Recommended on the go pump
Hey everyone, my wife has been exclusively pumping for our little one. And absolutely killing it! I am Looking for recommendations on the best portable / wearable breast pump for on-the-go use. We already have the Spectra s1 and it’s amazing, but we need something more mobile that can: • fit in a diaper bag • be used hands-free (ideally in-bra) • be used while out and about (car, errands, etc.) Not expecting hospital-grade performance like the Spectra, but still want something that’s reliable and efficient. So far I’ve been seeing options like wearable pumps from Momcozy, Medela, Elvie, Willow, etc., but it’s hard to tell what’s actually worth it. Would love to hear: • what you’re using • what you liked/disliked • anything to avoid Appreciate any advice 🙏 submitted by /u/spencer923 to r/ExclusivelyPumping [link] [comments]

Willow Go Review
After 11 months of using the Willow Go I wanted to share my thoughts. I have a bit of a love–hate relationship with the Willow Go Breast Pump—but overall, it’s earned its place in my routine. This is my second baby and second time pumping. With my first, I used the Spectra Breast Pump through insurance, and this time I wanted something more flexible, so I went with the Willow Go. At home, I still primarily use my Spectra, but since I travel often, the Willow Go has been my go-to on the move. In terms of output, I get about the same from both pumps. The difference is that I tend to pump longer with the Willow simply because it’s hands-free and cordless—huge when you’re juggling two kids. Pros: •In the early months, the 7 oz cup option was a lifesaver. I was producing a lot (sometimes around 13 oz combined per session), so the extra capacity really mattered. •Total freedom—I’ve pumped while driving, walking around, and even on an airplane. •Super convenient for travel. No cords, easy to pack, and you can pump pretty much anywhere. Cons: •It has to be assembled perfectly to work. If anything is slightly off, you’ll get no suction and have to take it apart and try again. Sometimes it takes me 2–3 attempts to get it right. •Cleaning and sterilizing can be a bit of a hassle since the parts are larger and a little awkward to handle. •It’s not as discreet as advertised. It’s fairly quiet, but definitely noticeable in close settings. Overall: Despite the learning curve and occasional frustration, I would absolutely use the Willow Go again. The convenience and mobility make it worth it—especially for busy moms who are constantly on the go. Just be prepared for a little trial and error when it comes to getting the perfect seal. What are your thoughts of Willow Go? Love it or Hate it? And what would you recommend instead? submitted by /u/Major_Champion4508 to r/ExclusivelyPumping [link] [comments]

Wearable pumps for larger breasts?
I currently have the spectra s1 for a main pump however I am very often on the go where wearables would be more efficient. I mostly breast feed but would love the option when out/away from baby to pop something in a bra and continue doing whatever. I was looking into the eufy s1pro, m5s, or willow go. I’m a 40h and did not honestly think about the possibility of wearables not working very well or fitting well. submitted by /u/EducationalPanda24 to r/breastfeeding [link] [comments]

Seeking breast pump advice
I’ve been researching breast pumps for a while and I feel like I need to decide and order one soon. I’ve read a lot of reviews but I’m hoping that I can get some more personal, definitely unsponsored reviews and suggestions here. Free with my insurance: Ameda Mya Joy Plus Lasinoh Discreet Duo Lasinoh Signature Pro Lasinoh Smart Pump 3.0 Thrive 2 in 1 Medela Pump in Style Motif Duo Zomee Z2 Under $200 with insurance: Baby Buddha 2.0 Cimilre S6 and S6 Plus Elvie Stride and Stride 2 Medela Swing Maxi Handsfree Momcozy M5 Momcozy M6 Momcozy S12 Pro Motif Luna (with battery as well) Spectra S1 Plus Spectra S2 Spectra S9 Willow Go Willow Sync Zomee Fit Right now I’m leaning toward the Spectra S1 Plus. I’m looking for something that can be portable, as I’ll be returning to work pretty soon after baby boy is born :( so a battery or car adapter is a must, preferably a battery. I am very interested in and curious about wearables though! They seem so convenient and nice. However, I hear they’re not very strong and I’m worried about getting one before I know how breastfeeding is going. Right now my plan is to breastfeed baby as much as possible and only pump when necessary, but I’m not sure if things will go as planned so I want to have a nice, strong pump in case I end up pumping more than I expect. Unless you guys think I can get away with just a wearable? This is my first baby so I’m not sure of anything! Open to advice and anecdotes. If you’ve used any of these pumps, let me know what you think! Thank you and sorry this was so long submitted by /u/Mean-Year4646 to r/Buyingforbaby [link] [comments]

