When you buy fruit for a healthy snack but end up neglecting it… then “oops I guess now I have to make crumble bars before it goes bad”…today’s victim was strawberries 🍓
I use this recipe. At least once every few weeks. When I “accidentally” forget about the fruit in my fridge https://flavormosaic.com/strawberry-crumb-bars/ submitted by /u/ForMartha to r/Baking [link] [comments]

what are the healthy snacks that actually satisfy the dopamine for y'all?
Continually trying to work on my health and make better food choices. I do love fruits and veg and other healthier snacks, but they also just don't give the same hit as chips or chocolate, especially when gardening. I do love roasted edamame but it's not the same crunch! submitted by /u/Sufficient-Fox5872 to r/adhdwomen [link] [comments]

When you want a savory snack that’s quick and actually feels healthy, what do you do?
I’m trying to eat in a way that supports long-term health, but I keep running into the same gap when I’m traveling or pressed for time. Sweet snacks are everywhere, and full meals take time - but savory, grab-and-go options that feel good to eat seem harder to come by. Curious how others handle that moment - whether it’s something you rely on, something you tolerate, or something you wish existed? submitted by /u/WholeFoodNerd to r/EatCheapAndHealthy [link] [comments]

TIL supermarkets put fruits and veggies right at the entrance so you feel like you’ve made a healthy choice — giving you permission to grab junk food later without guilt. Meanwhile, essentials like milk are way at the back, forcing you to walk past all the snacks.

A new study suggests that people respond negatively to the switch to daylight saving time. Sleepiness caused by the one-hour setback impairs self-control and leads to less healthy consumption behavior. Unhealthy snacks increase following the time change and visits to fitness centers decrease.

AITA for telling my sister she has to buy healthy snacks for the whole house and not just for her husband ?
I noticed when I visit my sister’s house the kids are always hungry. She told me she feeds them dinner but gives them no snacks in between? The kids are 15. One is 18 but is at home for college break. She has a bunch of healthy snacks and fruits yogurts etc in the house but she said the snacks are for her husband since he’s getting older and she said she is trying to keep him healthy and energized. I was like “ that’s just not right in my opinion. Giving the kids two square meals a day with no snacks is not enough food. They need something throughout the day. She said “ they are more welcome to keep a job if they want to pay for their extra snacks. I’m not starving them. I cook them meals. I just don’t buy them snacks.” I noticed she babies her husband as well and telling him he needs to take 3-4 naps a day. He is the breadwinner of their house and makes 150k but she said she does the shopping in the house. She barely makes $11 an hour so I wonder if she’s afraid she won’t be able to survive if her husband passed and that’s why she’s been trying to force him to eat healthy and take naps throughout the day but it’s still crappy wait to treat her kid. Kids need enough food to sustain their bodies also She said her husband doesn’t have any underlying health issues. She said she’s just trying to prevent them before they start submitted by /u/Far-Ad9864 to r/AITAH [link] [comments]

What is a healthy snack that is easy to make?
I’m trying to gain weight and I’ve heard that snacking is a good way of doing it, but most snacks I’ve found/tried to make contain a lot of oil. Any help would be greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/Weird_Acanthaceae_18 to r/nutrition [link] [comments]

Healthy snacks that still satisfy the munchies?
Hi all! Does anyone have suggestions for healthy snacks that still satisfy the munchies? I indulge in the occasional edible and would like to have healthier snacks on hand that are still yummy. Popcorn, pickles, and watermelon are current favorites, but I’d appreciate some more variety! submitted by /u/laotongalice to r/TheGirlSurvivalGuide [link] [comments]

First-of-its-kind global survey shows the initial phase of the COVID-19 lockdown dramatically altered our personal habits. Overall, healthy eating increased because we ate out less frequently. However, we snacked more. We got less exercise. We went to bed later and slept more poorly
