I am looking for a new water bottle and the Owala Freesip bottle keeps popping up on my tl. One thing I really want in a bottle is a straw. It just makes it easier and fun for me to drink water during the day. The problem is that the last couple bottles I owned had that flip button lid design and they started leaking after a while. It was not a huge leak, but enough to make the inside of my backpack damp, which is soo annoying! For me leak proof means I can throw the bottle in my bag while walking or cycling and not worry about water leaking when the bottle moves around. The Owala Freesip bottle looks like it has a similar button lid, which made me wonder if the same thing eventually happens with this one too. I did some quick searching and saw a lot of similar bottles on Amazon and even Alibaba that use almost the same flip lid concept, so I assume the design itself is common. hello, I have had my Owala for a few months nows, I wash it three times a week. my biggest issue is with the water stopper At first, I thought it was crumbs stuck to the top. That was not the case. I would scrub and soak for many minutes/hours sometimes it would disappear, but it always comes back and reappears. It is damn near impossible to remove. I am at a loss. I am unsure why this keeps happening or what it is please someone let me know if this is solvable or they have dealt with a similar issue. I bought freesip twist half a year ago. I noticed that the stopper is toooo dirty, so I decided to wash it. However after I washed it, I don't know where it is!!! Hi all! I currently have an OG FreeSip that I keep around my apartment as my primary way of drinking water. I would like to purchase a 2nd Owala for when I'm on-the-go. I live in a major city without a car, and I almost exclusively walk & use public transit to get around. I'm wondering if any of you have experience with this (i.e, having to carry around a water bottle without having a car or other place to store it when you're out and about), and which Owala model would be best for these purposes. I really like my OG FreeSip, but I wonder if the Sway or Twist would be better, so I'd love to hear your feedback! I like the bucket handle on the Sway, but I have smaller hands and I worry the bottle might get too bulky to carry around all day. I was also looking at the Twist, because the more compact size appealed to me, but the thought of having to twist off the lid every time I needed a drink of water lowkey annoyed me LMAO (also I'm afraid I would somehow misplace it). I just happened to be browsing the Trove Brands website (the company that owns Owala) and saw that they had a bottle company called Avana. Upon further inspection I saw that they have two bottle styles with FreeSip in them! This first one is shaped like a normal Owala FreeSip Twist—but in tons of unique colours/finishes. This gunmetal one looks absolutely stunning, as does the matte black one. The second bottle has an entirely different shape than any Owala bottle with FreeSi, and it looks gorgeous. I was skeptical about Owala tbh, mostly bc I’m skeptical of all “trends” and especially stuff around water bottles like with Stanley (which isn’t even a water bottle let’s be honest, it’s just a glorified tumbler)…. I previously used a standard Nalgene for most of my life and then a Hydroflask with a sip straw lid. I tried the regular Owala FreeSip but it was too bulky, so I decided to try the Twist version. I’m really liking it! slimmer form means it’s easier to slide in and out of my backpack or tote side pockets insulated (I hate non-cold water) (although this is hardly an Owala-unique feature) leak-proof and the little holding loop that comes with the lid (my Hydroflask flip-sip lid does leak if the sip isn’t flipped down all the way) the free sip mouth is better than I expected; I almost exclusively use the straw sipping part but my spouse likes to chug nice colour selections, although this doesn’t really affect my water bottle buying or usage I was trying to take a nice photo of my nail polish with this bottle but literally didn’t realise until just now that the colour kind of matches the bottle neck!