Experiences with the Willow Go?
I got these pumps as a secondary after seeing all the rave about them online and I have got to say, I kind of hate them. I have tried them for the past month and the suction is poor and it takes forever for me to get a letdown. When I do eventually get a letdown it lasts for only a little bit. I usually get about 7-8 oz in my last pump and I just got 1.5 oz after 20 minutes. Did I get a faulty pump or can anyone relate? ETA: I have checked and none of the parts need to get replaced and my flange size is correct, confirmed by an IBCLC submitted by /u/EquipmentSad7641 to r/ExclusivelyPumping [link] [comments]

Breast Pump Choice!
First time mom, trying to choose a pump through the options provided with insurance. Important considerations, I'm a highschool teacher, so may not have a break for pumping for 6 hours or so. But I will have constant access to a full kitchen with fridge and laundry facilities (I teach Food & Nutrition). My mom was a low producer, so idk if I'll follow suit. If it matters, I'm already a bra size E/F. I want something that's fairly easy and will last so I don't have to deal with warranty and returns. Lmk the pros/cons and your favorites! If it's not on the list, I can add it to the registry and maybe someone will pick it up for us. The options I have are: Ameda Mya Joy Plus Baby Buddha 2.0 Cimilre E1 Cimilre S6 Lansinoh Wearable Lansinoh Discreet Duo Medela Freestyle Medela Pump In Style Pro Double Motif Aura Spectra 9 Plus Spectra Premier Wearable Spectra S1 Spectra S2 Spectra SG Swing Maxi Unimom Minuet Unimom Opera Willow Go Zomee Fit Zomee Z2 Shabbat Mode Zomee Z2 Silicone Hands Free submitted by /u/Damnit_Bird to r/BabyBumps [link] [comments]

I absolutely hated my Willow go. I would get barely 1-2 oz per breast whereas with my wall pump I’d get 8-9oz. 2nd pregnancy and wanting to invest in a different wearable pump. I hate how expensive breast pumps are when there's no guarantee they will work
I've been EBF my baby since they were born, with the occasional bottle in the beginning while my milk was coming in. We're approaching the time I need to get back to work and so I've been looking for a handsfree pump. The pediatrician believed I might be an oversupplier since baby tends to spit up frequently and I'll still pump extra too. I spent HOURS researching the best handsfree/ in bra pumps that would work for me. It sucks that we can't try them out once, hold them, or even see many of them in stores. It's just sheer luck if it work for your body or not. I ended up buying the Willow Go and hate it. I knew it had lots of pieces to wash which wouldn't bother me if it worked! My milk output is about a fraction of what it normally is when I pump with my Ameda MyaJoy. It's also very heavy which I've never seen mentioned. I probably would've gone with the Medela had I been able to hold them and physically compare before buying. These pumps are expensive. I understand that they can't and shouldn't be returned, but there's got to be something these companies can do for their buyers. I'm now out $300 for a pump that I used for 25 minutes! I just wish I hadn't bought another pump when I already have one that works, even if I'm connected to a bunch of tubes and wires. Edit: I really only made this post because I had such buyers remorse with the Willow Go and their customer service with me was atrocious. Thank you so much for making me not feel so alone in this. I’m still going to continue trying to sell the pump in those fb groups or online where I can. The thing is, my Ameda MyaJoy is technically a wearable but I have a velcro baby and can’t hold them while trying to pump. So I was looking for a suitable in bra one. Guess I’ll just stick with the Ameda though since I know it works. submitted by /u/magicalmoxie to r/ExclusivelyPumping [link] [comments]

