My current headphones (Skullcandy Crusher ANC 1s) after a good run of almost 5 years are on their last leg, so today I have been searching around and I just thought I would ask this sub. I have a big music folder where I just collect FLACs/WAVs of albums, and I would love to get a more immersive experience. I don't care about the price, they could be $300 or $5000, just whatever sounds the best. I've been eyeing the Beyerdynamic T1 3rd gens but according to a reddit review of them they are not "accurate" sounding. First off, yes my parents still put restrictions on me. Second, my dad has and always thinks that plugging in wired headphones will "fry" your ears and brain because theres electricity running through my headphones and can cause damage. I haven't been able to convince him to allow me, and I'm really craving some IEMs because how worth it they are. He always tells me to use wireless headphones because they're better, but I can't bear having a huge chunk of foam on my ears for a long period of time, and that most of them are pretty expensive nowadays. Is there a way I can finally convince him? I've tried everything and he still doesn't budge. Edit: I came here for advice, and then yall attack my dad all of the sudden. I get that it's irritating, I know, but atleast try to keep it calm? This isn't what I came for, stop attacking him. I know he's pretty lost about this, but I'm not gonna crashout on him just because he doesn't know this stuff. Yes, I get that he's wrong for not being knowledgeable and defending himself at the same time. You can't lose one earbud without ripping it off, if they fall you can always grab the wire, they don't run out of battery, you can put the cord inside your clothes if it gets in your way. I'm so sad phones no longer support wired earphones. I hope one day society will open their eyes and see the truth. AirPods are overrated. You have to charge them. You have to keep track of many components (both pods, case, charger). You can easily lose them or drop them into an endless abyss that is the subway grate in the sidewalk. Not wired headphones! You never have to worry about if they’re charged; they’ll never die mid-run! When you drop them, they’re not likely to fall somewhere to their death, and they’re harder to lose!!
