It didn’t smell like anything and when I poked it with a stick it kinda just sank it and didn’t burst or anything. Didn’t seem to have any goo in it. Update* Maintenance took a sample of it and are just as curious. I live by Purdue University and they are taking it to a lab so they can test it lol. Also dont believe it is honey. doesnt have the right consistency or any smell to it. also no trace of bee activity Edit* Y'all its not detergent I promise lol Okay y’all, what in the actual hell is this?? I found this goop like substance not too long ago, no clue how long it’s been there, but had to pop up within a day. Don’t know where it came from or how it got there. There is no obvious source where it is coming/leaking(?) from. There is no hole or crack and it’s not coming from the seam. Looks like maybe it’s starting from the top edge of the drywall (??) I made a mark in it to see if it was still active, but hours later and nothings changed. I poked it and it’s not sticky or watery, it’s kinda like oil/fatty/waxy. So I thought my laundry detergent squirted out and dried or something, but it doesn’t have a smell to it and when ran under water it didn’t suds up like a soap would. It was like cleaning bacon fat off a pan, didn’t come off easily and was super greasy. I would also think there would be more of a splatter, but it’s in a straight line like it’s dripping from somewhere, kinda like sap would from a tree. Okay so maybe there is a leak from a pipe or roof, but there is no piping anywhere close and no signs of water damage. Directly behind it is drywall and wood beams. Thought it could be like glue or foam insulation that got too hot and melted or got wet or even a random chemical reaction, but you would think there would be a chemically smell and it would be kinda sticky or maybe harden, but again has no smell and doesn’t stick and squishes when poked. That also rules out anything that would come from an animal too. Not pee or vomit or decay This is a rental house so I contacted maintenance and a gentleman came over right away to take a look. He had no clue what the hell it is either. He said he’s worked on the drywall in this spot a few years ago and said nothing is behind there that could be causing it. He FaceTimed a handful of his coworkers and they also had no clue! The only thing that we can think it is is ectoplasm. Joking but not joking. Cuz literally anything else doesn’t make a lick of sense. So he collected a sample just for kicks n giggles and told me to let them know if it comes back. Said he might use his own money to get a lab to test it lol. Truly I’m at a loss at this. Nothing makes sense. There isn’t anything remotely close to what I could guess it is. The only thing I can think of is ectoplasm, and I don’t believe in ghosts. Would also think there would be more signs of ghosts lol. So any guesses? Or know of any forums that u should post it to. I had to remove her to the birdcage after 2 beans born cause her cage mates were grabbing the babies away. She birthed the rest with me keeping an eye on her. She's really bloody still. That was quite a birth! But no nips no nothing. She is the best! One baby has what looks to be an injury to a back leg, that was one of the first babies born and was probably hurt during baby football with the cage mates. They are all pretty even in size. Found in East Tennessee, United States in my yard. I don’t know much about mycology, but I was assuming it’s a type of slime fungus. I couldn’t find any results with a reverse image search or similar terms. As caption says, it’s squishy, red, and smells like sweet and sour sauce. So, my partner and I are both about the same weight and he's only a couple of inches taller than me. We both weigh about 98kg / 215lbs so we are chunky. I am squishy and soft, and I jiggle. I'm trying to lose weight but that's not what this post is about. I am soft and squishy and jiggly. His belly is rock solid. He is not soft and squishy and jiggly even though he is also fat (no judgement, just factual). Why? Is it to do with muscle mass? Different biologically due to male vs female? I'm so curious. ETA: I didn't ask for opinions on our "unhealthy lifestyles" or to be told I'm actually morbidly obese not chunky. I am aware. For extra context, no he isn't a bodybuilder, so no I'm not asking why is he all muscle when I'm fat. My boyfriend is also fat. His belly is bigger than my belly, because I have massive boobs which easily accounts for some of my weight, and he doesn't. He is only 3 inches taller than me. There is not a significant difference in BMI. I am the one who goes to the gym and has a more active lifestyle than him. I literally wanted to know why my fat belly is squishy, whereas his fat belly is hard. Thanks to all the lovely respectful people who answered with facts before this descended into weird sexist comments suggesting fat women are lazy and gross, but heavy men are all manual labourers.