A review of the Willow Go
I’ve been using the Willow Go now for about a month and wanted to leave a review for others who were trying to find a good wearable pump. The TLDR: I love this wearable but you need the right flange inserts AND there’s a lot of pump parts to wash. There’s also an annoying app but I’m neutral on that. Longer review: I have a spectra synergy gold as my primary pump (amazing pump btw!). I wanted something more portable to use while doing household chores so I looked into the willow. I absolutely love this pump! I use 17mm flange inserts so I have larger breasts with smaller nipples. The fit is great for me. Getting the right flange size is absolutely key to good output with wearables. I get the same output as my spectra with my willow. I usually pump for longer (13 minutes on spectra, 22 minutes on willow). Also the suction strength is stronger on the willow. Here are my settings for reference: Spectra (stimulation/expression): 3/9 Willow(stimulation/expression): 3/6 I use the wearable with a nursing tank and that holds the pump fine for me. I never really have to use a pumping bra. The battery life is kinda meh but if you charge it right after using it you should be good to go for the next time you need to use it. Also I wish there was someway to see the current expression level on the pump itself instead of the app. The app is fairly glitchy but gets the job done. The biggest con for me is washing all the pump parts. Idk why but it feels more tedious than washing the parts for my spectra. Happy to answer questions others may have because I know I did a ton of research on this sub before settling on Willow as my wearable! submitted by /u/Brompton_Cocktail to r/ExclusivelyPumping [link] [comments]

Breast pump I can use while sleeping & laying down
I’m 35 weeks pregnant FTM. I want a breast pump I can use while laying down (on my back or side) that won’t be too painful. I’d like to sleep while using it. My husband has 3 months paternity leave & can put the breast pump on me while I’m sleeping so my sleep is not interrupted. I have bipolar disorder and my psychiatrist told me she doesn’t want me to wake up for night breastfeedings to prevent post-partum psychosis. I assume pumping would be much faster than breastfeeding at the beginning. My plan is to have my husband use the pump on me at night the first few weeks to increase my supply and I’ll breastfeed while I’m awake. Even if I’m half-awake during the night pumping sessions, I’d be okay with that if it was just for 15-20 min of laying down while using the breast pump and then I could fall back asleep. I take a very sedative bipolar medication at night that knocks me out and am an extremely heavy sleeper, so what would make most women wake up likely wouldn’t wake me up. ALSO: How often in the first 2 weeks would we need to pump to establish my supply? After that, can I sleep 9 hours straight? What do you think? Here are the hands-free breast pumps my insurance will pay for: Willow Go Wearable breast pump (I’d buy the spill-proof milk bags to use with it) Freemie Independence II hands-free double electric Medela Freestyle hands-free double electric Lansinoh wearable Zomee Fit wearable I’m willing to get one not on my insurance as well if there is a better one that works for sleeping/laying down! Also if there’s a non hands-free one that would work while laying down please let me know! I just assumed the hands free ones would work best. submitted by /u/lizziesanswers to r/ExclusivelyPumping [link] [comments]

AITA for asking my wife to do chores while pumping?
My wife is a SAHM and I work long hours. When I get home, i just want to take a break for a little bit before helping out. Everyday I get back, she immediately throws our baby at me and tells me to watch him while she goes breast pumps and watches korean drama for like an hour. I got her one of those portable pumps (willow, no tubing, fits in the bra) so she’s not stuck to one position while pumping. She says she can’t do chores or baby care because pumping is painful and she needs to do something she enjoys to get her mind off the pain or else she can’t get enough milk during that session. I told her I didn’t believe it and she was using pumping and milk production as an excuse to take a break and get away for an hour. i do not mind giving her a break but i feel like she’s making it up to justify a break. She accused me of calling her liar. (Btw, when I say long hours, I’m talking like 14-18 hours a day, 6 days a week. There are days I only have 6 hours off between shifts but stead of sleeping, i have to watch our baby for an hour and it results in me only getting 5 hours of sleep for several nights. And I do help out a little during the 6 days and we split the rest of the work on my off day.) Edit: let me clarify, if she said “i need a break and go watch kdrama, you watch him for an hour”, i would not have questioned it. She’s always worried about my health as well. Half the nights, she gets up before I wake up to do my night feeding/diaper shift so i get more sleep. I was just wondering did she say thag bc she felt guilty she’s asking me to give up an hour of sleep to take a break so she made an excuse or is this a real thing… “my milk letdown is low if I’m not fully relaxed and distracted from the pain” submitted by /u/EquivalentSeason696 to r/AmItheAsshole [link] [comments]
