So I sold my old phone but forgot to remove my old physical sim however I transferred it to an esim with my current phone. I factory reset my old phone, is the physical sim deactivated? Will they be able to access my number and get messages? And am I able to get a new physical sim and swap from esim to physical again? Thanks.

Which is reasonable I guess to some extent. But it throws phone_max_usage_exceeded when you have multiple accounts. In my case, I have three accounts with an Plus upgrade and I am not able to login to the other two due to that limitation. Edit:https://github.com/openai/codex/issues/20161 I updated/installed Codex on Windows today, and now when I try to log in, it is asking me to verify my phone number again. The confusing part is that this same Codex/ChatGPT account was already phone-verified earlier. I normally log in using Google/Microsoft, and I have used this account before without this issue. Has anyone else seen this today or after the latest Codex update? Today when trying to login in a web browser, a phone verification process appeared. It cannot be postponed, nor bypassed. The Department of Homeland Security is expanding its efforts to identify Americans who oppose Immigration and Customs Enforcement by sending tech companies legal requests for the names, email addresses, telephone numbers and other identifying data behind social media accounts that track or criticize the agency. In recent months, Google, Reddit, Discord and Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram, have received hundreds of administrative subpoenas from the Department of Homeland Security, according to four government officials and tech employees privy to the requests. They spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly. Google, Meta and Reddit complied with some of the requests, the government officials said. In the subpoenas, the department asked the companies for identifying details of accounts that do not have a real person’s name attached and that have criticized ICE or pointed to the locations of ICE agents. The New York Times saw two subpoenas that were sent to Meta over the last six months. The tech companies, which can choose whether or not to provide the information, have said they review government requests before complying. Some of the companies notified the people whom the government had requested data on and gave them 10 to 14 days to fight the subpoena in court. “The government is taking more liberties than they used to,” said Steve Loney, a senior supervising attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania. “It’s a whole other level of frequency and lack of accountability.” Over the last six months, Mr. Loney has represented people whose social media account information was sought by the Department of Homeland Security. I want a 2nd number so when I’m on social media, join a membership like Starbucks, or need to give out my number to someone I don’t know well, etc. i don’t need to use my main number. I was curious if these apps that create free ones are good and work? I tried to research but I saw so much conflicting information otherwise I wouldn’t ask. For example one person said using a free second number won’t allow you to get text messages if you try to sign up for things like I mentioned. I know many apps text you codes to verify you’re real so that wouldn’t work. Obviously I can buy a second phone if that’s the best option but I love the word “free” as well. Matched with a girl on Hinge. She made a comment about “when I was going to FaceTime her”. Stated the obvious, which is “I don’t have your number.” So she sends it, okay fair. She had made a few comments on hinge prior to me texting her about “all men” and “all boys” in mostly negative contexts, but I had assumed those may have been a joke so I rolled with it, as opposed to getting offended and trying to come off as defensive, in an attempt to give her the benefit of the doubt.
