I'm hoping y'all can help me! Summer is coming here, and I'm looking for some pants that are surprisingly hard to find: wide leg or palazzo mostly linen or cotton, but in a stretch blend light summer weight fabric (not ponte or sweatshirt material) with pockets I want something that is breathable in the heat, that would look ok in an office, and that I can randomly do yoga moves in because my body needs that these days. I'm tired of changing clothes to do my PT exercises, I don't want to bust a seam in normal pants, and I hate the feel of full synthetic active wear. All the pants I'm finding by searching ("stretch linen" "linen-blend stretch" etc) just have a stretchy elastic waist, not actually stretchy fabric. 41 yo and 5’ I’ve got on board with the wide leg jeans. It was confusing but I did it and have abandoned all skinny jeans! Yay me! But for athleisure wear I am still wearing leggings / yoga pants. I'm 39 with 4 kids and only 5 feet tall, and on the fuller side before actual plus sizing starts. My kids are old enough now that I'm not living in yoga pants, and I'm working again, so I feel ready to put some more effort into my look. However, all the stuff I try on is just so darn uncomfortable. I crave the stretchy comfort of my yoga pants. At work we have to wear a specific shirt, so I just wear yoga style dress pants, but they're almost too dressy to wear after work, like going to my son's baseball game. Also I mainly only wear bootcut pants because I'm so short and curvy that I feel like wide leg and straight leg look weird on me. Am I doomed to only slightly comfortable real pants? hi everyone, i’m learning how to sew and i started by hemming these pants bc they were too long for me. i just cut a straight line across as seen in the photo (yeah it’s a little crooked - i went in and tried to make it as straight as i could but you get the idea). then hemmed it. after hemming it, it just looks a little weird to me. does anyone know what i mean? i know i still have to iron it, but the proportions just don’t look right. i like the “look” of the original pants more than how it looks hemmed. did i make a mistake? should i have cut the bottom in a curve? did i cut too much fabric off? or is this related to the blueprint of the pants itself? maybe the length/ curvature of the pants were designed for someone taller and that’s why it looks weird when you just cut it short? sorry if these are dumb questions, but i just picked up sewing and would appreciate any insight on this :) thank you! submitted by /u/ResponsibilityNo2880 to r/sewing [link] [comments]

I searched petite yoga dress pants and found everything from 26"-30" inseams, in bootcut, flare, straight leg, wide leg...everything. I am 5' 3" and I ordered the MoFiz "Stretch Business Casual Pants Yoga Dress Pants" and the Willit "yoga dress pant".
