I don't expect my PS5 to compete with top end PCs. Thats the trade off I accept, by not needing to dish out money. Hi All. i’ve been game sharing with my friends for years, from ps4 to ps5, whether its for co-op games or ps plus benefits, we all shared accounts. it worked well, ps4 was pretty straightforward, however, ps5 was way better, ive had it act as primary on two separate consoles and one ps4, ive done that ever since i got a ps5, it worked well until now, it stopped only on my account which is weird, my friends account acts as primary on HIS console and MY console still, just my account, suddenly stopped working, wont activate on both, will only accept one console.. this wouldn’t be an issue, except for this account not being the one i use, i play and collect trophies on a different account, because yk, game-sharing. anyone else run into something like this? any work-arounds? ;) thank you all submitted by /u/reptillianclubboy to r/PlayStationSolutions [link] [comments]

Digital game sharing on PS5 is more flexible than most people think, and you do not need to buy games twice if you set it up correctly. The key is console sharing and which system is marked as primary. If you buy a game on your account, you can log into your spouse’s PS5 with that same account and enable console sharing and offline play on her console. Once that’s done, she can download and play your games on her own profile, even if you are not logged in. Your PS Plus benefits also carry over on that console. On your own PS5, you simply log in normally and play from your account. Both consoles can play at the same time, including the same game, as long as you are each using your own profiles. I have been using this setup for years and it works reliably. The only real catch is internet checks. The console that is not set as primary may occasionally need to verify licenses online, so keeping it connected avoids interruptions. Also, a few games handle online access differently, but most modern titles work fine. If you are planning a two console household, this setup makes a second PS5 very usable instead of decorative. If you didn't see the news, Xbox pricing is increasing across the board. Expect Sony to follow soon as well. If you're looking to get a PS5 I would do so sooner rather than later. Same with any games you've been eyeing. You can always wait for sales of course, but it's hard to see what will happen in the future. Just thought I would post a friendly reminder and heads up. Edit: I am aware that in other countries the cost of the PS5 has gone up in the last few weeks, but I would expect another massive increase as well. Hey all. New to console sharing and me and two friends were wondering if there’s a way to share. I believe(?) there’s a limitation that only two people could play a game simultaneously, but is it even possible to do this? I have a ps5 and want to share with my friend. He already is sharing with his brother, who has his own ps5.
