Having kids cured me of any inability to drop off a long time ago! Don't need it to be dark, don't need the curtains drawn, out within minutes thankfully. Only place I really struggle is on an aeroplane. I think that's because sitting virtually upright just isn't conducive to sleep. For me anyway. Do any of those neck pillow things work?

Our pillows are a standard size but I'm not really sure of the firmness. All I know is that one of my doctors suggested a hypoallergenic S shaped contour pillow for my neck which has helped a lot. I could go upstairs and look at the tag but I'm too lazy.

I've always had large top boxes. Neck operations require I always travel with a certain large pillow. Never once has it affected the motorcycle. Givi 56 liter on my V85.

Follow Up: I decided to go with Coop Home Goods Cool. It seemed like the best match for adjustable support and temperature control since I switch between side and back sleeping. Hoping this one finally helps with the neck pain and I’ll update again after some time using it. I’ve been waking up with neck pain more often, and I’m starting to think my pillow is the main issue. i move between side and back sleeping, so support and loft really matter. I’m trying to figure out which pillow designs are better for alignment vs which ones end up feeling good at first but cause pain later. Material is also a factor since I tend to sleep warm. Am I crazy? Have the rules changed? I was boarding a flight when I get stopped by the gate agent and told I could only have 2 carry on items. I immediately look down thinking that I left my belt bag on, but I don't. I look at her confused because all I have is my backpack and carry-on suitcase. I ask her what she means and she points at the neck pillow I have attached to my backpack. I just say, "It's a neck pillow." Which she counters with, "You're not wearing it. It's on your bag." What? So I take it off and put it on my neck. She gives me this look that me says she wanted to roll her eyes, but let's me on. But seriously, is this normal? I know there are already some posts about this, but no one seems to have the right answer, so I wanted to ask again—maybe there are better products or solutions by now. Next month, I have a 15-hour flight from Croatia to Seoul, and I want to try to sleep most of the way, maybe 8-10 hours. The biggest problem is obviously my head. Without support, you get a stiff neck and your head keeps falling forward. Some people say the TRTL pillow works well, but it costs $70. Other travel pillows are either not supportive enough or get too hot/feel too tight. I also saw a sleep mask that attaches to the seat behind to hold your head, but it seems like most European airplane seats don’t allow that—or it might even be forbidden. So I'm new to cats (grew up with dogs) I moved away for a great job opportunity but I know no one here and can't visit my parents lab or friends pets so I decided to get my own. Labs and rotties are my favourite but I'm in a small apartment by myself and working full time I feel like it would be unfair for a big dog. Saw this stray rescue pop up on my FB so I picked her up last week. Learned after I brought her into work to show co workers that she's a torti (I think that's what they called her) and apparently they're kinda special in their own way. She is the most cuddly cat I've ever seen, she's attached to my hip. (Ignore the RBF I am very happy in the pic lol) My main question is how can I discipline her when she's in her "menace" mode? Lol Co worker mentioned a spray bottle but she'll be destroying my toilet paper or chewing on my power cables and I'll give her a spray and she runs off, then a couple mins later comes back to lay on my neck and rub her face on mine or knead my chest. But then 15 mins later she's back to doing the same thing???? I've been letting her free roam the apt when I'm at work and she's been fine!! Nothing out of place or anything! But when I'm home it's like she is trying to piss me off lol (only like 10-15% of the time, the rest she's the sweetest cutest angel) Would putting her on like a 30 min time out in the bathroom help? She sleeps right by my pillow all night and she will wake me up usually once but a quick spray and she leaves me alone till I get up and does still stick right by my face. I had to run a quick urgent errand on my lunch and when I pulled up FedEx was pulling away and I had to sign for the item. When I tell you I ran like a child running after an ice cream truck. This is my first time posting in this sub so sorry if this question doesn’t fit in but either way, I have a long 17 hour trip to indochina this summer and I recently got 3 neck pillows to see which one would help me the most for the trip. I got the trtl, ostrich go, and the bcozzy. The problem is that I didn’t find any of them comfortable. Because these are not your ordinary neck pillow I expected them to hold my head nice and snug in a comfortable position but that’s not the case. -TRTL: would uncomfortably press against my ear and I would have to really lean into it (basically lean my head on the person next to me at that point) to feel the full support -Bcozzy: just didn’t have any support whatsoever -Ostrich Go: had the nicest material and cushion, but I just couldn’t find the right angle in which I could rest my head on without falling over to one side. Hi all, Partner and I are taking a 10 day trip to Japan this summer. We are both very excited since this is our first trip. We have decided to one bag it (each). I got the Patagonia black hole 45L and partner got the Tortuga backpack pro 40 L. I purchased a couple of neck pillows from Amazon for this 14+hour trip. Are they actually worth it? I’m debating whether to get a neck pillow for long-haul flights. Since I’ve used inflatable ones before and they didn’t help at all (not comfortable at all), I’m considering non-inflatable ones, but there are a few things that stop me. Non-inflatable pillows just take up too much space. Other than actually using them on airplanes, they only become a huge burden. Carrying one through departing airports and destinations until I get to my accommodation already sounds cumbersome enough, not to mention finding no spot to set it aside while eating on the aircraft. The most common way I’ve seen people wear one is with the snap in the front. However, this forces you to tilt your head to the side to get support. The more comfortable way is to put it on backwards so the snap is in the back. My head naturally tilts forward when I sleep sitting down so this gives more support under my chin.
