iPhone 15 USB-C Port Only Charges, No Data Transfer or Accessories Working
Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my iPhone 15 and would appreciate any advice. The USB-C port works perfectly for charging, but that’s the only thing it does. Whenever I connect the phone to a laptop or computer, the device is not detected and no data transfer is possible. I’ve also tried connecting external USB-C accessories, such as a microphone, but the iPhone does not recognize them either. The accessories receive power, but they are not detected by the phone. So far: Charging works normally. Data transfer to a PC/laptop does not work. USB-C microphones and other accessories are not recognized. I have tried different cables and devices, but the issue remains the same. Has anyone experienced a similar problem with an iPhone 15? Could this be a software setting, a USB-C port issue, or a hardware fault? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! submitted by /u/Fantastic_Virus_9052 to r/iphone [link] [comments]

GBA so USB C adapter.
If anyone wants to charge a GBA SP with USB C without modding this is brilliant. Especially as it allows you to charge and use headphones at the same time. Got mine for about £10 on AliExpress. submitted by /u/midnight_umbreon_666 to r/Gameboy [link] [comments]

Why doesn't the PS5 recognize my Apple USB-C headset?
I just got a new PS5 and bought an USB-C headsets from Apple to go with it, as my screen cannot output audio. I tried plugging it into the console directly as well as into the controller and it just doesn't get recognized. Anyone knows how to fix this? Playing without sound would be a real bummer. submitted by /u/DummiDu to r/PlayStationSolutions [link] [comments]

wired official apple headphones/earbuds not working
i have the official usb-c apple headphones. they were working fine with my iphone 16 for months. but today they suddenly stopped working. it seems like my phone has completely stopped detecting the earphones. i tried restarting my iphone several times while the earphones were plugged and unplugged and even updating to ios 26 but it still doesn't work. my phone charges fine and the usb-c earphones work on my macbook, so the problem is probably not with the earphones themselves. (plus they worked fine the past few days) i tried using a knock off apple usb-c earbud on my phone and it wouldn't work either. i tried all kinds of solutions like turning on headphone accommodations, forgetting all usb devices, and even trying to plug the earphones in slowly to find the connection point but no matter what, my phone just wouldn't detect the earphones. i tried to see if the problem was spotify only but the problem is the same with youtube as well. it just doesn't detect my earphones, doesn't show any symbol or sign that my earphones are connected. the sound will just play through the phone speakers. submitted by /u/bzz123456789 to r/applehelp [link] [comments]

Recommendations for Wired Earbuds with USB-C Connectivity?
Priorities in order: Wired USB-C Connectivity In ear headphones/earbuds Durable - would love to get a minimum of 3 years of moderate use out of them. Microphone (Flexible, but ideally) $45 or less They don't have to be the most incredible audio quality ever created, I'm just tired of having to constantly replace my headphones. I primarily use my headphones for videos or music while in public, or for work meetings. I'd use them probably 3-4 times a week. I've mostly tried cheap options off Amazon, hence them breaking constantly. submitted by /u/cuccumella to r/BuyItForLife [link] [comments]

Is this a USB-C female port?
Hello! I’m looking to find an adaptor for my laptop to connect my headphones that have a lightning port. I’m trying to make sure that this port is intact a USB-C female port since products on amazon specify if it’s male or female. I tried looking online for the difference but the little metal strip in the middle of the port looks different from the photos. I looked up my laptop online but it only says USB-C and doesn’t specify. Thank you! submitted by /u/vaango143 to r/UsbCHardware [link] [comments]

iPhone 15pro: USB-C to aux not working :(
I switched to the iPhone 15 pro, and I’m surprised at the issues we’ve been seeing! I bought a separate usb-c to aux in order to connect my 3.5mm earphones to it, and it did not work. Used to work fine with my iPhone11. I go to the genius bar, and they plus in the apple 3.5mm headphones, and that works. Apparently their introduction of usb-c not only didn’t bring in useful extra features, now it seems its only compatible with apple products ? Anyone else experiencing issues like this? submitted by /u/Responsible-Cheetah1 to r/iphone [link] [comments]

With the next iPhone dropping the 3.5mm jack, would now not be the best time to drop Lightning too in favour of USB-C?
Apple is using USB-C on the MacBook, likely on the future MacBook Pro, and hopefully for the iPad Pro too. With all laptops trending towards USB-C as the "one port to rule them all", and Android phones converting to USB-C, Apple has an opportunity to ensure that USB-C becomes the port for everything. No longer would you have to worry about what charger for what device, because all smartphones, tablets, and laptops would use USB-C! The loss of the 3.5mm would be less of a big deal because in the future, all earphones would be USB-C, and USB-C earphones would work on all of your devices. But right now, if they drop the 3.5mm but keep Lightning, you'll have to have a separate pair of earphones for iOS devices and for every single other device, whereas at least if they go with USB-C, it'll work in future with all other Android phones. Worse, if major Android phones drop 3.5mm, then you'll have to have 3 different types of earphones. Total and utter fragmentation for the consumer. The reason to switch to USB-C now is that if they don't, people will buy Lightning earphones and headphones which will become completely useless in future. For me, this feels like an "either you go the full way, or you do nothing" scenario. Keeping the 3.5mm jack would be great! But we know Apple are killing it. So IMO, it would be the worst of both worlds to kill 3.5mm but keep Lightning. At least if they do it all at once, they can go through one generation of "consumer pain" but pave the way for a bright and simple future where every device uses USB-C and nothing else. USB-C could become the universal connector for.... everything. But Lightning is the stubborn mule in this vision of the future. submitted by /u/Heaney555 to r/apple [link] [comments]
