should be able to see what's next: hairspray styles. Big hair grown out and styled with hairspray. I'm good at calling trends. Mark my words, in 2 to 3 years you will see '80s style hairspray hair. And it totally coincides with, once again, men being able to wear makeup that is socially acceptable. Men were wearing makeup in the '80s. It's currently socially acceptable for men to wear makeup again, after 30+ years of ridicule. That was not the case when I was 20 years old. The confluence of the apex of absurd hairstyles combined with the permissibility of men wearing makeup is paving the way for '80s hairspray hairstyles to come back. For those below the age of 35, just look up album covers from the '80s. Men had big hair and were wearing makeup and skin tight jeans. submitted by /u/happyluckystar to r/Millennials [link] [comments]
